"First off I've been on Estarylla for 2 months now I'm 17 btw. Well what I first notice with me being on Estarylla my boobs have grown to B to C. I haven't really gaint any weight from what I have noticed, but the down part about it is, it lowers your sex-drive. But my sex-drive wasn't soo crazy in the first place because of the fear of being pregnant. Long as it works for me not getting pregnant I just gonna stay on it."

"I started taking this on the Sunday when my period started as directed. A few hours after taking the pill my whole body started tingling and I was experiencing insomnia. That night I laid still and try to ignore the tingling but it would build up and one small movement of my foot could make my entire body spasm. I had never felt this before in my life until I started taking Estarylla. I only took the pill twice and decided that I was done with not being able to sleep and constantly feeling tingly. Even after I stopped taking the pill my body was so affected by the pill that it is taking me a few days to finally flush it out of my system. Don't take Estarylla if you have the option of another birth control!!"

"I was on this pill when my local Walgreens stopped selling Milli, and this is by far the worst birth control in the world! I would get super bad migraines near my period, I would always be angry and anxious, Also, my periods were 6 days and heavy?!! I had cramps throughout every single week of the pill pack except the week after my period. Absolutely terrible!!! I have had a high heart rate from this pill. I am switched over to another pill now, so we will see what happens. DO NOT take this pill."

"If I could give this a zero I would. I should have looked up the reviews before ever taking it. 15 minutes after popping it in my mouth I'm anxious, paranoid, and sobbing over the smallest things. It has nearly destroyed my relationship and I feel absolutely insane. Unless you enjoy sobbing, lethargy, panic attacks, paranoia, and suicidal thoughts and tendencies, AVOID THIS LIKE THE PLAGUE"

"As far as Birth Control works, Estarylla does the job. For everything else it's not great. I was on Mononessa for 3 years to regulate my periods as I have PCOS. With that I never bled in between periods and I felt like myself. Then I was told Mononessa was discontinued. I was switched to another generic - Estarylla by my pharmacy and in the first month I had stomach pain but didn't bleed in between periods. I bled for about 3-5 days instead of 7 (or more). I felt more depressed and anxious than usual and had very little sex drive though. Then in the following months I would start bleeding mid week during the third week of pills, which would stop for a few days then I would get my period. It wasn't light bleeding it was heavy bleeding with clots. After 4 months of that I couldn't take it anymore and asked to switch. I don't know if what I am switched to will be better but I wasn't happy with this medication at all."

"This has to be the WORST pill I ever taken! I was on Femynor right after I gave birth in October and had no problems. No side effects NOTHING. Until one day I went to pick my new pack up and this what what they gave me at the pharmacy. I’ve only been taking this pill for 3 weeks and I’m unmotivated to do anything and constantly tired. The nurse told me it’s the same pill and nothing would change, but that’s a lie. I’ve had a migraine for 3 weeks straight!! I’ve been trying to hold out but I can’t. It’s awful and I’m going back to Femynor. I should have to keep taking Tylenol for pain! I’m getting off Estarylla next month. I’ll rate this pill a 0 if I could. It’s true when they say you HAVE to find a pill that your body likes."

"Been on this birth control for years and haven’t had many problems. I noticed a bit more mood changes when I started, but I also started college and was in a stressful time during the first few years I took it. Not sure if I can blame the birth control or life itself. Was on Sprintec before it got randomly changed to this but they’ve treated me the same."

"I had been wondering what was going on when I started vomiting and being nauseous when I started this pill last month. I thought it was something else. But now I have had extreme depression and moodiness and constant migraines, and I came here to see that it’s likely this pill. I didn’t get pregnant so that’s a win, but I am miserable all the time so I am taking myself off this asap."

"I have been on Estarylia birth control since January when my doctor switched me to a less hormone pill due to some issues I was having with my previous birth control. I have been experiencing headaches, fatigue, weight gain and depression. Then On Feb 26 2019 I found out I was pregnant - yes I got pregnant on Estarylia. I do not like this pill and the way it made me feel. I am usually pretty happy and this pill has changed me in multiple ways."

"Side effects: migraines every day, gained 25 pounds in 5 months without any lifestyle change, low libido, anxiety, mood swings, horrible menstrual bleeding, tender boobs, but I had GREAT SKIN???, inability to fall asleep...stopped taking this pill in June (now December) have lost 20 pounds without lifestyle change, boobs do not hurt, way better periods, mood swings and anxiety are gone, no headaches, libido is back and skin went back to normal (I have acne but compared to every other horrific side effect this pill gave me I'll happily take the acne).......this pill is truly the worst and any birth control pill for that matter."

"This is the WORST birth control! I was on Mononessa for a while and it was fine. My periods started like clock work. Then Walgreens said it was discontinued and switched me to Estarylla about 6 months ago. The break through bleeding is horrible! I have to wear a pad or tampon every single day for the spotting! I told my doctor who called in more Mononessa which the pharmacy switched to Estarylla again! OMG! Can I please get something where I am NORMAL again??!!!"

