Mounjaro (tirzepatide) "It has reduced my appetite by about 20 percent. I have lost 25 pounds in 10 months. I am still 40 pounds overweight. I am up to 10 mg dosage. Minimal side effects. It's a bit frustrating as I see others losing much more and much faster. It has helped but I still have a pretty hearty appetite. Minimal side effects."

Zepbound (tirzepatide) "I am 64, 5’2” tall and weighed 210 when I started Zepbound with 2.5 mg on January 15, 2024. I had no side effects with 2.5 and lost 12 pounds the first month. I went up to 5.0 ml and still no side effects but lost only 5 pounds that month. Went up to 7.5 and started having mild nausea, diarrhea, and indigestion. Lost another 10 pounds that month. I'm on week 2 of 10 ml. Side effects are much worse. I've lost a total of 35 pounds but in week two my stomach physically hurts, nausea is much worse and so is diarrhea. I think I will not be able to complete the next two doses on 10 ml so looking to drop down to 5.0 for maintenance and hopefully continued weight loss."

Mounjaro (tirzepatide) "Benefits: Completely stopped the food noise and cravings for fatty and sweet foods, decreased appetite within the first 2 days of injection. Injection not painful at all, tiny needle. Side effects: feelings of fatigue for 2 or 3 days after injection days, can feel very bloated due to constipation. Feelings of a lump in the throat due to some acid reflux. Sometimes feel more emotional than normal. Increased periods, 2 periods within 1 month, very heavy and prolonged, appetite increased slightly on last 2 days before next injection due. Can feel shaky/weak if not eating enough calories due to decreased appetite. 1st month of use experience on 2.5mg."

Zepbound (tirzepatide) "I have been taking Zepbound for about 3 months now and have lost 18 lbs. The experience has been mostly unpleasant. The gastric issues that accompany the medication are almost unbearable. The desire to eat did not go away, and I mostly did not eat because I was always so nauseated and experiencing acid reflux. Every day has been miserable. It did make you feel good but not in a satisfied way, just full like you ate way too much to the point of feeling sick. It feels great to have lost 18 lbs, but I will probably not continue the shots due to the gastric issues."

Mounjaro (tirzepatide) "After years of dealing with type 2 diabetes and taking metformin, I finally managed to get my numbers under control long enough to get off the daily meds and control my condition with a proper diet. At the age of 68, after about 15 years of being quite obese and discussing the matter with my doctor, I began using Mounjaro. I started with a low-dose weekly injection and in a few months worked my way up to the full recommended dosage of 15 MG/0.5ML per week. It's been less than a year and I have lost 110 lbs and feel fantastic with no noticeable side effects. Mounjaro was not the first medication I tried, but it was the first one to really give me results. I chuckle at other meds I hear jingles about on television commercials and have my own jingle that comes to mind for Mounjaro every time, and I can't get it out of my head."

Mounjaro (tirzepatide) "I've used Mounjaro for 2 weeks. I've lost 8 lbs. It's crazy how it completely takes your appetite away. You rarely think of food or hunger. You have to make yourself eat. When I eat I can only eat about 1/2 to 3/4 cup of food. It feels like that is all you can fit in your stomach. Side effects.. some insomnia, a lot stomach acid, nausea. But it has re-risen some panic attack issues and unfortunately some dark thoughts which may be the reason I stop taking it. For me this little experiment has shown me that my weight is indeed too many calories. I LOVE not thinking about food or feeling hungry but the psychological side effects may end my experience."

Zepbound (tirzepatide) "Since starting Zepbound 13 weeks ago to shed 60 pounds, I've gradually increased from 2.5 mg to 10 mg. It's effective, but sleepless nights have become my unwelcome companions, especially on the higher doses. Heartburn and that uncomfortable chest sensation are no picnic either. Despite dropping 30 pounds, I feel drained—fatigue, dizziness, and concentration issues plague me. To tackle these side effects, I'll either stick to 10 mg or drop to 7.5 mg. But with a $1,000 monthly price tag and the hassle of hunting down my prescription, quitting Zepbound crosses my mind. Yet, the thought of returning to the weight loss battle isn't enticing either. Swapping out heavy meals for light options like chicken and soups helps ease discomfort, but what I really crave is a solid night's sleep. I'm giving it one last shot, tweaking my diet and powering through my remaining doses before deciding—is it worth it?"

