"I have been on Seasonique for almost 3 months, I haven't had any spotting however really bad acne on my T-zone. In the past I have had maybe 2-3 spots at a time but now 3 months In I have multiple spots triple or more than usual. I am totally attracted to 3-4 menstrual cycles a year, not to the idea of the acne however."

"I've been on Seasonique for 6 months and for the first three months it worked as it was supposed to, despite some spotting. Now however, I have an appointment to change it as for the last 40 days I have had a non-stop period. Not simply spotting but continuous bleeding. This is not the birth control for me."

"Been on seasonique for 8 years. Had tiny spotting only twice in this 8 years. Otherwise, my body has fully followed the pack as I think it's suppose to be. I still get migraines on my period but 4 times a year is a way less than 12 times a year. My period at first was a bit more normal, after all these years I'm now a bit lighter than what I used to be."

"I have been on Seasonique for almost three years and have not had any issues! I love only having my period 4 times a year. Additionally, I don’t experience heavy bleeding when I do get my period and my usual symptoms are so much less intense. Initially I did bleed for almost two weeks when I started the pack which was not fun but since my body regulated to it it has been great!"

"I've been taking Seasonique for two years. When I first started using it nothing major really changed with my body, but after the first couple of months I started to break out more often and my sex drive was practically non-existent. Two years later, the acne problem isn't as bad, but my sex drive is still gone and during intercourse I am also dry which makes intercourse uncomfortable. This was my first birth-control and I am now switching."

"I have been using Seasonique for a little over a year now. The first month and a half on Seasonique is great but then the spotting starts. For the past 2 1/2 weeks on the last pack I have been bleeding. It has given me acne and very painful cramps. I am switching to another birth control."

"I've been taking Seasonique for almost 9 months now. First month is fine, I don't get my period or any bleeding or any other side effects. As soon as the second month is almost over, I start spotting and I don't stop spotting until I receive my period at the end of the 3rd month. I spot for months straight and it's actually ridiculous. This pill is very expensive and it's only supposed to give 4 periods a year yet all I do is bleed. The spotting is little-to-no blood which is very annoying. My sex drive is non-existent which ultimately makes being on the pill completely pointless."

"I've been on seasonique for about a month and a week. I had no bleeding or spotting when first taking this. Which from reviews I've read im worried if thats normal. I do have trouble taking it on time but do pretty well for the most part. I have experienced nausea and alot of fatigue. Im tired ALOT! i took a pregnancy test after the first 3 weeks and it was negative. I just took it to make sure. Being tired with nausea does make me nervous with this new birth control. But so far it has been pretty good to me. I hope this is helpful for other women who are on this medication. These other reviews have helped me! Thank you ladies!"

"I couldn't be on this pill for more than three days. I started taking it because I liked the thought of only having a period once every three months. Almost immediately I got extremely exhausted, nauseous, fluctuating body temperatures, overwhelming sadness, a heavy feeling in my chest, and on the third day I had a panic attack at work so I decided to stop taking it. I felt 100x better when I woke up this morning after not taking it last night. I know you're supposed to give it time to work but I have never reacted that horribly to birth control before."

"Started this thinking it would be a great fit for me. I am 23 years old, just had a baby 6 weeks before. I had stopped the bleeding after having a baby so I started taking the birth control. After a few days I noticed right away that my anxiety got really bad. I had ZERO patience for anything which was taking a toll on my family (this is not due to the new baby). I didn't want to be around anyone, everything annoyed me. I am normally a very laid back, easy going person so this was abnormal. The panic attacks would get so horrible I would curl up in a ball and cry. My sex drive was normal, but wasn't there cause all I would do was bleed heavily. I have been bleeding heavily for 3 weeks now. Stopped the pack after 2 weeks."

"I have been taking Seasonique since I gave birth to my second child March 2011 and I enjoy having only four periods a year. However, I do notice that once my period comes I experience severe migranes where I am knocked to the floor in pain. I also get moderate acne around my jawline when I do have my period even though I do not mind it as much since it helps out with my acne when I do not have my period."

"I've been on Seasonique (generic Camrese) for almost 9 years!! This drug is great. I got on it when it was new to the market. I take it at night and NEVER miss a dose. I've never had any spotting between periods and sometimes I skip 2 quarters, meaning I have 2 periods a year. Even my OBGYN can't believe it's still working, she says many women's bodies just won't let them stay on this drug for long. Until I'm ready to start a family, Seasonique is the birth control for me. No more heavy periods, cramps, mood swings, or missed work. I also save on feminine products, when I do have a period its light and usually 2 days. My advice, give it a try, take it at the same time everyday (I have 2 alarms). Hopefully it will work for you too !"

"I have only just begun taking Seasonique but boy is it effective. But who could get pregnant when your mood swings are off the charts and you have absolutely NO sex drive, and even if I tried to be interested, it wouldn't be worth it because it's too dry. Seriously...me and my boyfriend hate it. Trying to wait it out and see if there is any improvement."

