For Bowel Preparation "Took the first bottle at 5 PM, followed by 40 oz of fluids. Started working around 7 PM but found it worked slowly compared to Suprep and others. I kept going on and off until 11 PM. Went to sleep, then took the second dose at 3 AM with 24 oz of fluids. Nothing happened until 6 AM. I was worried I wouldn't be cleaned out, but it did the job. I did get chills from it starting around 9 PM. Doctor said this was normal. Something about electrolytes being out of whack. Cranberry flavor? Didn't taste that at all, but I do like the smaller bottles. I figure I'd rather go through one day/night of prep than have colon cancer that got out of control because it was never discovered."

For Bowel Preparation "Followed the Clenpiq instructions to a T. All it did was give me really bad cramps, chills. Did not work... lost a day at work for absolutely nothing. Have to do the whole thing over but will NEVER use Clenpiq again."

For Bowel Preparation "Did not work for me. After the first dose, violent cramping, wicked headache, nausea, vomiting, chills. Could not take the second dose and had to cancel the procedure due to incomplete cleansing of the bowel. All in all, a miserable day of clear liquid diet and attempted cleansing for nothing."

For Bowel Preparation "This was not my first colonoscopy, but my first time using Clenpiq. I followed a low-fiber, low-residue diet 2 days before prep. On prep day, I had fluids only. My first dose (split dose) was at 5 pm. I used a straw to drink straight from the bottle. It was not that bad. (Suprep was much worse and a larger quantity to consume). Then, I had to drink 40 oz. of liquid over a period of 5 hours. Very easy for me to do; I was done in 2.5 hrs. I had no ill effects after taking the Clenpiq, no headache, no chills, no nausea (I had all of these with Suprep). Clenpiq began 'working' in about 30 minutes. I was in and out of the bathroom 4 to 5 times between 5:30 pm and 9 pm. Tips: do use A&D ointment and wet wipes. Also, if you have hemorrhoids, use Witch Hazel or Tucks. I was 'done' by 11:00. Slept till 2 am and had my second dose at 2:30 am (basically a repeat). No issues with my colonoscopy. Two small polyps were removed. You don't have to do this again for 5 years. Hope this review is helpful!"

For Bowel Preparation "This was my second colonoscopy. My first one I had no problems at all. This time I took Clenpiq, and it has been a terrible experience. Other than the fact that it did cleanse me out, there is nothing else positive about this product. I took the first bottle at 3:30 PM. The taste is absolutely putrid and lingers. But that is not the worst part of it. It started working about 2 hours after the first dose, I also started having chills. Another couple of hours later, I was having very watery bowels, then nothing for an hour or so, so I went to bed. I woke up twice in the middle of the night in a puddle of watery poop. Had to change and shower. After the second shower, I passed out. Thank goodness my husband was there. I felt terrible, lightheaded, nauseous, heart racing. As directed, I took the second dose at 9 AM. For hours after the colonoscopy, bad cramps. Had loose stools for 2 days and still feel 'off' over a week later. This stuff was toxic to my body. NEVER AGAIN!!!"

For Bowel Preparation "Clenpiq is a cranberry-flavored liquid that you drink directly from the bottle. It is very sickeningly sweet and viscous, and I kept having to drink water in between as a chaser. Within an hour, I started pooping, which was fine. Then, after 4 hours, I started getting chills, then felt hot, then felt like I was going to pass out! Knowing that I would have to take another 5 oz dose at 11 PM didn't help. I stared at the bottle at 11:05 PM and took a few swallows of Clenpiq, then immediately started vomiting white foam. My husband kept encouraging me to finish the bottle so that I would be cleaned out. I tried a few more swallows and again started vomiting. There was no way that I would be able to drink that second bottle! In my case, I think that one bottle was sufficient for me because I had been going to the bathroom quite often, and Clenpiq was very potent for my system. I'm not sure that I will ever undergo another colonoscopy because the prepping process is a terrible experience!"

For Bowel Preparation "One hour after drinking the first bottle of Clenpiq, I went to the bathroom and vomited for over an hour constantly. Bowels didn’t move for another hour or so. I was freezing and wrapped a blanket around me. Next, the horrible sweats started. My hair was soaked. I was so miserable I couldn’t get comfortable. I started shaking, and I had tingling in my feet and hands. I could barely speak because my teeth were chattering. I asked my husband to stay close because I was really scared and, at one point, thought I might be having a stroke because my left leg felt numb. He handed me the phone, and I called the doctor on call. He said I would be fine and side effects like this are rare, and he would cancel my colonoscopy. After starting to evacuate my bowels, the horrible side effects started to ease. I did some more vomiting and finally was able to lay down for a bit. It’s 12:40 in the morning, and I’m still pooing, feel weak, have a headache, and can’t wait to never use Clenpiq again."

For Bowel Preparation "First dose worked about 45 minutes after taking it. Had to go a few times throughout the evening, but it was manageable. Went to sleep and woke up at 3 AM with chills, a terrible urge to vomit, spent the last hour in the bathroom, couldn’t get off the toilet, it was a terrible 1 hour. It’s now just after 4 AM, just took the second dose. I feel much better, but I’m dreading the effects. I’m hoping everything is good for my 8 AM colonoscopy. I don’t ever want to do this again!"

