Wegovy (semaglutide) "At this time, I’m on my 5th week of the maintenance dose. The only side effect I’ve had is occasional constipation, but as a 25-year medical professional, I know how to deal with it medically and in conjunction with my VA doctor and pharmacist. At times, I would get hypoglycemic, but again I knew how to combat that. At this dose, I find myself somewhat more fatigued but I can deal with that. Cat naps usually do the trick. I started at 393 and 6’3”. I’m 56 years old. I’m down to 349 since I started, which for me is great. I have critical low testosterone and can’t take testosterone due to my history of pulmonary embolisms. So, I don’t mind losing only 2 pounds a week. I can now walk so much better and farther. I’m 95% VA disability rated, and I’ll tell you, I feel and look so much better after starting to use Wegovy. The VA truly cares for us veterans no matter what you hear. Stay blessed and hang in there."

Wegovy (semaglutide) "So far so good! Only on the 3rd day on it, but I'm loving it. On .25 mg dose to start. I'm female, 5'4, 215 lbs and I'm looking to drop about 40 lbs with it. Very mild stomach discomfort here and there but it's barely noticeable the vast majority of the time. When I first injected I felt that my heartbeat got quicker for a little bit but it subsided in an hour or 2. I don't crave junk food anymore. I feel like I'm always full and I have an increased desire for whole foods. I'm not going to increase my dose until I feel the beneficial effects subsiding, I'm taking it very slow to avoid side effects. Will check back in after a month or 2, I'm very optimistic! :)"

Wegovy (semaglutide) "I'm on 2.4 now. Started yesterday and still have pretty bad nausea. It's the worst it's been. Before, it was quite negligible or non-existent. So far, I've lost 21 lbs in 4 months. I was 216, now 195 and I am 5'4'. I still have a long way to go. I started working out and started a vegan diet in January to improve my cholesterol. I know it's tough. I have read so much about it and my expectations were high, like all I need to do is take this injection and the weight will fall off! This will fix all of my problems! I'll find true happiness! But...that's not the case for most people, including me. My provider said that some of her patients have seen no results. She said a 20 lb weight loss is right on track for me and more sustainable than the amazing results some are seeing (though everyone is different). Remember: we are more than our weight. And there is no one answer. If you are taking this and it's not working, it's not you."

Wegovy (semaglutide) "In August, my doctor prescribed me Wegovy 0.25. It was out of stock, so I started with Saxenda. I took it for 1 month and lost 13 lbs. When it was time to refill, Saxenda was out of stock, so my doctor switched me to Wegovy 1.7. Since I didn’t have any side effects and that is what was available. Since 8/9/23, when I started my weight loss journey, I have now lost a total of 40 lbs. The medication does work. The only problem is it staying in stock. I can now fit into clothes I wore pre-pandemic. My BMI went from 36 to now 28.7. The only side effect is some stomach cramping, but I realized I needed to drink more water and force myself to eat something even though I am not hungry. Hope this is helpful."

Ozempic (semaglutide) "I'm a 38-year-old man with type 2 diabetes and overweight. I was on metformin for three years and followed a good diet and exercise regime, but I couldn't lose weight. Although my blood sugars were perfect on metformin, weight was my issue. My doctor prescribed me Ozempic 0.25 mg, and I was very worried about the side effects. However, I started it recently anyway and injected it in the upper thigh once weekly. I had no issues other than constipation, which I overcame with laxatives and increased water intake. My appetite was reduced by 90%. I used to overeat, but now I can only manage two small meals a day. It's really working so far, but it's still early days. I'm in Ireland, and it costs €150 a month for four injections, which are covered by my medical card. I'll provide an updated review in three months to report how it has helped me lose weight on the scales."

Wegovy (semaglutide) "I have lost 65 lbs in 10 months using Wegovy. I have had no side effects. I do want to know what to do when you hit a plateau. I would and have recommended this medication to my family and friends. I’m on the highest dose of 2.4. Taking injections is quick and easy."

Wegovy (semaglutide) "I was started on Wegovy because my metabolism came to a crashing halt. No matter how healthy I ate, I kept gaining and retaining water weight. I was 478 pounds when I started in April 2023 and have lost 85 pounds in 7 months. My goal is another 100 pounds, but I've noticed that the weight loss slows down on certain weeks and increases other weeks. I've been on 2.4 mg for about 5 months and haven't experienced many of the side effects that have been known to occur. The worst was the upset stomach and the body cleansing itself the first couple of weeks. I am now wearing clothes that I have not been able to fit into for almost 4 years. Wegovy may not be for everyone, but it has been a game changer for me!"

