For Vaginal Yeast Infection "This medication is not a joke, I kid you not. I was able to take only 2 of 3 prescribed pills of 150 mg of this chemical for a very bad vaginal yeast infection brought on by antibiotic use, and I regret that I took this. One single pill caused pounding headaches, extreme nausea, tachycardia, chills, cold and hot flushes, profuse sweating, depression, explosive diarrhea, no appetite, fatigue, pale skin, dizziness, chest tightness, panic attacks, mental confusion, and nightmares. I felt like I was in a living nightmare or in a horror movie. That said, it did not even touch my burning, itchy, and violently discharging vagina. Even more, my vagina felt numb on this pill, and no sexual pleasure, even my poor boyfriend started to think that I was going to have a normal vagina and enjoy sex. I will never take this chemical again in my system. Now taking Candex with a probiotic and a yeast-free diet seems to be working. Hoping to bring my vagina into this world again."

Fluconazole for Vaginal Yeast Infection "I got one Diflucan pill to take, which I thought at first was a waste of money, but it works GREAT. The discharge and smell changed after 1 day! There were no side effects, no headaches, nausea, pain, etc. Highly recommend!"

Fluconazole for Candida Urinary Tract Infection "Amazing drug. After trying everything for a week to get rid of the worst yeast infection of my life, I was prescribed Diflucan. Within 15 minutes, no lie, yeast started dumping from my body. Kinda gross, but that's what was making me feel so horrible and frustrated. I had waited a few days after Monistat didn't work. But word to the wise, drink lots of water after you take this; there are so many toxins that get released into your body when yeast dies off, especially that fast. I drank a lot of water and didn't experience side effects or headaches with this med."

Fluconazole for Vaginal Yeast Infection "Took antibiotics and got a yeast infection, went to the Drs, they prescribed Monistat 3. Took it for the 3 days, still was experiencing a lot of itching and burning. Went back to the Drs, she prescribed the one-dose pill. Took it Thursday afternoon, felt nausea, had headaches, and stomach aches (side effects), but helped with the burning pain by the next day. It's now Sunday, and the itching, burning, and pain are back. Going back to the Drs tomorrow for the 3rd time in 2 and a half weeks. So want this to go away. Feeling like I need to get a second opinion."

For Esophageal Candidiasis "I was so scared of this one-dose pill because of some of these reviews that I almost talked myself out of taking it despite desperately needing it. So glad I took it! I ended up cutting it in half, took one around 8:30 a.m., experienced some nausea which could have turned to vomiting if I had anything in my stomach. Took the next at noon, experienced some random mild belly cramping - nothing unbearable. It's now almost 6 p.m. and I've got a very mild headache with some random light itching. Absolutely nothing major, and the best news ever is I finally got to eat without choking! I'll update if anything significant happens, otherwise... Just take the pill. You've got it because you need it. I've also been taking Nystatin 4x daily with it and am normally very anti-medication/Dr. Phobic/side effect sensitive. Don't let reviews upset you. Some of them sound exaggerated anyway."

