For Diabetes, Type 2 "Started on 2.5 mg 3 weeks ago. I’m 5’2” and starting weight was 175.4, my highest was 180. I decided to try medication after my waist was 39 inches. After my 3rd injection, I am now 165 and lost 3 inches off my waist. This is with minimal exercise and mostly appetite suppression. Bacon and eggs that I have eaten faithfully as part of an attempt at the keto diet, I just can’t eat. Food is unappealing. I’ve struggled 2x this week to reach 1200 calories. That has never happened to me before. Side effects: indigestion, fatigue. Hoping this continues to work with minimal adverse events. I’ve been gaining/losing the same 3-5 pounds since my daughter’s birth 5 years ago. This makes sticking to a meal plan so much easier. My binge eating during “shark week” had gotten out of control. I’d like to add my kettlebell training back, hoping I get some energy back."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I have lost 73 lbs in 7 months. I am not hungry, cranky, normal energy levels. I eat what I want, just greatly reduced portions and I am full. Fried & processed foods no longer taste good and I naturally migrate to healthier foods, fruits & veggies. My cholesterol numbers have plummeted and are all in the normal range, I no longer have acid reflux and I quit snoring. I've gone from size 40 waist to a size 32. XL shirts and underwear to Medium. I have not felt this good or had as much energy in 30 years."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "In the beginning, I couldn’t bend over to tie my shoes without having to take a break to breathe, or go through my 8-hour shift on my feet without having knee and ankle pain to the point of tears. I couldn’t wait until I was able to sit down and not get up but just to turn around and do it again. Injecting myself with very simple and easy steps to follow. I had very few side effects, only an occasional loose stool or nauseous sensation once in a while. My starting weight was 248 pounds and I am now 160 pounds. This has been a huge impact on my physical health. I'm able to walk and move throughout my day without having pain from the extra weight and stress on my joints."

For Diabetes, Type 2 "I have had A1C..11...after two months of using Mounjaro it's now 7 and I have been losing 2 or three pounds a week. A friend took picture of me and I actually saw the weight loss. I am 64 years old. I have had high blood sugar and pressure for over 10 years so it's more than just nice to be normal. Thank you Mounjaro medicine helped with both"

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I have been struggling on the weight loss roller coaster for a while. Up 30lbs, down 15lbs, and so on and so forth. I'm taking a compound Moujaro with B12. I have only been on 2.5 mg for less than a week and in that time, I feel GREAT! I've lost 3lbs and don't crave midnight snacks, or snacks at all for that matter. The first couple of days I was unsure if I wanted to continue. I was exhausted, I couldn't think clearly, and had no energy. My body ached all over-no one had mentioned this, and just flat out was about to think that this was not for me. Day 3 and I felt great both physically and mentally. I hear people go up on dosage even after losing weight the first month, and unless I stall in my loss, I will continue on 2.5mg. Remember, too much weight loss in a short amount of time isn't healthy. Slow and steady will help you keep the weight off when you stop taking this medicine (obviously with a change in your eating habits). Why put more drugs into my body than what is needed?"

For Diabetes, Type 2 "Wonderful. No side effects. Have appetite suppression, which is good for weight loss. However, I do not feel I am starving at all. Have lost 6.8 lbs. in the first two weeks. Taking 2.5 mg. Walking 45 minutes on treadmill early each day and do not really have the desire to eat junk food. Eat well, especially breakfast which was the same I had been doing, but the same after I had heart surgery last year. I am increasing to 5mg. after this week and I will see how it goes. No side effects at all as far as I can tell."

For Diabetes, Type 2 "Started taking 2.5 last Thursday. Day 1 no side effects, day 2 mild nausea, day 3 everything broke loose! Dizzy spells, clammy sweats, severe abdominal pains, and bloating. Ended up in ER and blood pressure was so high I was at stroke level! Readings were 220/123, 187/113, 197/116, 178/112! No issues before medication! Beware this medication is so new there is no telling show many other side effects it can have! I pray this mess gets out of my system soon!"