Wegovy (semaglutide) "My goal at the start was to lose 2 stone. I started with the 0.25 dose on 20 December. Negligible side effects - very minor nausea, that's all. Already lost a stone between 20 December - 20 January. That is despite the Christmas season. On the first few days after injection, I almost can't look at food or wine, and really only eat to survive. Not at all possible to even contemplate drinking wine or beer. This wanes towards the 5th or 6th day after injection. I'm now on the 1.0 dose and will probably stay on this for a couple more months as I'm close to my end goal - can't believe how effective Wegovy has been. The challenge will be maintaining the weight loss after Wegovy, as I don't intend to be on this for the rest of my life. What's worked for me: I keep active and walk a few miles a few times a week, drink lots of water, aim to eat in small amounts throughout the day rather than two or three large meals, eat lots of vegetables and nuts rather than heavy meals."

Wegovy (semaglutide) "So far so good. I'm only on week 2, but am down 10 pounds with a combination of exercise and a 1200 cal/day diet. The symptoms I've had so far are tiredness, constipation, and some hair falling out (Dr. will be checking my vitamin levels to make sure I don't need supplements with the new diet). It definitely curbs my appetite, which is huge with my diet essentially cut in half. I am looking forward to seeing sustained results."

Wegovy (semaglutide) "I had my second 0.25 shot 2 days ago. My appetite is definitely less and I am able to stay on my 1200 calorie lower carb diet without the hunger that haunted me before Wegovy. I also take a multivitamin once daily. I have lost about 7 lbs. I have been constipated but nowhere near the amount that opioids do. I do chart my food intake and sip fluids throughout the day. Exercise three days a week. So far so good."

Ozempic (semaglutide) "Started taking this medication a year or so ago. I haven't had any side effects, only positive ones! I started it due to struggling with my weight even with working out constantly and also being prediabetic. I have a history of graves' disease and did an ablation on it with radioactive iodine so it's nonexistent now. For a while now I had a major problem with one-foot swelling with no help from any medicine. After taking Ozempic I saw a dramatic decrease almost immediately and it hasn't swollen up since starting Ozempic. I have also lost more than 50 lbs since starting. Truly thankful for this medication and its positive effects on my health."

Wegovy (semaglutide) "I have been on Wegovy for about 8 months. My weight has dropped about 40 lbs. In the beginning, I did have upset stomach on occasion and found there are a few things I could not eat or drink anymore, but my blood pressure is a lot better. I feel good about myself. I don't need to lose any more weight. I am walking a mile a day, using my weights every morning, and I don't drink much alcohol anymore, not that I am saying I was an over drinker, but because of the calories and some of it doesn't taste good anymore. It has helped me eat better, rethink about how much I eat, and be healthier. My old clothes that didn't fit are now fitting, and I have a whole new wardrobe to go through."

Wegovy (semaglutide) "I'm a male, 52, 5'7, 234 lbs, and 40-inch waist. I have been on Wegovy for 5 months now. It has been very easy to give myself the shot once a week, and I barely even feel it. I have dropped to 185 lbs, with a 32-inch waist. Started with 0.5 mg and now on 1.7 mg. I have no side effects except for some heartburn. From day one, my appetite has slowly gone down. I eat less than 1500 calories a day and exercise daily at the gym for 45 minutes. Wegovy is absolutely wonderful and has changed my life forever. Also, my A1C was always over 6.0, and now it's 5.3, still going down. I will stay on Wegovy for the rest of my life. This has been a life changer for me!"

Wegovy (semaglutide) "I lost 75 lbs on Wegovy. It wasn't worth it. People assume I have all this energy now. I feel like a shell of my former self. Run down, no appetite...and just got back from the hospital, since I didn't have a bowel movement for almost 2 weeks once I was at the 2.4 dose. I can't recommend this drug. You will essentially give up your normal life to lose weight. To me, the benefits don't outweigh the risks."

Ozempic (semaglutide) "This drug affects everyone differently, but for me, the side effects were too bad, and I had to stop after 2 weeks. It totally worked by killing my appetite and making me feel full, and after the first week, there were days I didn't even want to eat at all. I lost about 8 pounds in two weeks, which is great. However, during the 2nd week, I got the worst upset stomach of my life and almost went to the ER. I had intense diarrhea for an entire day, along with nausea, the chills, a swollen stomach, and then sweating. I had to take a sick day from work because I was also dizzy, and my heart was racing. It finally subsided about a day and a half, but it scared me so badly that I stopped taking the drug. Now I understand why it has a black box warning. I'm happy for the people who can use this without bad side effects. For me, I have a young child and demanding job. I can't go around with symptoms of food poisoning and try to act like I’m ok."

