"I have been on Mounjaro for 7 weeks now and have lost 1 and a half stone. I was always tired, and my feet and back were killing me due to being overweight. Since taking this drug, I have only experienced feeling cold and the odd headache here and there. The positive side to taking Mounjaro is I no longer have menopausal hot sweats at night and can jog up my stairs without breathlessness, constant food cravings are gone, and I feel genuinely happier. I drink plenty of water as recommended, as this seems to help with weight loss. Overall, Mounjaro has changed my life for the better."

"I've started Mounjaro 12 weeks ago, and I have lost a total of 14 kg only on 2.5 mg. I've had absolutely no side effects, on the contrary, I feel quite energetic since I started using it. My starting weight was 120 kg, so I have a long way to go still. I have now passed on to the 5 mg dose and hoping to continue losing 5 kg monthly on average until I reach my desired weight."

"Fortunately, I did not experience any side effects until I got to 10 mg. I began having a reaction at the injection site and suffered a little blurred vision occasionally. I am now on my first week of 12.5 mg and find that 3 days after taking the injection, I am having pains (like muscle strain or a trapped nerve) in various and multiple places. This has been the case for 4 days now, so I am a bit dubious about taking my second injection tomorrow. However, I have lost 3 stone over 17 weeks, so for me, positive outweighs the negative as I was morbidly obese. Any thoughts on these pains I am having, please?"

"Mounjaro has been a lifesaver for me. I am fortunate enough to not have many side effects. In the beginning, I would get gas and stomach cramping, but I have learned what foods seem to cause that and now avoid them. It is so nice to be able to get through the day with my brain not constantly telling me to eat."

"I am 74 years old. I was thin until I was 40. Started eating all the wrong food as my husband showed his love with food. I started Mounjaro last year in October. I didn't lose any weight for the first 2 months. I lost 5 lbs in the third month. Then I started losing more. I went from 175 to 115 by August. I never wake up at night and started having a problem making it to the bathroom to pee 3 times a week. I called my doctor and she lowered my Mounjaro dosage to 10 mg and I was fine. I stopped taking Mounjaro last month. Mounjaro makes you just not hungry. I learned to be picky about what I ate. I chose healthy food and feel lighter. I have learned to be healthy and thin. Yes, I am short at 5ft 3 inches and happy to have taken Mounjaro."

"The injection is great for weight loss. I lost 45 lbs in about 9 months. Don't taper up every month. Only go up and stay at that dose as long as possible. Involve a nutritionist or dietitian to help you from the beginning understand how to approach food so you can get off the med. I'm barely eating anything, and when I tried stopping, the appetite comes back ferociously. I am now considered anorexic and having the nutritionist help me taper off the med. I pray it works and I don't put too much weight back on but can eat healthily."

"I've been taking Mounjaro 2.5mg for 3 weeks now, and have lost a total of 22 lbs. When they say it kills the appetite, they aren't kidding! I struggle to get 800 calories a day, and most of the time, those are either from salad dressings or protein shakes. The side effects aren't horrible, just not fun either. The first 3 days after my shot, I've got constipation and no appetite at all, those are the days when I'll have a single 32 mg protein shake for the day - if I take in anything else, I feel like I've overeaten and get bloated and slightly nauseous - not worth it. Day 4 I start to feel really queasy and can't even stomach my shake. Day 5 comes the diarrhea, for the entire day. Day 5 and 6 I feel pretty good. I know it's a lot, but the symptoms haven't really caused me to do anything different - other than consumption of food. I live off of Gin-Gin chews (ginger chews) for the symptoms, and they are enough to keep everything at a low-grade annoyance."

"I am starting my 3rd month on Mounjaro. I have been overweight/obese most of my adult life. I have lost some weight but not as much as I expected. I feel terrible - I suffer with exhaustion, constipation, indigestion, depression, and nausea. I just do not feel good. It has sucked the joy out of my life. I used to exercise much more when I was not taking Mounjaro. I don't want to do anything. I am wondering if it is worth it?"

"In October 2022, I was pre-diabetic. My daughter had good luck with Mounjaro, so I went to my doctor to ask her if it might work for me. I am a 65-year-old female. I am 5'2" tall and weighed 182 lbs and wear size 16. I started Mounjaro in the middle of October 2022. Today, April 27, 2023, I weigh 122 lbs and wear a size 4. I am now just trying to maintain my weight. The side effect that I experienced was constipation, as I would only have a bowel movement once a week. I rarely experience hunger and have to remind myself to eat. I do not crave sugar or any other food. I started on the 2.5 mg dosage for a couple of months and then went to the 5 mg dosage for two months. I have been on 7.5 mg for the last few months. I stopped my acid reflux medicine last month and have not experienced any acid reflux since I stopped it. I have so much more energy now and feel great. I would highly recommend Mounjaro, it has changed my life."