For Fungal Infections "Avoid this medicine. I was so naive. I wanted to try a 'real' treatment for my fungal issues and ended up with the most depressed, dysphoric 'life is hell' state I have ever felt in 20 years. Followed with a severe cold + intense coughs + pains + severe chills + headaches + chest soreness + fever + odd taste in mouth. I thought I might even die because it was really starting to hurt a lot during coughing. Day 6 I'm getting a bit better, but still pretty brutal mood. I hope there is no long-term damage from this disgusting pharma drug. I took 50 mg twice. Day 1 not too bad. Day 2 all went downhill."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I developed thrush after taking antibiotics and was prescribed fluconazole, a single dose. As advised, I waited 24 hours after taking my last antibiotic before taking the fluconazole tablet on Saturday. Felt fine Saturday and Sunday and thought I'd escaped without any side effects. Turned out I was very wrong! On Monday, I suddenly started feeling nauseous, dizzy, and had a headache, no energy, and diarrhea. Spent most of the day lying down. That was 12 days ago, and I am still suffering symptoms of diarrhea, abdominal and back pain, mild headache, and very low energy levels. The thrush took some time to go, and I had various other side effects in the vulval and vaginal region, which, fortunately, have now gone. I am 69 years old and suffer from both IBS and CFS/ME, and this drug has clearly exacerbated both to such a degree it is significantly limiting what I can do. No way should I have been prescribed this drug, and I certainly would never take it again."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "So, after reading all of the reviews, I was extremely hesitant about trying Fluconazole 150 mg single-dose medication for a yeast infection. I am absolutely terrified of throwing up, so the idea of being terribly nauseous on top of all of the horrible other side effects people said they experienced was not something I wanted to intentionally do to myself by taking this pill. But I took a leap of faith and finally convinced myself to take the Fluconazole, fully anticipating the worst. I took it with food, and about an hour later, I noticed the slightest of headaches and a little bit of lightheadedness. That was the worst of it. I was able to go about the rest of my day forgetting that I even took the medication. I know everybody's body reacts differently to meds, but thankfully I didn’t have any crazy side effects, and best of all, it knocked the infection."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "This medicine works quickly. After taking the first pill, I swear I felt better in the first couple of hours. At the same time, take a week off because you will have explosive diarrhea, a headache, and the first day you will have flu-like symptoms (i.e., chills, nausea, fatigue, stomach ache, etc.). I slept the entire day and night, and each time I woke up, I went to the toilet to pee out of my bottom - yep, diarrhea. I also had no appetite at all, so I drank water the entire time. Talk about feeling/being bloated! Three days later I took my second pill, and the madness began all over again. My advice: Don’t do what I did. I took Amoxicillin (for pneumonia), which also gave me diarrhea for ten days; the Amoxicillin gave me a yeast infection, and I have to take Diflucan. We have to take better care of ourselves."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "As a medication, fluconazole works very well and fast. I have recurring thrush related to hormone changes from my period. So every month, just before my period, I was getting thrush. But with the first dose of meds, a pill every 3 days, then one pill weekly, it was all cleared up and gone. But by week 2 of the pill, I have horrible side effects that are still going on. I took the last pill 5 days ago (total of 5 pills now), my vagina is numb. I can't feel any sexual pleasure or orgasm. 3 days after taking the pills, I have massive watery discharge and have headaches and what feels like shortness of breath, fast chest, and twitching eyes. I think the meds are very strong and stay in your system a long time. I won't be finishing the course, which is a weekly pill for 6 months. It's too strong, and they're making me unwell. Can't wait for them to leave my system."

"I am a male. I had balanitis at the same time as my partner's yeast infection outbreak. This included redness, itchiness of the penis head, and foreskin irritation. Treated for a yeast infection as my partner has had a recurring yeast infection. My partner just finished a 3-pill treatment (one pill taken every other day) and is cleared of infection. She had no side effects. I felt a tiny bit dizzy after taking it for a few hours and just a little spacey with a mild headache. A walk to the grocery store later, and I felt fine besides the mild headache. After sleeping that night, I feel fine and my penis seems to be in good order. I know a lot of people are gonna be scared reading all these alarming reviews, but at the end of the day, you won't know how you'll react until you've taken it. It doesn't matter how many people feel ill from it; they're NOT you. I reckon most people don't seek out drug reviews when they work, just when they're scared or when they have a bad reaction. Fluconazole is as likely to give you a bad reaction as Advil or Tylenol."

