"After so many people I knew were doing so well on these injections, I started Zepbound 6 weeks ago. I was fine for 24 hours, then the side effects kicked in. I don't recall ever feeling this sick. Sulfur burps, churning stomach, started vomiting and diarrhea for 3 full days. I was sick for days after the first shot. I had no hunger while so very sick. Week 2 and 3 had no problems and the food cravings were gone. I was prepared to be very successful on this medication. Week 4 sulfur burps came back again, 24 hours after my injection. The same reactions returned but less violent, I was sick for 24 hours. Maybe a fluke? Week 5 and 24 hours in, same sulfur burps started it again: diarrhea, stomach spasms, and vomiting. Nope, off the Zepbound. I would rather stay fat than make myself sick with every dose. I never got beyond 2.5. I know this has been wonderful for some people, it's just not for me."

"In the last 7 months, I went on a medically supervised, 1100-calorie per day diet to lose weight. I'm a 52-year-old female, 5'9'', and weighed 282 lbs. I managed to get down to 255 lbs and was feeling physically better, but constantly hungry, cranky, and miserable (also miserable to be around). After much discussion with my doctor (who was in favor of the medication), I started taking 2.5mg of Zep just before Christmas. After 3 weeks of use and despite many holiday celebrations, I'm down 4 lbs and all my cranky hanger is gone. I feel much better - all the noise in my head about food has disappeared, along with much of my appetite. I had constipation for the first couple of days after the first shot, but now I don't have any. My side effects have been minimal thus far, but I notice cravings and a bit of hunger coming back on days 5 and 6. I'm amazed at how easy this makes managing my diet, and it is so nice to not feel like a failure for once! I'm paying out of pocket with the savings card, but the $560 per month is so worth it."

"I started Zepbound 17 days ago. 64-year-old woman, 210 lbs, BMI 33.9, height 5 ft 6 inches. Insulin resistant, high blood pressure, and cholesterol, sleep apnea. No problem at all with the injection. I don't even feel it. I do bring it to room temperature before injecting. I was terrified of the potential side effects but thankfully haven't experienced any that aren't very manageable. I notice if I eat certain foods for dinner, they aren't digested by morning, so I avoid those. I might feel a bit of nausea from time to time but use ginger chews. I definitely feel full faster and eat less. I've only weighed myself once so far, on day 9, and was down 7 pounds. Frankly, I have been a little scared of the scale after failing so many different diets (Keto, Intermittent Fasting, South Beach, Weight Watchers, to name a few). I'd diligently stay on them for several weeks only to have the scale not budge, or sometimes my weight went up! So discouraging. I'm so hopeful with this new medication!"

"I’ve lost 43 lbs in the last 9 months. I experienced some mild hair loss (but started this in menopause, so that contributed to hair loss as well), increased heart rate, although mine was low to start, some burping, and tiredness. The worst side effect for me is the diarrhea. I have it starting about 24-48 hrs after injection. It lasts on and off for about 3 days. Overall, these side effects have been mild and manageable. The weight loss has been life-changing!!"

"I normally do not write reviews, but this medication has been very helpful. I have struggled with being overweight my entire life. I have always felt like my medical conditions were fighting against me, but week 1, I lost 5.8 lbs. This is not a miracle drug, I do run 6 mi 5 days a week (started at 1 mi) and lift weights 3 times a week. I also have an active lifestyle with 6 kids. I eat a high-protein, low-carb diet and make sure I drink 100 oz of water a day. I have been able to lose 40 lbs in 12 weeks. I started at 2.5 mg for 4 weeks, bumped up to 5 mg, and my doctor is keeping me at that because I have done so well. I have 25 lbs until I reach my goal weight. Without this medication, I would have still been depressed, overweight, and my health would still be declining. I have tried every workout, every diet. Zepbound has been the game changer. I have not experienced any negative side effects."

"I started taking Zepbound approximately 3 weeks ago, and this is after having the Gastric Sleeve a year ago. Due to becoming ill, I gained about 30lbs back and was not happy at all. So finally, my doctor prescribed Zepbound. The nausea is unreal, but I tolerate it. When trying to eat anything fried, it's a vomiting situation that's going to happen. But overall, I have lost about 4lbs in the 3 weeks with no exercise. I will try and start exercising with the next mg upgrade. Guys, please realize everybody's journey is different, and you will lose what your body is supposed to lose, so don't overdo it. Zepbound is working great for me at the moment."

"I just had my 2nd shot of Zepbound and the side effects so far are that I burp a lot (lol) & feel a little tired, but nothing major at all. I can’t eat much at all, maybe a few bites, and it takes me forever to get those few bites down, then I’m full for a few hours. I have been keeping a complete diary of this. So determined. Hope this helps."

"I've been on Zepbound for about 3 months. I'm 5'3' and started at 167. So far I have lost 12 lbs. trying to maintain a 1,200 calorie diet. The main thing is to watch what you eat and quit when you are full. The only side effects I've seen are fatigue and constipation. The shots don't bother me at all and no nausea, thank goodness. The only thing I'm really worried about is gaining it back when I stop. Good luck to all!"

