Ozempic (semaglutide) for Cardiovascular Risk Reduction "Unbelievable medicine - although I was supposed to start with a 0.25 dose and move up to 0.5, I never did. I have stayed on the 0.25 dose and feel amazing. I have lost 30 lbs, don’t have any bad taste in my mouth, no bloating or excess gas. Actually, I can’t find anything bad to say about this medication other than it is expensive. I feel better than I have in years, and my A1C is unbelievable! Keep it up but please make it cheaper!"

Wegovy (semaglutide) for Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I have been on Wegovy for 5 months. I have nothing but good things to say about it. I have lost almost 50 lbs and it has given me my life back. I was overweight and depressed for years after having my last child. The only side effect I have had is some occasional constipation. This medication is amazing!"

Ozempic (semaglutide) for Diabetes, Type 2 "I’ve been on Ozempic for 6 months. I had gestational diabetes with both children so I know I have an increased risk of type 2. I had bloodwork done and unsurprisingly my fasting sugar was high, but my A1C was high normal. My doctor prescribed Ozempic and I am currently at 1mg/week. Results: blood sugar in perfect range, lost 20 pounds (15% body weight), loss of sense of taste for tons of foods, alcohol aversion. All in all, I’m far healthier but I do miss enjoying food. I wonder if this is sustainable long term. Time will tell."

Rybelsus (semaglutide) for Diabetes, Type 2 "I first took the 3mg dose for 30 days. I had no side effects, and it is really controlling my appetite. Now I am on 7mg. So far, my weight was 242. I have been on Rybelsus for about 4 months, and my weight now is 215. I'm hoping to lose more. No side effects, feel better, light food craving. I hope to stay on this for 4 more months. Thanks Rybelsus. Joe C."

Wegovy (semaglutide) for Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I started Wegovy on 05/01/23. I weighed 312 lbs and I'm only 5'8" tall. As of 01/01/24, I am down 80 lbs and still going. I've had no side effects and my plan is to lose 125 lbs. The shot is painless and easy to inject. I honestly feel like I lost a whole person. My A1C went from 6.4 to 5.2. I recommend Wegovy to anyone who needs to lose weight..."

Ozempic (semaglutide) for Diabetes, Type 2 "I have been on Ozempic for 2.5 weeks now and I have lost 12 pounds. I don’t eat anything fried or greasy. I watch fat intake because this medicine can make you sick if you have too much fat in what you are eating. It can also make you sick if you overeat. If you eat small to moderate meals with light snacks in between, you will probably not have any problems. If you cannot stay away from fast food and greasy pizza, you will have a problem. I have found that this medicine makes me not as hungry. It takes the edge off. It also keeps me from craving junk. I get full at mealtime, eating less. I drink a lot of water too. I also use an app on my phone to log food, calories, and exercise. I weigh once a week. I hope this helps someone else that is considering this drug."

Wegovy (semaglutide) for Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I am in my sixth week of Wegovy (4 weeks at 0.25 and now 2 at 0.5). I am a male in my early 50s, 5'9'' with a lot of weight to lose — about 120 pounds. In the first month, I experienced no side effects apart from reduced appetite and lost 10 pounds. I had just begun dieting when I started — nothing extreme, just eliminating the worst offenders: sugar, not eating after 6pm, and portion control. I have already lost 6 pounds this month. I have experienced some mild nausea this month on the 0.5 dose, nothing close to vomiting but definitely present, especially the two days after injection. Haven't had negative reactions to specific types of food like others have had until yesterday. Had some Korean BBQ and was burping garlic all night with some intestinal discomfort - so I guess that's a no go. I am considering holding at this dose before going up again. As long as the weight loss is happening at this rate, I am not keen to risk greater side effects."

Wegovy (semaglutide) for Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I am finishing my 8th week on Wegovy. I have lost 17.1 pounds and feel amazing. I was afraid to start because of the side effects, but so far, I have been lucky and haven't had them. The best thing about Wegovy is the fact that my mind is no longer full of obsessive thoughts about food. I have lost weight a million times, but this is the first time I am aware that I am NOT thinking about food all the time. I eat really reasonable portions of food and am satisfied. No desire for extra food or snacks. It is absolutely a miracle."

Ozempic (semaglutide) for Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I never had any weight issues until I turned 60. All the weight gain seemed to go right to my stomach. No matter what I did (including exercise and diet), nothing worked to diminish the belly fat. I started taking Ozempic at 0.25mg/week for 4 injections. I lost 15 pounds on that starter dosage. I increased to 0.5mg the following month and lost another 15 pounds. I will begin the 1mg dose this weekend for the next month. The Ozempic seemed to target that subcutaneous belly fat, which is where I had the greatest weight loss. Except for a mild headache after the first dose and subsequent constipation, there were no other side effects. I took something to relieve constipation. My stomach is now almost as flat as a board, and I don’t look pregnant. I know carrying all that excess subcutaneous fat is very dangerous, and Ozempic melted that fat away. I would recommend keeping yourself very well hydrated and asking your doctor for a prescription to address the constipation. Truly amazing!"