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I started taking this medication for weight loss. My first round of the 4 injections was 2.5 mg and it had no negative side effects at all, I just had no appetite. I lost 10 lbs within that 4 weeks. I then moved up to the .5 mg. The day after taking the first injection nausea hit like a train. I never threw up but was just nauseous. I called my doctor, and she prescribed medication for the nausea which helped immensely. By the time I took my second injection, the nausea had gone away, and I had lost another 5 lbs. I still have so much more to go and I'm very optimistic. I literally have had no appetite; nothing sounds good or tastes good. I do drink as much water as I can throughout the day. I've had no problems with constipation but as a precaution, I take a couple of stool softeners once a week and I'm good to go. I used to have a sweet tooth, but not now. Great benefits, has tolerable side effects and is very easy to use."

For Diabetes, Type 2 "Started 10/26. Weight 245, female. 2.5 1x, 5, 1x, 10mg, last 2 months. Current 214. Zero exercise unfortunately. I have read so many reviews and I am baffled at all these bad side effects, since mine were so minor (except constipation and tiredness day after injection). Learned early, no sugar, breads, or pasta/potato. I take no other meds, do a strict low carb and fast. I have a protein shake at noon, a meat and a LC veg for dinner (small portion always), then freeze a protein shake for two hours and it makes ice creamish. Delish! That’s all I eat daily. Hunger is now fully controllable! My A1C started at 6.7, BUT I was on low carb for 6 weeks prior to blood work so likely much higher in general. Last weeks blood test showed A1C at 5.0. My ALT SGPT (liver) was high last test, and normal range this time. What did go up was my top 4 CBC numbers. Overall, this is a game changer. So grateful. I truly believe eating right is the key when on this med. Hope this helps someone."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I am a white male, age 64, with type 2 diabetes. I started with a weight of 280 pounds, but in 10 weeks, I have managed to reduce it to 219 pounds. This achievement has been possible with the help of Mounjaro. Currently, I am only taking 7.5 units of Mounjaro. Previously, I used to take 5 insulin shots a day, but now I only require 1 in the morning if my sugar levels are above 145. My goal is to become insulin-free, and I am on my way to achieving that. I have been dependent on insulin for over 20 years. In addition to medication, I have made significant lifestyle changes. I work out 5 times a week and have made adjustments to my diet. These efforts, combined with Mounjaro, have allowed me to get back my life. I am grateful to Mounjaro for giving me this opportunity to regain control of my health."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "Good results. Immediate appetite suppression starting with the lowest dose. More importantly, my food cravings went away. It takes a couple of weeks, at most, to get through the psychological part of less appetite/less food. You get full quickly and yet you feel like you still want to eat because your mind is telling you, "how can you be full already, you've only had 4 bites?" It only takes one or two times of being nauseated or vomiting to remember to eat less. I have lost 48 lbs in exactly 7 months, and my hypertension is gone."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I am currently taking Mounjaro. I was weighing 263 lbs in November 2023, and I have lost 93 lbs. I am at 170 now. I went from size 18 and 20 to size 12. I was on Ozempic and could not take that; it made me so sick. I have no problems with Mounjaro other than sulfur burps and a lot of gas. I have to make myself eat, and when I do, I only eat a bite of food. I am on the 7.5 dosage now, and I am so lucky that my insurance covers it, and my cost is $25.00."

"Started taking specifically for weight loss. Starting weight on Aug 1 was 192# and did the 2.5mg for a month. Weight on Aug 30 was 176#! Only side effect was the WORST dry mouth -woah! Not expecting that but it went away. It completely took away constant thoughts of eating and cravings. Weight loss was effortless. Started 5mg - 2nd week had a lot more nausea - felt like pregnancy nausea. If I was busy, I wouldn't think about it but if I thought about eating or smelled food - no thank you! It was the most intense the day after I did my shot and for the next 2 days or so. Weight after 2 months - 162.6! I'm on week 7 of 5mg and the nausea is basically gone. Weight hasn't changed for the last week."

