"I had migraines for over 20 years, it went dormant for 20 years. It wasn’t until the last 2 years that my head pain has been 10 times worse, always on the left side, and constant. I’ve tried over 10 medications, 2 nerve blocks, 2 Botox treatments, and Emgality for 3 months. I’ve had no relief, I finally got approved to try Ubrelvy 100 mg. I’ve experienced the worst side effects, I was awakened at 2 a.m. in the morning with the headache worse. It was sharp pain, throbbing, pin needles on both sides of my head, and uncontrollable leg twitching."

For Migraine "Updating after almost a year on Ubrelvy. Had incredible results initially. Chronic migraines since age 10, and I have tried everything. Initially, this either knocked the migraine out entirely or lowered it to a level which allowed me to continue with my day. I've never had any side effects at all. Unfortunately, as time went on, it seemed to become less and less effective until now, almost a year later, when it has almost no effect at all. Low rating because it simply stopped working over time."

For Migraine "This is my 3rd time taking it. The first time I took it, then after 2 hours, stomach ache and diarrhea, I thought maybe I ate something. The second time I took it, then 2-3 hours later, stomach cramps and diarrhea again, thinking, hmm, what's going on with me? Maybe I need to see GI. And today I took it this morning because of a very bad migraine attack, then after 1 hour, stomach cramps and diarrhea again. Is it because of this medication? I'm not going to take it anymore."

For Migraine "I currently take monthly injections of Emgality and have Botox every 3 months. If I have a migraine, I have been taking rizatriptan for the past 6 years. My neurologist gave me a sample of Ubrelvy. My migraine went away in about 30 minutes. However, I was extremely nauseous, dizzy, and sleepy. I became very lethargic for about 2 days. I could not get out of bed. Although it did work for my migraine, the side effects were not worth it."

For Migraine "I have had chronic migraines for 38 years. Imitrex worked for me most of the time, with few side effects, and so I used it for 20 years, until one night it caused me to have a cardiac vasospasm and suffer a heart attack. Since then, I feared I was doomed to suffer again without any help, but fortunately, Ubrelvy became available! I have taken 100 mg tablets 4-6 times per month with no side effects. It takes 2-4 hours to work, but is a lot better than my previous 72-hour migraines. It prevents my nausea entirely, and the headache does not return 90% of the time. So, please don't read the negative reviews and think that this medication is a bad one for everyone."

For Migraine "I was given samples of Ubrelvy from my primary care doctor when they ran out of samples of Nurtec. I am on Aimovig but have a few breakthrough migraines, so I only need a few each month. The first time I took the Ubrelvy, it worked well. I took 100 mg, and it greatly reduced all symptoms. I wouldn't say they were gone, but definitely improved. The problems came the second time I took Ubrelvy. Again, I took 100 mg. This time it cut down migraine symptoms, but a few hours later, I felt extremely dizzy, like everything was spinning, and it felt like I was walking on a trampoline. I thought I was having a stroke! My husband and I looked up other people's experiences with Ubrelvy, and that put my mind at ease, knowing it wasn't a stroke. The dizziness lasted over 72 hours! I am definitely never taking Ubrelvy again!"

For Migraine "This stuff works! Most of the time, I can take 100 mg of Ubrelvy at the start of a migraine, and in a little bit, I'll forget that I'd even had one! Other medications might dim the pain but leave me with the other symptoms, like fog, dizziness, etc. Ubrelvy makes it all just go away!"

For Migraine "Before bed, I felt like a migraine was coming on, so I took Tylenol to possibly stop it from pressing. I woke up in the middle of the night with a full-fledged migraine and took one 100 mg pill of Ubrelvy. I felt slight relief, but the migraine was still horrible, so I took the second dose. Within the hour, I was able to fall back to sleep and wake up pain-free. I did not experience any undesirable side effects."