"Like Most women today, irregular periods are a headache ..... so I talked to my doctor about birth control options and we decided to try Teva aka Seasonique.... worst decisions I have made regarding medication. First 2-3 days on the pill were normal after that, it was absolute hell. Spotting consistently, very moody- ready to take my boyfriends head off for no reason, migraines that make it hard to function and fatigue from another world ! I stopped this birth control 2 days ago all the symptoms aside from the spotting are gone. I would not recommend this birth control to my worst enemy. Please discuss other birth control options with your doctor and read other reviews! Always important to listen to your body, do not ignore it!"

"I've been on this BC for a little over a year now. First few packs were awesome! No mood swings, no break through bleeding, period always on time, smooth sailing.. My last two packs have been a nightmare. I'm moody, I'm getting break through bleeding often and it actually scares me because I always think something is wrong if I'm bleeding and it's not time for my period... and my period was over a week late on my last pack. My period isn't due to come for another 3 weeks now but I'm currently bleeding. Not happy. Will definitely be seeing my doctor about a new pill. Maybe my body has decided it's not strong enough anymore."

"I've been on Seasonique for over a year. For the first six months I had non-stop spotting which made sex embarrasing. But I have endometreosis and thought having no pain outweighed the spotting. Now I have two new problems: I am overweight by 15 lbs and can't lose the weight even though I work out 4 times a week and eat very healthy. I have also lost all my sex drive! At this point I am thinking of going back to my gyno and finding another solution. The cons far outweigh the pros for me."

"Seasonique was absolutely horrible for me. I bled heavily for three months straight. The bleeding went from spotting to the point where clots the size of my fist were coming out. I had to take medical leave from my job because the bleeding was so bad. I ended up needing a D&C to clear everything out and start fresh with no birth control. While Seasonique was totally free with my insurance, it cost me tons in heavy-duty sanitary products, hospital bills, and lost wages."

"This is by far the best pill. I was taken off it before but just recently got back onto it. My periods on this pill were non-existent. Also no cramps. Having 4 periods a year is fine by me. I recommend this one to anyone. It is the best!!"

"I was on this pill for 4 years!! It was my first birth control I was ever on and I originally got on it because I didn’t want to have periods anymore. Not having periods was the ONLY good thing about this birth control. I constantly got yeast infections, ZERO sex drive, I was so dry down there, and constant nausea. I didn’t realize it was my birth control doing making me feel that way for 4 years until I came off of it."

"First day: 2 hours later I completely had a fast heart beat. I was really dizzy and felt like a lot of water weight on my body. I thought it was just my body adjusting so I continued to have hope for this pill. Day 2: Anxiety lessened but noticed I had extreme fast heartbeat when I am resting, like when I am on the bed. Trouble sleeping. Signs of depression. Day 3: Depressive and hard to sleep. I was balling my eyes out in bed that night. Day 4: Depressive symptoms. Agitated. Woke up with a severe panic attack. Today: I quit. I rather have a heavier period then put up with depression from the pill."

"Loved this birth control! I never had spotting or breakthrough bleeding during the 3 months of active pills. So nice to not have a monthly period. The only reason I'm switching is because my acne has gotten really bad because of stress."

"I was on this birth control for about a year and I don't know why I waited so long to get off of it. I had cyctic acne all over my face (I used to never break out before this pill) and I lost 20 pounds. I'm not a big girl in the first place but this pill got me down to 90 pounds because of the severe nausea. Also, I was moody the entire time I was on it. Went on ortho tri Cyclen and it saved my life."

"I'm about to start on the placebo pills and I'm intensely considering not starting the new pack. When I first started this birth control I had mild nausea and light cramping. Since then I've gained 10 pounds, I'm tired, nauseous, and bloated all the time. For me it's been all the fun pregnancy symptoms without actually conceiving (Doctor confirms my ego is not preggo) so I'm seriously debating on stopping it. My lifestyle three months ago is no different than my lifestyle now with the exception of this stinky little pill, and I can say that I am definitely unhappier now."

"I'm not the type of person to write reviews but I had such a bad experience with this pill I felt like I should write about it. I have been on it for a year and about a week ago I QUIT IT. I started getting headaches every day. I felt weird, like not like myself. I'm generally a really happy person. Being on this birth control I actually felt really sad a lot. I cried often for no reason, like really cried non stop for hours at a time. I'm an active person, I go to the gym about 3 times a week and always have a lot of energy but on the pill I felt so tired. It's also expensive. I quit in the beginning of a new pack. I don't care I had to get off of that. Now that I am off of it I honestly feel amazing."

"I have been on this pill for a year and a half. It took my body over 6 months to finally adjust to this pill and stop spotting. Cramps are worsened when my period finally does come. The only benefits of this pill is its effectiveness of pregnancy prevention and fewer periods. The following are just a few of my negative side effects I%u2019ve had since starting this pill: -dry eyes -anxiety -heart palpitations -extreme appetite increase -20 pound weight gain and cannot lose it! -dry skin -cellulite -spider veins -random PMS -tired/low energy all the time -dry brittle hair/hair thinning -extreme bloating -headaches -yeast infections once a month (never had them before the pill) -more discharge -different body odor Stopping this pill ASAP!"