Wegovy (semaglutide) "Started Wegovy in March 2022 with a goal of losing 50-75 pounds. I ended up losing a total of 85 pounds in about 11 months. I felt great upon taking the Wegovy. Only had mild headaches and mild stomach discomfort. I was not tired, actually felt energized. However, by December the nausea had reared its ugly head. I took Zofran and it helped. I was able to stick it out with the nausea until February at which time I stopped taking it. I could no longer live with the nausea. Since I stopped taking it, I have continued to suffer nausea, vomiting, and stomach pain. My doctor and I are still trying to find the source of this continuing issue. I love the weight loss and I love Wegovy!"

Ozempic (semaglutide) "With just one 0.25 mg dose I became very ill. Relentless nausea, vomiting, and explosive diarrhea as well as unbearable stomach cramps. Needed to go to the ER for fluids and to check for pancreatitis. It’s now been 9 days since my first dose and I still have relentless diarrhea, nausea, and disabling fatigue. I don’t want to eat. I didn’t want to take it in the first place but was ambushed by my kidney doctor. She told me that using Ozempic was a no-brainer and that I would just have a bit of nausea. If you have any gastrointestinal symptoms when taking any medicine, I would think three times about it before using it. I have read it can take up to a month for it to be flushed out of your body but I am hoping and praying that these horrible side effects stop real soon."

Ozempic (semaglutide) "After 1 year of taking this, I began suffering from severe abdominal pain. A couple of months later, while watching TV, I heard an Ozempic commercial that included warnings about gallbladder problems and pancreatitis. I immediately stopped using it and went to my doctor. I had to have my gallbladder removed. I gained the 50 pounds back that I had lost the previous year. Although it was effective, it was not worth the side effects."

I do not plan to continue. No pain, no gain. I’ll get my loss the old-fashioned way with proper diet and exercise. Never again want to feel this way on Ozempic."

I only have one problem, I can no longer get Wegovy in my needed dosage of 0.25 mg. I will patiently wait for the manufacture of Wegovy to catch up to the demand for their product because it works that well for me. Thank you for creating a product that has worked as advertised."

Now I just focus on eating healthy and much less. I'm a 60-year-old man, started at 293 lbs. Tuesday, before the shot, I weighed 283. I feel better when I drink water, which I drink at least 10 bottles a day. Eat more fruit and veggies."

Wegovy (semaglutide) "I started Wegovy Jan. 2022. I didn’t feel much effect for two months, although I lost a few pounds. Starting the third month it kicked in. The weight loss isn’t fast, about 4 to 6 lbs a month, which I feel is healthy. I’ve lost 27 pounds. Like others, I had some queasiness especially in the first few months, but it was quickly resolved with Zofran and has mostly disappeared. I now feel full after smaller portions than before and notice I eat about half as much as previously and feel perfectly satisfied. I’ve read that you tend to gain weight back if you go off the drug and that many doctors feel you should be on it forever, as with other chronic conditions. I hope that’s not the case, as I don’t like the idea of being on any drug forever. In fact I’m hoping I can also go off blood pressure meds eventually. My goal is to lose another 30 lbs which now feels entirely do-able. My excellent insurance covers it at $25 a month."

Wegovy (semaglutide) "Started taking Wegovy. First month, 0.25 dose. After injection, started with nausea and vomiting. As the week went on, it eased. 2nd and 3rd week were pretty much the same. 4th week had 2 days where I was really ill - vomiting, diarrhea, pains in the tummy. Finally, it went away. In the first 4 weeks, I lost 16lbs. Now on my first week of 0.50 dose, took the first dose of 0.50 as usual. The day after the injection, I got some sickness (vomiting), though it stopped pretty quickly. I guess my body is starting to adjust. It's not an easy journey, but the food I can eat is a lot less - smaller meals, high protein. The tiredness I find difficult. I would say, take supplements like B12 and a multivitamin, and drink plenty of water. This is by no means a quick or easy fix. Some days, it's hard, especially if you get the nausea, vomiting, and tiredness. But the weight loss is steady, so for now, my journey continues. It greatly reduces your appetite and the amount of food, but be warned, if you overeat, there are some nasty side effects."

Wegovy (semaglutide) "I'm in my 9th week, now at 1 mg. I learned very quickly to eat small portions and slowly because I would feel way too full if I tried eating as much as I used to. I tried a couple of weeks ago to eat a whole Popeye's chicken sandwich for lunch. I felt nauseous all day afterward. Half a sandwich is enough. I'm down 10%+ of my weight already. It is very easy. I am just not hungry. The hard part is changing how much to put on my plate. Now that I'm used to taking less, I'm totally fine and don't even think about hunger, cravings, anything. Wow. So happy."
