For Vaginal Dryness "After feeling like I had a constant yeast infection and irritation after sex, I realized it was dryness. I'm 43, had a hysterectomy 6 years ago, and suffer from Sjogren's syndrome. I tried Replens. The first dose, I had huge, white clumps that looked like wet toilet paper. Thought the second dose would be better, it wasn't. Two weeks later, I noticed blood clots and bloody discharge. Feels like I have a period again. Will not use again."

For Vaginal Dryness "One star! I had the white, clumpy discharge and awful skin irritation. I’m not sure why my gyno recommended this product, but the side effects aren’t worth it, and I’m not sure it did much for my dryness."

For Vaginal Dryness "Used this product for the first time this morning, about 10. Developed a cough about 4:30, shortness of breath, etc., usual reaction to the many things I react to. About to take some cortisone. Used once, $40+, bit of a shame."

For Vaginal Dryness "I was diagnosed with uterine cancer. Thankfully, early stages and surgery was 100% effective. I was researching what products to use to prevent issues with surgical menopause (dryness without using hormones). Replens was highly recommended. I knew about the side effects (white residue from dead cells). It became a sort of a turn-off for your partner after sex (or using toys covered in the white stuff). I switched to Aloe Cadabra. I stopped using Replens for at least 2 weeks, maybe more. It wasn't discharge I found! No odor or itching, but a large amount of white clumps. Like wet toilet paper. I am more disturbed it WASN'T discharge. Not sure if/how it was going to exit or if it would have caused issues if not removed. Still gross! I am not going to use this product again. If Aloe Cadabra doesn't work, I will continue to look for other options."

For Vaginal Dryness "I’m 32. Never experienced vaginal atrophy. Stopped taking birth control and the changes started to happen. Initially thought it was a yeast infection. Treated twice and still no resolve to the dryness, itching and inflammation. I finally see a doctor who recommends Replens and I start to have the white thick chunky discharge, which are dead skin cells shedding, and then thick gooey bloody discharge only once. But my symptoms improved dramatically. The discharge did stop and I started to notice normal discharge and normalcy completely after 3 uses. It’s a godsend."

For Vaginal Dryness "I was looking for relief for my vaginal dryness. It definitely helps with the dryness. However, the big white chunky stuff (no smell, no itch) is a humongous turn-off. Especially during intercourse. Product has been discarded. The search continues."

For Vaginal Dryness "I've been using it for about three weeks. Extreme vaginal dryness and itching after hysterectomy over a year ago. Tried Monistat and KY with no success. This seems to be helping. I have noticed the white discharge, which is likely just the Replens coming out. My husband and I are not bothered by it since it is safe to use with intercourse. We'd rather deal with a little of it than the dryness and itching. Usually, by the second night (using every three days), I begin to notice a little itching returning. Yesterday it was increased, so I tried Replens again after only two days instead of three. The package says use as needed, so I did. I immediately noticed red blood on the applicator and when I wiped. I have nothing to bleed. I've had a hysterectomy and the top of my vagina sewed shut. Then the brown chunks. I'm assuming it's the dead skin cells coming off. I've had no discomfort and will continue to use for now unless the bleeding continues. Then I will see my OB-GYN. This product has made my life comfortable."

For Vaginal Dryness "Used for menopausal drying of the vagina. I wish I'd read the reviews beforehand. Unfortunately, the copious thick white lumpy discharge was discovered by my partner during sex. I was totally mortified. Terrible, damaging experience. I would not recommend this product to anyone."

For Vaginal Dryness "Reading the comments here makes me feel lucky it works for me. I am 69 and use it every 2 to 3 weeks before sleep. Occasionally, I get 20 minutes of a burning sensation, probably because I've left it too long between applications, but thankfully, no bleeding."

For Vaginal Dryness "I really wish I had read the reviews here before I tried Replens. I have been fighting recurrent BV, and then what I thought was a yeast infection due to the antibiotic (used Monistat for 3 days), but that was causing my problems - it was Replens, which I was using for dryness. Got exactly what others have talked about here - stuff that looks like wet toilet paper in clumps. I stopped immediately! Hoping to find another product that moisturizes without this effect."

For Vaginal Dryness "I started using it to combat dryness. Took one dose, after a day, I started seeing the wet tissue-like discharge, and then the cramping started! I have an IUD, so I assumed it was that causing the cramping, but I was wrong. A few hours after the cramping, bleeding started. It was a dark-ish color and was very scary. I haven’t bled in over a year, so what was bleeding? I had to see my doctor, who was also confused as to why that happened. Couldn’t even have sex, which was the whole point! Possibly this medicine."

For Vaginal Dryness "Started bleeding after the 2nd application. I'm 55 and haven't had a period for 5 years. Bleeding hasn't stopped yet, and neither has the burning. I've made a doctor appointment, it's that bad. This stuff needs to be pulled. I hope the effects can be reversed."

For Vaginal Dryness "I used 1/2 a dose the first time. Ended up at MD with a yeast infection and BV. Stay away. It has mineral oil and glycerin. Lesson learned. I should give my medical bill to the company. I am going to return if I can for sure."