For Bowel Preparation "What a terrible, terrible-tasting prep. Praying it did the trick for the AM but not hopeful. Awful chills, as others have experienced. I went clear, and AFTER the second bottle at 1 AM, had some formed stool. Not sure how that is even possible. I have had 6 different preps, and this was the worst for aftertaste and side effects."

For Bowel Preparation "The first few hours after taking the first dose weren’t too bad, but when I laid down to try to get a little rest before the second dose, my neck felt like it was in a vice and I couldn’t get comfortable. Then I began to shiver and couldn’t get warm, so I thought perhaps I better drink some more liquid that maybe I had lost too much electrolyte. When I got up, I almost fell over and determined that my blood pressure was off the charts. From what I’ve read, it can stay in your system for several days after. Do yourself a favor and run if your doctor prescribes this sodium-laden stuff."

For Bowel Preparation "I had a colonoscopy due to Cologuard (+). Doc recommended pill form Sutab for bowel prep. Since I have trouble swallowing big pills, I requested liquid form and got Clenpiq. I like the taste. My appointment was 7:30 a.m. I was told to take the 1st dose at 5 p.m. and the 2nd dose at 2:30 a.m. Since I got an appointment that someone else had canceled (notified me 2 days ahead), I had no time to be well prepared. I started a low-fiber diet right away (be sure to search for what low-fiber foods are, not what I assumed), then clear liquid the day before. I took the 1st dose at 4 p.m., didn't have anything until 8:30 p.m. (near panic). Then I kept running stained watery stool till 12:30 a.m. I was exhausted and took the 2nd dose at 1 a.m. (worried bowel won't be cleaned) running until 3 a.m. Got 1.5 hrs sleep. Finally, I got clear water out, it means bowel prep is successful (doc proved). I had 8mm and 15mm polyps. I kick myself for not doing the colonoscopy earlier (I'm 58, 1st time test). I did have chills and nausea for 20 min (3 hrs after the 1st dose) subsided by lying on the bed and breathing."

For Bowel Preparation "Highly recommended! I had my 10-year routine colonoscopy screening this morning and did the Clenpiq prep last night. The prep I took for my first colonoscopy (GoLightly?) made me so sick — chills, nausea, vomiting — but Clenpiq (like its predecessor Prepopik) made it a relatively painless process — no cramping or nausea at all, and the volume of prep is small and tastes fine, much better than the other stuff. And it did the job, doc said my colon was super clean. Prepopik lets you choose your own liquid as the “chaser” (I find that coconut water goes down the easiest), which is much more palatable than the giant vats of prep you have to drink with most of the other options."

For Bowel Preparation "Worst experience of my life! Went 15 times after the first prep. The taste was one of the worst imaginable, good thing it was in a small bottle. It caused a pretty bad rectal bleed, and the effects take a long time to wear off. I had chills and a headache for hours. Got 0 sleep because I was up all night on the toilet."

For Bowel Preparation "This was my third colonoscopy, and the pharmacy gave me both Suprep and Clenpiq. I had a choice of which one to go with. Clenpiq seemed much easier, so I gave it a go. Horrible experience. It was easy to get down, but then nausea, chills, headache. AND didn’t seem to be working. Finally, after two hours, it started working. But not as well as Suprep. I decided to take the second dose earlier at 3 AM before my 9 AM appointment to make sure it had time to work. With those side effects, I wouldn’t recommend. Still feeling bad the day after, and it’s still causing loose bowels."

For Bowel Preparation "7/13/2022, my wife is having her colonoscopy tomorrow, and she is literally about to pass out from taking this stuff. It was $85 of hell she is experiencing. 1. The taste is terrible. 2. She is cramping and getting chills. 3. Her stomach is in knots. I had mine done 2 years ago, and my doctor prescribed for me 3 tablets of Dulcolax. Then take Miralax at 6 PM to start. This Clenpiq is awful and expensive just to get sick and crap."

For Bowel Preparation "The taste of Clenpiq is putrid, sort of sweet and acidic - hard to describe. It has a terrible lingering aftertaste. I had to drink it with a straw and take sips of Gatorade in between. The bottles are small, though. Took the first dose at 5:00 pm, and it didn't kick in until about 6:30 pm. It wasn't a super urgent need to use the bathroom but more like a stomach ache that I could feel coming on gradually. I did experience some chills with the first dose, but was done by 8:30. I did have to get out of bed at about 1:30 for another bathroom trip. I was able to sleep until 5:30 am when my second dose was due. I did have a terrible headache and some nausea following the second dose. Also, it still continues to work 5 hours after my procedure."

For Bowel Preparation "I'm a sixty-year-old male in good overall health. This is my fourth colonoscopy and the first with Clenpiq. I used the split-dose method. My results are mixed. This prep did its job, and I enjoyed not having to drink such large amounts of foul-tasting liquid as with other preps. However, the first dose gave me a moderate headache and chills for a few hours. I also experienced a feeling of malaise during that time. Not at all pleasant. The first dose started working after about two hours and lasted for about three hours before I settled down and went to sleep. My procedure was in the afternoon, so I waited until morning for the second dose. No headache or chills, so a better experience. The second dose worked in about an hour. I think I will use Clenpiq again, but as always, hope for something even better."
