For Birth Control "Vienva was the first form of birth control I have ever taken and I honestly loved it. It gave me minimal side affects, just a little bit of weight gain and very tiny breakouts around my chin, nothing too bad. Overall I've been having unprotected sex since the second week I was on it and never had a pregnancy scare!"

For Birth Control "Started taking birth control 6 years ago. Originally started with a different brand but I've been taking Vienva for a couple years now and haven't had a problem. My periods have gotten lighter and lighter as expected with taking any birth control for long periods of time. I think you have to consider that any birth control might give you typical side effects, mood swings, bloating, acne, head aches, etc. It just depends on how YOUR body reacts. I felt more side effects when I was on the first brand I tried and actually prefer Vienva. Everyone's different. Don't hesitate to try something. If it doesn't work out you can always switch."

For Birth Control "DO NOT TAKE THIS MEDICATION. I recently switched to this pill after my period got off track from my last pill. 3 weeks into taking it, I started getting EXTREME anxiety. Something I’d never experienced before. It cause issues in my relationship because I was trying to hide them. I thought I was going crazy and couldn’t hide them anymore. I was crying all the time for no reason, feeling scared, and nervous. It wasn’t until my friends told me to research the new pill that I realized I wasn’t just randomly going crazy. Lots of people experience the same feelings. I don’t wish this level of anxiety on anyone. I’m stopping the pill and hoping it doesn’t take long to return to normal."

For Birth Control "I started this birth control 3 months ago. Apart from migraines here and there and some discomfort with sexual intercourse at times, this birth control has done wonders for me! I don’t have any nausea or vomiting plus my period cramps have vanished which is great. I was terrified of the previous reviews but it all depends on the person. I am 20 and this is my first time ever on birth control so I’m amazed!"

For Birth Control "This is the worst birth control I've ever taken. I had the worst break through bleeding and I gained a few pounds while only on a few weeks. I also felt really bloated the whole time and felt really insecure about my body the whole time. I'm switching back to the birth control I was on before this."

For Birth Control "This was my first birth control experience, I’m 40 and just wanted a low dose BC that would help with ovulation and PMS symptoms. I lasted 10 days. Although it did keep me from experiencing another ovarian cyst during ovulation, I had horrible migraines from day 3, numbness in the left side of my face, immediate weight gain (5lbs in a week) and a bit of night time anxiety. My doctor switched me today and I’ll start the mini pill tonight. If you struggle with anxiety, headaches or are sensitive to estrogen this pill may not be a good fit."

"I was advised to get on birth control to help prevent the growth of ovarian cysts after a trip to the emergency room for a rupture. This pill is a nightmare! My anxiety has increased so drastically that I’m struggling worse than normal to accomplish tasks. This is worse than normal anxiety- I have chest pain and legitimate fears over things I usually cherish. My primary concern is awareness of my anxiety. The doctor pushed me to use this pill even though I asked for other choices. I don’t know what partnership Vienva has with my doctors but it seems toxic."

For Birth Control "DO NOT RECOMMEND AT ALL! Gave me horrible mood swings, constantly crying, and I began to hate my body. I am usually very confident and love my body, but I gained weight and feel bloated all the time. Not a good experience at all."

For Birth Control "I didn’t have any issues with this birth control. It was the first one I was put on so I don’t have many to compare it to, but overall I never had an issue with it. It made my periods a lot shorter and lighter (from 7 days and extreme pain to 4 days and moderate pain.) I did gain a bit of weight and it didn’t help with my acne too much, but I was mostly looking for something to help my periods which it did. I just recently switched due to manufacturing issues but hopefully it comes back!"

For Birth Control "I've been taking Vienva for almost a year now. It's the first birth control I have tried and luckily have not had any awful side effects. I totally understand it not working for other people though. I love that I can take it to skip my periods. The breakthrough bleeding every few months hasn't been so bad either."

For Birth Control "I took this medicine to help ease some of my menstrual pain and make my periods more regular. It has cut my menstrual pains and cramps down to about 10% of what they were, and I can CHOOSE when to get my period or not to get it at all. How awesome is that? I have experienced zero negative side effects. My quality of life has improved so much."

For Birth Control "Okay, so I’ve been on the pill for about 6 months. I don’t know if it’s breakthrough bleeding but ever since the week BEFORE Christmas... I am STILL on my period, at first it was light but ever since then, I’ve had my light period but it’s heavy at the same time, it’s uncomfortable because it’s now February and I still have my period and I feel like it’s gotten heavier. I never has any side effects, I mean lately my mood had been different, but I think it’s because I’ve started drinking water, I’ve been working out more and lately I have been stressed, so I think it’s just a MIXTURE of a lot of subjects because. When I first started, I was doing fine, no cramps at all, light bleeding WHEN I got my period, no headaches. When I started my pill I do remember being at work and feeling very very nausea, but that was a random day, then it stopped. I knew it was because the pill. Best part is no cramps."

