For Birth Control "I have been on four different birth control pills in the past 2 years. I got on Loryna about 6 months ago, and absolutely love it. It has completely gotten rid of my acne, and my periods are only 2 days now, with very little/ almost no cramps or pain. I used to have terrible breakouts, and nothing would prevent or help them. This birth control cleared my skin up the 2nd week I was on it, and I have had maybe a few zits here and there (3 or 4) but they usually go away right away. Other birth control pills gave me mood swings, messed with my periods, or made my acne worse. So glad when I switched to a new doctor, she put me on this. It is the best!"

For Birth Control "I had very bad PMDD and Loryna cleared all my symptoms including; awful headaches, acne, severe mood swings, literally the whole package. I've been on it for three years and it has been great. I am also sexually active and have had no scares. I start my pill pack on a Tuesday and I never have my period on a weekend. It's amazing!"

For Birth Control "I was on Loryna for the last 2 years. For the first year I really had no issues at all. My period were super light only 3 days at a time. My skin cleared up a bit and I only had the occasional break out. However this definitely gave me a lot of anxiety, my family noticed and so did my boyfriend. More recently I began to have panic attacks so I decided to stop. Overall this worked effectively for me for awhile and I really had no issues for a long time."

For Menstrual Disorders "This birth control made my life a living hell. First my emotions went out of control. I was always moody, terribly anxious, and started to become deppressed. Following this came the real reason why I am writing his review. I went on this birth control to help with my irregular and heavy periods. When the day came, I never experienced cramps so painful in my life. The only thing that I can compare it to is when I had to have an emergency appendectomy because it was about to explode. With this my period was the heaviest it has ever been and has been going on for 2 weeks now. This pill did much more harm than good for me and would never suggest it to someone."

For Acne "I've been using Loryna for about 4 years and it has done wonders for my acne. I used to have cystic acne all over my face and I haven't have cystic acne in several months. I think I only had one flare up over the past year and a half. I was planned to go on Accutane, so glad I didn't. Haven't gotten pregnant either. Win win!"

For Birth Control "I’ve been on this birth control for a little over a year now. It has balanced my mood, the placebo pills give me a short & light period usually 4 days long, it cleared up my acne quite a bit, with the exception of the week before I bleed, I’ll get a minor breakout. For the 14 months I’ve been on Loryna, 7 of those months I had irregular spotting every other month or so. I did not experience any body soreness that I’ve experienced on other BC pills, no sore breasts or sore muscles. I also did not experience any nausea on this BC."

For Birth Control "The nausea is intolerable. I’ve tried everything, taking with food, taking it at bedtime. It makes me feel so sick. I’ve had to take a pregnancy test twice because it feels exactly like being pregnant."

For Birth Control "I started this birth control a little over two months ago, and let me just say there are definitely side effects but all GOOD!! I never had horrible skin but since I began taking this my skin is more clear than ever. Even some facial hair has stopped growing! All my co workers rave about how great my skin is. As far as other side effects the first few days I was very tired and slight headache but THAT'S IT!! And it went away after the first week absolutely no side effects! I was so nervous about starting this birth control as I have never taken birth control and reading these reviews scared me. Also there is no change in my sex drive and no vaginal dryness! I get married in a few months and I’m so happy the first birth control I’ve tried is actually perfect for my body!"

For Birth Control "This has been the worst pill. I don’t recommend this. I had bad acne, horrible pains in my stomach, arms. My head pounded continuously and my moods were horrible. I was only on it for three weeks and I felt like awful"

For Menstrual Disorders "I’ve been on this since late 2016. The doctor told me I can skip placebo weeks for up to 3 months. So I did that and started spotting so I took it down to 2 months. Things were ok for a year but coming into 2018 I started spotting in between periods. Like non stop pink discharge. And I don’t know if I’ve always had them but I noticed tiny spider veins in my leg. I’m tan so you can barely see them but I notice them. I went to the doctor and told him my issues and he said to keep doing what I’m doing. So I said hell no, transferred all my records to an OBGYN office and hopefully getting an IUD on Monday. But I’ve heard horrible side effects on this pill. It has both estrogen and progesterone which can really cause issues but here’s what I experienced: weight loss, clearer skin, much higher sex drive. Literally the only issue is my spotting and the one spider vein. I’m so sorry for everyone who has apparently been through hell on this. I had great side effects"