Wegovy (semaglutide) for Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "Halfway through the 1.7mg dose. Been on for about 4.5 months. Have lost a total of 35 pounds. My weight loss has slowed down since on the 1.7 dose. Still losing but not as quickly as in the beginning. Have no real interest in food anymore. Sometimes have to eat when not hungry due to low blood sugar (had this prior to Wegovy use). Been trying to lose weight for months. Wegovy is the only thing to work for my obesity due to medical issues. Have noticed off and on fatigue, dizziness, constipation, stomach pain, gas, belching, and hair loss. Can no longer eat fried, greasy food without feeling sick, which is good. Now I want healthy food instead."

Wegovy (semaglutide) for Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "Took it for 8 weeks, made it through the 2nd titrated dose and couldn't handle it anymore. Nausea, gas, bloat, constipation, diarrhea, and it was worse at night while lying down. Never improved, but actually got worse by week 8. Not sure how anyone makes it to the full dose. Also did not drop a single pound. There were days I only consumed 600 calories and still felt awful. I read another review very similar and agree that you absolutely cannot eat anything spicy. Bland food days were better but there are not enough antacids and constipation meds in the world to make me want to lose 20 pounds this badly. Took my last dose 10 days ago and am still dealing with residual GI upset. Hope physicians are more forthcoming about the side effects and do not tell patients they happen but subside in a couple of days - they do not."

Rybelsus (semaglutide) for Diabetes, Type 2 "My doctor put me on Rybelsus in March/April 2020. I will admit the nausea was pretty bad for about the first month, but I stuck to it because it was really working well on my blood sugar. Since I started, I have lost 42 lbs! I have not been dieting, but I do have some outdoor projects that required physical labor, like shoveling dirt, clearing brush, moving stones, etc. The nausea only comes back when my sugar is low and I really need to eat. I don’t even get a growling stomach anymore. I would recommend Rybelsus to anyone looking to manage their blood sugar and lose some weight."

Ozempic (semaglutide) for Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I have been taking Ozempic since 12/22. I was put on this injectable drug due to obesity, high cholesterol, and borderline high blood pressure plus pre-diabetic. I have lost 30 lbs. so far. I am more than pleased that my cholesterol is now 180 from 270 on medication. I have never been below 200 total cholesterol in my life! I have had no symptoms taking Ozempic except a little indigestion the first month. It is very convenient to use (inject once a week), and the needle is so thin (less than a hair) you don’t even feel it. I had tried every diet, exercise, and fasting to lose weight and get my cholesterol under control. Ozempic is the only thing that has worked."

Wegovy (semaglutide) for Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "First, I wanted to say... I was TERRIFIED to start Wegovy because of all the negative reviews about side effects, but I convinced myself to focus on the positive reviews which outweighed the negative ones. I started Wegovy 3 weeks ago at 0.25 mg. I will be taking my 4th dose of 0.25 mg this week. I usually take it on Fridays around 9:30 pm so I can sleep off any side effects and then relax on the weekend. So far, I have experienced mild side effects on the second day after the first and second shot - nausea, light headache, a little dizziness, and dry mouth that lasted for maybe 1 to 2 hours. Side effects were manageable with Motrin/Tylenol and Pepto Bismol. I haven't had any major side effects. I weighed 210 when I started, and I weighed 199.5 this morning, so that's almost 11 pounds down in 3 weeks. I am happy I decided to not let the negative reviews discourage me from trying Wegovy. All I wanted to see was a weight under 200 pounds! I will start 0.5 mg in 2 weeks - will update again."

Wegovy (semaglutide) for Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I was 182lbs and have been on Wegovy for about 4 months. I am now 168lbs. I was quite nauseous at the start and found that by eating a mouthful of plain bread helped with the nausea. I have also bern quite tired and although not constipated, my poops are firmer."

Wegovy (semaglutide) for Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "Started my journey 6/10/2024. It is currently 6/25/2024 and I took my 3rd shot last night. No weight loss yet but my appetite for food has completely died down. I will feel full for most of the day after eating two boiled eggs for breakfast although now I eat them for lunch bc I’m not hungry in the morning. No side effects so far, one more shot of 0.25 left then I will start the 0.5. Hopefully weight will start going down, I have always had issues losing pounds no matter how little I ate. I am 5 1, female, 37 bmi and 204 pounds. Wishing y'all and myself luck. If you’re afraid of taking your first shot, don’t be. It is virtually painless and most people don’t have side effects. I think it’s worth a shot for sure. I’ll keep y'all posted, update in a month."

Rybelsus (semaglutide) for Diabetes, Type 2 "I was very frightened after reading the reviews. I am 52 and had gained from 130 pounds to 158, the most I have ever weighed in my life. Started the 3mg 3 weeks ago and have lost 10 pounds with no side effects other than occasional slight nausea. My appetite has decreased but for the better. I am walking 3 miles a day and eating very healthy. Stopped drinking soda, now only flavored water. I consider this a miracle. Never lost weight this quickly. Happy as heck. Will continue the 3 mg and recheck A1C. So far this rocks. If it enables me to get in control of my eating and lose to a healthy weight to better my overall health, then I call it a huge success. Love, love, love it!"