For Birth Control "I first started taking Vienva back in May, as I was having really bad cramping with my periods and decided to go back on birth control. I will say, that it has helped a lot with cramping and same with acne. However, this month I have had SO much breakthrough bleeding that it’s been the most annoying thing ever. Today I woke up and essentially have my period, AGAIN. I am only 4 days into my new pack of pills too, and was supposed to have my period last week. Which I did, but it was so light like it has been since I started. But today I had to use a super tampon! I don’t know what’s going on, but hopefully it’s a fluke and it will be normal again next month. If not, I’ll be switching for sure."

For Birth Control "I took Vienva for about 7 months until my pharmacy changed brands and I couldn’t get Vienva anymore. At the beginning I felt very sad and depressed all the time, nothing would make me happy and excited anymore. After about 3 or 4 months things started to go back to normal. I noticed that I gained some weight after about 4 or 5 months of being on Vienva but I’m not sure if it’s the birth control or if it’s just that I have been home so much (because of coronavirus) and haven’t exercised as much. I didn’t notice any other side effects like other people do."

For Birth Control "When I first started taking Vienva (Generic of Aviane, Orsythia, Lutera) I could instantly feel my mood change. I've become very moody/irritable and its made my anxiety much worse. Now three months in, I've been bleeding for 12 days straight and haven't gotten a goodnights sleep in weeks."

For Birth Control "HORRIBLE experience. I'm surprised this BC is on the market because it almost ruined my life. While on it, I was depressed, irritable, and bursts of anger as well as hair thinning, loss of appetite (I'm already thin), and acne. I could not figure out why I had basically no will to live or motivation to do anything and getting extremely irritable to not only my friends, boyfriend, but coworkers as well. I'm normally a very calm/collected person but this pill made me feel like I had no control over my life. AVOID!!"

For Birth Control "I took it for about 2 1/2 months. I became depressed and anxious. I was anxious before and Vienva made it worse. My body ached from it, too. The pain increasingly got worse until I finally stopped taking it. My chest also hurt. It seemed to have a negative affect on my breathing and circulation. I got a heavy period the day after I stopped taking it. It was very heavy and both my back and stomached ached. While taking it, I hardly had any cramps or PMS symptoms before periods. That was one plus side. Overall, I would not recommend. It is a poor quality birth control. If your body can take it, then great, but if you want to feel good and normal do not take it."

For Birth Control "I started taking Vienva almost 3 weeks ago. Ever since I started I have felt miserable and nauseous all the time. I took some medicine hopping it would go away but it never did. After tonight I am done taking it. It made me very sick. I definitely should have done more research before starting. Please take at your own risk."

For Birth Control "I've been on the pill for 2 years and the brand I used gets switched pretty often, but I haven't had any trouble with any other brands except this Vienva brand. Its the worst brand I have ever used. I never cry yet ever but since I started taking Vienva I break out crying for no reason, I'm also bloated all the time and I get stomach pains. I do NOT recommend this brand of birth control."

For Birth Control "I am 20 years old, 21 in a few days and let me just say that every body is different and everyone reacts to drugs differently. Don't let the reviews scare you because when I first started these reviews gave me so much anxiety, but I honestly had barely any issues with Vienva other than sore boobs and extensive breakthrough bleeding that I can just stop by taking placebos. The breakthrough bleeding is super light as well and barely even there. It gets annoying at times but that is the only issue I have. No anxiety, no headaches, but every body is different and this might not be for you!"

For Birth Control "I do not recommend this drug. My original birth control drug stopped being produced so I got switched to Vienva. I was on this drug for a short period of time and I was feeling depressed, anxious, felt sick to my stomach, cried at the smallest things and overall my whole body ached."

For Birth Control "Worst pill ever! I mean it! Please make sure you consult with your primary care before starting so they can go over your health history as well. I switched to this pill and have been having severe migraines for two weeks now. I’m also more anxious than before and irritable (my poor boyfriend). I stopped taking this pill and have had the best two days in the last 2 weeks!"

For Birth Control "This is the worst birth control ever. I’m only a week and a half into this and have never felt this depressed and was wondering what was wrong with me. This pill, it makes me want to not take any type of bc ever again. I’ve been feeling so off these past few days and don’t even feel like myself."

For Birth Control "Vienva negatively affected my health both physically and mentally. Within two weeks of taking Vienva, I began bleeding constantly, like a mild period that got extremely heavy during the time of my expected period. I also experienced extreme fatigue, migraines and mood swings. A couple of weeks into taking Vienva I became depressed, which continued to worsen until I felt suicidal by three months. At this point my husband intervened and strongly suggested I consider switching to a different birth control method. I have been off of Vienva for two months now, and all of my symptoms have completely subsided--including the depression."
