For Birth Control "I have had raging PMDD for my entire life starting at 15 when I got my period. For the first time in my life, I’m happy. I can pursue a career without getting fired, raise my child without losing my temper, enjoy my marriage. If you have PMDD, please give this a shot! It’s a little wobbly the first 90 days, then no period, no PMDD, no problems. The hormone was discovered in the 70s, a crime it only went on the market in 2019."

For Birth Control "I have been on BC pills in the past, I have always felt super nauseous and literally felt pregnant. I just had a baby 4 months ago, and my OB put me on SLYND right at my 6-week postpartum checkup. I have PCOS and suspected endo as well. He said this shouldn't make me feel ill. The first month was good, except I had breakthrough bleeding. I am now ending month 3 and going on BC permanently. My sex drive, which has always been extremely high and never affected on other pills, is literally at a 0! I am constantly bleeding, periods are SUPER horrible. I am nauseous every single morning that I wake up and have headaches all day. I also feel super moody, tired, and my 'always low' blood pressure seems to be on the rise. This just was not for me."

For Birth Control "Worst birth control I’ve ever tried. I’m almost done with my 3rd month, and I’ve bled almost every single day since I started my first pack. I’ve never had problems with weight gain in the past (I have two kids and always remained at 120 after having them). I got on Slynd 9 months after having my daughter, I was already back to my pre-pregnancy weight then. NOW, I’ve gained 15 lbs. I’ve never been this heavy. None of my clothes fit. I’ve always been active and have worked out since I was 16, I’m now 26. I go to the gym 3-4 times a week and run a mile a day, and I CAN'T LOSE THE WEIGHT. I don’t eat meat, I’m pretty healthy. I’ve literally never had this issue before, and I am so upset. My mental health has been rough since starting this birth control too. I’ve been having such bad depression."

For Birth Control "I've been taking birth control pills for a few years now. I've never felt so emotionally drained in my life. From the day I started taking this, I was sad and mad every single day. I cried for no reason and had crazy thoughts running through my head-very unlike me. I'm so depressed because I can't stand going another day just crying myself to sleep. I am so miserable and can't wait for my OBGYN to call me tomorrow to get these pills changed. Not happy, I also started to break out and have rashes on the back of my neck."

For Birth Control "I've been on Slynd for about a year and a half now. I can't take a combo pill, and a regular progesterone-only pill doesn't help with PMDD. I found this pill does its job. The usual symptoms I deal with are pretty much gone (cramping from ovulation to the end of the period, tender swollen breasts, acne, anger, and depression, and so on). Slynd stopped all that, which was a huge goal. The main issue is my period is very irregular, even a year and a half later. It comes and goes as it pleases and doesn't follow the off days. Sometimes it'll last 4 days, other times, I'd bleed lightly for weeks. At this point, I haven't had a period for almost 3 months, and I'm not pregnant. Overall, I'm happy since the main issue was PMDD and obviously not becoming pregnant."

For Birth Control "I started Slynd 3 months ago. I’m a little concerned. My first month on the pill, I got my period for almost 7 days. My usual before was only 3 days. I’m on my 3rd pack and still no menstrual since I first started. For the last two months, I have gotten the menstrual symptoms but heavier than normal. Bad cramping, severe back pain, but no flow. I’m not sure if this is normal."

For Birth Control "I started this medicine to help lighten my periods. I started bleeding the day I started the pill and have been bleeding since - 2 plus months now. I've gained weight, and the mood swings/anger are off the charts. I would not recommend this to anyone. I'm done with it!"

For Birth Control "I’ve always had issues with birth control prior to Slynd. I’ve been on 2 different combination pills as well as the Kyleena IUD. I’ve had all sorts of side effects: recurrent yeast infections, dryness, and acne. I changed my gynecologist and told her my past issues, and she recommended Slynd. My skin has improved significantly, and I hardly ever had a pimple since I’ve been on Slynd. I basically don’t have any side effects. The only thing is my period had pretty much disappeared after the first 3 months."

For Birth Control "I'm a month into using Slynd, and I have had no issues. Due to constant headaches and migraines, I switched from the combo pill to Slynd with the hopes it would help with my headaches. I've had no headaches since starting (although I have still had my usual monthly intense migraine, but I didn't expect birth control to fix that). My head feels much clearer (I'm not sure how else to explain it!) now that I no longer take a combo pill. If you have headaches/migraines and are looking for a birth control with no estrogen, I would highly recommend trying Slynd. I've had no acne, no spotting, no weight gain, and a drastic difference in the amount of headaches I have. We will see how the next few months go, but so far, Slynd has drastically improved my quality of life with no side effects."