"I have been on this pill for less then a month, I'm at the end of the 3rd active week and this whole week I been spotting and cramping and some discharge that I never had problems with before. I was on mononessa for almost 2 years previously, my pharmacy changed it without my consent they told me it was the same but its not. While on it the first week I got super depressed and was moody and its gotten worse now that its the third week I'm constantly annoyed and more moody then usual. I do take another script for PMDD that usually keeps my moods in line. But this birth control has screwed up with my balance all around. I can't wait to get back on mononessa for next month. I woudn't recommend this to any female who is overly sensitive& emotional"

"Been on Estarylla for a few months now and have had little to no problems. I was on Mono-Linyah before which sometimes caused me to pass large tissue chunks during my period (that freaked me out). But so far so good with Estarylla. The first month I bled pretty randomly which was kind of annoying but that’s expected when starting any birth control I think. Sometimes I get a tiny bit of spotting if I skip when my period should be. But nothing more than that. My skin is normal, my weight is normal. I think the only thing is that I am more sweaty and have to load up on deodorant more than I had to before."

"Originally I was on the junel birth control pill but I was bleeding for over 6 weeks so they switched me to the Estraylla pill and boy was I in a dark place, not only that but I’m PREGNANT NOW - 3 months. So I don’t recommend it, I was always tired, sad, irritated, just overall not in a good place but now that I’m pregnant and off the pill I feel much better, minus the morning sickness."

"So I'm on my second pack of this bc & I love it. The first week or so I was nauseous & did throw up, it felt like motion sickness but it only happened twice. No weight gain & have a ton of energy. Only reason I'm taking bc is for hormonal acne & let me tell you this stuff works!! I was on previfim before & nothing.. only made me break out worse. Only thing is on previfem I had NO period it was like spotting & on this bc its a bit heaver but nothing like my regular flow."

"Made my resting heart rate raise 20 beats per minute over a 7 day period. That can't be healthy. I stopped this medicine immediately and my heart rate soon returned to normal. Also gave me acne, mood swings, and anxiety. I got switched to this because the pharmacy stopped carrying Monessa."

"Estarylla is the WORST BC ever!! My pharmacy filled this instead of my normal BC cause they are generic. They have done this a few times and this is the 4th time I have used this brand. I have my period since day one (every time they switch me to this)... and my cycle is never off with my normal BC. I am emotional, super dehydrated, having panic attacks, weight gain, my acne cleared up but I am not myself. Very depressed and my kids and my BF noticed. I'm refusing to take the rest and I'm already 3 weeks in. Never again will I take these."

"If I could give this birth control a negative 20, I would. I normally am prescribed mononessa but my pharmacy doesn’t sell it and I normally get it by mail order for 2 months at a time. I decided to give this medication a try for three months and Estarylla cause me to have severe anxiety, and depression. I slowly stopped going to class as often, and I cried myself to sleep, felt like I wasn’t wanted the whole 9 yards. It was awful. I returned to my normal prescription via mail order (mononessa) and my symptoms have completely gone away. DO NOT TAKE THIS MEDICATION. You won’t be able to recognize yourself. They need take this off the shelves."

"Everyone is different and I’m glad this works well for some. These side effects are rough for me. This is my third month on estarylla after being switched from sprintec like many others. I got behind in school because of the anxiety and depression. Which I didn’t attribute to the pill bc I am predisposed to those conditions without it. I was more irritable and wanted to isolate. I couldn’t motivate myself to be a person that actively participates in life. Also, it prevented pregnancy but also sex. Vaginal dryness in my late 20s is a mood killer for him and me. He feels he is doing something wrong and I feel bad that no matter how horny I am my body won’t respond. Costed me money in lube and it was hard to get into sex after that. That wasn’t the worst part though. The first week of these pills made me nauseous. I was so ill. This is the third month trying to adjust my body before I called it quits. I have lost 10 lbs in 48 hours because of the excessive diarrhea."

"I am starting my 3rd month of estarylla. I was nervous to start it after reading all these bad reviews but it has worked fine for me. I started taking it just for birth control but I've noticed my skin has been clearing up too. One side effect I've noticed is that I feel a little nauseous the first few days of starting a pack- nothing serious though. I also get bloated more easily. Overall, I'm satisfied with how it's working for me."

"I was on estarylla for 1 day and it gave me chest heaviness to the point where I felt I couldn't breathe for several days. I was sent to the ER and they said I was completely healthy. It made me very depressed but the worst part was feeling like I was literally suffocating but doctors telling me I was fine. Anxiety was through the roof and every moment was just torment and crying. I do not suggest taking estarylla!!!"

"DO NOT USE THIS BIRTHCONTROL. Take it from one girlfriend to another- you can do better. This birth control has given me the worst experience I've ever had with mood swings. Sluggish and no energy. I gained 5 lbs. first week on it."

"I only took this medication for the first month, but I refuse to continue with it. The first week everything was fine, but over the course of two weeks I've had extreme mood swings that just kept progressing to the point that I couldn't stand to be near my two year old. Every little thing she did set me off and that terrifies me because I've always had so much patience with her. I was having horrible vivid dreams and the last day I was on it I had been having suicidal ideations. I'd rather just risk getting pregnant than to risk feeling like that ever again."

"I was on Mononessa before it was discontinued and then was switched to Estarylla. My body LOVED Mononessa and I felt great, no side effects. The past 2 months of being on Estarylla (I've been on it a total of maybe 4 months now) has been the worst. Horrific breakouts the week leading up to my period, significant weight gain (approximately 10-15 pounds in the past 3 months), pretty painful breast tenderness. My eyes have also been affected! My vision gets really blurry and my eyes have dried out significantly. I'm getting off this stuff ASAP!"
