Humira (adalimumab) "This drug is worth every penny for those of us who have endured shear pain for years. I feel like a human being and not a test rat for goodness knows how many medications that could just as well have been a placebo. "

Humira (adalimumab) "When I first started using Humira I was so happy because it cleared my skin and scalp up a lot but not completely. Now after being on Humira for about 8 months I'm having more and more side effects and the one that scares me the most is trouble breathing. Within 24 hours of giving my shot I wake up in the middle of the nite and thru out the day with difficulty breathing I also have itching I think the drug was great at first but now its scaring me. Especially now that all these side affects are happening and also my joints are real sore - beware of what ur injecting in ur body before it may be to late."

Humira (adalimumab) "I have been using Humira since October of 2009, I had a lot of swelling in my joints after the injection and redness, swelling and bruising. I have not noticed much difference. I have started not only the cartilage degeneration but it is affecting my bone also. We are about to try Simponi. Hopefully this will work."

Humira (adalimumab) "I started Humira in hopes it would reduce my flare ups. I was already on methotrexate. My actual psoriasis was non existant for years. As soon as I started Humira, my psoriasis exploded everywhere and flare ups started again. Not was I was hoping."

Humira (adalimumab) "I started humira last year for my psoriatic arthritis. I saw improvements that were better than methotrexate for sure but the symptoms would show up again just before injection time. It also cleared up my plaque psoriasis completely. Due to financial constraints, I had to stop for a few months. My symptoms came back with a vengeance and were far far worse than they were originally. I’m now back on humira and am also taking methotrexate until everything is under control again. I’m hoping it works as fast as it did the first time. Just don’t get off of it without a back up plan...."

Humira (adalimumab) "I was on Humira for 8 years, which worked well for me until out of nowhere I had a full blown stroke. I had test after test and the Dr's could not find the reason why. I believe it was caused by the Humira. Never again!"

Humira (adalimumab) "All but one finger on both hands were in excruciating pain to use. Couldn't snap, buckle, clothes, all daily activities needing fingers were impossible. The pain left after the loading dose of 80m. But the enthesitis in my right hip is killing me today, a couple of days ago it was my heels. But I can use my fingers. It has been a month and I do feel swelling beginning again in my fingers. I'm upset that it seems to have done the good it was going to do and ethesitis and sloppy ligaments are making it hard to walk. I would like to try Stelara myself."

Humira (adalimumab) "Brilliant drug been on it since 2009 & everything was great ( skin & pain free ) but now my skin is getting bad, so upset what should I do. Was told Humira only works for so many years..... gutted . Would rather be in pain & have clear skin."

Humira (adalimumab) "I really like this medication! It helps me with PSA and psoriasis and makes me feel like normal again. The only think I have to complain about is about 3 days before my next injection I can feel the medication has left my body so it doesn't last 100% the full 2 weeks it's supposed to"

Humira (adalimumab) "Started noticing psoriasis at age 27, started with the head scalp plaque and progressed all over including arthritis pain. Possibly due to stress. Local climate and pollution were not helpful. Tried many medications and lotions with none to minimal success. The only relief I could get is tropical sun, beach, and sea water. That relief lasted a few months. Moving to a dry climate area helped reduce arthritis pain dramatically. And after trying Humira for the first time and so far the only biological I tried 99% was cleared with no side effects so far. On rare occasions I would get minor numbness and to reduce the risk I even took it once a month - not as prescribed. That still helped with 97% clear skin. Few months not taking any medication it appears that it has gotten worst than when I started but only topical."

Humira (adalimumab) "I have had psoriasis my whole childhood since I was 5 years old currently 18 years old. My psoriasis was so severe that I had patches over my whole body. Last summer I finally found a doctor in my area who got me on humira for psoriatic arthritis. For the first 8 months my psoriasis was completely gone and I had no pain. But recently for a few months now my hands, feet, elbows, wrist, knees, and ankles stiffen up and are in excruciating pain. Some days I can't even walk, get outta bed or just do my normal activities. I'm going to see a rheumatologist in two months but I don't think I can't make till then cause everyday I'm suffering from so much joint pain. I thought humira would help me but instead it's hurting me!"

Humira (adalimumab) "Experienced allergy symptoms from this (itchy eyes, sinus pain/running nose, etc.). Also had what the doctor called an allergic reaction to the shot on my leg. Started swelling up, and got bigger than the palm of my hand. Red, horrible looking, and it hurt to touch."

