For Birth Control "I have Stage 4 endometriosis and the last pill prescribed to me - Jencycla, made my endo flares worse - I was in pain 25 days in a month! As soon as my doctor switched me to Slynd, I felt better right away. I was able to lose weight and I didn't have recurring cramps. The only downside was the on and off spotting during my first two packs and not having my period for the first month of using Slynd. I had my period starting the third pack, but I didn't have severe cramps that would last me 3 days and my period wasn't heavy. I will continue to use Slynd and I'm glad that this is helping me ease my endo pain - I know this is just a band-aid, but being pain-free for 3 months is like getting 3 years of my life back!"

For Birth Control "I just started month 3 of this pill, and I absolutely love it. I was taking norethindrone before, and I was getting mild acne (never had acne before in my life), heavy irregular periods, and slight weight gain. On Slynd, my face is back to normal with only the extremely rare single pimple, and my period is almost non-existent. It always comes on day 3 of the green placebo, lasts 3 days, and is little more than spotting with mild cramps and tiredness. I haven't gotten pregnant yet, so it seems to be working on that front as well. I started to take birth control as an effort to control my migraines. They're not gone, but I have noticed any hormonal related ones I get after my period are much less severe. I haven't noticed any weight gain or loss with these, and my sex drive seems to be about the same as it was before as well. Obviously everyone's miles will vary, but this pill has been absolute magic for me so far. I hope it continues as is."

For Birth Control "I'm currently on my third month of taking Slynd and I would NEVER recommend this drug to anyone. I have been on birth control for 15 years and I have tried at least 10 different ones in that amount of time. I have never experienced symptoms as bad as I have on this. I was put on it because my BP at the gyno was slightly high that day (not normally high) so she wouldn't give me a refill of Sprintec. The first month I didn't get a period at all, which was concerning for me since I prefer to have a period so I know I'm not pregnant. The second period was a few days late, however, I have now been heavily bleeding for 16 days and it doesn't appear as though it's going to stop anytime soon. I cramp all the time and my legs have started to cramp too (assuming that's from blood loss). I'm on the 2nd week of the third pack and I'm still bleeding from last month's period. The only reason this pill is effective at preventing pregnancy is because you can't have sex ever while you're taking it!"

"Life changer. Wow. Before I started taking Slynd just over six months ago, the two weeks leading up to my period were so intense that I made a calendar entry for that time called “PRE-P!!” as a reminder not to make any important decisions or have critical conversations until my period came due to my increasingly insane mood swings. My period itself was super heavy with debilitating cramps, so I was basically left with about a week of relief each month, which sucked. This sounds nuts, but within days of starting Slynd, I felt my anxiety settling, and it’s maintained to this day. I’m grounded, steady, and focused. It’s crazy. Also, from the very first pill, my period just… stopped. No spotting, nothing. Good god, I thought I’d have to wait until menopause for that type of relief! For me, this has been a miracle drug. 10/10. 5 stars."

For Birth Control "I'm on my 4th month of Slynd. I switched from a pill containing estrogen because I'm 41 and get migraines (infrequently). Because I have endometriosis, I do not take the placebos. The first week I had minimal spotting and cramping (and was expecting far worse). Since then, zero cramping or spotting or endo pain! My acne has neither improved nor gotten considerably worse. But I went through a time in the second month where my skin was more oily than it had ever been. Also during my second and third month, I was dealing with really bad anxiety. Hard to say whether the transition to Slynd had something to do with it or whether it was situational. I was able to lose about 6 pounds by eating more mindfully and have not had a migraine since starting it. Overall, I am extremely happy with how I have adjusted to it."

For Birth Control "I decided to get on birth control pills because my periods were so heavy I became very anemic. I can’t do IUDs as my body rejects them, so I did some research and found Slynd. I’m so thankful I did! This pill has been amazing! I don’t have any major side effects whatsoever and I haven’t had a period since the first month where I did have some breakthrough bleeding but wasn’t heavy, but nothing since then. I take my inactive pills, have had minor cramping, and that’s it, no period. This has made my life so much better, finally getting my iron back up, feeling great! So happy I found something that works well for me."

For Birth Control "I have now finished my first month on Slynd. After not being on birth control for a long time (always had severe side effects), I took my doctor's recommendation for Slynd because my cramps were very painful, I had heavy clotting, and I found out I have an 'extremely thick uterine wall.' So far I’m not happy with how I’ve been feeling since taking this pill. I am going to try it for one more month since I have the pills already. I have started breaking out, which is unusual for me. I’ve already experienced some weight gain, and my mood swings are worse than normal. I’m lethargic and I have no sex drive anymore. I constantly feel bloated and dehydrated. I also have not had a period, but have had cramps during the time of when my cycle regularly is."

