For Rheumatoid Arthritis "I was using Plaquenil alone, then they added methotrexate, but it gave me headaches. So they eliminated it for sulfasalazine. It makes it less painful. But the doctor said I better use Rinvoq. I have been taking Rinvoq for a year now with Plaquenil and sulfasalazine. This addition makes me feel like I'm gaining my normal life back. The problem is that I started to have continuous UTI infections in the last 8 months. It is very painful. So I am considering changing meds."

For Rheumatoid Arthritis "I have severe chronic RA and was diagnosed when I was 30 years old. I have suffered with this disease for 20 years. I'm amazed! I just can't believe the difference this medication has made. I've been on a 4-week trial and after 2 weeks, I have not had one flare. I can move my wrists freely and my knuckles and fingers are pain-free. So far, I haven't noticed any side effects. I am also taking methotrexate in conjunction with Rinvoq once a week. I find taking Rinvoq daily is a big chore and would like to have it in a weekly or monthly dose!"

For Ulcerative Colitis "My body has been rejecting biological meds, so this is my first time trying this. I'm on 45mg. I'm having crazy side effects like throat dryness and skin itching and bubbling with open sores. But I will start maintenance dose in Dec, 30mg, and the doctor says side effects will ease up. First time in six years, body inflammation is almost zero. I hope this will work long term, like 20+ years for me."

For Ankylosing Spondylitis "I have been on Rinvoq for 5 months. I noticed relief as soon as 4 weeks on this medication and I have continued to slowly get better and better. I'm hoping and praying it continues to work for me. My only complaint is a lot of depression, which is something I have never experienced in my whole life and I am 58 years old, so I'm certain it is Rinvoq. The only reason I have been determined to tolerate it is because I have gotten such good relief from the symptoms of ankylosing spondylitis."

For Atopic Dermatitis "This drug is an absolute lifesaver! Prior to taking it, I had no quality of life. I had severe itching, which resulted in approximately 3 hours of sleep a night. The itching was driving me insane to the point it seemed too hard. No medications, creams, or lotions worked. I was using a fork to scratch my skin as my nails couldn't relieve the itch. Within about 4 weeks after starting Rinvoq, I started getting significant relief. I have been on it for 6 months, and the itch issue is 100% gone. The horrendous eczema on my hands that was cracked and bleeding has cleared up as well, and an added bonus is I was spontaneously bruising very significantly. I could be sitting, watching TV, or sleeping at night, and I would be covered daily in severe large purple bruises on my body and face. I had no trauma to my body, but they spontaneously appeared. I looked like I had been in a bad accident when I was doing nothing to warrant bruising. They have progressively improved to only a few bruises."

For Rheumatoid Arthritis "I have RA and Ménière’s (inner ear problem). Rinvoq worsens my inner ear problem, causing increased vertigo. Stopped Rinvoq temporarily for another reason. Vertigo episodes disappeared! Restarted Rinvoq: vertigo returned a week later. Stopped the Rinvoq for 3 weeks again: vertigo disappeared. Restarted Rinvoq: vertigo returned. When I take Rinvoq every other day instead of daily, vertigo episodes are +/- one per month. When I take Rinvoq daily, vertigo episodes are 1 or 2 per day. Rinvoq exacerbates my inner ear problem, making Ménière’s more difficult to control, resulting in more frequent vertigo. Several reviews mention vertigo and dizziness on Rinvoq, but vertigo doesn’t show up in the official side effects list. If you’re having vertigo, spinning sensation, dizziness on Rinvoq, please post here, tell MD, and tell specialty pharmacy. They won’t list it as an uncommon side effect if they don’t know about it. They won’t know about it unless we tell them."

For Rheumatoid Arthritis "I started this medicine after Enbrel and Humira failed me. Within a week of taking this medicine, I got shingles, rashes, mouth sores, awful stomach pain, back pain, and my heart was racing at 120 beats a minute. I tried to reason with my Dr, she said the benefits outweigh the risks. I say not, so I am quitting the med and hoping for the best."

For Atopic Dermatitis "Severe atopic dermatitis popped up out of nowhere a year ago (reaction to 3rd Pfizer vaccine remains suspect). Outbreak had started to taper off at the beginning of 15 mg/day Rinvoq regimen. Continued progress through 2.5 months when I got a 4th Pfizer vaccine, at which point itchy spots started appearing again. Still, nothing like my initial outbreak but the jury's still out as to Rinvoq's effectiveness after 3.5 months. 68-year-old male. No side effects."