Wegovy (semaglutide) for Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I have been on Wegovy for a year and 3 months and have lost 100 lbs. (started at 289 & 5'7"). I do deal with nausea, but it is controllable with Zofran so I keep that on me at all times. You are in control of how you feel by what you eat and the amount of water that you drink. Protein is key! I have dealt with a B12 deficiency since being on this med as well as hair loss. I deal with chronic pain so working out has never been easy for me. Wegovy has been a game changer and completely changed my life. I went from a 2X to a L in clothing and feel the best that I've ever felt despite the nausea."

Wegovy (semaglutide) for Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "Please do not let these reviews scare you like I almost did. I held off multiple weeks because of all these death-like reviews. Finally, when I did decide to just start—I hunkered down like the outside world was about to end. Did the world end? No. I was perfectly fine. Were there the occasional burp and heartburn? Yes. But nothing that wasn’t manageable. I’m over 14 weeks in now, and I barely have a side effect at all. My point—everyone’s body is different. Try it for yourself."

Ozempic (semaglutide) for Diabetes, Type 2 "I have tried them all! I was diagnosed with diabetes at the age of 18, and I will be 40 this September. When I say I have tried them all, it’s no exaggeration, but my search stops here! This medicine has done in a couple of weeks what I have been trying to do all my adult life! My blood sugar is perfect! I actually look forward to testing my sugars throughout the day. The other day, I cheated and had a slice of caramel cheesecake. Normally, this would spike my blood sugars well over 250, but when I tested my sugar one hour after consumption, I was at 132! It only got lower as the night went on! This is some good stuff! I am so happy my doctor recommended this for me! I’m in love! I’m finally optimistic about my future with this dreadful disease."

Wegovy (semaglutide) for Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I tried everything, almost getting gastric sleeve surgery. Thanks to my cardiologist, even my heart is fine, he doesn't want to give me clearance for the operation. He recommended Wegovy. I think this is the best decision I ever made. I started on November 2nd, 2023, and until now, December 20th, I have lost an incredible 30 pounds. I now eat only two times a day. I used to eat lots of sweet stuff, but not anymore. No more late eating. I eat very small portions and I feel full all day. I love you, Wegovy, it's real. I am on a 1mg dosage. I was 331 pounds and now I am 301 pounds, with a goal to lose 40 more pounds by July. Good luck everyone, there's a chance because of Wegovy."

Wegovy (semaglutide) for Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I’m on the starter dose 0.25 mg. I have had zero side effects. Mild nausea in a car - not sure if related? No real appetite, but I am able to eat. No food aversions, but no cravings. I didn’t want a glass of wine after work. My clothes already feel different after 2 weeks. I’m so thankful to be on this journey as my primary did not support me asking for help losing weight. I do not overeat or have issues with food. I had a fractured knee, then a hip replacement, and then two fractured ankles. I was unable to move normally for 2.5 years and gained about 50 lbs. The weight gain brought on joint pain, trouble breathing, sleep apnea, afib, raised blood pressure, and cholesterol. Hopefully in 6 months, I will be down 40-50 lbs."

Ozempic (semaglutide) for Diabetes, Type 2 "My husband began taking Ozempic for his Type 2 diabetes several months ago and experienced minimal unpleasant side effects. His food consumption is down approximately 2/3 (no more 'first breakfast and second breakfast' and 'first dinner and second dinner') and he has been able to reduce his diabetes medications. He has been steadily losing excess weight. A bonus is the chronic loose stools he used to suffer have been eliminated. I started taking Ozempic for my Type 2 diabetes 6 weeks ago. My food consumption is down significantly and I've been able to discontinue all other diabetes medications. I've had some slight nausea and a mild bit of constipation, both of which have been easily alleviated through dietary changes (much smaller meals, more fiber and more spicy food). We absolutely love this medication."

Wegovy (semaglutide) for Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I'm on my 13th week at 1mg now. I love it. Yes, I was nauseated at first, but the quick weight loss results made me want to continue. At this dosage, I am not really hungry for food, and if I do feel hungry, it doesn't take much food for me to feel satisfied. I have really cut my portions and also use high fiber, high protein foods. Constipation is real; people, laxatives help. I make good food choices now and am down 25 lbs. I want to keep going, but the coupon has run out, and now my out-of-pocket cost with insurance is around $900. I am so disappointed to have to stop and worried about gaining back or not losing anymore. Novo really needs to make this affordable. The price is ridiculous, and millions of people are dying from comorbidities to obesity every day. I have high-end insurance, and still cannot afford the copays."

Wegovy (semaglutide) for Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I started off taking Ozempic then switched over to Wegovy. I only experienced mild side effects such as nausea and headaches in the beginning of starting these meds. This medication worked for me and helped me lose over 60 lbs. In the past, I have tried numerous diets, supplements, bariatric surgery, and programs to help me lose weight and all failed. This is the only medication that truly worked for me and I'm so glad that I was able to tolerate it. Life-changing experience for me."
