For Eczema "Have had eczema my whole life. Really got worse and could not get clear for about 3 years. Was prescribed Dupixent and got relief. After about 6 months, began having problems with my eyes. Was treated for conjunctivitis and dry eyes. Had some relief, but symptoms kept occurring over a 6-month period, and my lips were also being affected, so I discontinued Dupixent. My eyes and lips were red and itching. Eye doctor diagnosed floppy eye syndrome. Dermatologist diagnosed eye mites. Was treated for both with little relief. Told to use Vaseline on my lips. Haven’t worn my contacts for over 3 months. Finally went to a teaching hospital and am being treated for fungus on my eyes and lips. I am now getting better after 4 days. I think that I may finally have the correct diagnosis. I am able to keep my eczema under control with topical creams now. The Dupixent helped in the beginning, but I feel that I was on it for way too long. I had also been getting small random rashes that have also gone away."

For Asthma, Maintenance "I had multiple severe side effects from the first dose two weeks ago. I got flu-like symptoms for 48 hours: hot flashes/sweating, headache, felt feverish, and felt quite fatigued. My heart was racing for over two days after the shots. I already suffer from recurrent UTIs, and right after the Dupixent, I got a terrible increase in bladder pain that I’m still suffering with. I have been extremely depressed because of the bladder pain and having to pee every half hour. I have a rash in the two spots where I was injected with Dupixent. My eyes were red and extremely dry and irritated the first two days after the shots; now they are slightly red and very dry and gritty. My asthma and allergies seemed to clear up right away but have returned less than two weeks after the shot. No way I’m taking this again."

For Atopic Dermatitis "37, male, Asian, suffered from atopic dermatitis for 20 yrs. I took Dupixent over 6 months and having trouble now. I felt my atopic problem went away for the first 2 months (I took 3 shots for the 1st month and 2 shots from the 2nd month). As noticed side effect, my eyes got dry and itchy, which is still bearable. What I think is a problem for now is the red skin syndrome. This started around the eyes and now spread under the neck-now to shoulder. The red spots make white skin flake and hurt when the flake is removed and look wrinkled. Now I'm considering stopping this medication and returning to other treatments."

For Eczema "Just an update. It has been almost 2 years since stopping Dupixent after becoming blind in my left eye. Still no improvement. Eyes still so dry that I cannot open them in the morning and have to wake up 3 times at night to use artificial tears. My lifestyle has been greatly impacted. I can manage, and that’s about it. I am pleading with those considering taking this dangerous (miracle) drug. Do your homework! The doctors I encountered were mostly in denial about possible severe side effects. They did not even want to address it when it happened. I was pretty much on my own. So beware. Have your ophthalmologist check you out before you begin treatment. Be informed! My life is very likely forever impacted simply because I was so desperate for eczema relief. I trusted my cavalier dermatologist. What a colossal mistake! Now I have multiple problems. Dupixant was covered by my insurance, however, now I am paying the price."

For Atopic Dermatitis "Started on Dupixent six weeks ago. Skin cleared up, itching was reduced 85%, big relief, but within two weeks after my first dose, my eyes started to bother me. Itching, swelling, redness, dry eye, conjunctivitis. Way too many adverse side effects. Med does good, but has alarming bad side effects to the eyes. Went to Dr., told me to stop taking shots."

For Eczema "I have had eczema most of my life. It went away when I was 8 but came back at 13. I suffered horribly for a couple of years. Over 50% of my body was covered in eczema and kept getting worse as I got older. Nothing worked. I started Dupixent in July 2019. At first, I experienced major dry eye and a couple of cold sores. These side effects only lasted a couple of months and then completely resolved. My eczema completely cleared up within 2 weeks of use. Unfortunately, as of late, rashes have been coming back. I have mild spots on my wrists, forearms, and shoulders, but lately, the rash has been absolutely brutal on my neck and jaws. I am hoping it is just the weather, but Dupixent should not be allowing this to happen at all. I still recommend this medication because it has resolved 80% of my issues. I plan on discontinuing the medication this summer just to see what happens, as I do not want to be on it forever— Overall, I have had a good experience with it."

For Eczema "Cleared up some eczema but caused more on my face and headaches for two straight days after I gave it to myself. The injection itself hurts really bad and burns. Gave me a yeast infection in my mouth, which apparently is a common side effect. My eyes are itchy, red, and dry! All in all, I hate it! And will never use it again."

For Eczema "Dupixent has honestly changed, and possibly saved, my life. I had eczema covering my hands for over a year, to the point where it was painful to touch anything or type on a keyboard (something required every day at my job). I had trouble cooking because to prep food, I often needed to wash it, which caused major pain on my hands. I was embarrassed to shake other people's hands. I was embarrassed to be in public. I tried every steroid cream, I tried diet changes, I saw multiple dermatologists. Getting approval for Dupixent was a bit of a hassle, but in the end, it turned my life around. I now have occasional small patches of eczema, but for the first time in my life I've had months where none of the skin on my hands is broken. It's miraculous, and I just pray that it continues to work! I've had some eye dryness and a cold sore or two as side effects, but the benefits far outweigh these effects."