"I have been taking Zepbound for seven and a half weeks now. I have lost 20 lbs! I am happy about that. I love how it takes that constant hunger I felt and cravings for junk are gone - that’s a miracle in itself. I did have some side effects of bloating, nausea, and sulfur burps and gas, but they do seem to taper off as your body adjusts to the dose. I am now up to a 5 mg dose but have opted to stay here for now because the nausea was increasing. I have no hunger at all. I will try it another month at 5 mg and if no relief in the nausea, I will ask to go back to the 2.5 dose. I continue to lose 2-3 pounds a week and it is adding up."

"Been on Zepbound 7 weeks now. Lost about 22 lbs so far with no exercise. This stuff is amazing at curbing your appetite. But beware, stick to healthy foods and minimal portions because the nausea is otherworldly. I ate too much too late in the day yesterday. I had to leave work early today for the second time since being on this med. Light-headed, profuse sweating, chills, diarrhea almost non-stop and even puking. This med is a miracle, but you cannot mess around. Take it seriously. Cut back portions, minimal dairy, low sugar and don't eat too late. I'm excited to see how far I can go on this med. So thankful I have access."

"After many years of trying to lose weight only to keep gaining, I finally had enough and decided to start Zepbound last December when I found out my insurance would pay for it. I started on 2.5mg like everyone else and increased the dose monthly. It’s June and I currently take 15mg. I have lost 55 pounds. I consistently lose 2 pounds per week. I had side effects as I titrated up. I no longer have any side effects. I am still losing weight and I have never felt better. I plan to stay on this long term. My doctor is on board with that plan as well. I would recommend this to anyone that has tried everything and has been unable to lose the weight. I am 50 years old and want to be able to stay active and have little to no pain. This medicine has changed my life."

"I am one week in and on the 2.5 dose. I was really afraid to start because I didn’t want to get hypoglycemia, which is something I have dealt with my whole life. (I’m not diabetic and do not take insulin, I think I just have plenty of insulin.) But I did it and am so happy I did! I am down 4 lbs in one week and have had minimal side effects. I am eating much less, and food noise is almost gone. I’m excited to keep on going! For reference, I am a 59-year-old woman, 5’ 4”, and my starting weight was 192. So far, this is like a miracle! I highly recommend it if you can get it."

"I originally started the Zepbound shot at the end of this past January. I weighed a total of 202 lbs when I started it. That would be about 3-4 months ago. I was very self-conscious, I didn't want to take any pictures of myself, I felt disgusted by myself, I always brought myself down, etc. But now, now I weigh 154 lbs. I'm at the 10 mg of the Zepbound. I started off as the lowest and I'm still not at the highest, to be honest. I lost about 50 pounds in the last 4 months! I researched it and it'll take 16 months to lose about 50 pounds for a normal person who doesn't take anything. And I did it in 4 months with that shot! I never thought I would get to this weight, to be honest. In the beginning, I was going to the YMCA to work out every week to put in the extra work, etc. At first, I started losing like a pound a day, not even kidding, sometimes 2 lbs a day. Then it went to a pound every couple days, and it would vary."

"Ten days on Zepbound. Love this medication. The energy it gives you is amazing. 1st day injection in thigh developed bruise and slight nausea and headache. But no biggie. 2nd shot belly super easy. Takes away urge to eat. No more stomach grumbling when hungry either. I have a protein shake in the morning, mid-morning protein bar, little bites throughout the morning. Small lunch and salmon or chicken for dinner. Veggies and fruit are important. No issue with bathroom. I take a fiber gummy and multivitamin daily. Treadmill and gym. After showering, I've been using lots of lotion on skin, massaging in. You'll be fine. Smart choices in foods. Yogurt gave me nausea as did tuna with mayonnaise. 6 lbs so far."

"I’m a 6’4", 275-pound male, 62 years old - no diabetes or health issues, on no other meds. Obtained prescription via Dr. and took the first 2.5 mg injection on Dec. 24. Lost 10 pounds with the first 3 shots, then Dr. said I could go to 5 mg (saved the last 2.5 mg pen for future use) because weight loss had stopped. After starting 5 mg, lost 2 pounds in 2 days - so combined weight loss using 2.5/5 mg is now at 12 pounds in six weeks! No significant or terrible side effects except some constipation, intermittent fatigue, and minor chills at times (not a lot - could just be the cold weather). I've yo-yoed up and down with weight for years. Because of my size, I can eat a lot of food - but this drug has significantly reduced my appetite, and I have more energy overall. I can’t wait to see the results in a few more months. Zepbound has so far been perfect for me. I don’t mind the $550 price (with the Lilly savings card - has been hard to get CVS to make it work, but that’s another story/nightmare)."

"Absolutely life-changing. For the first time in my life, I'm satisfied by reasonable portions. I'm not always thinking about the next thing that I'll be eating. I'm able to feel and respond to my actual hunger cues without my scarcity brain taking over. Even if I wasn't losing weight, the relief of food obsession and binge eating disorder would be worth it. Four weeks in, down 13 lbs and very satisfied. Only side effect has been feeling cold and some mild constipation."

