For Bowel Preparation "Waste of time and money. I have very regular bowels and had to take both bottles, and didn't work. Scrambled at midnight to find a laxative since I would be charged by Dr. if I was unable to have the procedure! Has very low reviews overall on most websites."

For Bowel Preparation "Well, I shouldn't have read some of the reviews. I think it was the best prep. Wasn't bad at all. Took the first prep at 6 PM, and it started working an hour later, and I wasn't up all night. The second prep was at 5:30 AM. Everything went fine, and I had my colonoscopy at 10:20 AM. Don't be afraid to take this."

For Bowel Preparation "This was not my first colonoscopy, but my first time using Clenpiq. I followed a low-fiber, low-residue diet 2 days before prep. On prep day, I had fluids only. My first dose (split dose) was at 5 pm. I used a straw to drink straight from the bottle. It was not that bad. (Suprep was much worse and a larger quantity to consume). Then, I had to drink 40 oz. of liquid over a period of 5 hours. Very easy for me to do; I was done in 2.5 hrs. I had no ill effects after taking the Clenpiq, no headache, no chills, no nausea (I had all of these with Suprep). Clenpiq began 'working' in about 30 minutes. I was in and out of the bathroom 4 to 5 times between 5:30 pm and 9 pm. Tips: do use A&D ointment and wet wipes. Also, if you have hemorrhoids, use Witch Hazel or Tucks. I was 'done' by 11:00. Slept till 2 am and had my second dose at 2:30 am (basically a repeat). No issues with my colonoscopy. Two small polyps were removed. You don't have to do this again for 5 years. Hope this review is helpful!"

For Bowel Preparation "Not thrilled. I started off with two days of a low-residue diet, then started the liquid diet (mainly watered-down bone broth, Gatorade, and Jello) 24 hours before my colonoscopy. I drank the first Clenpiq bottle at 5 pm as my doctor recommended. The first bottle tasted okay, not great but tolerable. I drank five cups of clear liquid after. No bloating or pain, just some liquidy BMs. Then I drank the second bottle at 9 pm plus four cups of liquid. From about 10 until 4 am, I was up every 30-60 minutes to go to the bathroom. At 4 am, my BMs still were fairly dark and my colon was not clear. I fell asleep until 6, then had to go to the store to buy two boxes of Fleet enemas and figure out how to use them. I wasn’t sure the first one did the trick, so I used the second one. After that, it was clear. My procedure that morning went well, and the doctor said if I hadn’t used the enemas, they would not have been able to do the colonoscopy. I hope there are better preps on the market!"

For Bowel Preparation "OMG, the best bowl prep ever! I have used every prep out there, and this is the best. I did not taste any flavor, although it was supposed to be cranberry. I get colonoscopies yearly and have to psych myself up to drink a gallon of disgusting prep. I drank the bottle straight, then drank 40 oz of water after. Then repeated for the second round. Drinking 8 oz of prep with no flavor is so much better than trying to drink down a gallon of nasty prep, which I usually throw up. Clenpiq stayed down, no gagging or throwing up. The only problem I had was a terrible headache, which lasted until after my procedure. Thank you, Clenpiq!"

For Bowel Preparation "I used Clenpiq for the first time. At first, I believed it cleaned me out. I drank one bottle at 5:00 PM, followed by 40 ounces of water over 4 hours. I repeated with a second bottle at 9:00 PM, followed by an additional 40 ounces of water until 1:00 AM. I was up until 4:00 AM having bowel movements. At 11:00 AM, I underwent my 4th colonoscopy. When I awoke, the nurse told me the doctor/surgeon was not happy with me because I did not prep properly. I did! He talked to me an hour later and said he couldn’t do a complete colonoscopy because of dark stool. I told him that this was a first for me and that I did everything as per the Clenpiq instructions and his. I drank more water than the instructions called for, which my doctor/surgeon advised me to. I am embarrassed and humiliated. I decided to do some homework and found out this can happen with any prep kit. I will never use Clenpiq again or go back to the doctor who performed the colonoscopy."

For Bowel Preparation "Paid $90 with insurance for Clenpiq. Tastes like chemicals, so foul, nasty, and vile. Managed to drink the bottle at 5 PM (took 30 min to get it down). Felt nauseous trying to drink it. Drank the recommended water after. Had to do the 2nd bottle at 10 PM with more water. Felt nauseous all night. You can only drink liquids, so you have to drink this horrible concoction on an empty stomach. I never want to go through a bowel prep again. Thank God the bottles are small. I would rather have enemas, just saying..."

For Bowel Preparation "The prep was administered as directed. The cleanse was inadequate. I had to have two enemas prior to the procedure because I did not feel as though I was adequately prepped. Even so, the capable doctor was unable to get an adequate read, and I have been instructed to return in one year. Choose an alternate prep kit so you do not miss a day of work and burden the medical community with a failed procedure. No one wants this."