For Migraine "This medication has been better for me than triptans but still not 100%. The side effects from all four of the triptans I've tried were still too much for me to return to normal functioning. I don't seem to get any direct side effects from Ubrelvy. I get most of the classic migraine side effects, such as nausea, vomiting, photophobia, sensitivity to sound, visual changes (tunnel vision in my case), and insomnia. Ubrelvy does very well at reducing symptoms overall, along with a reduction in head pain. However, I can get stuck in cycles where I take it, symptoms and pain subside, then I wake up the next morning and I'm back to where I started from. This can go on until I run out of medication and give in to going to the ER. So I definitely prefer Ubrelvy to triptans, but it's not quite perfect for me."

For Migraine "First off, triptans and most other drugs have not worked for me. I have been taking Emgality, and that has been a minimal improvement. I’m also getting Botox every 12 weeks. Botox has helped tremendously, but I still get at least 12 migraines a month with aura, nausea, and visual disturbances. I took this drug after a migraine started, and I had nausea. Usually, this would mean a day of pain... at least. This medicine was like a miracle. Everything else leaves a residual headache that makes the migraine come back. I took this a week ago and have not had a migraine since. This is a game changer for me. It makes me really tired, but it is so worth it to me. I still can’t believe it."

For Migraine "I don't know what to make of this migraine pill. I took it 3 times and thought I found a miracle drug. No side effects like I have with Imitrex. The next time I took Ubrelvy, it did NOT work. I was sick all day with intense migraine pain and went to bed. What a waste of life. The pharmacist said not to mix it with Imitrex, so I had to live with pain and nausea all day and night. The next time I took it, it worked! I think it's a 50/50 split. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. It is very expensive. 8 pills for $1,200.00, but I had a coupon. Back to Imitrex. At least I can depend on it getting rid of the pain!"

For Migraine "I’ve had migraines for about 30 years, treated for roughly the last 10 years with the preventative topiramate and Imitrex. I would get migraines often spread out throughout the month before treatment. Finally, with treatment, I would have breakthrough migraines, take the Imitrex, and it worked like a charm. 30 minutes later, the migraine was gone. Now, for a year, I have been having months of migraines, some months 14 days, some 25 days, some 7 days, but they are back to back, and the Imitrex just stopped being effective. I started to see a neurologist who prescribed Ubrelvy. I took it, and the med took 4 hours before it gave me the slightest relief, and 5 hours later the migraine was gone. That is unacceptable. I was not functioning as usual."

For Migraine "I love this migraine medication. Unlike others in this review section, I have not tried other migraine medications. This was the first migraine medication I have ever tried, and it almost makes me want to cry from the relief I feel from my migraines. I normally take one 50 mg tablet, and it does the trick. My migraines normally span 1-3 days in one attack, sometimes I have to take two. Sometimes I worry about having “withdrawal” migraines, but I don’t think I’ve had that yet with Ubrelvy. Please, PLEASE be aware that if you are in the United States, your insurance will give you one heck of a time trying to cover this medication. This medication, for me, is $1,016 USD for 10, 50 mg tablets WITHOUT insurance. However, with the “coupon” given to me by my doctor, it is $10 USD WITH insurance. I am able to take this medication on an empty stomach or with a full stomach, and the side effects are minimal to none."

For Migraine "I have suffered with clustered migraines for over 25 years. I tried so many medications with no relief. I saw a few neurologists, even went to the Mayo Clinic to seek medical treatment. I tried the Emgality injection for a year with only 1 week of pain relief. When my PCP recommended this to me, it was as if he gave me my life back! My eyes get watery just thinking about it. It was prescribed a month ago, and I've only taken 5 in a month. I LOVE IT! Thank you!"

For Migraine "My primary MD gave me some samples of Ubrelvy. I was reluctant to try it, but I needed relief from my migraine that I had for 2 days. After taking it, I felt my migraine headache subsiding significantly within 1/2 hour. I didn't have any terrible side effects from it either! It's definitely a great medication!"

