"Started this in October of 24, went to 5.0 mg. In November, 7.5 for two weeks in December, then dropped back to 5.0 because of a few side effects, but mostly because I lost 25 lbs. in 2.5 months. That put me about where I want to be. I've stayed steady on my weight for 3 weeks now, taking 5.0 mg. every 10 days. It's great, I've had to buy new pants that fit and feel much better. Side effects weren't too bad, but you'll definitely know it if you eat too much, and over time (a couple of months) your body will slowly get used to it. I don't crave foods as I used to and only eat what I need, which is smaller amounts. I wasn't too overweight, but at 57 I suffered from high blood pressure, and age kept my weight slowly creeping up and harder and harder to keep under control. This works great!!!"

"Started using Zepbound in March 2024, at 2.5 mg. History of Obesity (BMI > 29) and Hypertension. Starting weight was 202 lb. and Blood Pressure Avg. of 153/90. As of today, May 24, 2024, currently on 10mg. My weight is currently 177 lb, having lost 25 lbs (12%) of starting weight. It was easy to learn how to use the injection pen, and it is a painless process. I am also exercising, running 4-5 days per week and weight training 2 days per week. Exercise is an important adjunct to weight loss treatment, and can help maintain muscle mass while losing weight. It is also imperative to eat foods rich in protein and green, leafy vegetables. Side effects have been minimal, with occasional constipation, which is remedied by using Miralax or similar products."

"It definitely curbs your appetite, however, it destroyed my stomach. After 5 weeks, I couldn’t tolerate it anymore. I’m disappointed that my stomach and vomiting were so severe that it was not worth the risk. In a 3-week period, I had to go to the emergency room twice. I hope others have a better experience than I did."

"I have been taking Zepbound for about 3 months now and have lost 18 lbs. The experience has been mostly unpleasant. The gastric issues that accompany the medication are almost unbearable. The desire to eat did not go away, and I mostly did not eat because I was always so nauseated and experiencing acid reflux. Every day has been miserable. It did make you feel good but not in a satisfied way, just full like you ate way too much to the point of feeling sick. It feels great to have lost 18 lbs, but I will probably not continue the shots due to the gastric issues."

"Started out great. Moved to 5.0 and had AWFUL vomiting on day 3 after injection. Dr. tried to move me back to 2.5 but Rx store was unable to get it. Went 5 weeks before it was restocked. Started 2.5 again with 0 effect. And I mean zero. Moved to 5.0 and the nausea is there, but so far, no vomiting. What concerns me is that I have suddenly been struggling with an elevated pulse and higher than normal BP. Wasn't an issue before, so not sure if it's related or incidental. May stop it because I just don't feel good. In addition over the 5 months of on and off again, I am down 4 pounds...and following a reasonable diet plan. Discouraged."

"I am 72 years old, starting weight of 210 on June 13, 2024. 1 month of 2.5 mg, then been on 5 mg. Absolutely no side effects. August 14, 2024, down to 189. Never hungry. Was concerned this was slow weight loss with reviews of 20 in one month. These reviews were reassuring to me."

"I started Zepbound in March of this year, along with regular exercise and a more balanced diet. Since then, I have lost 65 lbs. For the first time in over 20 years, I am under 200 lbs. I feel great. I barely use my inhaler, my knees rarely hurt, and I can jog! My labs are all within normal limits, and I feel so much better about myself. I have very little side effects from ZB: nausea the day after I take it, intolerance to most alcoholic beverages, and I get hot after every meal. I’ll take those side effects any day if it means that I’ll continue to have my life back. I’m on the highest dose now and will continue until I reach my goal of 165. I’m 5’4'' and 44 yrs old. I’m not sure that I want to get back to my high school weight of 140 or less. Anyway, I’m not here to steer anyone, I just wanted to share how well it’s going for myself."

"5’1”, 180 lbs, 63 yrs. old female, BMI 34%. History of cardiac disease and hypothyroidism. I’ve been taking the 2.5 mg dose for six months with virtually no worrisome side effects. I do experience unusual tiredness within 8–12 hours of each dose. Who doesn’t enjoy a good nap, yeah? I'm currently experiencing moderate hair loss, which is a concern. I consulted my PCP, who agreed we should rule out other potential causes such as a recent change in thyroid medication, nutrient deficiencies, or age before deciding the next step in my weight-loss journey with Zepbound. My current weight is 142 lbs. That’s 38 lbs (an approximate 1.5 lbs/week or 6 lbs/month) weight loss over six months. It’s just the boost I needed. According to the CDC, losing 1–2 lbs per week is a healthy weight loss goal. It’s reassuring to know that my weight loss is at a healthy pace at the lowest effective dose of Tirzepatide. Thank you, Eli Lilly, for the Zepbound coupon card ($25 co-pay)."