For Esophageal Candidiasis "After being sick for a whole month, every test came back negative that you could think of. Finally got admitted to the hospital, and after endoscopy, found esophagus fungus. Took 200 mg of Diflucan for 14 days, which I made it to the last pill due to the horrible side effects of nausea, sick to stomach, massive headache, itching, rapid heart rate, tremors, lost taste for everything, anxiety that I have not ever had before, stomach and body pains, brain fog, dizzy. Called the GI doctor on call, and he said to stop taking the medication, then I got a letter in the mail to take 100 mg for 21 days. With these side effects, no way. But I went ahead and took 150 mg of the one I had left, and NO WAY would I ever take this again, so they called in another antifungal that was going to cost 400.00, which I have no insurance. Plus, the pharmacy said since I had these reactions, another may do the same because of the class of drugs. Can't wait for this to leave my system."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "So I was put on fluconazole for a pretty bad vaginal yeast infection. I had a mild one in the past and had taken the one-time fluconazole pill and had zero side effects. This time I had to take one pill, 150 mg initially, then one more 3 days later. After I took the first pill, I only had mild stomach pain, which wasn’t a big deal. I started getting chills on night 2 of being on it and just felt unwell. I was extremely tired all the time. A couple of hours after taking the second pill, I felt horrible. Pale, dizzy, tired, chills, feverish, numbness in my cheeks, hands, and feet. Diarrhea, bad taste in my mouth, and a headache that came and went. I contemplated going to the ER. The yeast infection is gone, so the medicine works, but the side effects were too severe and scary. I can’t wait until this poison wears off in a few days. If you have a yeast infection, I would try Monistat and stay away from this."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I haven’t had a yeast infection in years, usually when I got them it was after antibiotic usage, and some Monistat made it go away quickly, no problems. Well, this last one was the worst I ever had, it was around my urethra, so every time I peed, I wanted to cry. It started during day 4 of the flu. Not sure if it was the high fever and all the sweating, but omg. The worst I have ever had. I tried Monistat, did not touch this. Got a prescription for Diflucan, and after 24 hours, still burned a lot, but not as much. 48 hours later, was able to pee without burning! And almost completely healed. I was told only to take the 2nd if it doesn’t work by day 3, so I won’t be taking the 2nd one. But yes, it gave me a headache, but I’ll take a headache over that much pain!"

Fluconazole for Vaginal Yeast Infection "I took this pill 2 days ago. I have been sick ever since. I have an awful headache, constantly feel like throwing up, and I'm itchy. Stick to the cream, I have never had a reaction to any medications, so thought this would be fine. Don't risk it!"

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I tried the one-day Monistat, symptoms came back. Tried the seven-day Monistat, better for a few days. Symptoms came back with a vengeance! It took some days to get into my doctor, so the itching and burning were beyond intense. I’m hypersensitive to most medications and was really apprehensive about taking the pill. My lady regions were completely itch-free 8 hours later… Eureka! I am experiencing a severe headache and feel dizzy, and my brain just feels weird in general, so I’ve kept it to light duty today and drank over 80 ounces of water so far. I’m optimistic that tomorrow I’ll wake up feeling better in that regard. This medicine for a yeast infection, by far, has been the best!"

For Tinea Versicolor "I went to the dermatologist due to white patches that were developing on my skin, and he gave me this fluconazole to get rid of the excess fungi or something, but I got home and took 1 pill, and by the next morning, I was uncontrollably throwing up all day and all night with stomach pain and headache. I have taken this medicine before for the same thing but never had a reaction like this. Don't know if I will take it ever again, I just have to look like a leopard."

Fluconazole for Vaginal Yeast Infection "I had a UTI, which I’m prone to. I tend to hold my pee when I am sleeping. I know, I know, it’s a bad habit, lol. Anyways, I have Keflex for UTI, and that caused a yeast infection. I thought I’d try some Monistat 7, and it only got worse. Finally, like three days into the Monistat, I was like I have to take the Diflucan. I was putting it off because apparently it interacts with Zoloft, but I called the pharmacist, and she was like nope, you’re fine, take the pill. I would say about an hour after the pill, I felt relief. I was so freaking swollen, irritated, and just in pain down there. I literally wanted to cry before taking the pill. I'm so happy to finally feel relief. For me, I had an upset stomach for like 30 mins, then it went away. A day or two later, I had a bad headache, but took some ibuprofen. Also, the dosage was 150 mg. Took it in the afternoon, like around 3 pm. Felt relief around 5 pm. Easy to use, not messy like the cream, actually will work…"

