Unisom SleepTabs (doxylamine) for Insomnia "Took this for the first time, and it completely knocked me out cold. Woke up after 10 hours of sleep, I did not even hear my loud alarms on my phone next to my pillow. When I got up, I struggled to walk. I walked sideways into my bedroom wall, got to the bathroom, and almost fell in the shower. I live alone, and it's a good job I didn't slip and bang my head. The rest of the day, it felt like I had lead weights in my feet and strange pressure in my skull. Not taking this again."

Unisom SleepTabs (doxylamine) for Insomnia "Couldn't sleep last night. Finally at 3 AM, I looked in the cabinet and found this. I took 2 blue tablets. 30 mins, I was asleep. A friend texted at 10 AM, woke up, and I was extremely groggy, unsteady, and had heavy eyelids. Just felt weird. I drank a cup of coffee and was still groggy. Hours later, I still felt bad. Went back to bed at around 2. I decided to check out what the heck happened. Looks like I took too much. It did put me to sleep at the expense of my Saturday off feeling like crud. Will try 1 next time. 2 was too much for sure."

Unisom SleepTabs (doxylamine) for Insomnia "Started taking doxylamine succinate (aka Unisom) for occasional sleeplessness about 6 weeks ago. I'm a 59-year-old woman, healthy, menopausal. Box says the dose is 25 mg. I started with 12.5 mg because I'm sensitive to most meds. It worked VERY well. I fell asleep fast and stayed asleep, no issues except maybe a mild drowsiness feeling during the day here or there. Fast forward to last week, I'm experiencing dizziness, mild balance issues, headache. Don't know if it's because I took it 3-4 days in a row sometimes and stopped for a day or two? I just know it's a bummer because it works, but this stupid dizziness and balance thing is hanging on into day 2, and I don't want to take it anymore because of that. They say it's 'not habit-forming.' I think my body got used to it and I'm 'withdrawing.'"

Unisom SleepTabs (doxylamine) for Insomnia "Because of the lockdown due to coronavirus, my sleep pattern was distorted, and I was not getting enough sleep. So, I decided to get a sleep aid and researched online. This Unisom SleepTabs came up as one of the most effective to getting good sleep and waking refreshed. But the promises are wild and far from reality. I took the pill at bedtime but could not fall asleep for hours. In the morning, I woke up with all dizziness and a drowsy feeling. My body was aching all over. I could not focus at all and lacked clarity during the day. I don't recommend it at all!"

Unisom SleepTabs (doxylamine) for Insomnia "It works perfectly for me to go to sleep. I only took half of the tab. I slept the whole night for 10 hours, but I had a hard time trying to wake up! I felt dizzy and had a migraine. I read everything about side effects, so I realized that I can't take this substance because I'm taking Eutirox because I have been diagnosed with hypothyroidism. It works, but it's not good for me."

Unisom SleepTabs (doxylamine) for Insomnia "I moved to Hawaii 2 months ago and have had insomnia since I've been here. I decided to buy Unisom and give it a try. First time, it did absolutely nothing. Second time, it took approximately 3 hours to fall asleep. So I decided to up the dose to 2 pills. It's a 50/50 chance to fall asleep within 2 hours. When it does work, I wake up groggy and unbalanced and it takes a few hours to shake it off. I don't recommend this product. It just doesn't seem to work like it claims."

Sleep Aid (doxylamine) for Insomnia "I was finding before I took Sleep Aid from Costco I would fall asleep but could not stay asleep. Now with just one before bedtime (usually 20 to 30 min) I fall asleep, stay asleep, and have incredible dreams. Very vivid, sometimes detailed dreams. The best part is, I wake up, and feel great. Sleep is so important. The only reason I am giving it a 9, instead of 10, sometimes I get a little dizzy if I do have to take a nighttime trip to the BR."

For Insomnia "I took 1 (one) 25 mg tablet. I haven't been sleeping well, so I thought I would try this. I did fall asleep within about 30 minutes. I awoke about 6 hours later, and my room was literally spinning. I was so dizzy feeling I could barely get to the bathroom and then back to bed. I fell back to sleep quickly, which for me is unusual. I slept for another 3-4 hours. When I awoke, I was still quite dizzy feeling, but not like when I had woken up previously. That was 5 days ago. I have had dizziness since I took that one pill and have not taken any more. I must be extremely sensitive to this medication. I have also had some nausea this whole time."

For Insomnia "Took one 25 mg tablet and ended up in the ER with dry mouth and brain fogginess. Doctor gave me a hydrocortisone injection. Heart rate was high, and I had to do blood tests. Doc sent me home, but a couple hours later, I woke up with a fast heart rate, 143 bpm, dizzy and blurred vision, and went back to the hospital where they gave me a beta blocker to slow down my heart rate. Since then, I have heart palpitations and anxiety. Wish I never took this tablet. Heart tests all came back normal."
