Flonase (fluticasone) for Allergic Rhinitis "I am horrified after seeing these negative reviews and mad at myself for trusting many doctors for many years. They kept me on Flonase for 15 years. I was on it constantly, as well as Allegra. I can’t count the number of times I asked, “Are you sure a steroid nasal spray is okay to use every day and won’t have side effects?” The resounding answer was always no, perfectly safe. I kept taking it all those years because I thought rhinitis was the source of my headaches. Flash forward, I got very sudden vision problems. I had always had 20/20 vision. The optometrist said it was age (I don’t think 45 is that old). Then came years of increasingly debilitating headaches that no medication (not even narcotics) would touch. I never correlated this to Flonase. Three weeks ago, a 10/10 headache woke me up, I vomited, and almost went to the ER (again) because of dizziness. I made an appointment to get an MRI, then found this site! I am FURIOUS. A CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT IS NEEDED!"

Flonase (fluticasone) for Allergic Rhinitis "STAY AWAY FROM THIS. I started taking it 2 years ago. The doctor recommended this for allergies and sinus problems. I can't believe it took me this long to realize all the problems I've been having were because of this stuff. I started with heart palpitations, pressure in my neck, high blood pressure, and really bad vertigo. I ended up in the ER twice, and I started to notice every time I took it, I was feeling anxiety and I had panic attacks. I never suffered from any of these problems. They recommended it again after my last vertigo attack, and I was feeling worse every time I took it. I started reading the reviews on another page. I am so glad I found other people with similar symptoms. Horrible. DO NOT TAKE THIS. It's in the trash now."

Flonase (fluticasone) for Allergic Rhinitis "Started taking Flonase and Claritin every day for sinus congestion and fluid in my ears. After using it for 2-3 weeks, my sinuses were clear and the fluid in my ears changed to confusion, brain fog, and a little dizziness. As a result, full-blown anxiety. Never experienced any anxiety in my life. Reading similar posts on here. My question is how long after quitting Flonase and Claritin will I feel better? Day 8 right now and making very little progress. Any comments?"

Flonase (fluticasone) for Allergic Rhinitis "I took Flonase for a few days in a row, and it has now been 3 months since I’ve been off of it, and I am still struggling. It has turned my life upside down. I’ve had anxiety, depression, weird debilitating headaches, strange skin sensations, neurological problems such as tremors, vibrations, severe burning skin all over, hot flashes, cold chills, weakness, dizziness, nausea, numbness, tingling, blurred vision, and uncoordinated movements. This all started when I took Flonase several days in a row. In the past, I had taken it about once a month, so I didn’t notice the side effects as badly. The anxiety and depression have eased up a lot, and the headaches are a little less frequent. The burning feeling is still terrible. I still get very weak, and the skin sensations are still there. It feels like I’m swollen all over, even though there’s no visible swelling. Warn everyone you know about this."

Flonase (fluticasone) for Rhinitis "Took this for two days for dizziness. The first day it worked, but the second day it didn’t do anything. My anxiety was through the roof, I had heart palpitations, and my speech was off, along with using my hands to talk, which is not normal for me. It felt like I was on drugs, which I found embarrassing."

Flonase (fluticasone) for Rhinitis "I recently had a triple bypass procedure. I have always had seasonal allergies and sinus issues but the cardiologists and my primary physician recommended I use Flonase rather than regular antihistamines and decongestants. I didn’t realize it, but after taking it for a while, along with other meds since my heart surgery, I developed severe dizziness every morning. This lasted until late afternoon. I blamed it on all the meds I was taking but after they took me off all of the “heart” drugs, I finally realized it was the Flonase causing my problem! In the trash!"

For Rhinitis "I gave it a 5 out of 10 based just on my experience. For two months, it worked beautifully! I felt so much better. Then I ended up with severe dizziness, increased thirst and urination, diarrhea, weakness, aches, and pains. Also, muscle spasms around the eyes, and I believe higher blood pressure, though I can't corroborate exactly. All symptoms have gone away since quitting. The one that's lingered the longest has been the increased thirst and urination. Apparently, this medication can raise blood glucose levels in blood and urine, triggering diabetes. Fortunately, it's been a little over a week since I stopped medication, and those symptoms are getting better now too. (One day I counted-- I had to go to the bathroom 13 times in a 12-hour period)"

Xhance (fluticasone) for Nasal Polyps "Obscenely expensive drug with potentially terrible persistent side effects; was prescribed this after polyps returned again after surgery and budesonide regimen. It seemed to work at first; was able to breathe again after a few weeks. A little over a month later, however, I woke up with bad muscle soreness and fatigue, even ran a light fever. Eight months after stopping the drug, I'm still experiencing DAILY dizziness, insomnia, muscle loss/weakness, fatigue, and hand tremors. I can no longer live my life the way I used to. This stuff royally messed me up, and I've had to spend thousands of dollars on tests to try and figure out what kind of damage it did to my body (I still don't know)."