For Migraine "Sadly, this medication does not relieve my migraines. I have tried several times, but I always end up needing a triptan anyway. On the plus side, it didn't have any side effects for me (+1 star for that)."

For Migraine "Awful. I've tried the 50 mg, which didn't work, so we opted to try the 100 mg. It just kept getting worse!! I can't take triptans or NSAIDs, so I hung my hopes on this one. It turned a regular migraine into an absolute nightmare migraine (though this is more likely the fact that it never worked at all). What I ended up with was mega nausea and the inability to sleep, even after I finally took Phenergan to at least try to sleep it off."

For Migraine "I have used Ubrelvy 50 mg and 100 mg approximately 25 times each over the course of 11 months. It occasionally seems to do some good, but never eliminates the pain and usually does little or nothing for me. I have tried repeating the dose after two hours, as the instructions permit, and am skeptical whether it has helped-but have not tried systematically enough to have a solid opinion. I am not aware of any side effects. My headaches seem to be from tension rather than vascular, so the drug may be better for someone else's kind of migraine."

For Migraine "Went from 72 hours of excruciating pain on and off with too many triptans and rebounds to one Ubrelvy putting me to sleep for 4-6 hours and waking up pain-free. Might not be good for active people, but it is a lifesaver for me. Please make these meds affordable."

For Migraine "I used to be on triptans that worked great for me, first sumatriptan, then rizatriptan, and out of nowhere, both stopped working for me, so I switched to Ubrelvy. I definitely think there is an adjustment period with this medication, I did not like it at first, but now I don’t have any of the side effects I first had when I started to take it… sleepiness, brain fog, weird chest pain. It does make my migraines worse before it makes them better, but once the headache is gone, it’s gone. I never have to take more than 1, and it typically relieves the migraine in 2 hours. For anyone who liked triptans and they stopped working for them, I definitely recommend."

For Migraine "Had one dose, and it worked a little. Then the next dose the next day didn’t work at all. Then I had the worst constipation of my life. Nothing worked to relieve it. I could feel the stools like rocks in my bowels for days, moving very slowly. Never using any kind of drug like this again. And my doctor said, “Here, take this sample. It has few side effects.”"

For Migraine "Just took my third dose of this in less than a week. Saw other migraine sufferers buying this, so I asked my doctor for a prescription. Currently, I had been on Relpax for years. Relpax works wonders but leaves me so tired and thirsty. This stuff does nothing. Nada. Zilch. No pain relief. I might as well be eating candy for my pain. It's that bad. Don't buy the hype, and don't get it if your migraines are on the bad side. You will be suffering waiting for relief that never comes. Back to Relpax and naps. Insurance didn't cover, but with a coupon, it was twenty dollars."

For Migraine "I was given samples of Ubrelvy from my primary physician for my migraines. I took one 50 mg pill, and an hour later my entire left arm went numb. 30 min after that, I had double vision. I was very dizzy, EXTREMELY nauseated. Not feeling myself at all felt very, very weird. This was yesterday, today I feel horrible. Extremely nauseated, vision still blurry, very weak, very shaky. I will NEVER take this drug again and would not suggest it to anyone. I threw them in the garbage."

For Migraine "Wow - this med has been great. I’m the classic - get a migraine and think it will go away - girlie, and since it never goes away on its own - Ubrelvy has been a lifesaver. It ends the migraine and nausea quickly with one dose of 100 mg, and I have no side effects."

For Migraine "I've never reviewed any medication in my life, and I don't take anything besides Ubrelvy. I have suffered from migraines for nearly a decade, but I felt compelled to review Ubrelvy because it simply changed my life. I considered myself disabled and was always scared of having a migraine attack, especially when around my young son. Ubrelvy does take about 2 hours to start working, but once it does, it lasts the entire day, and you forget you even had a migraine. It is AMAZING! You do feel tired and sleepy, but I can deal with that as long as the migraine and nausea go away."