"Well, I am beyond the moon now that I have been approved by my insurance to take Zepbound! I have been trying to lose weight for years, practically killing myself with diets and exercise that just didn't work for my body type. I am a 59-year-young lady weighing in at 188.6 lbs. I am looking forward to my much-needed and wanted weight loss experience with Zepbound! I did my homework... Now let's go!"

"Zepbound (tirzepatide) is amazing - if you are not losing much on semaglutide, see if your doctor will let you try tirzepatide. I’ve been on Zepbound seven months and I’m down 55 pounds. Took 2.5mg the first month and then spent 5 months on 5mg. Just moved up to 7.5mg this month and it has totally killed my appetite. Main side effect for me is fatigue, especially the day of the shot and the next couple of days. I plan to stay on 7.5 until I reach my goal weight and then go on maintenance. I will have to keep taking it - otherwise it is likely I will gain all the weight back. Yes, it is expensive but worth it."

"I asked my doctor about starting Wegovy since my efforts weren't working, but she recommended Zepbound - and I am so glad she did! My appetite is no longer controlling me, and yet those pre-diabetic low blood sugar drops are gone. After 3 months at the 5 mg dose, I'm still consistently losing about 1% of my weight each week. The only side effects are minor constipation and heartburn, but they encourage me to drink more water. I was hesitant to start because...needles...but it's so tiny I don't feel it at all. I wish I had started sooner!"

"I started in January and have moved doses up monthly. This morning I took my 4th 7.5 mg dose. I did have a 2.5 mg pen malfunction and moved up to 5 a week early. I've been losing 1-3 pounds a week, for a total today of 28 lb loss. My goal is to lose 50. As far as side effects, they really aren't too bad for me. Daily Colace helps any constipation, which has not been much of an issue anyway. Occasional nausea is fleeting and is helped with Coke One. I know some are against drinking soda, but Coke One does not have sugar and has been my nausea cure for as long as it's been on the market. My appetite is diminished, but not gone. I've changed my eating pattern to several small, healthy mini-meals during the day instead of 3 'regular' meals. Zero cravings for junk food or much snacking at all. Part, I'm sure, is that I'm keeping those mini meals full of protein and vegetables. The only real issue that I've had is fatigue. It hits about an hour after the shot and lasts about 36 h."

"I didn’t have any side effects. I lost 15 lbs in 4 months. I lost 6 inches from my waist. I went from 37 inches to 31 inches. I’m starting to tone up. I’m back to working out 4-5 days for an hour a day. I still have ways to go, but it’s looking good and I’m feeling good."

"So, I took one dose, unfortunately, my doctor screwed up and started me at 15mg. I've been in the ED for 36 hours and have had the worst 3 weeks of my life. This is not a review but a caution, check your script thoroughly, make sure you're taking the right dose. I need to purge this dose from my system and then start a 2.5mg dose."

"I started Zepbound 5 days ago. I am feeling fine without any side effects as of now, although I do have nightmares, and they just started the night of the first injection and have continued each night. I am a healthcare professional for more than 50 years and enjoy reading about medications, especially ones that I am taking, and I am interested in more reading material."

"Since starting Zepbound 13 weeks ago to shed 60 pounds, I've gradually increased from 2.5 mg to 10 mg. It's effective, but sleepless nights have become my unwelcome companions, especially on the higher doses. Heartburn and that uncomfortable chest sensation are no picnic either. Despite dropping 30 pounds, I feel drained—fatigue, dizziness, and concentration issues plague me. To tackle these side effects, I'll either stick to 10 mg or drop to 7.5 mg. But with a $1,000 monthly price tag and the hassle of hunting down my prescription, quitting Zepbound crosses my mind. Yet, the thought of returning to the weight loss battle isn't enticing either. Swapping out heavy meals for light options like chicken and soups helps ease discomfort, but what I really crave is a solid night's sleep. I'm giving it one last shot, tweaking my diet and powering through my remaining doses before deciding—is it worth it?"

