For Eczema "I have been taking Dupixent for about 5 months for eczema. It's a wonder drug. No more itching. But I'm having some serious joint pain in both shoulders. I hear a lot of grinding and popping. I'm 73 and have a lot of arthritis. I think this might be a side effect. How long do you have to be off of Dupixent before the side effects begin to subside? Do the side effects go away at all?"

For Atopic Dermatitis "I was on Dupixent for one year, and at the beginning, I had itchy, red, very dry eyes. Then I later developed extreme joint pain in my knees and ankles, but I cleared up my skin. It looked great for a year until I realized my aches and pains were due to the Dupixent. Also, weight gain. I got off of it, and now my rashes are starting to come back, but it's just not worth the side effects that Dupixent gave me. I'm not willing to go back on Dupixent."

For Atopic Dermatitis "I was diagnosed about 15 years ago with prurigo nodularis. My current dermatologist labels it as atopic dermatitis. I started using Dupixent in April, after a month, I saw significant results. Enough to stop using Prednisone. Though the injections are painful and leave me with an onsite reaction for almost a week with each injection, I endured it because my itching had stopped. Seven months later, I'm having spots appear, and I am getting itchy again. I will speak to my dermatologist next month about stopping treatment. I also have joint pain all over my body, which may or may not be caused by Dupixent."

For Atopic Dermatitis "I suffer from atopic dermatitis and was on Dupixent for 7 months with no change. It calmed down the itching some, and that's all. 4 months into taking the injections, my joints started to hurt and continued to get worse. The Dr. stopped the Dupixent, and my joints began to feel a little better. So I still suffer from AD with no medicine that helps. Glad for those that it does help."

For Atopic Dermatitis "Had AD since birth (youngest of nine and we all had it). We used to sleep with red bags wrapped around our feet and hands to force the steroid salves into our skin. Day after day, we would go to school with torn-up sheets as bandages on our fingers. Kids never wanted to sit next to me because they thought it was 'catchy.' I’ve been on Dupixent for a year. I do not have a single bloody crack on my hands. My skin is smooth and soft. Even my nails have straightened out. The bad news is that I have severe joint pain. Trying to manage it with Tylenol. Not giving up. Not ever going back to AD. Thank you for giving me life without pain, burning, itching, and embarrassment."

For Atopic Dermatitis "The worst medicine ever! Do not take. I now have dry eyes and severe joint pain. Stiffness and swelling of the hands. The most at night. The pain is now throughout my body. I am young and active, and this medicine has slowed me down."

For Eczema "I'm in Australia and commenced the treatment in September 2022, two injections to begin with and then one a fortnight. The results were fabulous and almost immediate. My skin was better than it had ever been, and even my hands, which have always had eczema, cleared up. The injections were painful, and there was no way I could've done it myself, so a nurse from the clinic did it. However, after two months (6 injections), I started noticing joint pains in my knees, elbows, and fingers, plus my eyesight was deteriorating. I consulted with an optometrist before starting the treatment and saw him immediately after ceasing it. His opinion was that the acceleration of my cataracts was abnormal, and he attributed this to the Dupilumab injections. In collaboration with my dermatologist, I immediately stopped the treatment, and it is now two months on. The joint pain has gone, but my eyesight is still the same, and my skin is starting to regress slowly."

For Eczema "1) Take only if you have a real medical team: 2) Joint pain - severe 3) Rash - severe 4) No check-in for parasites (you must have a team) not what most of us get in the USA's medical system 5) You need to study up on normal means of relating to the pathology: diet, exercise, use of hot springs, sauna, steam room, tea tree oil, Skin SMART, saline solution, use of chlorine, more -- but again you need a medical team, not one person paid out of pocket or things like that."

For Eczema "I started Dupixent 6 months ago for severe eczema covering my whole body and bad asthma/nasal polyps. Four days after my loading dose, my hands started healing up, and in one month, my scalp cleared up, and my hair started to grow back. My asthma has only slightly improved, and my nasal polyps still remain, however, the improvement in my skin has been miraculous, and I can now use my hands again, have a warm shower without feeling on fire, and sleep without scratching chunks out from my skin. I do have a few eye issues and joint pain in my knees/ankles, however, they are only mild compared to how bad my skin was before. I had no quality of life, and I can now go to the park and play with my kids without coming home covered in hives. I definitely recommend giving it a go if nothing else in the past has worked. I was on so many antihistamines, strong steroids, and creams that barely took the edge off, and now I only need eye drops and moisturizer."

For Eczema "Absolutely was a miracle cure for my eczema and helped with asthma management also! Sadly, I developed unbearable joint pain and even tendinitis in my arm and hip, which has led to ultrasound-guided steroid injections and now, possibly surgical repair."

For Asthma, Maintenance "Dupixent has changed my life!!! I’m able to actually take deep breaths again. Before starting Dupixent, I was practically living on steroids and, more often than not, had coughing that caused bruised ribs. I have been giving myself an injection every two weeks and haven’t noticed any side effects except for diarrhea, but I’ve had serious stomach surgery and have a “rebuilt” stomach now. I had some joint pain that lasted several weeks, but it went away. I strongly suggest trying Dupixent. I am now completely OFF all steroids and OFF all four inhalers."

For Eczema "I had eczema my entire life. In high school, I went on oral steroids and have been using steroid creams, on and off oral steroids, and everything else you can possibly think of. I was in my late 30s and pregnant with my 3rd child, and I had eczema all over my body. Head to toe itching all day and all night. My doctors tried to help me. Then Dupixent! Every time I see my family doctor, he smiles and is amazed at how great my skin looks! It is absolutely amazing. I give it a 9/10!! The only reason I give it a 9 and not a 10 is because it burns really, really bad! Also, after I have been on it for a bit, I started to wake up with increased joint pain. Which I already had, but it was a little more than usual. I started reading that more studies show that this was a side effect not reported in initial studies. I'm still on it, and it is a miracle! Thanks, Dupixent!"

For COPD "My doctor gave me an injection of Dupixent after telling me about it being released for persons with my condition of COPD. I agreed to try it out, and he brought a sample that he had in his office and injected it in my left arm. It worked wonders, and I just loved it. After the first two weeks, I went back to his office, and he did not have any other samples, so he injected me with another medicine that he had, which name I do not recall. It did not work as my initial dose. The same happened on two other occasions, so he prescribed Dupixent, which was approved by Humana for me. After beginning to inject Dupixent, I have not had the same experience again with the other three injections I have had. Today, I received two more, which I will keep using to see if they really work for me. My main issue has been extreme fatigue and joint pain in my legs and shoulders. Hope my next one next Tuesday will work. If those do not work as the first one, I will have to end their use."

For Eczema "My first few doses were helping a lot, taking the itch away and clearing my skin. My 4th dose made my eyes very red, my dermatologist referred me to an ophthalmologist to check the pressure in my eyes. Pressure was okay, only some inflammation in the whites of my eyes. So I continued the Dupixent injections, red eyes and all, then I started getting small, red, pimple-like spots on my face along with redness. When my joints started aching after the 6th dose, I stopped Dupixent. It has been approximately 2 months, and the redness on my face is finally going away, my eyes cleared right after stopping Dupixent. I seem to think the dose was too strong for me. But there’s only 1 strength. I’m still itching and having breakouts and don’t know what to do at this point as nothing seems to work."