For Bowel Preparation "Super easy prep. First dose in early AM made me a little queasy, but it passed. No cramping. Second dose, no problem. Taste was fine, and quantity was small enough to drink quickly. Hydrating is very important."

For Bowel Preparation "This was my second colonoscopy. My first one I had no problems at all. This time I took Clenpiq, and it has been a terrible experience. Other than the fact that it did cleanse me out, there is nothing else positive about this product. I took the first bottle at 3:30 PM. The taste is absolutely putrid and lingers. But that is not the worst part of it. It started working about 2 hours after the first dose, I also started having chills. Another couple of hours later, I was having very watery bowels, then nothing for an hour or so, so I went to bed. I woke up twice in the middle of the night in a puddle of watery poop. Had to change and shower. After the second shower, I passed out. Thank goodness my husband was there. I felt terrible, lightheaded, nauseous, heart racing. As directed, I took the second dose at 9 AM. For hours after the colonoscopy, bad cramps. Had loose stools for 2 days and still feel 'off' over a week later. This stuff was toxic to my body. NEVER AGAIN!!!"

For Bowel Preparation "First dose Clenpiq: stomach pain and nauseous; visits to the bathroom were no more than 3. Second dose: after 15 minutes of the intake, felt nauseous and like in seconds and on my way to the bathroom, I vomited all of it. I don’t think I will be okay to have my colonoscopy and will never ever use this product again."

For Bowel Preparation "Clenpiq is a cranberry-flavored liquid that you drink directly from the bottle. It is very sickeningly sweet and viscous, and I kept having to drink water in between as a chaser. Within an hour, I started pooping, which was fine. Then, after 4 hours, I started getting chills, then felt hot, then felt like I was going to pass out! Knowing that I would have to take another 5 oz dose at 11 PM didn't help. I stared at the bottle at 11:05 PM and took a few swallows of Clenpiq, then immediately started vomiting white foam. My husband kept encouraging me to finish the bottle so that I would be cleaned out. I tried a few more swallows and again started vomiting. There was no way that I would be able to drink that second bottle! In my case, I think that one bottle was sufficient for me because I had been going to the bathroom quite often, and Clenpiq was very potent for my system. I'm not sure that I will ever undergo another colonoscopy because the prepping process is a terrible experience!"

For Bowel Preparation "Tasted fine, but failed to provide sufficient colon cleaning. Despite following the preparation guidelines fully, starting two hours early and drinking more than double the amount of water recommended, the Boston Bowel Prep Score was 1 out of 9."

For Bowel Preparation "If you're reading this, chances are your doctor prescribed Clenpiq. I recently had a colonoscopy, and the doctor had me use the Clenpiq. It's not cheap, and insurance doesn't seem to cover it. I believe the price is roughly $150, and they gave it to me for $50. Hated it, but I trusted my doctor. On prep day, I had black coffee and then water for breakfast. For lunch, green 'yuck' jello. Then back to water and Diet 7Up. At 3 PM, I slowly drank the first bottle. Nothing happened. After about two hours, 'thar she blows!!' As an aside, have a tablet or laptop ready to watch movies or shows or whatever your choice. Back to the fun. I continued this pace the rest of the night. I got maybe a couple of hours of sleep. Then, four hours before the procedure, I drank bottle two. More bathroom time, but not nearly that much. I was done and had the procedure. The doctor said I was totally clean, which is good because if you're not, you'll have to do it again. So a big thumbs up to Clenpiq. It worked for me."

For Bowel Preparation "Probably the worst drug experience I have ever had. Name the symptom on the list, I had it: headache, bloating, ear pain, severe nausea, belching, cramping, dizzy. It took 5.5 hours with the first dose to make my first run to the bathroom, and I was living on plain pasta and soups for the last 3 days. I have IBS-C, and my regular drug Trulance does a better clean out with a tsp of olive oil. Total nightmare. I luckily had Dulcolax in the house to be able to take 3 of those to add to the mix. Added that from reading here and took the second dose right after I started going, for fear I would not be done. I am determined to make this work even if I have to take more Dulcolax. Horrible drug. How can anyone prescribe something with a 50% success rate? Last time I took some salty grape thing, ice cold with ice and a cold water chaser, and it worked fast, and I was done with both doses by 11 PM. I have a 6:30 AM arrival tomorrow and likely will have no sleep tonight."

For Bowel Preparation "Unfortunately, I did not have a good experience with Clenpiq. The first bottle went down fine, as well as all of the water required immediately afterwards. But when I drank the second bottle at 5 a.m. the next morning, I was only able to keep the contents in my stomach for 5 minutes before experiencing severe nausea and vomiting. Unable to keep any liquids down despite continued attempts over the next 2 hours, I experienced dry mouth and skin as I dehydrated. My colonoscopy had to be canceled due to inability to complete prep."