Zepbound (tirzepatide) "I started Zepbound about a week ago. Only had 1 injection, but for me personally, as soon as I did the injection, I immediately began to feel nauseated and dizzy for a good couple of hours, but then it subsided. I did have some anxiety about the side effects, and sometimes when I do have anxiety, I will feel nauseous and dizzy as well, so I really can’t tell if that was from the injection or anxiety. Either way, it stopped. Since then, I barely eat. I NEVER feel hungry at all, and when I do, I eat hardly a handful of something before I feel full and stop eating. I don’t know if that’s normal. I’m supposed to get 60 grams of protein a day. I drink 2 of those 30 grams of the Premier protein shakes, not my favorite, but it will do, and that keeps me feeling full for pretty much the ENTIRE day. I don’t snack at all anymore. Again, I’ve only had 1 injection but have noticed some immediate changes."

Mounjaro (tirzepatide) "Obesity runs on my father's side and my weight gain has been a lifelong struggle. I did my best but by reaching 275lbs at 50 years old I knew I needed something more than all the traditional weight loss programs. I began taking Mounjaro in Nov 2022. My doctor did a low dose to start (1.5 mg). I experienced the more common side effects, sulfurous belching, heartburn, constipation for a day or two after the weekly injection, stomach feeling sour, etc. I manage these symptoms with my doctor's OTC recommendations. We advanced to a 5.0 mg dose and I continue to experience these side effects but they are becoming more manageable. It's the end of April and I've lost 40 lbs so far. I have more energy, manage my diet better/easier, and make better eating choices. I have just begun to experience hair loss and after reading the other reviews feel better knowing it too will pass. Please know your reviews including side effects, successes, and thoughts have been a huge help. ~Thanks"

Zepbound (tirzepatide) "Started out great. Moved to 5.0 and had AWFUL vomiting on day 3 after injection. Dr. tried to move me back to 2.5 but Rx store was unable to get it. Went 5 weeks before it was restocked. Started 2.5 again with 0 effect. And I mean zero. Moved to 5.0 and the nausea is there, but so far, no vomiting. What concerns me is that I have suddenly been struggling with an elevated pulse and higher than normal BP. Wasn't an issue before, so not sure if it's related or incidental. May stop it because I just don't feel good. In addition over the 5 months of on and off again, I am down 4 pounds...and following a reasonable diet plan. Discouraged."

"I was over 210 lbs and miserable. I am only 5'4". I started first with a Dr. sample of the other one, which didn't work very well for me. I switched to Mounjaro, especially since I needed a total knee replacement. Mounjaro worked very well for me by decreasing my appetite and my penchant for candy. I am now 148 lbs and have one new knee! I am getting ready for the next knee surgery and using Zepbound to maintain my over 60 lbs weight loss. I had very little negative symptoms, mostly feeling 'hungry' which has a negative connotation, but is necessary to actually lose weight. I am 69 years old. I just wish it was covered by MC, as the price is not sustainable for me."

Mounjaro (tirzepatide) "Taking for obesity. Has reduced my appetite but not as dramatically as others here. I eat about 500 fewer calories per day than I used to, thanks to the reduction in appetite. I have lost 16 pounds in 18 weeks. The only side effect is constipation, but as long as I eat a salad and oatmeal daily, that is no longer a problem. Stats: Female, age 56, 5’1”. Starting weight 183. Current weight 167. Started on 2.5. Now on 7.5. Hoping to lose another 45 pounds."

Hopefully, I will lose all the weight I need. My back is in bad shape. My weight makes my back hurt worse. Now I can move around, walk longer, and stand longer thanks to Zepbound."

