Fluticasone nasal for Rhinitis "Works for me! I spent a full year with horrible headaches, ear pain, fullness, ringing. I told the doctor my face hurt, my head hurt, my NOSE hurt! I finally ended up with a sinus infection, antibiotics, and it all went away for a while, but when it came back, I went back to the doctor and told her my infection was back... she said no, I think you have allergies. Claritin, Flonase, give it a month and see if you feel better... and I did! I added saline nasal spray and a humidifier to keep nasal tissue moist, and I'm down to 2-3 headaches a week at high pollen season, ears mostly behave themselves. Inside my nose will get sore and dry if I forget the saline, but otherwise no side effects. Thanks Flonase!"

Fluticasone nasal for Rhinitis "I was prescribed Flonase for fluid in my ears with no infection. After 2 months of being treated for an ear infection three times and still having intermittent pain in one ear, I have been diagnosed with fluid in my ears with no infection. I have been prescribed Flonase for 7 days, 2 sprays in each nostril twice a day, along with a steroid ear drop. After two days, I blew my nose and had a huge amount of mucus, completely clearing my sinuses. My ear pain resolved after 5 days. Side effects have been mild, with a sore throat on the first day only, an itchy nose causing me to sneeze, and a slight case of heartburn and diarrhea. With glaucoma in my family, I was concerned but was told 1 week of use should have no effect. People generally only post a review after a bad experience... I'm posting my experience to ease some fears. It cleared the fluid in my ears, and my pain was gone. I was worried at first, but glad I tried it."

Fluticasone nasal for Nasal Polyps "I have been on Xhance for approximately 2 weeks. I have nasal polyps and allergic fungal sinusitis. I have had 3 sinus surgeries. Frequent sinus infections. Always congested. I believed I would live with this condition forever. My ENT doctor at MUSC suggested I take this Xhance nasal spray. I was reluctant, for I had taken Flonase in the past, and it had been unsuccessful. I am in disbelief how well this nasal spray has helped me. Although it has only been 2 weeks, I have seen a 98% improvement. No more sinus congestion or pressure. No more thick, green mucus coming from my sinuses. The spray doesn't sting or smell. I don't have a sore throat due to the medicine draining in my throat. I am able to sleep on both sides without issues. Life is so much better with Xhance. If you have issues, have your physician prescribe this nasal spray. I also take Zyrtec and Singulair daily. I believe I would need this for the rest of my life. But at least it works!!!!"

Fluticasone nasal for Allergic Rhinitis "(False advertising) They sell it in the hay fever section at the chemist for around $30 a bottle in New Zealand (NZ). I thought I'd try something new. It has been a nightmare, taken as directed, ended up with a stuffy nose for a whole week, itchy eyes, then when it got bad, I also had a sore throat, coughing, pretty much feels like a flu, all congested up in the chest, feeling tired and hoping to wake up and it gone, it's not normal. Wasted my money and time being sick and all at the end of the week."

Fluticasone nasal for Allergic Rhinitis "Don't take this drug. I had horrible anxiety, paranoia-like thoughts, heart palpitations, insomnia, my body was shaking and nightmares, as well as being tired. Also, I had nausea, dry mouth, and sore throat. It did help with a stuffy nose. I took Flonase on and off for several months. It took me a while to figure out why I was feeling so horrible and why I could not sleep. It might take weeks to feel completely better. When I stopped taking it the first time, it took about 3 weeks. Then I took it again and then I realized Flonase was causing my symptoms. The anxiety is not listed as a side effect, but in my case, it was Flonase that caused it."

Fluticasone nasal for Allergic Rhinitis "Every time I use Flonase, it enhances my symptoms to a greater and almost debilitating level. My eyes become red, inflamed, and watery. My nose runs more. My throat becomes red and sore. I am not sure if I am allergic to an ingredient in the spray or not, but it does not provide any relief. Only makes the ones I have multiply."

Fluticasone nasal for Allergic Rhinitis "Flonase seems to dry out my nose but causes throat and voice irritation. Dr. advised to just give one shot in each nostril once a day but aim the spray to the outside wall of the nose. After a couple of days, it seems to be helping but still have some throat itch. I wonder how many days it will take for the vocal cords to settle down?"

Fluticasone nasal for Rhinitis "Flonase made me feel so much worse. Headaches and sore throat were the worst side effects of this drug. My nose stuffiness was not relieved. If anything, it made it worse. Terrible headaches. Ughh -- been on it a week taken as directed, and it makes me feel terrible. I feel better without it."

For Allergic Rhinitis "After being diagnosed with environmental allergies, my doctor recommended this OTC med to ease congestion, and I have been using it off and on (mostly off) for 3-4 years. Helps you breathe, but at a high cost for me. Two months ago in the fall, I began using it every night, and within a couple of weeks, started experiencing a cough, dry mouth and throat, and a swollen tongue, felt like my throat was closing up, trouble swallowing. This is when my doctor recommended I see a gastroenterologist. I have also had headaches and upper back pain that was excruciating. I am appalled that this med is OTC. It's a steroid, and the doctor did not warn me at all! I did finally go see a gastroenterologist because of all this, and they said it might be GERD, but I highly doubt that now. I stopped this med and feel much better already. Why no doctor has linked my use of Flonase and my symptoms is unbelievable. Use at your own risk! I can just use saline and deal with some congestion."

For Allergic Rhinitis "Westward brand fluticasone nasal spray is very watery, and it made me very, very ill. It made my nose and eyes burn. It gave me a horrible migraine. It made me drool and made me throw up, and it made my throat feel like I had swallowed glass. Does anyone know where the HiTech brand or the Apotex brand is? Be careful using Westward brand - it's bad."

Fluticasone nasal for Allergic Rhinitis "Flonase sucks. The first two days I used it, I thought it was the greatest thing ever invented because my horrible allergies finally seemed to clear up. I forgot to take it one day and woke up in the middle of the night with a stopped-up nose, so I took Flonase again as soon as I woke up. It was very ineffective that time. I got horrible headaches, insanely itchy eyes, a sore throat, and my mouth and lips were constantly dry. It has been a week since I've vowed to never use Flonase again, and I still have the worst smell in my nose and mouth from that stupid allergy 'reliever.' If you're wondering if you should hop in your car, make the trip out, and purchase Flonase, I will let you know right now that that is the biggest mistake."

For Rhinitis "I was out on fluticasone for a severe cold with an ear infection and thick head congestion that was quite persistent. The doctor felt giving it a go might get the nasal passages open a bit to help with sinus pressure and fluid behind my eardrum. After 10 days on it, my symptoms worsened: severe sore throat, white patches on my throat, bleeding nose, and tracheal spasms that put me into coughing fits so bad, I'd throw up and feel as though I would pass out from lack of air. I chose to stop it 3 days ago. After 2 days, my throat pain improved, and I felt more myself. Day 3, the tracheal spasms, so far, seem to have ended. While the medicine helped with congestion overall, the side effects were too much for me, and I couldn't continue."