For Birth Control "I have been on this birth control for over a year and 3 months now, and I absolutely love it. I suffer from endometriosis and have always had extremely bad cramps and long periods. Ever since being put on this, my migraines, cramps, and even my periods have completely gone away. I would recommend this birth control to every young woman who suffers constantly from their period symptoms."

For Birth Control "I had no previous information regarding this Slynd birth control before I started taking it. I really wish I would have done some research before starting, or that my doctor would have given me a heads-up on what to expect. I am on my first pack of Slynd. I have had steady bleeding for two weeks, with lower back aches, cramping, and headaches. I am on this to try and help lessen my period cramps/pain due to a lot of fibroids in my uterus. As of now, I’m really struggling on if Slynd is worth it. The doctor said to give it three months and then go from there. It feels so unnatural to be having a period for this long."

For Birth Control "I’m 47, no kids, and have never been on BC. I wanted the copper IUD, but my uterus is too small, so I got the Slynd pills. I’ve had no side effects. I also suffer from anxiety/traumatic stress, and this pill has not affected any of that! My BF and I are very sexually active and probably more carefree than we should be, so it's definitely helping in preventing pregnancy. I started spotting 1 week after the 1st pack and have not stopped. I am about to start pack #3 and have also not had an actual period. The spotting is light. Pantyliners seem to work fine, but I’m also comfortable with a regular-size tampon when I go to the gym (only time I’ll use one). I have some bloating during the placebo pills, but I have no real cramps now, and they used to be extreme along with super heavy bleeding. I am going to continue with the pill in hopes that my body regulates after this 3rd pack. Overall, other than the inconvenience of spotting, I think it is worth trying. I will update once the spotting subsides."

"Do not let the reviews scare you, each person's experience will vary. Consider your risks with your doctor, but understand it can take months to tell if a medication is working or not. I have endometriosis and fibroids and cannot tolerate estrogen due to aura migraines. I tried Movisse before this, and it was a nightmare (severe bleeding and cramping). I stumbled upon this drug on my own, my doctor had not even heard of it in Canada as it is new. I have been on it for 1.5 months, and upon starting, my bleeding stopped immediately. I now just spot instead of having a period, and my pain has gone from about an 8 to a 2. My oily skin has cleared up, and it looks amazing. I will say I experienced some anxiety and depression the first month, but it gets better. Give this a shot!"

For Birth Control "Started taking this pill 4 months ago, very active person, healthy eater, went to go out in a pair of my jeans that fit a few weeks before, and I could not button them. The weight gain, partially in my lower half (first time in my life), is piling on so rapidly with no lifestyle change, I can hardly believe it. Haven’t had a period since starting it, but my goodness, I blew out my fat pants. Will be stopping immediately, suffice to say, this will be a plump girl summer."

For Birth Control "I have been taking Slynd birth control pills for 4 months total, just starting my 5th. I used to have a regular 3-day period with severe cramps. I have had nonstop spotting since beginning this birth control. My cramps are gone, but I have been spotting for almost 30 days straight. It has been a nightmare from the start."

For Birth Control "I’ve had heavy periods and terrible acne for most of my adult life. I was on Yaz for 8 years with no problem. Once I hit 31, I had terrible mood swings and went into a deep depression. I got off Yaz and felt like myself again. The acne and heavy periods came back, but I was terrified of getting back on a pill with estrogen. I tried every holistic remedy you could think of, but it only got worse over time. At 34, my doctor recommended Slynd, so I decided to give it a try. Within a few weeks, my acne completely disappeared. I had irregular bleeding for the first two months accompanied by breast tenderness, but since then, my period has completely disappeared. I’ve been on it for 7 months, and I haven’t experienced any other side effects. No weight gain. No mood swings. I will add that it took about 3-4 months for my body to fully adjust to it (I had some random spotting here and there). Highly recommend!"

For Birth Control "Before I could even get my prescription, I had to jump through a million hoops because my insurance won’t cover it. This was nothing compared to the side effects. I had migraines and GI distress within 3 days of starting Slynd and felt like I was constantly PMSing. I couldn’t sleep. My mood was terrible - I was so irritable and not sure how I didn’t go off on anyone during this time. I had absolutely no energy and felt like I was in a brain fog. The worst, though, was the depression and anxiety. I haven’t had a depressive episode like Slynd made me have in years, and the anxiety was so bad that I started to have panic attacks. I had to call out of work a few times. I stopped taking Slynd after a month and went back on my previous BC. It’s been a month, and I’m just now starting to feel normal. This med has the same active ingredient as Yaz, so if Yaz wasn’t good for you, Slynd probably won’t be either."