Mounjaro (tirzepatide) "Diet, exercise & 1,000 mg of Metformin twice per day has not improved the quality of my life. My disciplined efforts kept me in a pre-diabetes state & made me insulin resistant, worsening my other health conditions. To improve the quality of my life & afford access to a drug that might help control my glucose & worsening health issues, I sold my car & now pay approximately $1,000 per month out of pocket for Mounjaro. It has changed my life! No more blurry vision due to fluctuating glucose levels. My energy level is consistent. I’m able to start exercising, as well as participating in family activities. I’m slowly but steadily losing weight which I believe will improve other health issues such as high cholesterol, blood pressure, insulin resistance, beginning signs of neuropathy in legs, and exercise intolerance. The good news is that as a pre-diabetic, Mounjaro helps my body properly utilize glucose. Sadly, I can't continue due to the cost, but Mounjaro WORKS & gives back hope!"

Mounjaro (tirzepatide) "I am starting my 3rd month on Mounjaro. I have been overweight/obese most of my adult life. I have lost some weight but not as much as I expected. I feel terrible - I suffer with exhaustion, constipation, indigestion, depression, and nausea. I just do not feel good. It has sucked the joy out of my life. I used to exercise much more when I was not taking Mounjaro. I don't want to do anything. I am wondering if it is worth it?"

Mounjaro (tirzepatide) "I took my first injection on April 20 and the second injection on April 27. On April 20, I had shortness of breath which increased dramatically. Ended up in the hospital on April 22 for the day. Shortness of breath continued. Took another injection on April 27. That night I looked at my calendar and realized that I had done activities without shortness of breath the week of April 17, 18, and 19 with no problem. I took an injection at about 9 am on the 20th and was short of breath by 10:30 am that day. Endocrinologist says it takes 4-6 weeks to exit the body. My symptoms did NOT improve until the 4th week and then they have improved only slightly. I can't walk 40 ft without sitting down to catch my breath. Before the 4th week, it was 20 ft. Praying that at the end of 6 weeks, my breathing will return to normal. Also many instances of bp under 90/57. When this happens I am exhausted, have to drink 8-12 oz water, and lay down for at least an hour with feet elevated to get bp up to acceptable levels. No weight loss."

Mounjaro (tirzepatide) "Mounjaro has been a blessing to me. I'm a 70-year-old male who was previously obese, had high blood pressure, high cholesterol, and type 2 diabetes. I've had 2 heart attacks and received stents, as well as a knee replacement. I started with a low dose and quickly moved up to 10, then 15, over 6 months. I started at 290 pounds and now weigh 215. I'm 6'1" with wide shoulders and frame. I'm no longer obese. I've been on 12 medications and now down to 5. Metformin was just reduced at night due to low glucose alerts in the early hours on my CGM. Mounjaro has improved my life. It's easy to use and WORKS."

Mounjaro (tirzepatide) "In October 2022 I was pre-diabetic. My daughter had good luck with Mounjaro so I went to my doctor to ask her if it might work for me. I am a 65-year-old female. I am 5'2" tall and weighed 182 lbs and wear size 16. I started Mounjaro in the middle of October 2022. Today April 27, 2023, I weigh 122 lbs and wear a size 4. I am now just trying to maintain my weight. The side effect that I experienced was constipation as I would only have a bowel movement once a week. I rarely experience hunger and have to remind myself to eat. I do not crave sugar or any other food. I started on the 2.5 mg dosage for a couple of months and then went to the 5 mg dosage for two months. I have been on 7.5 mg for the last few months. I stopped my acid reflux medicine last month and have not experienced any acid reflux since I stopped it. I have so much more energy now and feel great. I would highly recommend Mounjaro it has changed my life."

Zepbound (tirzepatide) "Just under 5 months. Down 36 pounds from size 16 to a 12/14. Almost 50. 5'9'. F. Started at 2.5, of course. Currently on 10mg. The biggest issue for me has been finding the medication in stock. It makes me not think of food until I'm hungry and then I eat a little something. I stay full a long time. I can only assume this is what normal people without food issues are like. I have lost upwards of 100 pounds with very hard work over a period of 2-4 years at two different times in my life. I need help this time around. Even when I was doing well with diet and exercise prior to this medication being available, all I did is think about how many calories I had eaten and how many I had left. I don't even count calories now. I have almost no interest in eating. The day before my injection is due, I am more hungry but still not eating more than 1800c. No real side effects aside from constipation in the beginning. It's amazing."