"I started Mounjaro for weight loss on 10/10/2023 and have lost 23 pounds as of 11/04/2023. I feel full most of the time, so my food intake has decreased. I am paying more attention to my eating habits. I eat more liquid meals with lots of protein, healthy snacks, and greatly lowered my salt intake while drinking lots of water daily. I have increased my exercise because I know I need to tone and firm along the journey. I feel so much better on the days that I exercise. My side effects have been nausea and extreme fullness. Sipping protein shakes and herbal tea with mint help soothe the stomach on those days of nausea. I highly recommend this drug for weight loss. I have seen others with amazing results."

"Miracle breakthrough drug. I am 64 years old with several chronic maladies over most of the last 40 years. Triglycerides are now normal at 125, were 250 to 700 for the last 20 years. Down 50 lbs in seven months from 300, without much effort. Pain is down/activity is up. Thank you, Eli Lilly, for saving my life and reversing the aging process!"

"Obesity runs on my father's side, and my weight gain has been a lifelong struggle. I did my best, but by reaching 275 lbs at 50 years old, I knew I needed something more than all the traditional weight loss programs. I began taking Mounjaro in Nov 2022. My doctor did a low dose to start (1.5 mg). I experienced the more common side effects: sulfurous belching, heartburn, constipation for a day or two after the weekly injection, stomach feeling sour, etc. I manage these symptoms with my doctor's OTC recommendations. We advanced to a 5.0 mg dose, and I continue to experience these side effects, but they are becoming more manageable. It's the end of April, and I've lost 40 lbs so far. I have more energy, manage my diet better/easier, and make better eating choices. I have just begun to experience hair loss, and after reading the other reviews, I feel better knowing it too will pass. Please know your reviews, including side effects, successes, and thoughts, have been a huge help. ~Thanks"

"I have been on Mounjaro for 3 weeks (2.5 mg injection), and it has helped me tremendously. I started out at 333 lbs. Now I weigh 319 lbs. I feel full for longer. Just feel tired a lot, but I take vitamins and something for energy, so that has helped. I take stool softeners so I won't get constipated. I had a slight headache for a couple of days when I first started, but not bad. I don't crave snacks, caffeine, or sweets like I used to on a daily basis. If I even overeat a little, I feel miserable, so I have to watch that. Managing your portions is very important. I'm doing better with that now. It doesn't take much for me to eat and drink to be satisfied. My BP has been good. My doctor said I may be able to get off BP meds soon. I am so grateful for this new med. Can't wait to move up to the next dosage."

"I have been losing about 2 lbs per week since I started using this. I was 170 lbs when I started and am down to 149 lbs over a period of 10 weeks. I was on the 2.5 mg for the first 4 weeks and then increased to 5 mg after that. It has taken away the 'food noise' where I am no longer preoccupied with what I'm going to eat and when. I have had a major decrease in appetite and there are days when I will only have a milkshake and not be hungry for anything else."

"I've used Mounjaro for 2 weeks. I've lost 8 lbs. It's crazy how it completely takes your appetite away. You rarely think of food or hunger. You have to make yourself eat. When I eat I can only eat about 1/2 to 3/4 cup of food. It feels like that is all you can fit in your stomach. Side effects.. some insomnia, a lot stomach acid, nausea. But it has re-risen some panic attack issues and unfortunately some dark thoughts which may be the reason I stop taking it. For me this little experiment has shown me that my weight is indeed too many calories. I LOVE not thinking about food or feeling hungry but the psychological side effects may end my experience."

"I took my first injection on April 20, and the second injection on April 27. On April 20, I had shortness of breath, which increased dramatically. Ended up in the hospital on April 22 for the day. Shortness of breath continued. Took another injection on April 27. That night, I looked at my calendar and realized that I had done activities without shortness of breath the week of April 17, 18, and 19 with no problem. I took an injection at about 9 AM on the 20th and was short of breath by 10:30 AM that day. The endocrinologist says it takes 4-6 weeks to exit the body. My symptoms did NOT improve until the 4th week, and then they have improved only slightly. I can't walk 40 ft without sitting down to catch my breath. Before the 4th week, it was 20 ft. Praying that at the end of 6 weeks, my breathing will return to normal. Also, many instances of BP under 90/57. When this happens, I am exhausted, have to drink 8-12 oz water, and lay down for at least an hour with feet elevated to get BP up to acceptable levels. No weight loss."

