For Vaginal Dryness "AVOID. Severe uterine cramping after the second dosage (3 days after the first one) with big black lumps and brown blood a few hours later, which is now fresh red blood with big lumps in it. This has been going on for 2 days, I hope it will stop, or I'll be going to the doctor next. I am peri-menopausal and dry after ovulation, hence the recommended cream. I've never had any spotting or bleeding between periods, this is a reaction to the cream. What have they put in it to cause such a severe reaction?"

For Vaginal Dryness "I had vaginal dryness, so I used this, as the information on the outside seemed ideal. It caused soreness and slight bleeding. Complete waste of time and money. Thank goodness for this forum, as I thought it was only me!"

For Vaginal Dryness "Omg, I wished I had read the reviews on here! I’ve recently used Replens MD cream and didn’t think it was connected, but now after reading the reviews! The first time I used this, I contracted a kidney infection. Two weeks later, a uterus infection! I’m 54, post-menopausal, tried the cream for dryness, and all I got was bad abdominal cramping, a swollen abdomen, and bleeding! I’ve not bled for 8 years. These side effects need to be on the leaflet inside!"

For Vaginal Dryness "Used it one day, and everything was fine. The second time I used it, I immediately started burning. Later that evening, I was bleeding from inside. Looked at reviews and found others that were the same. Not sure if this is what happens in the beginning and then it gets better?"

For Vaginal Dryness "I’ve only used it once so far recently. I tried it many years ago, and it was so watery it was almost as if you peed your bed. No burning this time, but yes to the white clumps. I couldn’t imagine what they were until I came across this website. But I have also had the white clumps from (HyloGyn)? And other vaginal moisturizers that I have tried. So I’m guessing it is dead skin cells from all of them. Would have been nice for the makers of these products to let you know. I’m hoping I don’t get bleeding or pain. Menopause is awful."

For Vaginal Dryness "I started using it to combat dryness. Took one dose, after a day, I started seeing the wet tissue-like discharge, and then the cramping started! I have an IUD, so I assumed it was that causing the cramping, but I was wrong. A few hours after the cramping, bleeding started. It was a dark-ish color and was very scary. I haven’t bled in over a year, so what was bleeding? I had to see my doctor, who was also confused as to why that happened. Couldn’t even have sex, which was the whole point! Possibly this medicine."

For Vaginal Dryness "Started bleeding after the 2nd application. I'm 55 and haven't had a period for 5 years. Bleeding hasn't stopped yet, and neither has the burning. I've made a doctor appointment, it's that bad. This stuff needs to be pulled. I hope the effects can be reversed."

For Vaginal Dryness "I have used the Replens disposable applicator version and had no problem. Recently bought what I thought was the same product, but it turned out to be a tube of moisturizer with a separate applicator. Second use and I find brown clumps and a little pink in the discharge, and I'm sore inside. Going back to using Bezwecken ovals. They aren't perfect, but they don't cause bleeding and soreness."

For Vaginal Dryness "I bought this product and the lubricant gel. Well, even using both together in the same day for sex, I experienced pain and bleeding. I paid a lot of money with the hopes of not having painful intercourse. After several attempts in the past year, I am at a loss as to what will work."

For Vaginal Dryness "I’ve used Replens for several years and have had no problems except when the company started using the newer style applicator. It does not have a rounded end and was painful to use and caused bleeding. Fortunately, I had saved some of the old, round-end reusable applicators. I am having trouble finding the tube of Replens rather than the pre-filled applicators. I use about half of the recommended amount once or twice a week. Am 24 years past menopause."

For Vaginal Dryness "The plastic reusable application is sharp at the round edges and causes bleeding when it scrapes me on insertion - but it is all I can get on NHS repeat prescription (the softer single-use applicators are too expensive for NHS). The manufacturer should know that we use this to minimize discomfort when vaginal walls thin, so sharp edges are no good. I have reported this to the manufacturer several times, but they just say use a softer single-use applicator! Men would not put up with this product. It is messy; it discharges all the time after use for a few days until the next application; panty liners are a must and a nuisance - and not environmentally friendly. I have used Replens for several years post-hysterectomy as estrogen cream is contraindicated for me. Loathe it."

For Vaginal Dryness "I have used this Replens 2 times without having sex yet, and it caused me to bleed. I am 58, I had a full hysterectomy in 2005, so what is bleeding?"

For Vaginal Dryness "The applicator cut inside my vagina, causing bleeding. Hours later, still bleeding. Had to go to the emergency room to be checked. Now on four medications."
For Vaginal Dryness "Used this twice to avoid estrogen cream and started bleeding after the second application, then copious brown sludge discharge, so far for two days. Don't know if the applicator does the damage or the ingredients, but needless to say it doesn't bode well for the product!"