For Birth Control "I have been on Slynd for four months. I am taking it for PCOS after taking the mini pill (Norethindrone) with terrible side effects and the shot. I am so grateful for Slynd. The first few months I dealt with light, sometimes medium breakthrough bleeding. Nothing severe or intolerable, which stopped in my fourth pack. Slight cramping as well in the first two months which has subsided as well. No other side effects, so far at least, so I’m glad for that. I have regulated and it has lessened the severity of my cycle as far as heaviness and pain. I am thankful I stuck with this and didn’t let the breakthrough bleeding and cramps steer me away. Slynd has been a godsend considering how severe other BC side effects have treated me. I recommend anyone suffering from PCOS to at least give this a real shot. I was so hesitant to begin another BC because of my past experiences, but I am definitely sticking with this one."

For Birth Control "Six months on Slynd and I'm so happy. I was switched from a low estrogen to this because I’m 46, and my blood pressure was up this year. I had very mild periods on my old birth control, so I was dreading a switch. I am so happy that I have had no period now (no chance of being pregnant either). I did have cramps a couple of times, but no spotting. No emotional changes, no weight changes, nothing. Very happy with this pill."

For Birth Control "I was prescribed this at the age of 32. Apparently, this is for those who are in their late 30s and 40s, also a hormone found in it that is used in HRT, all of which I only researched later. I had no idea that this pill was new. I had blown up in a matter of weeks, bloating that I'd never had before, horrific, felt pregnant 24/7, clothes didn't fit, constantly hungry and wanting to eat, always thirsty, dry, slightly bloodshot eyes, extreme mood swings, argumentative, fault-finding, angry outbursts, feeling low, sad, depressed, and awful breast pain, not even tender, SORE!!! Acne, blotchy skin, bad hair, fatigue, and severe backache. I feel like I'm constantly on the verge of a period I never get. Constant cramps. Worst pill ever. I'd rather have a migraine. Zero libido. I would not recommend this. Hormones are completely out of whack. Very expensive for terrible side effects."

For Birth Control "I've been on this for a little over a year, and my period has pretty much disappeared. It only comes once every six months (as of right now), and it only lasts three days. My period is super light, and my only effects with my period are tiredness and a little bit of cramping, but it's so little, it's hardly even noticeable. My periods used to be miserable, and so I'm glad I chose this. I don't have any side effects at all aside from my nearly gone period. I love it."

For Birth Control "I wanted to see how everyone else that has still been on Slynd has fared? I just started my first month on this and started bleeding more than spotting for sure the second week into this pack. It hasn’t really let up! I called the doctor's office and they just said breakthrough bleeding and spotting can be normal and just try and continue. It’s really discouraging as I don’t want to experience this bleeding for the next two months or so to adjust to it. Has anyone else had their bleeding in between improve at all? I’m getting frustrated! I also have some light cramps, otherwise, nothing else, but the bleeding is very frustrating. Hoping it’s normal!"

For Birth Control "I started this at 40 years old to help with PMDD, painful periods, and heavy bleeding. The first 4 months were rough because of the bleeding, but then it stopped around month 5, and I'm so glad I stuck it out. I’m on month 9, and my moods are so much better, more consistent, and I don’t have those horrible bad days anymore. I chose this over surgery and antidepressants for PMDD, and I'm so glad I did. My periods are very short and much lighter, with some cramping randomly, but not that bad. I was also able to stop taking spironolactone for my acne because this cleared my skin up. I thought I gained weight, but I’m really the same size almost a year later, so I think it was just my body adjusting. My advice is try it, but give it at least 4-5 months."

For Birth Control "I've been on Slynd for about a year and a half now. I can't take a combo pill, and a regular progesterone-only pill doesn't help with PMDD. I found this pill does its job. The usual symptoms I deal with are pretty much gone (cramping from ovulation to the end of the period, tender swollen breasts, acne, anger, and depression, and so on). Slynd stopped all that, which was a huge goal. The main issue is my period is very irregular, even a year and a half later. It comes and goes as it pleases and doesn't follow the off days. Sometimes it'll last 4 days, other times, I'd bleed lightly for weeks. At this point, I haven't had a period for almost 3 months, and I'm not pregnant. Overall, I'm happy since the main issue was PMDD and obviously not becoming pregnant."

For Birth Control "I started Slynd 3 months ago. I’m a little concerned. My first month on the pill, I got my period for almost 7 days. My usual before was only 3 days. I’m on my 3rd pack and still no menstrual since I first started. For the last two months, I have gotten the menstrual symptoms but heavier than normal. Bad cramping, severe back pain, but no flow. I’m not sure if this is normal."