For Bowel Preparation "Not bad at all. The taste is okay. I would really recommend using a straw and washing your mouth out after drinking because it does have a lingering taste. I drank the required clear liquid for both parts within an hour of drinking the prep, and it started working 30 minutes later. What comes out is pretty much water. I had no rush to go to the bathroom and was able to sleep through the night between preps."

For Bowel Preparation "This is my 3rd colonoscopy due to my diagnosis of ulcerative proctitis. I have used a different prep for all 3. I did not enjoy the other preps either, but the temporary discomfort is not hard to rationalize through. The process and method are just means to an end. I chose the split-dose method, just to ensure that there would be plenty of time to make sure I was completely clean. Took the first dose at 3:45 PM and the second at 9:00 PM. Long story short, I had a miserable night NOT pooping and had to make multiple calls to the GI's office and multiple trips to the pharmacy to get additional laxatives. So by 11:00 AM the next day, after having used the entire prep per manufacturer's instructions, a gallon of water, 2 Dulcolax suppositories, and 1 1/2 bottles of Mag Citrate, I was 'clean enough' to perform the procedure. Ridiculous. Never again."

For Bowel Preparation "48 yr old female doing prep because of diverticulitis. Clenpiq did its job. Liquid diet all day then took the first bottle of Clenpiq at 4 PM. Not fun to drink, but I’ve had to drink bottles of barium for other tests before, so this was nothing compared to that. I dry heaved after drinking the first half of the bottle, but then took deep breaths and finished it OK. Started to work within an hour. The second bottle was harder to get down. I drank that at 9 PM. This time, the diarrhea was much worse, it would hit so fast I barely made it to the bathroom in time, and it was only 10 feet away. Slept off and on, basically on the toilet every hour until 4:30 AM. Woke at 7, went again but less urgency. Sipping water now. My appointment is at 11 AM. Have a bad headache and feel anxious, but I attribute this to being a bit dehydrated. Overall, even though the medicine is gross, once you get it down, it works. I’m sure all will go well with my procedure today as I am really cleaned out."

For Bowel Preparation "Clenpiq was definitely not a good prep for a colonoscopy. Took as directed, followed the instructions, which were simple. Was not properly cleansed for my procedure, in which I had to be administered an enema to further clear my bowels. Will not take again in the future."

For Bowel Preparation "First, I will confirm that I followed all my doctor's instructions precisely. After the first dose of Clenpiq at 5 PM, I had a terrible headache. Forty minutes after taking the second dose at 10 PM, the nausea and vomiting started. From 10:40 PM to 3:36 PM, I was sitting on the toilet throwing up in the trash can. I was mostly, but not completely, cleaned out. The doctor wrote on the report that the colonoscopy was difficult because there was 'retained stool.' That was no surprise since I'm sure I puked up most of the second dose."

For Bowel Preparation "I was extremely bloated with cramps for 1 week after using Clenpiq for my colonoscopy prep. It took 3 hours before it worked, then continued for 8 hours. Then I had to take the 2nd bottle. It did work, but I felt bad for days."

For Bowel Preparation "It’s 12:18 AM, and I’m typing this as I sit on my bed in agony, waiting for the next mad dash to the bathroom. Let’s start with the taste.... imagine drinking salty, acidic, artificially sweetened sugar water. It’s DISGUSTING! The first bottle at 5 PM, I chugged like a champ along with 5 8oz glasses of water thereafter. Round two, however, and your girl is struggling. Halfway through bottle No. 2, and I got hit with a massive wave of nausea. I literally had to gag down the rest of the solution. Now I’m trying to get through 5 more 8oz glasses of water, and this much water on an empty stomach is making the nausea even worse. I’ve been going to the bathroom every 15 minutes or so since 5:30 PM. Now with bottle number 2, I imagine I’ll be up right until my colonoscopy in the morning. The good news is there is no abdominal cramping, but the taste and the nausea have left me with no desire to ever do this again."

For Bowel Preparation "Clenpiq was decent as a bowel prep. The solution I got was flavored with cranberry flavor. It was sweet and salty, but I got it down easily. Compared to GoLytely, there were slightly fewer movements (although still a LOT), but towards the end, it started feeling hot and acidic. I didn't have that with GoLytely. Make sure to have baby wipes handy. However, it seemed to clean me out very well, probably better than GoLytely. I didn't have any noticeable adverse side effects. Although, the prep continued to work AFTER the procedure."

For Bowel Preparation "Clenpiq works, but the problem is the packaging. The first bottle was very difficult to open. The second was impossible. My daughter couldn't open it either-no one could. At 5 a.m., I had to find a hacksaw to cut it open and drip the contents into a glass. Others have commented online about the ridiculous bottle. It's insane that a company charges $170 for a product that literally cannot be opened at a stressful time."
