For Dissolution of Dermal Filler "Hyaluronidase is awful. Zero accountability from doctors and zero support from anyone in the medical system once it began destroying my natural tissues/body and overall health. The stress and trauma from being refuted and disbelieved is something that, even if my body entirely recovered, I would never entirely recover from. Anyone reading this MUST know there are ZERO studies regarding the safety profile for dissolving filler using this product. It is an enzyme and is catalytic, and in thousands, it is causing a cascade of immunological issues along with facial deformity/structural issues (jaw problems from the soft tissue and ligaments changing). I am now on disability payments due to how severely systemically unwell I am. I had my upper lip dissolved only. The first expose on the realities of this product has been released on VICE, and I encourage anyone considering this drug to read it. This drug is not FDA approved for this purpose, my life as I knew it is over."

For Dissolution of Dermal Filler "Hyaluronidase ruined my life. I was a beautiful young lady, 25 years old, with tight, thick skin and a natural face contour. Now, my face and neck are saggy with fat atrophy on cheeks, saggy cheeks, skin laxity, no jawline, and double chin. I look 25 years older than my real age, and the damage is irreversible. Stay away from it."

For Dissolution of Dermal Filler "This substance is very intelligent and extremely evil. I'm 5 months in and no signs of withdrawal. It attacks in sessions - you never know where the next attack will be. My whole body is affected - now my joints and tendons. Eyes totally destroyed. I went from 100% working to being disabled overnight. Ugly big brown spots on my skin are emerging from nowhere. Facial skin always edematous and jelly-like. The palms of my hands have dried out and the skin on the tops of my hands is wrinkly and loose. Skin collapses on top of blood vessels, making them bulge on my hands and feet. The burning pain and agony are unbearable due to the targeted slow process. The substance is hiding and is manufactured to look like the body's own. Doctors will never find it and will give you substitute explanations. Not sure I will survive this. There's no antidote existing."

For Dissolution of Dermal Filler "I recently had filler excess dissolved from under my eyes. I took initial swelling and discoloration as due to the lidocaine mixed in, but am wondering if it was another side effect from hyaluronidase. I am very sad to say I truly regret having this injected. It's been about 45 days, and my under-eyes are not only sunk in at the outer corners, but I also have huge bags as if they were herniated due to the loss of connective tissue. I had my 2-week follow-up appointment, and we were happy with the dissolving results, except that it kept dissolving. Another 2 weeks, and I returned for a refill and mentioned the bags. I think what hurt me the most was how the injector completely dismissed me and implied that I probably did something to my eyes as they looked so different than the last visit. Regardless, as so many other women here, I am now on a quest to find a solution. It's very unfortunate that injectors and doctors use this drug all the time without understanding how terrible it can be."

For Dissolution of Dermal Filler "This was used to dissolve filler. Unfortunately, an inept doctor overcorrected my tear through, and after 5 months and asking colleagues who supposedly knew, they didn't tell me anything about the side effects. I wanted to put fewer units, but the doctor who did it told me that it was little, a disaster. I am a doctor, and there aren’t articles that mention the loss of tissue or skin, the doctors do not say it. It can only be used in an emergency."

For Dissolution of Dermal Filler "I treated my under-eye filler with hyaluronidase. It resulted in hyperpigmentation and loss of tissue under my eyes. I experienced a bad hollow. Dermatologists asked me to fill the hollow with filler again after 10 days, and I did. Very worried about my own skin and this color that I have now. I don't know what to do now."

For Dissolution of Dermal Filler "Hyaluronidase must be used with caution. All too often, doctors or dermatologists inject far too much when trying to dissolve filler! They are just too heavy-handed! Also, it must be dissolved in enough saline! Sometimes it's too concentrated or not dissolved properly before being injected! Please ensure you see a reputable and knowledgeable practitioner and ask them to proceed slowly - bit by bit at a time! And wait a few days in between to see the effect. I hope this helps a bit. I used it to dissolve filler, and it worked fine. But use caution."

For Dissolution of Dermal Filler "This product has devastated many users. It most certainly can and does destroy your own tissue. There needs to be more disclosure about it. It can melt connective tissue and cause significant sagging on the tissues, especially in the face. It's criminal that people are injecting this stuff into others without fully disclosing the risks."

For Dissolution of Dermal Filler "I was injected with 2 full undiluted syringes to dissolve undereye filler. The dermatologist explained to me she does this all the time with no issues. Needless to say, I was in the ER that week. The months following were horrific. Night sweats, hallucinations, gums receding and teeth numbness, nerve damage, constant blood in my nose, eyesight burning which spread from my undereyes all the way through my cheeks, then ears, then neck, then hands and legs, and what looks like feet at month 4-6. Fat became jellylike. At month 4, I had a reaction from something I ate, the whole inside of my nose and around burned and scabbed up. I'm 6 months in, and the systemic issues are out of this world. Constant infections, hair falling out, eyelash loss, cartilage changes in nose and ears, skin on the whole body is becoming loose. Joint pain, head pressure, etc., etc., etc."