"Started at the end of Jan 24. 4 weeks at 2.5mg, 8 weeks at 5mg due to lack of supply. I've had to seek alternatives due to the shortage of this drug, but it is worth it. I've lost 30 pounds in 14 weeks and moved up to 7.5mg on my last dose. The food noise is gone. The alcohol noise is gone. Other than some nausea and fatigue on shot day, side effects have been mild and easily manageable. I wish I'd have been able to start this long ago and gotten my life back. 30 pounds to go and I have no doubt I will be successful."

"I’ve used Zepbound for almost 5 months & have lost 15 lbs. I experienced diarrhea at the beginning but much less now. What I didn’t expect was that my bladder issues like leaking, etc. would stop. It has been amazing! I went from needing valve & bladder surgeries to complete stoppage. I hope this info will help other women with their urology issues. Even if I never lost another pound, if another Zepbound side effect helps my bladder, I’m in!!"

"I've been on Zepbound for 6 months, and it has worked great for me! 40 lbs. down!!! I only feel yucky the day after the injection, but other than that, no other concerns. I just received a letter from my insurance company (Keystone East) stating that beginning 1/1/2025, IBX in whole is no longer covering weight loss drugs. WOW!!!! :( People like myself have been waiting most of their lives for a drug like this, and here we go with corporate America. Even though I'm 40 lbs. down, I still need to lose an additional 40 lbs. just to be considered overweight and not obese in the medical world. My joints no longer hurt, and I can work out without the aches and pains. My overall health has improved so much, and I am greatly disappointed and upset with this decision from IBX. I wish everyone much luck if this will be happening to you too after the new year."

"So far, so good. Rarely get hungry and can't eat too much. Side effects: Heartburn, reflux, constipation, hair loss. I will have to weigh myself in the morning, but I am guessing I am down about 8 lbs. in 5 weeks. Just started on the 5 ml. No exercise yet. Wine and alcohol will definitely slow down the progress. Not a lot of cravings for junk. Every now and then I want something fried, but it will have you on the crapper by the next morning! Stay away from greasy food on this! And YES, the needle DOES hurt to me!"

"I started taking Zepbound on the first of September, am 5'8, was weighing 190. I stopped taking Zepbound on November 18th, had no serious side effects, I was just feeling moody. Stopped at my goal of 175.9 and still losing on my own. It's December 5, and I weigh 172.9. Zepbound has taught me to eat a balanced, healthy meal without all the cravings, portion size, and exercise. Down 16 pounds."

"I am in my 50s and I stayed on the 2.5 for 2 months and just began the 5 mg today. I had gastric sleeve exactly a year before covid, lucky me, huh? Working from home, no gym, already had depression, joint, and severe back issues. It all did not mix with slowing down and sitting down. I gained half of the weight I lost, and the high cholesterol returned. I started Zepbound on Feb 17, 2024, and lost 18 lbs by my first check-up on April 1. Very fast. My cholesterol dropped significantly. I do not have high blood pressure, but it was down too. All blood work is great. The only side effect is constipation that I fixed with Miralax. There are no food cravings or noise in my head. I get full very fast, although I have to remind myself to eat. I have dry mouth, I bought sugar-free popsicles to deal with that. I have been sleeping better, although I stay up late due to the energy it gives me."

"I started this journey at 387 lbs. On the initial dosage of 2.5 mg, I lost 12 lbs in the first month. I have no side effects to speak of, and the food noise is 90% gone - although it seems to know when I'm within 24 hours of my next injection. The weight loss from the 5 mg cycle feels like another 10 lbs, but my Dr. visit will tell the tale. I am VERY happy with this decision, and I have NO regrets."

"I've been on this medication for 6 weeks and have never felt better about my body or my day. I didn't realize I could have a day where I wasn't thinking about food from the minute I got up until I fell asleep at night. I feel free to think about other things and to not be distracted by trying to have willpower to not eat. It's a huge relief. Is this what thin people feel like? People who have never struggled with being overweight? I have always thought my weight was based on my genetics, and maybe it is-but it's also my brain that literally is addicted to food. It feels like I've been released from an addiction. I haven't noticed any side effects. I tried Ozempic before this and was very constipated and had stomach issues. I don't feel that way at all on Zepbound, my stomach is fine. I'm on 2.5, it's very easy to administer, and I feel like it really works. I hope I'm able to take it for a long time, I'm sort of afraid to go back to the brain I had before taking it."

"This medication saved my life! In the beginning, the nausea was very noticeable but worth every bit! I never really had a problem with my weight until after my pregnancies. I gained over 90 lbs with each of my two pregnancies. Being at over 300 lbs and only 5’1” was a miserable existence. I couldn’t breathe and was exhausted all of the time, not to mention pre-diabetic and very high blood pressure. It has definitely been a journey, but I stand by that this medication saved my life. I’ve lost 125 lbs. I still have a way to go to get to my goal, but I’m so happy to be alive to see how much better life can be! By the way, my A1C is now normal, and the hypertension has also resolved! I’m very grateful!"
