For Bacterial Infection "I was on a cruise ship and caught a throat infection. The ship’s doctor recommended amoxicillin. I took it for two days, three times a day after meals. The bad side effects were diverse and extreme. Nausea, fatigue, very bad headache, etc. I stopped using it, and it took 3 days for the side effects to dissipate. Never again! This drug should be viewed with extreme caution, and if side effects occur, stop using it immediately."

"Was on 500 mg twice a day for 10 days for strep. The first few days I was feeling better, but then towards the end, it got bad again. They said I had just caught it again. Went back and am on cefdinir now. But otherwise, this medication gave me no side effects at all. No diarrhea, nausea, or loss of appetite. I am happy about that, but this medication just seemed too mild for me that the strep was able to come back in the middle of my course."

For Bacterial Infection "I took amoxicillin on an empty stomach one night. Couldn't sleep. Getting up every 10-15 minutes to throw up. Very nauseous. Threw up everything in my stomach. Hardest night of my life."