For Diabetes, Type 2 "I am a Type-2 diabetic. I have been on Mounjaro for several months. It is controlling my blood sugar great, and I have lost some weight. My biggest problem with the Mounjaro is the fact that I cannot get it because of unavailability. I don't understand how people who want to lose weight take priority over people with a medical condition. The people with diabetes need this medication and are not able to get their prescriptions filled because the people who want to lose weight are hoarding this medication. I also want to lose weight, however, the control of my blood sugars is a priority to me. I cannot control my blood sugars without my medication. Something needs to be done so that diabetics can control the disease. Obesity is not a disease, but diabetes is. Mounjaro is a great medication for type-2 diabetics for controlling their blood sugar. Availability for diabetics should be a priority."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I'm a 53-year-old male and my weight has gone up slowly with each passing year, so the ladies at my doctor's office were telling me how they all were losing weight by taking the Mounjaro shots. I was a little bit worried at first because of the thought of having to give myself a shot. I barely felt it, so I started out on the 2.5 shots, and the only side effect I got was the burping sulfur taste. This is the absolute best thing I could have done; it's lowered my blood pressure, and I'm off the meds for that. I sleep better and feel healthier, the only bad thing is my clothes don't fit. I'm feeling better about myself. I'm now on the 10mgs, but each month I went up to a stronger dose, but I'm going to stay with the 10s as a maintenance shot. I don't feel hungry at all; I have no cravings, I have to make myself eat, and when I do eat, it's just a little bit at a time. You don't want to overeat on this or you will be sorry. I highly recommend it. A big thanks to the makers of Mounjaro. I've lost 40 pounds in 4 months."

"Started with 2.5, been on it nearly three weeks, anticipated side effects but other than mild constipation, I experienced none. My appetite was nonexistent, had to remember to eat. Night eating gone, overeating gone, strong cravings gone. Injection easy peasy. Coupon only way I could afford this med (25/mo versus over 1k/mo). No feeling weird like stimulants, just pretty normal. I'm pairing with intermittent fasting per my GP and trying to incorporate intuitive eating as much as possible. I am not counting calories or weighing myself but I am likely down 5-10# in 2 weeks combo of water weight and loss. Bloat gone, body feels good, excited to see if this keeps working this well."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I have never had anything like this in my life! I was always small and IBW until I went through menopause. Afterwards, I gained weight regardless of what I did. Nothing I tried, and no program I did helped. Once I reached a size 22 on my 5'4 frame and weighed almost 230 lb, I decided to do something else. By this time, I had also become "pre-diabetic" and was insulin resistant. I have been on Mounjario for 7 months and am now a size 8, down 65 pounds. My blood sugars are perfect, and I feel like my old self again! The journey has been effortless, and I enjoy the foods I like, but my body metabolizes it better. I have now switched to Wegovy since insurance only covers Mounjaro if you are a diabetic. I would stay on it forever, but cannot continue to pay almost $1100.00/month for it."

"I started Mounjaro on July 1, 2022. I just turned 74 and was at the end of my rope with my obesity. I immediately developed a sour stomach/nausea and heartburn. But the wonderful side effect of having no appetite and not obsessing about food EVERY WAKING MOMENT was worth it. I still enjoy food, just eat less than half what I used to and no snacking. I lost 30 pounds in 2 months. I take one more injection (totally painless and easy to give) of 7.5 mg and then move up to 10 mg. My worst problem is terrible constipation. I’m working on it by using Colace, etc. but haven’t solved it completely. Since I’m on Medicare, I am paying THOUSANDS of dollars for this drug. So my savings account is decreasing but so is my weight. If I can afford it, I hope to stay on Mounjaro for one year. I still go to Weight Watchers and live by their eating plan which is very healthy."