For Birth Control "I have been on this birth control for over a year and 3 months now, and I absolutely love it. I suffer from endometriosis and have always had extremely bad cramps and long periods. Ever since being put on this, my migraines, cramps, and even my periods have completely gone away. I would recommend this birth control to every young woman who suffers constantly from their period symptoms."

For Birth Control "I had no previous information regarding this Slynd birth control before I started taking it. I really wish I would have done some research before starting, or that my doctor would have given me a heads-up on what to expect. I am on my first pack of Slynd. I have had steady bleeding for two weeks, with lower back aches, cramping, and headaches. I am on this to try and help lessen my period cramps/pain due to a lot of fibroids in my uterus. As of now, I’m really struggling on if Slynd is worth it. The doctor said to give it three months and then go from there. It feels so unnatural to be having a period for this long."

"I've been on Slynd 4 mg now for almost 5 full months, and I have loved the results! The first 2 months, I didn't have a period at all. When I did have one, it was very light, with minimal cramping, although, I did have that light bleeding for about 8 days. The following period was 2 days and very light, with next to no cramping. I used to have debilitating cramps that put me out of work for a couple of days and very heavy bleeding, so this has been a life changer for me. I haven't had any PMS symptoms, like food cravings, mood swings, or fatigue either. I hope this helps other women the way it's helped me!"

For Birth Control "My doctor said that Slynd would be safe for my migraines and could potentially help with my PCOS. Five days in and a bunch of dehydration symptoms hit me like a ton of bricks, and I drink a lot of water to begin with! Excessively thirsty with no relief no matter how much I drank, frequent urination, headache, fatigue, dry mouth, cramps. It was so uncomfortable that I went to the ER. After blood work, my electrolytes were okay, but the doctor did confirm that Slynd is a strong diuretic and is causing me to feel dehydrated despite being hydrated. I felt so overwhelmingly uncomfortable that I decided to stop taking it. Although five days isn't very long, I didn't have any other symptoms. I looked at reviews of Slynd before I tried it and didn't see any pertaining to the very real potential of diuretic side effects that I had, so just a fair warning, though everyone's body is different and reacts differently! Just bummed it won't work for me."

For Birth Control "I have been on Slynd for 7 months now. Previously, I have had Nexplanon for 3 years. I liked it, but I did not get a new one inserted because I was tired of the irregular bleeding. I tried the NuvaRing but only kept it in for a week because I was having horrible mood swings and suicidal ideation. I really wanted a regular period, which is why I chose this pill. While I like Slynd, I have not had a single period since I started using it, which kind of freaks me out sometimes, so I have a 100-pack of pregnancy tests on hand just in case-thankfully, none have ever been positive. I also sometimes miss a pill, and that has never been a problem. I have occasional light cramping. I haven’t really noticed a difference in my mood, skin, or libido either."

For Birth Control "I’ve never left a review on anything before, but this birth control is horrible. I’m 4 months PP, and I’ve been on this for 3 months. There’s only 1 week out of every month that I’m not bleeding. Cramps are still there. My bloating is horrible. I’m more depressed than ever, and it’s a weird kind of depression, like I just feel blank and feel like I can’t speak comfortably. I feel all zoned out and thoughtless. I’ve struggled with depression before, but never like this. Now that I’m reading all these reviews, I’m realizing it’s this birth control that’s causing me to feel this way. I’m nauseous pretty much every day. I’ve been lashing out over everything. Like really lashing out with some serious anger. I’m irritable, even toward people who are simply just talking around me. Yeah, it’s not a good birth control. At all. I’m stopping it tomorrow."

For Birth Control "I was switched to Slynd after taking Sprintec for 3 years due to high blood pressure. I unfortunately had a bad experience taking Slynd. It gave me the worst cystic acne (my skin was clear before). I had a lot of spotting during the first pack and horrible cramps. My period was very light, but the cramps were so bad during it I contemplated going to the hospital. The second pack, I also experienced horrible cramping that would wake me up at night, but my period never came and still has not. I’ve gained 20 pounds since starting Slynd without changing any of my normal daily habits. On top of all this, my insurance refuses to cover it, and it is very expensive ($250 a pack)."

For Birth Control "I have tried almost every pill out there and have had side effects that I didn’t want to live with. My last hope was Slynd. While I had a lot of breakthrough bleeding in the beginning because I was switching from a combination pill, everything worked itself out by the third month. It’s important to give your body time to adjust! My mood is so much better on Slynd with a lot less anxiety and depression. I feel more energized and lost 8 pounds! I have some cramps but other than that I can’t complain. I also noticed less PMS symptoms. It’s a good option for those that don’t do well on the combined pill. I love that it is more forgiving than other POPs and I can be a little late and not have to panic. Also, my insurance didn’t cover it so I am using a coupon and am able to get three packs for $70."