For Vaginal Dryness "I used 4 applications of Replens and had a bit of blood on the applicator after the second time, a spot of blood after the third, and a small bit of blood when I wiped after the fourth. I also had 2 1/2 days of abdominal cramping on and off. I had a complete total hysterectomy 11 years ago. I phoned the Replens company on the box and reported the issue, and funny enough, they said they never had any complaints. They told me to stop it immediately and the complaint would be looked at. I am also going to report it to the FDA. Everyone should report it. Hope I haven’t damaged myself!"

For Vaginal Dryness "I too wish I had read these posts! I started taking Replens on the advice of my GP at the same time I was taking antibiotics for a UTI. Two days after I finished the antibiotics, I used another dose of Replens (every 3-day dosage) and felt cramping and bloated. The next day I had vaginal itching. The following day I experienced itching and burning, so I thought it was a yeast infection due to antibiotic use (even though I took probiotics). So I used an over-the-counter yeast medication. But I'm still having the cramping, also the brown discharge and now white discharge. I will see my MD if it doesn’t go away. I had taken 4 doses of Replens."

For Vaginal Dryness "Decided to try this product as it is estrogen-free. After my first dosage, it burned. The next morning, I went to the bathroom, while wiping myself, there was a tinge of light pink on the paper. Needless to say, I will not be using a second dose. I was hoping for a solution to this problem, but this is not going to be it."

For Vaginal Dryness "I’m so glad to have found that others have had issues with this. It came highly recommended. I’m only 34 but have had a full hysterectomy due to uterine cancer. Each time I have tried using this stuff to treat vaginal dryness, it BURNS. Not sure a little sting, it feels like an acid burn for a good hour or so. After using it this last time, I’ve developed an infection and discharge, which I’ve never had before. I’ll definitely be discontinuing use of this."

For Vaginal Dryness "Try it. Yes, you may have the “white discharge” (skin sloughing), but this product has been a big help for me. Have suffered with dryness for years, and this is the only thing I have found that consistently helps. I paid a lot for the Mona Lisa treatment and was disappointed."

For Vaginal Dryness "I have experienced the following: 1st application thought I was getting a UTI; second application pelvic cramping as if I was getting a period, soreness; 3rd application cramping soreness, needing the loo more often (as if I was getting a UTI) and some blood after peeing when I wiped. I had a hysterectomy over 20 years ago, and my Gynae recommended Replens for soreness and dryness. The solution is worse than the problem for me. In fact, if I hadn't been to get a Gynae check 6 weeks previously, I would have worried that something was seriously wrong. Product manufacturers need to warn more openly about all the possible side effects that so many women seem to be experiencing."

For Vaginal Dryness "I have used the Replens disposable applicator version and had no problem. Recently bought what I thought was the same product, but it turned out to be a tube of moisturizer with a separate applicator. Second use and I find brown clumps and a little pink in the discharge, and I'm sore inside. Going back to using Bezwecken ovals. They aren't perfect, but they don't cause bleeding and soreness."

For Vaginal Dryness "Vaginal dryness attacks fast with menopause. When I started Replens, I had the shedding and white clumps. Stick with it, three months in, everything is better. I can be intimate, no more burning. It takes a little time and will burn at first, but it's worth it."

For Vaginal Dryness "I just began using Replens. With first and second days' use, I did not feel cramping, bloody/brown show, etc. Several weeks later, with third use, bingo, I experienced bloating, cramping, blood/brown show. Today, after yesterday's application, I am still bloated and have cramping. I am seventy-one and not on any kind of medicine, so nothing has interfered with the product. I hope all who experienced side effects called the company, they need to know your experience. What's happening isn't right, and they need to know."

For Vaginal Dryness "I am so glad to hear that I am not alone in my negative experience of this product. I thought it might help me enjoy sex with my husband again after menopausal dryness, and it did at first (I used it for just over a month), but then I got a UTI. Antibiotics took away the infection, but not the pain on urinating, which sometimes lasted for a long time after. Then on the 5th use, when my husband and I had sex, it was uncomfortable for me, and so we stopped. When he withdrew, he had these white clumps on him, which came from me. The white clumpy discharge continued, so I had a thrush treatment, which didn't work. Found out that Replens MD can cause these symptoms. I stopped using two weeks ago. Clumpiness stopped within days, still having pain on weeing, but it is lessening in severity and frequency, so hopefully it will go completely now I'm not using this stuff. I definitely would not recommend it."

For Vaginal Dryness "I got a large amount of white, clumpy discharge within an hour of using. This residue comes out during sex and all over toys. Such an embarrassing turn-off, and I had to explain what I found out about the product so my partner didn’t think I was infectious or something. Will not use again and will notify my gyn so they don’t recommend. So gross! Was hoping it was a long-lasting product, and it is in a bad way."

For Vaginal Dryness "Really interesting to read these reviews. I’ve been using it for the last few weeks, every 3 days. I’m loathing the white, tissuey discharge, which, as others have said, you literally need to scrape out yourself. The sight of it on my partner after having sex: mortifying. I’ve also had burning and awful cervical cramping and shooting pains, far worse than during a period, and some brown discharge. I’ve been blaming it on an endometrial biopsy I had a month ago, yet the cramping symptoms are repeatedly clearing by day 3, but coming back with a vengeance as soon as I use the product. I’m giving up, which is such a shame, as it gives a midcycle, ovulatory-feeling discharge, but every day."
