Fluticasone nasal for Nasal Polyps "So far, this medication is working pretty well. I had sinus surgery in December 2017 to correct a deviated septum, nasal polyps, and congestion. I've been taking Xhance for about a month now, and I've had no breathing issues except minor congestion, which is a side effect of the medicine. I don't have the seasonal allergies I normally would have this time of year. The part that you blow into became blocked (I couldn't blow into it) after a few days of use, so I just use it like you would Flonase instead. I've gotten a nosebleed, which is also a side effect."

Fluticasone nasal for Rhinitis "I used Flonase for several months. It seemed to be working well. Then I started to get nosebleeds. Then I was told by medical personnel that the Flonase can thin the mucous membranes inside the nose. So, I'll never use this again."

For Allergic Rhinitis "Do not use this awful stuff that causes headaches, eye pain, back pain, anxiety, racing heart, nosebleeds, foggy brain, and feeling generally unwell. I've tried to stop taking these 4 times over a period of 2 years, and each time felt better, but congestion came back. So I am now using a seawater spray, all natural, and feeling so much better."

Fluticasone nasal "I was using Flonase for post-nasal drip and began having bad nosebleeds. Discovered that because it is a steroid, I should not be using it with my cancer drug. No interaction was listed on this website, but my oncologist said there was one with this because it is a (cortico)steroid."

Fluticasone nasal for Allergic Rhinitis "Used regular Flonase on and off for about a year. Caused bad side effects. Most notably, cold sores. Huge, oozy lip cold sores. As soon as one cleared up, I'd get another. Weight gain all around my face and my stomach area. Sleeplessness. Also felt terrible dryness and rawness in my throat. Bloody nose all the time. The bad, running faucet kind that happens in the middle of a nice dinner out or while hiking. Switched to Sensimist. Did great for about three days, then the same exact side effects. Dry throat, sores in mouth, bloody nose. Weight gain... ten lbs immediately. It works, but the side effects are awful. Won't use again. I gave it away to a family member who seems to do well on it. I'll just use the neti pot and take Benadryl when needed. Sad. I wish they'd bring back Drixoral!"

For Rhinitis "In the past three months, I have been suffering from some major congestion during the nighttime, so much that I couldn't sleep well and had started snoring. The doctor prescribed the generic fluticasone and Allegra-D. I've had extremely good results from this, allowing me to breathe fully during the night. I've been taking the medications for about 3.5 weeks. However, I started to have some minor nosebleeds in the last week, and today I have had four nosebleeds. I'm planning on stopping the fluticasone."

For Rhinitis "For 3 years, I've had a congested nose. I know I'm allergic to pollen, hay fever is pretty bad in the spring and summer, but it settles down in the winter. Due to work, I had to move to southern Arizona, which made my allergies worse. My nose became so congested I would mouth breathe at night and wake up with a dry, raw throat and tongue. Saline sprays blocked me up even more, antihistamines did nothing. I got rebound congestion from medicated nasal sprays. My nose bled from all the tissues and sprays I was using. Was put on fluticasone, and within 2 days, I breathe relatively clear and can sleep at night again. My nose is not 100% cleared, but I don't have to blow it anymore, and the sneezing has stopped. It smells flowery, which is pleasant."

Fluticasone nasal for Allergic Rhinitis "I started using Flonase last year, and it worked pretty well for me. After using it for a while, I'd get nosebleeds and stop using it for a few days and start back. This year is different and seems to have little effect. I do not get 24 hours of relief. I'm lucky if I get 8."

Fluticasone nasal for Allergic Rhinitis "After seeing an allergy specialist for a grass/tree pollen allergy, I switched from over-the-counter drugs [Claritin, Allegra] to Veramyst. It works great, and I do not experience negative side effects, such as nosebleeds. If my eyes are itchy, I use Pataday eye drops."

"It wasn’t until I stopped using Fluticasone, then started back using it, that I was able to confirm that Fluticasone is what has caused my anxiety/panic attacks. I was prescribed Fluticasone back in January of 2023 for allergies and Eustachian Tube Dysfunction. It worked at first, but then, out of nowhere, I started having anxiety and panic attacks. I experienced shaking, hands, arms, and legs tingling, racing heartbeat, chest tightness and chest pains, difficulty breathing, etc. I’ve been using it on and off for 3 months, hoping to improve my allergies/sinus issues and ETD. About 4 weeks ago, I got a nosebleed and stopped using Fluticasone to give my nose a break. The daily anxiety and panic attacks turned into maybe 1 or 2 a week. I’ve still been stuffy, so I decided to start back on Fluticasone on Saturday. The panic attacks, anxiousness, and chest pains have returned. Absolutely no more Fluticasone for me!"

For Rhinitis "My allergist gave me this inhalant for severe rhinitis. Two sprays in each nostril once a day. It worked great almost immediately, but after about a week, I started to experience really bad nosebleeds lasting upwards of 45 minutes. No other side effects, so I've cut the dosage in half. It works great on my nasal swelling, though. Finally feel like I'm getting enough oxygen."

For Rhinitis "I was out on fluticasone for a severe cold with an ear infection and thick head congestion that was quite persistent. The doctor felt giving it a go might get the nasal passages open a bit to help with sinus pressure and fluid behind my eardrum. After 10 days on it, my symptoms worsened: severe sore throat, white patches on my throat, bleeding nose, and tracheal spasms that put me into coughing fits so bad, I'd throw up and feel as though I would pass out from lack of air. I chose to stop it 3 days ago. After 2 days, my throat pain improved, and I felt more myself. Day 3, the tracheal spasms, so far, seem to have ended. While the medicine helped with congestion overall, the side effects were too much for me, and I couldn't continue."