For Atopic Dermatitis "The worst medicine ever! Do not take. I now have dry eyes and severe joint pain. Stiffness and swelling of the hands. The most at night. The pain is now throughout my body. I am young and active, and this medicine has slowed me down."

For Eczema "I have used everything under the sun to try to clear my eczema, and the only thing that worked was prednisone. I've been on Dupixent since August 31st, 2018, and at first, I noticed everything clear up. With the past 2 injections, every 2 weeks, I've been flaring up again but not so much on the face and scalp as I did in the past. I hope with more doses this clears up. I am itchy again too. And as everyone else, my eyes are also bothering me, but my doctor states that they are very dry and suggested some moisture drops. I hope it gets better soon. At the beginning, my skin felt so soft."

For Eczema "For a very expensive drug that I still had to pay over $800.00 a month for, this was a pure joke. First of all, injecting the injection stung like heck, so painful that I cried. Then later on, my skin became super itchy and very dry. This went on every day. My eyes became dry and itchy, and my vision became blurry that it was hard to see when driving. I finally got off it because I didn't see much difference in my skin after I started. This is not a cure, by the way. I'll wait until the new oral drug for eczema comes out, and I'll definitely try that one, but Dupixent just didn't help me one bit. Getting rid of the big box it came in with all the dry ice was a hassle too since you can't recycle boxes in my area, you have to cut them up into small pieces and bag them for the garbage men to dispose of. I won't miss that part one bit or having to recycle the used needles either each time and having to run to the post office to do it. Nope, not worth it!!!"

For Eczema "I started using Dupixent in November 2022 and initially administered the shots on my thighs, which were painful. However, the pain usually subsided within a minute or two. I later tried injecting it in my upper arm and noticed that it hurt less. During the first month, I experienced redness on my face, dry and itchy eyes, and severe pain in my lower back and thighs. My doctor prescribed eye drops, which significantly helped to alleviate the dryness and itchiness. Although the redness on my face has disappeared, the pain in my lower back continues, which is unusual as I never experienced such pain before starting the injection. After using Dupixent for almost 5 months, the itchiness has subsided by 80%, and I can now sleep peacefully at night. Additionally, my skin looks much better, and the eczema spots are gradually fading. Unlike steroids, Dupixent has not caused any weight gain or increased appetite. Overall, I am delighted with the positive results of Dupixent and regret not starting it earlier to spare myself from all the suffering."

"After seven months of taking Dupixent 300 mg SQ every two weeks, it seemed as though its effectiveness was waning. Have had two rounds of steroid tapers, last one in August with no results. Sputum production is copious. Started in 11/23. The side effects involving the eyes are most unpleasant, especially dry, itchy eyes. But the biggest concern is the copious amount of sputum production causing, obviously, shortness of breath and deconditioning as a result of decreased activity. Am ready to ask my physician to discontinue the Dupixent, as I feel that I have been a treatment failure."

For Atopic Dermatitis "Sudden onset of atopic dermatitis that did not respond to any topical product or prednisone was then treated with Dupixent. No incidence of eczema since beginning this treatment and has quieted other skin issues associated with inflammation (contact dermatitis). I can hardly express the relief that Dupixent has provided to me. It is easy to use, even with the discomfort of an injection. I inject Dupixent every other week. I have a possible side effect of dry eyes, but I take another medication that may be causing that."

For Asthma "Dupixent has been a miracle drug for me. I have been on it for four months now, and I noticed improvement within days after taking my first shot. My irritation and my coughing of my lungs and my throat just stopped. I was weaned off my daily steroids. I stopped taking my three breathing treatments a day. I am now down to just one inhaler a day. I also have a rescue inhaler that I have not had to use since I started Dupixent, and I was using my rescue inhaler multiple times a day. I have not had a flare-up or a bad lung infection since I started on Dupixent, and last year I had lung infections every couple of weeks. I was on antibiotics. I’ve had minimal mild side effects: just the dry eye and fatigue the day I take the shot and the day after. Other than that, no other side effects. This drug has changed my life!"

For Eczema "I have been using Dupixent for 8 months, and it has given me my life back. It is absolutely fantastic. I have been lucky enough to not suffer from any side effects except dry eyes. It has cleared up my skin more than I thought possible. I have been able to stop using steroids, which is again a plus. If you suffer from any type of severe dermatitis, try this drug!"

For Eczema "I’ve had eczema on my hands for almost 50 years, since I was 17 years old. Prednisone & steroid creams would temporarily make it barely manageable. Itched like crazy all the time. Dermatologist gave me the starter doses of Dupixent & it was a miracle. Started clearing up right away. Had 2 more doses, then started having severe dry eyes & eye pain. Within one week my one eye was all red & had severe eye pain. Went to eye doctor-ophthalmologist & I have peripheral ulcerative keratitis. Severe inflammation of the cornea of my eye. He said white blood cells are attacking my cornea, taking antibiotic drops & prednisone drops to get rid of the infection. I pray my eye will be ok. Stopped Dupixent immediately. So upset"