"I started out one month ago on the lowest dose of 2.5. I could tell after a few weeks that my hunger had diminished a bit, and I felt a lot less bloated. By the 4th week, I was feeling extremely cold and fatigued and had lost 5 lbs. I just started this week on the next dosage of 5.0 and am hoping for more weight loss. I barely have an appetite, and nothing really sounds good to me other than apples. Thankfully, my glucose readings have come down, and I'm not needing as much insulin. I’m very hopeful that my A1C will be much better on my next labs."

"I've been on Mounjaro for 12 weeks and I've lost 25kg (55lbs). Currently in the last week of 7.5mg. No major side effects, but I do have dry mouth (very, very dry mouth and throat) and dry lips, but other than that, nothing major. I have noticed on the 7.5mg the weight has drastically come off, in one week, I lost 7.5kg (16lbs), and in a couple of days, a further 4kg, but honestly, I can't complain!"

"After years of dealing with type 2 diabetes and taking metformin, I finally managed to get my numbers under control long enough to get off the daily meds and control my condition with a proper diet. At the age of 68, after about 15 years of being quite obese and discussing the matter with my doctor, I began using Mounjaro. I started with a low-dose weekly injection and in a few months worked my way up to the full recommended dosage of 15 MG/0.5ML per week. It's been less than a year and I have lost 110 lbs and feel fantastic with no noticeable side effects. Mounjaro was not the first medication I tried, but it was the first one to really give me results. I chuckle at other meds I hear jingles about on television commercials and have my own jingle that comes to mind for Mounjaro every time, and I can't get it out of my head."

"Diet, exercise & 1,000 mg of Metformin twice per day has not improved the quality of my life. My disciplined efforts kept me in a pre-diabetes state & made me insulin resistant, worsening my other health conditions. To improve the quality of my life & afford access to a drug that might help control my glucose & worsening health issues, I sold my car & now pay approximately $1,000 per month out of pocket for Mounjaro. It has changed my life! No more blurry vision due to fluctuating glucose levels. My energy level is consistent. I’m able to start exercising, as well as participating in family activities. I’m slowly but steadily losing weight which I believe will improve other health issues such as high cholesterol, blood pressure, insulin resistance, beginning signs of neuropathy in legs, and exercise intolerance. The good news is that as a pre-diabetic, Mounjaro helps my body properly utilize glucose. Sadly, I can't continue due to the cost, but Mounjaro WORKS & gives back hope!"

"Taking for obesity. Has reduced my appetite but not as dramatically as others here. I eat about 500 fewer calories per day than I used to, thanks to the reduction in appetite. I have lost 16 pounds in 18 weeks. The only side effect is constipation, but as long as I eat a salad and oatmeal daily, that is no longer a problem. Stats: Female, age 56, 5’1”. Starting weight 183. Current weight 167. Started on 2.5. Now on 7.5. Hoping to lose another 45 pounds."

"Been on Mounjaro since 9/11/22. Today is 3/4/23. I have lost close to 60 lbs and went from a pant size 46 down to 40. My wife says I “lost my tire” looking at me from behind. Started at 2.5 dose. Was dizzy and unsteady in the early days. Headache and nausea till my body acclimated. Switched my shot day to Friday night so if I’m not feeling great, it’s the weekend and not impacting work. Worked up to 5.0 then 7.5. Did each for 8 weeks instead of 4 to level off the side effects. Wanted to stay at that level, but no one can get it. Took my first 10.0 shot last night. So far so good. All my levels are great. Sulfur burps if I overeat. Am also doing Herbalife shakes 2 times a day and having a sensible dinner. I still snack after dinner, but nothing crazy. Exercise 5/6 times per week. I think 7.5 should be my maintenance dose, but again, no one can get it. Will trade the mild side effects for being able to fit into my clothes."

"I've been a yo-yo dieter for as long as I can remember. This is by far the best thing I've tried. I lost 11 lbs in the first week, this really does work to decrease your appetite! My diet doctor gives me injections and told me to follow what is essentially a keto diet (no carbs or sugar - 8 oz of protein and as many veggies as you want), in conjunction with intermittent fasting (16 hours fasting, 8 hours allowed to eat). There is NO WAY I'd make it through 16 hours of not eating without this! I feel very slight nausea sometimes after I eat, but not enough to affect my day-to-day activities. This is a game changer if you have struggled to lose weight as I have!"

"You do lose weight, but the waves of nausea, vomiting, severe constipation, and hypoglycemia are so unpleasant, and if you escalate and find it too much - it lasts for a whole week. Consider liraglutide daily, much easier to titrate, and if you escalate and find it too much, you can lower down and only have one day of downtime."