For Premenstrual Dysphoric Disorder "I started Loryna for PMDD. Started on a Sunday. By Tuesday I had 3 enormous, painful zits. By Thursday I was in severe abdominal cramping pain. Similar to period/early labor pains. By Saturday they landed me in the ER. Every lab test and ultrasound/xray was normal so the only diagnoses that made sense was the pill. I'm currently on day 9 of my period which would normally only last 5-6 days. Needless to say, it's in the trash now."

For Acne "I was given Loryna for the first time a week ago. I used to have Gianvi and I enjoyed it. I just started birth control again after having my son and done with breast feeding. And so far it's been great. The first day or two I felt a little nauseous but not too bad. And I haven't developed any new pimples since I started the pack. My sex drive seems to have gone up! Surprisingly. I like that. No side effects for me yet. So far so good."

For Menstrual Disorders "I switched from lo loestrin Fe, because it made me stop having periods and made me nervous that I was pregnant because I didn't get my period. I switched to loryna and my periods came back and weren't irregular anymore, fairly light and less cramps. I have barely any acne besides some occasional acne on my backside. I've been having mood swings, low and high periods that last a week or so. It started affecting my relationship in a negative way and I've had more anxiety attacks than I did without it. Didn't make me gain weight at all, although it did make my depression a bit worse. I recommend this birth control but advise to be careful and if you notice it taking a toll on your mental health then switch. I've haven't switched yet"

For Birth Control "I've gained 20 pounds in the 5 months I've been on this, I cry and am depressed and finding myself working extra hard to do activities that I normally love. I have never had recurring yeast infections and have to treat them once a month now. I also lost my sex drive and I suddenly have really bad melasma. I am stopping immediately and hopefully notice some improvement soon. Plus side to this was short and light periods but after the first 2 months zi had random spotting every month."

For Birth Control "WEIRD - was on Yaz (brand name) for over a year and had absolutely no issues. Switched to the generic version and was given Loryna. Quickly I started to get TONS of freckles all over my body (very odd side effect). In addition my legs started swelling. It is different than Yaz!"

For Birth Control "This is my first time on BC, I am 19 and it has worked really well so far! I have had unprotected sex a few times and no surprises yet! I did have mood swings the first week I was on it, I cried at literally almost anything, but I think that was just my body getting used to it because I haven’t had any since. The second pack my acne cleared up a little bit and I am now almost done with my third pack and my acne is flaring up again but I hope it will go away altogether within the next 3 packs - that’s what most reviews I’ve seen says that it takes about 6 months. Reading the reviews before I began this pill made me very scared but this pill has worked very well for me!"

For Birth Control "I switched from tri-sprintec to Loryna. I was originally placed on birth control for hormonal acne, which proved to be a life saver. However, I switched to Loryna and after the first month, have not gotten a period in close to three months. Unsure if this is common, but the lack of period and increased anxiety while on this medication makes me want to switch back for peace of mind."

For Birth Control "I just started my second pack and i am pleased so far with the product. It seems like, based on all the other reviews, this bc is either going to be excellent for you or a nightmare. Luckily, i seem to responding well. I wont lie, the first week was terrible but i knew it would be since i was switching from gildess. The first day was ok, second day i was angry third day everything made me cry, i litterally cried all day long, next day i was tired, then i was pissed again and then my hormones finally calmed down. Ive noticed my acne and blackheads have cleared up significantly, my appetite is under control and my moods are more even. I am having a small amount of breakthrough bleeding which is to be expected on a new bc pill."

