Tirzepatide "Follow Up: I am currently on day 11 of Zepbound 2.5 mg. As of this morning, I have lost 11.73 lbs. Daily, I documented how I felt and symptoms. The first 24 hours of injection #1, I had extreme fatigue, normal appetite, and a whole lot of belching. Day 2, belching, less hungry, no other symptoms. Day 3, I had no appetite, no other symptoms. Day 4, less than normal appetite, no other symptoms . Days 3 and 4 have just been repetitive. I have had no negative side effects, BUT I also have made sure to eat high-protein foods for every meal, even on the days I had no appetite, nothing greasy (thinking about it turns my stomach), no high-sugar foods. Tirzepatide for Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I started taking this medication for weight loss. My first round of the 4 injections was 2.5 mg, and it had no negative side effects at all. I just had no appetite. I lost 10 lbs within that 4 weeks. I then moved up to the 0.5 mg. The day after taking the first injection, nausea hit like a train. I never threw up but was just nauseous. I called my doctor, and she prescribed medication for the nausea which helped immensely. By the time I took my second injection, the nausea had gone away, and I had lost another 5 lbs. Tirzepatide "I started Mounjaro on July 1, 2022. I just turned 74 and was at the end of my rope with my obesity. I immediately developed a sour stomach/nausea and heartburn. But the wonderful side effect of having no appetite and not obsessing about food EVERY WAKING MOMENT was worth it. I still enjoy food, just eat less than half what I used to and no snacking. I lost 30 pounds in 2 months. I take one more injection (totally painless and easy to give) of 7.5 mg and then move up to 10 mg. My worst problem is terrible constipation. I’m working on it by using Colace, etc. but haven’t solved it completely. Since I’m on Medicare, I am paying THOUSANDS of dollars for this drug. So my savings account is decreasing but so is my weight. If I can afford it, I hope to stay on Mounjaro for one year. WEEK ONE - Super Nauseous, indigestion, stomach pain for 3-4 days of the first week. My appetite went from a 10 to a 2 (which was good). WEEK TWO - I had diarrhea for 3-4 days, along with sulfur belches, nausea, stomach pain. I ended up having to take sick days and go get an IV bag to recover from the dehydration. WEEK THREE - World-class nausea and vomiting. 3 days of vomiting so hard that I ruptured my esophagus. The entire month, if I was not having diarrhea, I was VERY constipated. I lost 9 lbs in one month, but I don't know if it was because I could barely eat due to the sickness. PASS!!"

In 2 months' time, I've lost 65 pounds. I started with the 2.5 mg, no side effects, moved to a 5 mg, had the suffer burps that folks are alluding to, but nothing else. Tirzepatide for Type 2 Diabetes "Horrible experience taking this drug. I do not recommend taking this medication unless you want to die. I started taking 2.5 mg 6 days ago. Day 2 and 3 had no appetite and ate very little because the thought of food made me sick. Day 4 and 5 developed nausea, severe abdominal pain, and indigestion unrelieved by antacids. Tirzepatide for Type 2 Diabetes "I’ve been taking 2.5 ml for 4 weeks and had few side effects apart from zero appetite, a little nausea, and a migraine (think the migraine was due to not eating). Now, week 5, increased to 5 ml and a different story: quite a lot of nausea, diarrhea, headache, and tiredness. Also again, total lack of appetite. Tirzepatide for Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I started on the 2.5 mg dose; after five weeks (first dose at the doctor's office, then four weeks on home supply); then I switched to the 5 mg dose. Side effects for the time from the initial dose through week two of the 5 mg dose were - weight loss of 4 lbs, decreased appetite (less interest in food and felt full after eating half of my previous consumption). Headaches, lethargy, tiredness, no appetite, and need to force food on myself. Low blood sugar on CGM Libre2. I can't eat enough to get myself back to 90. I keep pegging 70 because I can't eat and am sick to my stomach all the time. My sleep is interrupted, and I must lie down constantly. I feel like I want to sleep all the time. Yesterday, the fourth day, midafternoon, I started getting very cold. I'm never cold, and it’s summer, about 78 degrees outside. I don't have air conditioning. I got so cold that I had to take a hot shower. Then I had to turn on my electric blanket and lay in bed until I warmed up. I started to go back to normal temperature after an hour.