For Ulcerative Colitis "I was given Rinvoq for the treatment of my ulcerative colitis by my gastroenterologist. Unfortunately, after only my first induction dose of 45 mg, I suffered an allergic reaction with the following symptoms: headache, constricted nasal passages, difficulty breathing, pain in my upper back, pain in my lungs, my lungs felt like they were burning, lightheadedness, blurry/fuzzy vision, numbness in my left arm, pain in my left arm, cold sweats, and pain in my abdomen. Ended in the ER, and the ER doctor said to stop taking this medication."

For Rheumatoid Arthritis "I have been on Rinvoq for over a year. I previously tried Xeljanz and Olumiant. I have had many problems with dizziness and vertigo. Has anyone else experienced these problems while on this class of drugs? I would appreciate any information on this debilitating problem. Thanks."

For Atopic Dermatitis "It's not a miracle cure like they say. I believe there is a 60% improvement in my eczema after being on it for about half a year. No side effects that I've noticed, which is good. Overall, I suppose it's better than nothing, but it's just a little sad to realize there is still no medication that can cure eczema by at least 90% or more, though I realize that biologics work almost fully for some people. I'm just not one of them."

For Rheumatoid Arthritis "Two and a half years ago, I was diagnosed with RA. Over a little more than a year and a half ago, the doctor tried methotrexate, Humira (2 shots monthly), and Inflectra infusions (every 2 months). I would improve a bit early on (from bad pain and stiffness) after the treatments, then I’d fall apart. Flare-ups, allergic reactions, bad pain & sadness would creep in. Within 2 days of taking Rinvoq, I felt great! I’m sorry to read the other reviews, as my experience has been very positive. Any infections I’ve gotten can be explained - and stopping Rinvoq for a few days helps my immune system catch up. Knock on wood it keeps working for me! I respond well to taking Rinvoq every day! Thank you for inventing and investing in Rinvoq!!"

For Rheumatoid Arthritis "I started this medication 5 yrs after my RA diagnosis. Went through and failed all the others from methotrexate to Humira and Enbrel. I was a shell of my former self when I started Rinvoq. Much to my surprise, it worked immediately. With it came abdominal pain and gastric distress, several bouts of diverticulitis, UTI, and kidney infection. That being said, I went from immobile to mobile, which is a huge consideration. Due to the many infections, my rheumatologist recommended 3 x a week dosing, 15 mg. Much to my dismay, the infections continue. I was just off this med entirely for 6 weeks and returned due to the onset of pain and stiffness in my joints. I do plan on using half my prescribed dose from here on out. If infections persist, I'm gonna have to call it quits. There are side effects to antibiotics (Levofloxacin), such as spontaneous tendon rupture, that pale in comparison to my worst RA day. Do my best to eat right, stay in a normal weight range, and walk, and hope for the best."

For Rheumatoid Arthritis "Five years ago, I got diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis. I was 32 years old, and it was crippling. Considering my second son was just born, it was not good timing. I tried every medicine. I felt like a guinea pig. Nothing really worked. My rheumatologist was getting a little desperate, and that scared me for sure. I tried all types of diets, the carnivore diet definitely worked the best, and getting rid of carbs was big. Some days, I still could barely walk. Rinvoq was amazing, I've been on it for about two years, and I'm 92% better. I can't say much about many side effects. I have an eczema sun rash, but nobody really knows if that's from the medicine. Small price to pay if it is. I wish I knew more diet stuff earlier. The best for me was the carnivore diet (no carbs), but I didn't really try the full vegan diet long enough to tell. In any case, diets really help, but they have to be strict! Overall, Rinvoq was the game changer. Hopefully, no long-term side effects."

For Ankylosing Spondylitis "Within one day, I felt less pain and less stiffness. I can finally walk, and walking the stairs and standing up from a chair is much easier now! It works really fast. Before starting Rinvoq, I had a huge flare-up of AS and Crohn's disease (IBD). I could barely walk. Do others also have mood drops after taking this med? Feeling jittery, sad, almost depressed. I tapered down my dosage to one pill every two days to measure the side effects. Both times, my mood dropped. If it continues, I'll have to switch to another drug. Depression is a no-go for me."