For Diabetes, Type 2 "I’m type 2 diabetic and was on Ozempic for quite sometime and having difficulty getting my med. My doctor changed me to Mounjaro for my diabetes thinking I would be able to get my meds. I started on the 5mg since I had been on Ozempic. My side effects were typical slight nausea. I was trying to get my 2nd month filled and the issues started with availability AGAIN. The 5mg and 7.5mg were on backorder. He increased my dose to 10mg. I have experienced sulfur burps but that is about it. I have not seen much weight loss but then again I’m more concerned about my diabetes. Shame on the drug companies for dangling a med that works to lower A1C and cholesterol and choosing to utilize it for weight loss where the insurance won’t cover it. I’m not using this med for vanity it’s for my chronic disease."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "This medication has given me my life back. I have been on the diet and workout train for the last 24 years, but nothing worked to lose a significant amount of weight. I did take one medication that worked temporarily years ago but left me feeling like trash, and once I was finished, the weight came back and then some. I have lost 90 lbs on Mounjaro over the last 14 months. Yes, my eating did improve because it quieted the food noise. I no longer starve myself throughout the day and then binge. Mounjaro has truly changed my life. I was giving up hope and falling into depression because nothing worked, and I didn't want to risk my life with surgery. Thank you to the makers of this medication. You have no idea how you are changing people with weight loss struggles. It's so much bigger than stop eating and working out more. I wish people would understand, and I wish insurance would approve this for weight loss. So many people are struggling. I never got real sick, sometimes a little nausea the day after."

For Diabetes, Type 2 "I started Mounjaro to help control my blood sugar. I had tried Ozempic and Trulicity and could not tolerate the nausea, sulfur burps and stomach issues. Mounjaro has been life changing. No bad side effects. I’m not hungry, I don’t have cravings, I’m losing weight steadily, and sweet desserts taste too sweet. Many people say they’ve had bad side effects with it. I say try it as it may work for you. Just like I couldn’t use other meds that other people love. For me it has been life altering."

For Diabetes, Type 2 "I started taking Mounjaro 9/1. This resulted in the very worst month of my life. WEEK ONE - Super Nauseous, indigestion, stomach pain 3-4 days of the first week. My appetite went from a 10 to a 2. (Which was good) WEEK TWO - I had diarrhea for 3-4 days, along with sulfur belches, nausea, stomach pain...I ended up having to take sick days and going to get an IV bag to recover from the dehydration. WEEK THREE - World class nausea and vomiting. 3 days of vomiting so hard that I ruptured my esophagus. The entire month, if I was not having diarrhea I was VERY constipated. I lost 9 lbs in one month, but I don't know if it was because I could barely eat because of the sickness. PASS!!"

For Diabetes, Type 2 "I am a 6'2", 46-year-old male who started his journey at 305 lbs. My doctor prescribed me Mounjaro 10.0 in Jan. of 2023. In Dec. of 2023, I went to level 12.5. Mounjaro, along with a balanced diet and exercising 4-5 days a week, changed my life for the better. I went from a 'Living to Eat' person to an 'Eating to Live' person. Mounjaro helps me mentally and physically. After I eat, I feel fuller longer, and I don't get food cravings. It's amazing!! I went from 305 lbs to 238 lbs. That is 67 lbs in 13-14 months. I am off all insulin. I stopped snoring at night. I am participating in 5K races. Achieving goals and having fun! Team Gavin, I treat my body like a football team - Offense - gym four to five days a week, Defense - portion control, Special Teams - Mounjaro injections once a week. I don't think I could be doing this well without all three. The journey continues for me, and I hope after you read this, it begins with you. Good luck!"

For Diabetes, Type 2 "Be careful when deciding to take this medication. I advise you to speak first with your doctor and if you could find another way to lose weight you should decide to go with something else. The side effects for some people are almost unbearable. I was 100% healthy before taking this. Now my blood sugar levels are low I can not wait for this to leave my system. It’s hard to work out I feel awful. Ever since I stopped taking it since my sugar levels are low I have to eat more sugar and it’s hard to eat. I feel nauseous and it’s so hard to start the day feeling like this. Please beware I know of people that are not even eating while taking this because they lost their appetite and they have to blend their food because it won’t go down. The side effects at the beginning for many people are really awful. If you have to work and be productive don’t take this medicine you will regret it."