Humira (adalimumab) "I have been on Humira for 3 years now for Psoriatic Arthritis and Psoriasis. I have had Psoriasis for 35 years and PSA for about 4 years. I Started with the original formulation (40mg) every other week. Now on Citrate free. The citrate free seems to have less irritation at the injection site and a finer needle. My Psoriasis on my skin disappeared within a few weeks except for a patch on my scalp. My joints ( especially my feet ) started to feel better within a few injections. My labs have shown low White Blood Cell counts a few times. (I do drink Alcohol ) I have not have to have any treatments of any sort. I have occasionally taken Meloxicam for occasional pain ( I am an Industrial Mechanic by trade ) so I sometimes over do it on the job. One of the side effects that I have noticed is my Allergy's seem worse. I started sneezing more often and usually have a runny nose in the morning. Allergy meds do seem to help."

Amjevita (adalimumab) "Complete wonder drug. Was taking 6 sulfasalazine alongside copious amounts of naproxen to be able to get out of bed and work (plumber). A week after I took Amgevita, I was walking as if I were on naproxen and decided to stop taking the other tablets. I’m yet to catch up with my specialist, but from using a walking stick to get to the toilet, now on the verge of hogging and walking 10miles with the dog.. game changer."

Humira (adalimumab) "Even though Humira was not what I originally wanted to take as my first option, from my experience since I first started taking it around a month and a half ago it has removed about 90-95% of pain associated with Psoriatic Arthritis. I would say if you are looking for a medication for solely the Arthritis aspect of Psoriatic Arthritis give Humira a go if it is your first choice, but even if it isn't do not be discouraged because it wasn't my first choice either but it ended up helping me much more than I had originally thought it would. Also somehow the needle is almost painless, it hurts significantly less than something like getting your blood drawn."

Humira (adalimumab) "I have been using humira for 2 years now with no noticable side effects. I have found humira to be very effective in relieving the pain I was experiencing in the past before using humira. I still have minor swelling in my right knee and ankles however they have improved greatly from what they were like before taking humira. Whilst the bone and cartilage damage cant be reversed I believe humira has put a cap on my diseased parts and has halted the progression of the symptoms and hopefully is giving me more time to not have to have a knee replacement."

Humira (adalimumab) "Aside from arthritic pain, I haven't been sick so much as a cold in about 10 years. At 43 years old I took Humira for 4 months and ended up in the emergency room with shingles on my face that almost took my right eye. Now I have most of the right side of my face scarred with half an eyebrow. Thanks Humira."

Amjevita (adalimumab) "Humira was the second biologic that I tried and it worked brilliantly. Leaps and bounds better than the Cosentyx I had started on originally. Then the switch came and I am trying Amgevita. After 2 months the joint pain started to return albeit still less than taking no bios. But then skin psoriasis returned along with a massive outbreak of eczema. The soles of my feet and palms of my hands are a complete disaster. Walking hurts, I have to keep my hands covered in gloves because they are cracking and bleeding like my feet and my body is now covered in small psoriasis patches!! I have never have this much psoriasis or such a dramatic outbreak of eczema! I took myself off of Amgevita for 4 weeks and the skin started to clear a little but returned full force when I started taking it again. I need to try another biosimilar. Sure wish I could have my Humira back!"

Humira (adalimumab) "I was on Remicade for years with GREAT results, but six months ago developed a terrible case of Thrush! I stopped Remicade because I figured the candida was taking advantage of my lowered immune system. However, in September, the joint pain was so bad I felt I had to go back on medication and tried Otezla. I couldn't stay on it longer than 1 month because of terrible side effects, switched to Humira in October, but had to double the dose in December because it was not helping the joint pain. It is still not helping the joint pain, but I will persevere for another month. I am considering going back on Remicade again because it works like a miracle with minimum side effects - other than the immune system issues. Humira affects the immune system, too, so I might as well go back on something that actually helps me!"

Humira (adalimumab) "I am a 66 year old female, and just took my 3rd injection of Humira. My skin is clearing steadily. I am hoping to get more joint pain relief soon. I also had a hip replacement 8 months ago and wasn't getting much exercise. I am joining a gym (a half block away from my apartment-NO EXCUSES, eh?) tomorrow and hope to do light weights along with tread/elliptical machines. Hoping the exercise will also help. Am I being impatient regarding the joint relief? Also, does anyone else have muscle cramps with Humira? Thanks and wishes for better health for all."

After 4 months the effect stopped just from one day to another. Tried to have a dose more often after agreement with doctor. Now tried 4 more months and it’s not working like in the beginning. I have agreed with doctor to stop taking it at try another medication."

Humira (adalimumab) "These pens have serious quality control issues. I started taking in mid December. Now it is the end of April. Of the last 2 batches, each with 2 pens each, 3 of them completely leaked. I followed the normal procedure which had worked first 6 times. It is very frustrating to go through this for such an expensive medicine. My insurance covers most of it. So, my monetary loss is nominal. But, if anybody is paying multiple hundreds, this would have serious psychological impact. How can you trust the medicine for such chronic and oppressive conditions when the device itself not reliable? I hate Humira and it’s manufacturer now."