Flonase (fluticasone) "Yes, I use Flonase for only three days due to a cold I have and allergies. The worst ever caused my nose to burn my nose and lips. It left me a heavy scab that I can't get rid of. It makes you dizzy. It is nasty. I recommend do not use. Instead, go buy generic Claritin to be on the safe side. Don't believe everything doctors say or want to sell you."

"I have had a reaction to this medicine. It caused severe vertigo/migraine, which required an emergency room visit. The vertigo continued for several months. When I stopped the spray, it slowly dissipated. When I started up the spray, the vertigo returned."

Flonase Sensimist (fluticasone) for Allergic Rhinitis "I have been using Flonase off and on for years. The reason I kept going off is because something just didn't seem right. It works, but the side effects are horrible for me. I have been having horrible pain in my back and legs. I decided to try an experiment. I went off the Flonase for a week, and the pain had subsided. However, due to having vertigo and very severe allergies, my doctor wanted me on it, so I went back on, and sure enough, the excruciating pain in my back and legs came back. As of tonight, I am going off of it again to see if the pain stops. If it does, I will be talking to my doctor about doing something else because it can't be a coincidence for me that this is happening. Everyone's body is different, so Flonase may not be good for me as I am super sensitive to any type of medicine."

Flonase Sensimist (fluticasone) for Allergic Rhinitis "Took Flonase and Xyzal for allergies for three months or so. Started to feel dizzy and jittery on them, so I went off of them. Now I'm convinced I'm dying. I'm in good shape, exercise 6 days a week, 19% +/- body fat. It's been 9 days since I stopped. Dizziness, weird feelings in my chest, and unspeakable panic are my symptoms. I've gone to urgent care, BP was 130/80 in a full panic, EKG was normal. Dr. said I should 'talk to somebody.' That was two days ago. My wife found a GABA supplement that's supposed to help, and it seemed like it was until today. I stopped taking it because I seemed to be feeling better. Big mistake. Anyway, I just took it about an hour ago and seem to be improving again. I've also continued exercising through it, because although it's scary and I'm dizzy, I'm hoping it'll help clear everything out faster? That's probably not even a thing. Anyway, if I survive this, I'll gladly have allergies instead."

For Nasal Polyps "Decided to try Flonase after my left nostril got completely blocked by an inflamed polyp that was growing right behind the narrow opening of my left nostril (I’ve had a deviated septum since 14 or 15 years old). This blockage led to the worst sinus infection I ever had, yellow mucus that can’t drain, constant headaches, complete loss of smell, and hardly any taste left. This has been going on for 3 months now, but last weekend it became impossible, so I decided to try Flonase, as I knew that nasal steroids were the first thing doctors prescribed. It’s day 3 today, and the polyp shrunk in size already, allowing me to irrigate the left nostril. I might be experiencing side effects like dizziness and back pain/headache, but nothing can compare to the completely blocked sinuses full of disgusting yellow mucus. I hope it will get better soon since now I can flush it 2-3 times a day. Flonase definitely helped with polyps. A lot."

For Rhinitis "I do not like this fluticasone nasal spray at all. The first time I used this at 5 PM, I began to feel dizzy and nauseous, this was gone the next morning. Day 2, I used it at 5 PM. Approximately 30 minutes after my dose, I started feeling lightheaded and a strange rushing feeling inside my body. I also had nerve twitches on my left cheek. Today, day 3, the rushing feeling was subsiding until about 30 minutes after I used it again at 5 PM. It's awful! I'm never using this again, especially seeing my nasal congestion has not improved at all."

For Allergic Rhinitis "I am from the Philippines. Based on my experience, my doctor gave me fluticasone (Avamys), and after 3 days of use, it was effective, and I don't really mind the side effects because I know that if there are side effects, it means it's working. Then, after 5 days of use, I got asthma and post-nasal drip. I can't breathe during sleep. My gosh, it was really scary. I was really dizzy when I walked and had coughing and back pain. I realize that all the side effects are so, so real, so after all that, I stopped fluticasone."