For Birth Control "I was prescribed Slynd for heavy periods as an alternative to the Mini Pill. I could not tolerate the side effects of the Mini Pill: intense stomach cramping (digestive) and a weird fluttery feeling like nervous butterflies, I suppose due in part to anxiety, which is also a side effect of the Mini Pill. Slynd has reduced the stomach cramping and weird fluttery feeling by about 80 percent. Sometimes I feel it, but not as intensely. I feel a lot better. I was avoiding driving, avoiding being in crowds due to stomach cramps and always looking for an exit, a bathroom, etc. Slynd works much better for me than the Mini Pill. I feel most days like I've gotten my life back."

For Birth Control "My doctor recommended Slynd due to my PCOS. I came off of my former pill and went onto Slynd and have had zero issues. I don't get a period at all, but my doctor said that's fine due to my lining being thin, so it's okay. I've had no side effects and haven't had a birth control I've felt this good on. I'm very happy with this pill and think it's worth a try!"

For Birth Control "I have endometriosis, and this pill was recommended to me because I was having a lot of breakthrough bleeding and spotting between periods, and I also have a history of cysts. I’ve been on many pills throughout the years, and this by far has been the worst experience. I would not recommend this to my worst enemy. I started bleeding immediately the first day I took it and never stopped for almost 2 months. The doctor said to give it 3 months for my body to adjust, but I couldn’t do it. I gave up about 2 months in because I was also having headaches, bloating, anxiety, trouble sleeping, and severe mood changes. I did not feel like myself and was either crying for no reason or raging in anger with both, not like me. I stopped at the end of December, and my periods have still been off. I bled from mid-January to mid-February, and now in March, I didn’t get my period at all. I suspect this is now my body re-adjusting from being off this pill, so beware if you’re going to try it."

For Birth Control "Just dropping in to be another voice that’s not scary. I just finished my first month of Slynd. It hasn’t changed my life nor ruined it. I felt crummy the first couple of days, then everything balanced out. I was terrified to switch after reading all the reviews. I had to change due to being on a combo pill and having migraine with aura. Everyone responds differently, but it’s possible for it to have little to no side effects with this drug."

For Birth Control "Been bleeding for 10 days. My face has gone to absolutely crap. My back feels broken, and the level of fatigue is as bad as my worst PMDD week, just like when I was on Yaz. Wish I could stick it out for 3 months, but absolutely cannot. Gosh, is it so heartbreaking to overcome your fear to try a new pill only to be utterly disappointed."

"I've been on Slynd 4 mg now for almost 5 full months, and I have loved the results! The first 2 months, I didn't have a period at all. When I did have one, it was very light, with minimal cramping, although, I did have that light bleeding for about 8 days. The following period was 2 days and very light, with next to no cramping. I used to have debilitating cramps that put me out of work for a couple of days and very heavy bleeding, so this has been a life changer for me. I haven't had any PMS symptoms, like food cravings, mood swings, or fatigue either. I hope this helps other women the way it's helped me!"

For Birth Control "My doctor said that Slynd would be safe for my migraines and could potentially help with my PCOS. Five days in and a bunch of dehydration symptoms hit me like a ton of bricks, and I drink a lot of water to begin with! Excessively thirsty with no relief no matter how much I drank, frequent urination, headache, fatigue, dry mouth, cramps. It was so uncomfortable that I went to the ER. After blood work, my electrolytes were okay, but the doctor did confirm that Slynd is a strong diuretic and is causing me to feel dehydrated despite being hydrated. I felt so overwhelmingly uncomfortable that I decided to stop taking it. Although five days isn't very long, I didn't have any other symptoms. I looked at reviews of Slynd before I tried it and didn't see any pertaining to the very real potential of diuretic side effects that I had, so just a fair warning, though everyone's body is different and reacts differently! Just bummed it won't work for me."

For Birth Control "I started Slynd in early to mid-June and had a pretty steady flow for three weeks. I started spotting, if not every day, then once every other day in July. The last week of July, I had a steady to heavy flow for almost a month. I stopped Slynd 4 days shy of it being a full month of bleeding. I took my last pill one week ago, and I’m still bleeding. To have bled as much as I have bled these past few months has been emotionally and physically unbearable. The way this birth control works is compulsory abstinence because it’s impossible to have a sexual life with this amount of bleeding."