For Dissolution of Dermal Filler "I used hyaluronidase to dissolve filler under my eye before my facelift and was left with dark pigmentation that I did not have beforehand. I read all these comments, and I’m wondering if anyone has contacted a lawyer? The pharmaceutical company doesn’t have a warning label."

For Dissolution of Dermal Filler "I had this to remove dermal filler under the eyes and cheeks. The dermatologist used too much hyaluronic acid-based filler in my tear troughs, cheeks, and mouth. I had two sessions of hyaluronidase treatments in these areas to remove it. After the first session, I noticed crepey skin under the eyes and was horrified. I did not have this prior to treatment. I mentioned this to my doctor, and he said it was temporary. Time has gone by, and it’s not temporary. I’m so distressed. I’ve aged 10 years in a month. Some of the overfill was removed, but not all. I would never agree to hyaluronidase treatment again. The doctor should cautiously inject dermal fillers to avoid overfill. Hyaluronidase treatment will permanently wrinkle your skin and create hollows under the eyes."

For Dissolution of Dermal Filler "I had too much filler in my cheeks under my eyes and had hyaluronidase injected to remove it. Within days, I felt a burning pain sensation in the sinus and nose, and within a month, my inner eye caved in, I had dark areas of skin and nose depletion. After 5 months, I am still in pain."

For Dissolution of Dermal Filler "If your doctor tells you it's safe, run! I thought I could take a risk, that it's used all the time. I saw these reviews, but my doctor promised he's never seen any side effects. These past two months have been hell. I've had face burning, head burning, eye burning, dry eye, fatigue, terrible eye bags, volume loss, saggy skin. I don't recognize myself anymore. I am getting tested for nerve damage this week. If things don't get better, I don't know how I can live like this."

For Dissolution of Dermal Filler "I got hyaluronidase two separate times in my upper lip to dissolve the migrated filler. It destroyed my lip tissue. I have dents in the places she injected, I'm not sure if she did it unevenly or put too much, but the corners of my mouth dropped and my cheeks sagged. I have parentheses lines around my mouth I didn't have before because of the sagging. It aged me 10 years. I have barcode lines on my upper lip as well. I'm disfigured. I look much, much worse than I did with migrated filler. I regret so much, I went into a depression. I look so bad, it looks so strange. I used to be a beautiful girl, I was a model. And now my looks are gone at 35. I was not told this could happen, I was told I look the same as before the filler. My injector admitted it dissolved my natural tissue and I lost structural support. It continues to get worse over time. This filler was 10 years old. It did not dissolve on its own like I was told it would. My quality of life is significantly affected."

For Dissolution of Dermal Filler "Hyaluronidase ruined my skin. It was injected to reverse a tiny bit of misplaced filler (0.6ml filler). My skin became sunken and squishy at first. Over the next 12 months, my face and nose drooped and became long. My neck wrinkled up. The subtle curves of my face disappeared to a flattened look. When I leaned my hand against my face, my skin would roll up like a Shar-Pei dog. Then my skin thinned all over and I looked something like a meth addict. When it was injected, I had no idea it could damage me. It’s a super ager. Don’t let this stuff near you."

For Dissolution of Dermal Filler "Had the filler under my eyes dissolved with a small amount of hyaluronidase. My skin has never been the same! I have hollowing at my temples, sagging in my jawline, dry flaky skin, and orange peel texture that I never had before! Not to mention gaping hole underneath my eyes, my tear trough. Please do not allow this product to be used on you!"

For Dissolution of Dermal Filler "When I was 27 years old, I made the decision to dissolve the filler in my face, as I had always looked younger than my age. However, the enzyme used in the process ended up melting my face, and the doctor injected too much of it. Despite the passage of several years, my face has not fully recovered. I still have dents and sagging caused by the enzyme, and my entire scalp has shrunk. My family and relatives frequently comment on how saggy my face looks. My coworkers have said that I look much older, and members of the opposite gender are no longer interested in me. I experience a lot of rejection now, before, I was able to attract anyone I wanted. This experience has had both emotional and physical consequences that have persisted for years. Now that I am in my 30s, aging has hit me much harder than my peers, as my face was already compromised and sagging. I strongly advise others to stay away from this procedure."

