For Helicobacter Pylori Infection "I have severe GERD with erosive esophagus as well as two ulcers. I was given Voquezna because of my severe diagnosis. I had an endoscopy to check on my ulcers before having hiatal hernia surgery. 60 days on Voquezna and my ulcers have significantly improved. I fully expect after the surgery and 30 more days on Voquezna my ulcers and GERD will be gone. Voquezna is honestly the ONLY medication that has helped me. Thanks for giving me my life back."

For Erosive Esophagitis "I was on Protonix for many years and always struggled with a few side effects. Also, if I missed a dose, I would be plagued with rebound and headaches. Also, my doctors were not seeing much improvement on my endoscopies with the Protonix. With the Voquenza, the medication begins working in a few hours, does not cause rebound acid (as far as I can tell), and works much, much better than the Protonix at relieving my heartburn symptoms. I have a class D hiatal hernia, and as I got older, I began experiencing chronic heartburn that developed into erosive esophagitis. The Voquenza is not cheap, but I am very pleased with how well it's working to control my heartburn. I have not had any side effects from the Voquenza, although I have not been taking it long enough to know if I will develop a magnesium or B12 deficiency."

"I have been suffering with very bad indigestion/heartburn for over a month, to the point I thought I was having a heart attack. I tried every acid blocker, Tums, baking soda, you name it, I tried it. Nothing was working or even giving me a little relief. My doctor recommended I try Voquezna. I’m only 6 days in and have to say I feel great. It started working within hours of taking it. I can’t wait to see what the weeks ahead hold. I have no side effects from it at this moment, and I’m praying it stays that way."

For GERD "I have been taking the medication for 20 days. At first, it helped me a little, but now I have had many episodes of very chronic diarrhea. I thought it was the food and continued taking my medicine and my very strict diet, and again with diarrhea. I stopped the medicine. The last 3 days of taking the medicine, I feel that my acidity is the same as before, it hasn't helped me much. It produces a lot of bitterness in my mouth. And I feel that it doesn't help."

For GERD "I was taking up to 2 40 mg of Omeprazole a day for severe reflux. It wasn’t helping much. I went to a different gastroenterologist, and he prescribed me Voquezna. I could feel a difference with the first pill that I took. It actually does something and reduces acid in the esophagus also. Been taking it about 2 weeks now, does not seem to be giving me side effects. I don’t know why the GI doctor I’ve been seeing for 6 months has told me to wait before he gave me this med! Too young and inexperienced, maybe."

For GERD "I was on the medication for about 3 months. The first 2 months it worked great. After that, I started to have reflux symptoms. I also felt my throat closing. At first, it only happened once in a while. Then it was every day for a week, and it was all day. I read throat tightness could be an allergic reaction. Day 1 of stopping meds, the throat tightness went away."

For GERD "I’d never had GERD before, but in late 2024, I suddenly couldn’t stop burping and felt pain under my sternum. An endoscopy showed mild acid reflux—Grade A cardioesophagitis. I also had burning stomach pain, nausea, trouble eating, and eventually throat and swallowing issues. I took Prilosec for three months, but it made me nauseous and I was unsure how much it was helping. I’ve now been on 20 mg of Voquenza for two months. It’s helped more—no more nausea or stomach burning, and the throat symptoms are now mild—but it hasn’t cured me. I still feel discomfort under my sternum, frequent heartburn (which I didn’t have before), and an acidic taste in my mouth. There’s no one-size-fits-all fix for GERD. Voquenza has helped, but I’m unsure if I’ll stay on it after two months."

"I was given this on a trial basis because having taken all the other ones on the market, none of them helped me at all, and this is, by the way, after hiatal hernia surgery. I still had a constant flow of acid going up through my esophagus, into my mouth, into my nasal cavities, back down, and then the same thing over and over again, 24/7, 365. This medicine helps, but it's not a solution either, it seems neither was the surgery. In fact, it might've aggravated it a bit, so I would like to stay on this medication, but it's $600 a month. It seems insurance won't cover it, so it remains to be seen what these learned doctors will come up with. By the way, I have A-fib as well, and one aggravates the other, so these doctors will have to learn how to treat the two of them together because one cannot fix one condition without the other. The Mayo and the Cleveland Clinic now agree with my brilliant diagnosis. I mean, after all, the heart lies right on top of the area where the hiatal hernia is. Makes sense."
