For Insomnia "I have been having problems falling asleep and staying asleep for about a year... unsure why - I have tried every over-the-counter sleeping pill I could find. Doxylamine is wonderful. I still sometimes have trouble staying asleep, but it allows me to fall asleep without any problems, and I still feel refreshed and energetic the next morning even if I woke up a few times in the night. I will take 1-3 of the 25 mg pills - I am highly tolerant of sleep-inducing pills and only recommend one for most people."

For Insomnia "I've had insomnia for as long as I can remember. I took a whole pill, and it worked for me, I was asleep in half an hour and slept for 8 hours straight and didn't wake up once. This is very rare for me, I'm a very light sleeper when I do fall asleep, so the smallest sound wakes me up. I do find that if I'm woken up at like 2 a.m. after taking this, I can't get back to sleep. The pill stopped working after a week, and I need to find something new."

For Insomnia "I have epilepsy, and my main trigger is lack of sleep. Unfortunately, and ironically, my epilepsy meds cause insomnia. I started taking doxylamine over a year ago, and for six months or so, I was taking 25 mg about once a week. For the last 8 months, I take around 12.5 mg a night, every night. I'm currently pregnant, and it's helped my morning sickness. The one time I didn't take it in over six months, I had a seizure the next day. My GP knows I'm on it and supports me being on it. Honestly, it's one of the best things that has ever happened to me."

For Insomnia "I was taking 50 mg of Phenergan (2 tablets) for a year and gained a considerable amount of weight. When I stopped, I have had terrible insomnia, and it has not ceased for a few years. I usually alternate between Restavit, Valium, and Zopiclone, but I am fearful I am becoming addicted, as I have to take large doses of Valium and Zopiclone now to have any effect. I would like to stop all benzos and z-drugs, but am hesitant to take Restavit every night because I am afraid of the weight gain. I know it acts on the same receptor as Phenergan, so I am interested to know if anyone has experienced weight gain while taking Restavit long-term?"

For Insomnia "I have been taking 240 mgs of codeine a day for 23 years. I was misdiagnosed with Crohn's disease and now, at 50, it is correctly diagnosed as IBS, so I'm withdrawing from that opiate. I experienced insomnia and was prescribed this. I took one at 8:30, went to bed at 9:20, took another at 11:30, and was still awake at 4:30 in the morning. It is so frustrating, as I do not want to go back to Xanax to sleep. I wish there was an over-the-counter option better than this. Well, for me anyway, this medication was useless."

Doxylamine for Insomnia "I took it for nausea back in 2020 and also to help me sleep. It worked great until it didn’t work at all anymore at 25 mg. I tried 50 one night and felt like I was going to pass out. Threw them away. Now having severe insomnia and desperate, been on prescription meds. I tried this again, 25 mg, and it made me feel so weird, made me not be able to feel myself breathe, and I was up for hours for most of the night until that all could calm down. I will be throwing it right in the trash. I normally cannot take antihistamines or Benadryl or anything like that because they all make me feel similar and make my heart race. But since I was okay with Unisom in 2020, I thought I’d give it another go. This really sucks. I’m exhausted."