Mounjaro (tirzepatide) "Done well losing weight but aware that I'm losing lots of lean muscle mass, not just fat. Lilly says in one clinical trial that 1/3 of the weight we lose is LMM, not fat. Might be more than this. I have a sense that the muscles in my legs are weak. A bit wobbly. They are very strong -- I can power walk for miles. I can do heavy weight-bearing exercises at the gym. But still some sense of weakness. Might it be a nerve issue, not a muscle issue? I am stocky. A tall friend of mine on Mounjaro had none of the feeling of weakness even though he lost 100 pounds. BTW, it's crucial to take a body scan before you start Mounjaro to assess your LMM and assess how much LMM you're losing."

Mounjaro (tirzepatide) "Been on Mounjaro since 9/11/22. Today is 3/4/23. I have lost close to 60 lbs and went from a pant size 46 down to 40. Wife says I “lost my tire” looking at me from behind. Started at 2.5 dose. Was dizzy and unsteady in the early days. Headache and nausea till my body acclimated. Switched my shot day to Friday night so if I’m not feeling great it’s the weekend and not impacting work. Worked up to 5.0 then 7.5. Did each for 8 weeks instead of 4 to level off the side effects. Wanted to stay at that level but no one can get it. Took my first 10.0 shot last night. So far so good. All my levels are great. Sulfur burps if I overeat. Am also doing herbal life shakes 2 times a day and having a sensible dinner. I still snack after dinner but nothing crazy. Exercise 5/6 times per week. I think 7.5 should be my maintenance dose but again, no one can get it. Will trade the mild side effects for being able to fit into my clothes."

"I've been taking Tirzepatide for a couple of weeks so far, down 8 lbs. Zero side effects. Here are three things I make sure to do to ensure I don't have any side effects: fast for at least 16 hours before injection day, fast for an hour or two after injection, and drink 'Smooth Move' tea every night, which keeps the bowel movements regular. When I eat, I ensure I have protein-based foods. Since I can't eat much, I eat the protein first and then some of any sides (this was my doctor's advice, and it's 100% sound). Obesity is a beast; for me, it manifested in super-fast digestion (not fast metabolism) and constant hunger. I felt tortured eating less food as my body and brain always told me that I needed more. Three bowls of cereal weren't enough. Two plates of dinner were never enough. It was a constant battle to tell my body that it's not hungry. Now I know my body PERFECTLY well and better on less food. I'm never hungry on this drug; I eat one yogurt at 1 pm and a very small dinner."

Zepbound (tirzepatide) "5'4 female. Was 254, but lost weight by working out and came down to 234, which was not good enough. Started Zepbound 2.5 which was extremely hard for me to find. Had to wait months before I found a pharmacy that had it. I just took my second shot. No side effects (so far, knock on wood). I did weigh myself 2 days after I started taking it and lost 5lbs so now 229lb. But I think it's from working out, not Zepbound. I work out almost 7 days a week, maybe take 1 day off. I do 2-2.5 miles on weekdays & 3-4 on weekends. So I am hoping to lose more weight faster. But so far so good. I read so many reviews! I am just praying that getting my 5ml in 2 weeks won't be an issue. The needle is not painful and it is super easy to use! The spot I place the shot in is a little tender afterwards with a slight amount of blood after injection. I will weigh myself again maybe tomorrow after a week of taking it! I have zero desire to eat and don't eat much, so I have smaller meals."

Zepbound (tirzepatide) "I’ve used Zepbound for almost 5 months & have lost 15 lbs. I experienced diarrhea at the beginning but much less now. What I didn’t expect was that my bladder issues like leaking, etc. would stop. It has been amazing! I went from needing valve & bladder surgeries to complete stoppage. I hope this info will help other women with their urology issues. Even if I never lost another pound, if another Zepbound side effect helps my bladder, I’m in!!"