For Candida Urinary Tract Infection "Took 1 pill (150 mg) and a few days later got terrible abdominal pain, testicular pain, headache, and dizziness. Three weeks later, I still have dizziness and minor testicular pain and swelling. The side effects are worse than the original symptoms. I would avoid this drug. It should not be over the counter and should be prescription only."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I have had recurrent yeast infections, 3 in the past 6 months. I tried OTC Monistat, it helped, but the infection came back the week before my period, 2 months in a row. That prompted me to see my MD, she gave me the one-dose treatment, and after about 3 hours of taking the pill, I had a severe headache accompanied by vertigo, which lasted for about 6 hours. It subsided with some Tylenol, and I felt a little flushed and sweaty. The headache tried to come back the next day, and again I had to take Tylenol. As for the treatment of the infection, it did knock it out, but ouch, the headache was awful."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "After having a YI for about a week, I ordered the PHD suppositories that usually work for me. They didn’t work this time. So I ordered Yeast Arrest suppositories, they worked a little. Until I asked my doctor for a prescription and she prescribed me this. 2 pills, one every 3 days. After taking the first pill, I ate before taking it, no side effects except for a headache that lasted for like 2 days. My symptoms kind of subsided but not completely. Then I took the second pill 3 days later and when I woke up, everything was 100%. I recommend!"

Fluconazole for Vaginal Yeast Infection "Glad to hear my 150 mg one-time dose can cause fatigue, tachycardia, and headache, as well as indigestion and heartburn. A lot of vague symptoms like shaking hands, burping, cold extremities too. I thought I had COVID again! I did drink alcohol on day 6 after taking it, which worsened my side effects severely. Now I know I only need to wait and drink a lot of ginger tea and water and keep my meals simple. This site helped me a lot. Don't drink alcohol with this, you'll regret it. No yeast infection, but now I feel sick three days after alcohol. It started with throbbing in my liver, then evolved 24 hours later into many minor, annoying symptoms."

Fluconazole for Tinea Versicolor "After nine years with a fungal infection on the skin, I was given 100 MG/week for a month. I already took the last pill of the course, and all it has done so far is turn the spots pink and make them slightly bigger, and some itched more often (although one looks like it's starting to disappear)! But the side effects! Oh, the side effects! After the first pill, I felt extremely dizzy, headachy, and nauseous for an hour after bedtime. The next day, I had little appetite that only recovered that evening. The next two times, I took two Rolaids, which helped with the nausea. That left the headache to contend with all day the day after I took the pill. I took two ibuprofen three times to combat the headaches on the last pill. What a joke!"

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "So, was prescribed this for a vaginal yeast infection from antibiotics. Had to take 150 mg 1st day, then another 3 days later. After 30 mins of taking it, dizziness, nausea, headache hit me. An hour later, whole body started to itch, eyes, nose, ears, tongue, throat, extreme itching and burning, itching & prickling in the anus, can't sit or lie down. Dunno if it is an allergic reaction. Next day, bad stomach & tummy cramps, bloating, gas, sweating, a bit of diarrhea, fatigue, mood swings, dp feelings, loss of appetite, cough, chest pain, flu symptoms, throat is tingling and can't eat a damn thing without choking. Literally dunno what to do. My vag is now in co-ma. Discharge went away, the itching and irritation are still there, & I'm in a lot of pain, the yeast infection is still there. Will not take the 2nd pill. Had I known the side effects, I would have flushed this pill in the toilet. I could have just cured the yeast infection naturally with a diet, probiotics, or old-fashioned Monistat."
