For Type 2 Diabetes "I'm type 2 diabetic and was on Ozempic for quite some time and having difficulty getting my medication. My doctor changed me to Mounjaro for my diabetes thinking I would be able to get my meds. I started on the 5 mg since I had been on Ozempic. My side effects were typical slight nausea. I was trying to get my second month filled and the issues started with availability AGAIN. The 5 mg and 7.5 mg were on backorder. He increased my dose to 10 mg. I have experienced sulfur burps, but that is about it. I have not seen much weight loss, but then again I'm more concerned about my diabetes. Shame on the drug companies for dangling a medication that works to lower A1C and cholesterol and choosing to utilize it for weight loss where the insurance won't cover it. I'm not using this medication for vanity, it's for my chronic disease."

For Type 2 Diabetes "I started Mounjaro to help control my blood sugar. I had tried Ozempic and Trulicity and could not tolerate the nausea, sulfur burps, and stomach issues. Mounjaro has been life-changing. No bad side effects. I’m not hungry, I don’t have cravings, I’m losing weight steadily, and sweet desserts taste too sweet. Many people say they’ve had bad side effects with it. I say try it as it may work for you. Just like I couldn’t use other meds that other people love. For me, it has been life-altering."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I started out one month ago on the lowest dose of 2.5. I could tell after a few weeks that my hunger had diminished a bit, and I felt a lot less bloated. By the 4th week, I was feeling extremely cold and fatigued and had lost 5 lbs. I just started this week on the next dosage of 5.0 and am hoping for more weight loss. I barely have an appetite, and nothing really sounds good to me other than apples. Thankfully, my glucose readings have come down, and I'm not needing as much insulin. "Started with 2.5, been on it nearly three weeks, anticipated side effects but other than mild constipation, I experienced none. My appetite was nonexistent, had to remember to eat. Night eating gone, overeating gone, strong cravings gone. Injection easy peasy. Coupon only way I could afford this med (25/mo versus over 1k/mo). No feeling weird like stimulants, just pretty normal. I'm pairing with intermittent fasting per my GP and trying to incorporate intuitive eating as much as possible. I am not counting calories or weighing myself but I am likely down 5-10# in 2 weeks combo of water weight and loss. Bloat gone, body feels good, excited to see if this keeps working this well."

I had minimal side effects besides constipation and lost a total of 28 lbs. I did not wing off the medication, and everything went fine. For Type 2 Diabetes "I started taking Mounjaro on 9/1. This resulted in the very worst month of my life. WEEK ONE - Super Nauseous, indigestion, stomach pain for 3-4 days of the first week. My appetite went from a 10 to a 2 (which was good). WEEK TWO - I had diarrhea for 3-4 days, along with sulfur belches, nausea, stomach pain. I ended up having to take sick days and go get an IV bag to recover from the dehydration. WEEK THREE - World-class nausea and vomiting. 3 days of vomiting so hard that I ruptured my esophagus. The entire month, if I was not having diarrhea, I was VERY constipated. I lost 9 lbs in one month, but I don't know if it was because I could barely eat due to the sickness. PASS!!"

For Type 2 Diabetes "I am 6ft and started at 213lbs. Blood sugars were a little elevated and I could see they were headed in the wrong direction. I also have severe sleep apnea. I started at 7.5 and just finished my fourth week. This drug is amazing. I’m down 24 lbs in 28 days. Lost 4 lbs last week. Current weight is 189lb. Goal is 175lb. I check my blood sugar 2 or 3 times a day. My highest reading was 101 about an hour after eating. Most readings in the low 80s which is perfect. I couldn’t have asked for more from this drug. Side effects are constipation (drink lots of water) and tired the day after the shot. I’ve been slightly overweight my entire life. I hope to lose this weight and then see if the sleep apnea goes away. Life changing."

For Type 2 Diabetes "I am a 6'2", 46-year-old male who started his journey at 305 lbs. My doctor prescribed me Mounjaro 10.0 in Jan. of 2023. In Dec. of 2023, I went to level 12.5. Mounjaro, along with a balanced diet and exercising 4-5 days a week, changed my life for the better. I went from a 'Living to Eat' person to an 'Eating to Live' person. Mounjaro helps me mentally and physically. After I eat, I feel fuller longer, and I don't get food cravings. It's amazing!! I went from 305 lbs to 238 lbs. That is 67 lbs in 13-14 months. I am off all insulin. I stopped snoring at night. I am participating in 5K races. Achieving goals and having fun! Team Gavin, I treat my body like a football team - Offense - gym four to five days a week, Defense - portion control, Special Teams - Mounjaro injections once a week. For Type 2 Diabetes "Holy side effects. First, if you eat when you take it, it just sits in your stomach and you’ll be burping it for 12 hours. The headache is insane. Starts immediately. Then you are hit with 3 days of nausea, fatigue, and just overall fatigue. Just when you start to feel better, cue the insane heartburn! It took me 5 days to feel normal again. I’ll pass on this even though I lost 5 pounds the first week."