For Ulcerative Colitis "I am taking Rinvoq since 6 months. I am seeing my cholesterol levels and triglyceride levels are going very, very high month by month. Seems this medication causes high cholesterol even when you are on a strict diet and not taking any cholesterol-rich foods. Before Rinvoq, my cholesterol levels were really good and within the limit."

For Atopic Dermatitis "I had uncontrollable itching and tried all sorts of things to help and was finally prescribed Rinvoq. With no insurance, I was able to sign up for a free Rx. Rinvoq gave me my life back. The itching was gone!!! Then I started seeing the side effects of shortness of breath, my legs breaking out in what appeared to be massive acne, and I am getting headaches and a slight cough. I have taken it for 3 months and a little of the itching has come back, I am definitely looking for an alternative."

For Psoriatic Arthritis "I’ve been searching for relief of psoriatic arthritis in fingers, wrists, knees, ankles, toes, neck, and spine, along with major scalp inflammation and intense itching and burning. After 9 weeks of the 15 mg dose, my arthritis has improved by about 30%. No adverse side effects. This Rinvoq is the most helpful of all that I’ve tried."

For Atopic Dermatitis "I've been taking Rinvoq for almost a year now and had to increase from 15 mg to 30 mg because the itching and inflammation came back after about 20 hours of taking it. I've gained almost 15 kg!!! and I can't get it off without starving myself. The cholesterol and kidney values are also noticeable but not yet worrying. All in all, a completely new life and wouldn't want to have to vegetate without this effect anymore!"

For Rheumatoid Arthritis "Rinvoq, 15 mg daily, has been a miracle for my RA symptoms, which had not responded well or consistently to many others of the usual oral and/or injectable medications. Low-level disease activity now, and very thankful. Initially, I did not even register any negative side effects, however, over time-just over a year-I am experiencing weight gain, iron deficiency, and a mild drop in white blood cells. Doctor is monitoring this-query due to Rinvoq? I hope NOT!"

For Crohn's Disease "I rate this a 5 in hopes that it works for you. I’ve been on it for 3 months. 1 month in, I felt horrible for two weeks, but then I started showing improvement and thought I was headed for remission. Now, at the 3-month mark, I’m in a bad flare again and have a terrible hemorrhoid. Unfortunately, I don’t think it’s working for me. I hope it works for you. P.S. I was on Humira for 5 years with no issue until it stopped working. Prior to that, I was on Remicade for several years in remission. Before that, I had a couple of surgeries (resection and fissure/fistula repair when I was younger) when I was on no maintenance medication."

For Ankylosing Spondylitis "I have gotten sick regularly with this drug. It helped my arthritis, but I stopped taking it for 3 days when I started to get a fever and night sweats. After three days of stopping the medication, my arthritis came back with a vengeance, and I started taking it again even though I was sick. I still have back pain and joint pain."

For Crohn's Disease "After taking Rinvoq for 3 months, there is a definite improvement in my overall condition. None of the expected side effects that I was warned about. Full remission. No more sudden bowel urgency. Healthy stools once a day, usually in the morning. If you are thinking of trying Rinvoq, make sure you get your Shingrix shot out of the way first, even if you've had only mild shingles in the past. If you have no heart or blood pressure issues, your specialist physician can practically guarantee you a full recovery and colon restored to its former glory. No Prednisone or any other drugs are needed for inflammation after taking this drug. Diet and exercise are very important."

For Rheumatoid Arthritis "Many failed attempts from over six drugs for my RA, from oral to self-injections paired with methotrexate injections. I was put on Rinvoq in February 2023. Over time, headaches began, and I noticed elevated blood pressure. My PCP would tell me it's my OSA (obstructive sleep apnea). A couple of months later, the headaches and full-body pain became excruciating. Nothing I took would help. My blood pressure would not go down and even reached as high as 190/104. I also experienced a fast heartbeat. I was a miserable soul and wanted to dig a hole and jump in. An ER visit did nothing to alleviate my symptoms. I finally had to figure this out for myself. I decided to stop taking Rinvoq for a couple of days to see what would happen. I noticed a little improvement after day three, so I continued not taking it. I flushed the medication out with nothing but water. By day five, I felt so much better, and one week later, everything had stopped. All I was going through were my normal day-to-day struggles from RA, osteoarthritis, and fibromyalgia."