For Dissolution of Dermal Filler "I really got lied to right to my face and asked repeatedly if it could hurt my eyes. I specifically asked because they shoot it with a cannula right towards your eyes to remove eye filler. Then later talked down to by another nurse injector. Vitrase ruined my eyes and stole my vision. It's left me with constant eye itching, and I cannot wear makeup. Dry eye and corneal inflammation. Skin inflammation that doesn't stop. I am so sad. They didn't tell me anything like this could even happen. That it was safe for the eyes, well it isn't, I have read lots of articles about the damage it can do to the cornea. Not to mention what it's done to my face and self-confidence. And now I cannot even see, even with glasses. It is not even FDA approved for this use. It's also cost me more money than I can say because of all the medications and doctors to try and fix my eyes."

For Dissolution of Dermal Filler "I had a full vial of Hyalase injected to dissolve 1.5 ml of filler. Less than 2 months later, it caused my temples to sink in and hollow. It has also sunken in my cheeks and resulted in stretchy skin. Other, more mild side effects include blurred vision and thin skin that sags, hollowing of eyes, and pitting edema. Do NOT ever risk using this product, the effects are highly unpredictable. I feel as though it has resulted in rapid aging within months. I’ve been researching, and many people have experienced ongoing deformation of their faces for up to 3 years. I am so afraid it will cause my face to collapse, and I wouldn’t want anyone else to experience this. The product is NOT TGA or FDA approved for aesthetic use. Instead, it is used off the shelf when it comes to dissolving filler. Hyaluronidase is also known to play a role in cancer. It’s simply a dangerous product, and its current use is entirely irresponsible and should be made illegal for use in cosmetics."

For Dissolution of Dermal Filler "I dissolved my fillers 7 months ago, and my face aged drastically. Now it seems like the volume is coming back, but suddenly I developed arrhythmia. The doctors cannot find a reason for the arrhythmia after many checkups. I suspect it has something to do with hyaluronidase. I researched, and I discovered that there are hyaluronidase inhibitors like quercetin. I will give it a try, and I will send an update. It seems that turmeric and chondroitin inhibit its activity, too. I am also doing a colon cleanse, trying to get hyaluronidase out of the system. I hope this information will help others. I am still researching ways to get it out of my system. It seems that blueberries and green tea help, too. I will continue with research, there should be something that can help to get it out of the system."

For Dissolution of Dermal Filler "I have been systematically damaged by Hylenex after getting my lip filler dissolved. What was supposed to be 'safe' and 'effective' has changed my life for the worse. I’m 30 years old, and my facial skin is loose, very thin, textured, saggy, my eyelids are covered in veins and have lost their almond shape. My entire face has sunken and dropped. The skin on my body is thin and see-through, you can now see veins everywhere where you couldn’t before. It’s especially noticeable on my hands, chest, and feet. I have a greyish hue to my skin. I was never told this could happen from dissolver and have been dismissed by doctors. This has been an incredibly traumatic experience, and it doesn’t appear I will get any sort of help. Please think twice before dissolving. I’d only use it in an emergency setting. My situation was not an emergency, I just didn’t like how the filler was placed. I’d much rather have wonky filler than this. I don’t know how much longer I can bear this."

For Dissolution of Dermal Filler "I got a tiny amount injected in my top lip to dissolve an unwanted amount of filler, and I ended up with systemic damage throughout my whole body. My face completely collapsed, and all of my tissues feel like they’re tender and are really porous. My gums hurt, my eyes have shrunk and caved into my skull. I lost my whole identity to this enzyme, and I don’t know how much time I have left to live if this damage doesn’t stop since it feels like it is dissolving me while I am alive. The safety regulations regarding this drug as a dermal filler dissolver do not exist, and I am scared it won’t be for years. All I can say is do not under any circumstances use hyaluronidase."

For Dissolution of Dermal Filler "I had hyaluronidase (Hylenex) in my nasal fold area. Day 2, I had itchy eyes, almost dermatitis-looking, and that evening, I couldn’t sleep. I had pain in my head like someone was squeezing it, and tingling in my nose. The next day, I had weird skin indentions like I had slept on it, but I hadn’t slept there. These lines come and go. I got a double steroid shot day 5. I am still having pressure in my head, my eyes have sunk in some due to tissues being dissolved. It took all my filler out everywhere and then my own. This stuff is toxic and evil. Has anyone tried a SOT treatment? I’ve read there's a place in Poland that supposedly treats this. Does anyone have anything that helped this? I want to get this out of my body ASAP????"

For Dissolution of Dermal Filler "Shocked at so many scary reviews and sad for people’s negative experiences. I personally have had hyaluronidase for filler dissolving on around 6 different occasions over 4 years for lip, chin, jaw dissolving with no issues at all. Had tiny swelling, minimal bruising which went away within a few days to a week maximum. Also went to different injectors for dissolving with the same results. Noticed no difference in my skin's elasticity, texture, etc., apart from with lips, but they then went back to normal after a few days. I was patch tested each time and only proceeded following no reaction after around 20 minutes."