"Life-changing. Down 30 pounds in 5 months. Within a few hours of the first dose, I experienced hunger suppression, increased satiety, and best of all, reduced food noise. I thought about food 24/7 before taking this medication. Despite tracking calories and eating whole foods and eliminating most sugar, I always craved sweet and high-fat foods like ice cream and felt hungry even after a meal. On this medication, I crave veggies and fruit and protein. Side effects: as a woman going through menopause, the hot flashes have been miserable. I also have always had an extreme heat intolerance for hot weather. On this medication, hot flashes are gone and I've enjoyed summer for the first time in my life. Negative side effect: constipation. Easily manageable with Miralax and Benefiber."

"I started Zepbound 3 weeks ago, and I have to say I feel remarkably well and really am enjoying how it has decreased my appetite and kept me on track with my high-protein and low-carb diet. I am losing 2.7 pounds a week and am also using MyNet Diary to track my intake. My BP has dropped 12-15 points, and the swelling in my legs is gone. I’m using 5 mg weekly and haven’t had side effects. First time in years I’ve felt so well. I’m psyched that I can finally reach my goals."

"I've just started 2 and a half weeks ago, and I've lost 5 pounds. I do the work, though. Eat healthy, lots of water, and 10,000 steps a day. I'm only on 2.5 (starter dose). I'm being titrated up to 5 mg in another week. ZERO SIDE EFFECTS. Been trying for 5 years to lose the last 40 pounds after an illness. THIS IS WORKING. Excited for the future. Will update."

"I am an active-duty Army soldier. I have multiple physical problems after a long military career. I am pleased to learn that the Army now pays 100% for Zepbound. The max dosage they will provide, though, is 5%. But still, free is free. There is a huge benefit to being in the military that I did not know existed. It has helped me lose 20 pounds so far. The only negative side effects I have had are LOTS of trips to the bathroom daily and headaches when I first started to take it. Twice I showed purple bruising at the injection site. I have to drink LOTS of water daily and increase my protein intake. Good-tasting protein shakes help meet that goal."

"16 weeks now on Zepbound. I am down 27 lbs. 5’5’ 170 lbs now 143 lbs. Had high cholesterol. This is a great product but you have to be ready to eat healthy too. Protein shake in the am. Protein bar in the afternoon. Try Fuffil bars. Walmart sells them, they are amazing. Salads, salmon, pork, chicken, veggies for dinner. Try Sobol, they have a great green smoothie and healthy fruit options. Kodiak products are good too. No side effects, but I chose to stay at 5 mg. No need to go up. I have so much energy now, work out 6 days a week. It’s a new me, and I’m loving it."

"Miracle drug. I have been able to be in a calorie deficit for the past 1.5 years. I have lost 50 lbs, and I am getting closer and closer to my weight loss goals, which I'll be able to hit this year. I am fortunate to not get any intense side effects. I'll likely be on this medication for life."

"I have lost over 35 lbs in 5 months. I started at the 2.5 and have worked up to the 10. Zepbound is incredibly effective at assisting with the weight loss. Greasy fatty foods definitely upset my stomach now. The first day post-shot, I am super tired and have a very mildly upset stomach, after that, it’s fine. I am freezing all the time, so for sure take a jacket wherever you go! I am not starving and do not have cravings at all. Staying hydrated seems to help with curbing the initial side effects. Initially, I found myself hardly eating just because I wasn’t hungry. I had to make a concerted effort to make myself sit down and eat. Protein and veggies made me feel a ton better and didn’t result in any digestive discomfort. It really was a trial and error. Alcohol is not your friend, even 1 or 2 drinks makes me feel awful. I ended up naturally having a cleaner diet and drinking a lot more water just to minimize the digestive side effects."

"It’s causing swelling of my lips within 2-3 hours of injection. Swelling lasts 12-24 hours, then recedes, but I’m left with a feeling of dried, cracked lips. Especially on the side of the mouth. No swelling of the tongue, throat, or face."

"With the initial injection of 2.5 taken before bed. I woke up with painful, swollen neck lymph nodes and extreme fatigue. The next day, the swollen lymph nodes seemed to have moved down, now in the chest/armpit area. On the 3rd day, one of my knees is swollen and horribly painful. I have absolutely never had any knee issues prior to the injection. If I get nauseous, drinking more water helps. At this start of the med, continuing is definitely not worth it."