For Type 2 Diabetes "Be careful when deciding to take this medication. I advise you to speak first with your doctor, and if you could find another way to lose weight, you should decide to go with something else. The side effects for some people are almost unbearable. I was 100% healthy before taking this. Now my blood sugar levels are low, I cannot wait for this to leave my system. It’s hard to work out, I feel awful. Ever since I stopped taking it, since my sugar levels are low, I have to eat more sugar, and it’s hard to eat. I feel nauseous, and it’s so hard to start the day feeling like this. Please beware, I know of people that are not even eating while taking this because they lost their appetite, and they have to blend their food because it won’t go down. The side effects at the beginning for many people are really awful. If you have to work and be productive, don’t take this medicine, you will regret it."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I have been on Mounjaro for just two weeks. I've lost 5 pounds without trying. While that's nice, I am posting a very early review to let other newbies know that other than some indigestion the first two days, I haven't had any side effects. I had major constipation on Ozempic. I find taking a daily stool softener, staying hydrated, taking a Metamucil tablet daily, and taking a daily prebiotic (get the refrigerated one in your pharmacy as it has live cultures. Keep it refrigerated!). I'm on 5 mg, but I am moving up to 7.5 next week. I will go to 10 mg if there is no supply of 7.5. My pharmacist said to get my order for the 7.5 mg in at least 7 days early so they can get it in on time. They don't stock it, but they get it overnight. Just FYI, after using Ozempic and Mounjaro, I weigh less than I did 10 years ago. I've gone down 4 sizes and 4 inches off my waist since Christmas! Now a petite XL rapidly headed to petite L."

I began having a reaction at the injection site and suffered a little blurred vision occasionally. I am now on my first week of 12.5 mg and find that 3 days after taking the injection, I am having pains (like muscle strain or a trapped nerve) in various and multiple places. This has been the case for 4 days now, so I am a bit dubious about taking my second injection tomorrow. For Type 2 Diabetes "This is my fifth week, and I started on 2.5 mg and now on 5.0 mg. I have had only one side effect: dry mouth, but I lost 29 lbs in the first month. I weighed 243 lbs and now I am down to 214 lbs. If you don’t eat fried foods, sugar, or heavy carbs, you will do great. I don’t overeat anymore. Plus, I exercise, I walk 5 miles a day. I drink at least 64 fl oz of water. This medication is worth taking. I had no issues at all and feel great. I can’t wait to fulfill my journey. The key is to follow a plan. If you want a life change, this is it! I used the coupon, and only certain pharmacies know how to code it. I got lucky because my pharmacy worked with me."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "Before I started Mounjaro in December 2024, I was miserable and very unhappy at 210 pounds. All my blood tests were negative, and my diabetes was on the border. After I kept going to the injections at the beginning, I ate and didn’t lose much, but after I moved to 7.5, I lost 60 pounds without any problems. I just don’t want to eat large portions. I started taking Mounjaro just a little over a year. I started with 5mg in the first week and lost 9lbs in one week, then I increased to 7mg and continued to lose weight. Long story short, I am now on 15mg and I have lost a total of 90lbs, from 339 to 247. This is unbelievable. I too have to make myself eat, like other reviews have stated. I feel so good. I have had 3 major back surgeries within the past 3 years. My A1C was never good, but now it's perfect. I used to walk hunched over, and now my posture is perfect. For Type 2 Diabetes "I saw this medication on TikTok and decided to try it. Started on 2.5 mg on 9/23/22 at 204 pounds. Had some chills and started feeling a little off, lightheaded, metallic taste in mouth, major loss of appetite, increased anxiety. Continued through the 2.5 mg then moved up to 5.0 mg. On my 4th injection of 5.0 mg, my life flipped upside down. This medication caused me some serious side effects, syncope, dehydration, electrolytes to be out of sync, chest pain, and one heck of a panic attack while at work, I had to be rushed to the ER. Very scary and thankful I was not driving when it happened. I've stopped the medication immediately. I want to feel normal again. Down to 190 pounds now, not worth the risk."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I am just starting week 5. I started on 5mg, so today was my first 7.5. Last month, I lost exactly 20 pounds. I started at 222 and now I'm at 202 after 1 month. I get bad constipation, but nothing Dulcolax liquid can't fix. I drink 2 protein shakes a day, a handful of chicken, and some days I replace chicken with fruits and low-fat cottage cheese. I drink lots of water and have 1 coffee with only milk once a week. I can't wait until this time next month. It's definitely a game changer.