For Birth Control "This pill is just absolutely awful. When I got on it I had been told that it was the same as my last pill, so I figured it would be okay, but it really wasn’t. On Mylan I’m moody, I can admit that. On Loryna, I’m constantly angry and annoyed. I wake up in the morning always mad, and I hate it. This pill made it so much worse. On my other pill, my period was a nice respectable 5 days, but on this one it lasted well over two weeks. I haven’t noticed any other ill side effects, but most everyone who I have seen seems to hate this pill. If you have the choice, I wouldn’t recommend this at all. I was on Mylan for maybe a year before they switched me to this one, and I have to say if they give it to me again, I’m stopping birth control all together. On my last pill I was fine. If it works for you, great. However, I can’t say it’s the same for me. If it’s “the same” it shouldn’t give you awful side affects. I can’t wait 5 more months."

For Acne "I had tried just about everything for acne from topical creams to antibiotics. I had been on various different antibiotics for acne over the past four years and was ready to stop always taking antibiotics that never truly cleared my skin fully anyway. It's my second month on yaz and I've noticed improvement in my skin without taking the antibiotics. The first month I had a pretty bad breakout, mood swings, bad cramping, and cravings. I noticed a sort of constant breast tenderness and swelling, but especially so nearing my period. My sex drive has also significantly decreased and and in the first month I would actually cry for no reason at all (moodiness). The best part is that my insurance covers this completely. I pay nothing out of pocket"

For Birth Control "I have been taking Yaz for about 10 years, a few years ago I was given Loryna as a generic for Yaz and didn't think anything of it assuming it should be the same. While taking the generic I experienced extremely heavy periods that would last at least a week with a lot of blood clots. Typically my period is extremely light/no blood clots and lasts 3 days. I became very emotional and had drastic mood swings. Eventually my heavy period came and then didn't leave for an entire month, this made me realize the only thing that had changed was switching to generic Yaz. Once I switched back to yaz all these symptoms stopped. I ONLY get Yaz now."

For Birth Control "I started using birth control for heavy periods senior year of high school. I first used enkysence and it gave me bad nausea and horrible acne. I switched to this and I am on my fourth pack. It keeps my periods lighter and doesn't make me break out. The only problem I have had is if I don't take it within two hours of the time I take it everyday I will start having light bleeding. I don't get nausea and only had mood swings the first week."

For Acne "I started this birth control about 2 weeks ago for my Acne, PMS, Endometriosis , I've been on multiple different pills and have only found one that has worked perfectly for me (Mononessa) but sadly they discontinued it a couple months ago. I'm on my second week of Loryna pills and I'm already having to stop taking it. People are already telling me that I'm not acting like myself, I've been crying all week, moody, even suicidal which is not like me at all. I've had some nausea but not terrible but my acne has gotten 10 times worse within a week and I have cysts on my face, and even body acne on my back and chest. My anxiety has also been through the roof and my ears ring multiple times a day when they didn't before. I don't recommend this birth control at all."

For Acne "I’ve had a great experience with Loryna, it’s cleared up my acne and I don’t get a period at all on this pill. No cramps or moodiness. As a person with anxiety/depression and mood swings, Loryna has kept me feeling pretty balanced. The week before and during my period would always make my mental health take a dip - but not since I started Loryna. The only side effects I’ve had are lower sex drive(I’ve always had a low sex drive anyway), and tender breasts. Overall big positives! I hope this helps someone out there."

"I'm 48 and have been on BCP for 6 years for medical management, first Beyaz, then Yaz, then Vestura, then I guess over the last year or so Loryna. It has 100% helped my symptoms and made my life manageable. I skip placebos and take 3 to 4 packs in a row. My period lasts one to two days. This has saved me from a hysterectomy. Of note, last fall, a benign cyst was found on breast ultrasound. It was my first ultrasound, so I have no idea how long it's been there. Of note, over the past year or so, I've had unresolved edema both legs. Of note, when I'm off the pills for my period, the leg swelling is extremely significant, also fatigue and depression, crying. Those mood swings were way worse and much longer lasting before BCP. Of note, since last year my blood pressure has been a tiny bit high, which it is usually on the low side. I continue to monitor my overall health symptoms to make sure this medication is not otherwise harmful to me. I can't say enough how it has helped my pain."
