For Irritable Bowel Syndrome with Diarrhea "I have been taking Viberzi 100 mg for about 4 months. I do not have a gallbladder, and almost 2 years ago, I had a bowel blockage. I have had diarrhea at least 4 times a week, with high anxiety for traveling. At first, I took this medicine for 2 weeks, 100 mg twice a day, and didn't have a bowel movement for 4 days, so I went off of it for a few days, then tried again, same result and very bad stomach pain. With problems continuing, I found many reviews being too constipating, so I started taking 1 pill every morning with food. Since I adjusted the dose, over 2 months ago, it has worked great. I now have a regular bowel movement almost every day, sometimes twice a day! I have had diarrhea twice in the last 2 months, this has helped me get back to living and work. It helped me!"

For Irritable Bowel Syndrome with Diarrhea "From day one of taking Viberzi, I felt a difference. No more stomach pains or cramps or needing to run to the bathroom every time I ate, this medicine truly is perfect. I've noticed that other people have had issues with it, and I see a few have mentioned that they don't have a gallbladder and it works fine for them. I do not have a gallbladder, and it has been the most helpful medicine I've been on yet, so maybe it has something to do with not having a gallbladder? Anyway, this medicine does work for me, and hopefully anyone reading this that has wanted to try it will take the good comments into consideration and try it out! You never know unless you try! Just read the directions and DO NOT drink alcohol like it says!!"

For Irritable Bowel Syndrome with Diarrhea "I'm giving this medicine a 9 out of 10. And if it wasn't for the severe stomach pain, I would give it a 10. For the past seven years, I have experienced IBS-D. In the past 5 years, it has gotten so bad where I choose to stay home rather than face the consequences that come with traveling outside of my home. I have had my gallbladder checked, a colonoscopy, an UGI (scope), biopsies, ultrasound, CAT scan, and numerous blood work tests for parasites, not to mention all of the embarrassing stool samples given throughout the years. It's safe to say it's been a dark road with no light at the end. This medicine makes it a little better and manageable. Hoping the cramps will stop."

For Irritable Bowel Syndrome with Diarrhea "Went to my doctor in tears, diarrhea was so bad, it was up to 30 or more times a day. Stomach pain, everything I ate made me sick. My doctor gave me the FODMAP diet to follow and to go gluten-free, he also prescribed Viberzi. I took the first tablet that evening (100 mg) twice a day. In less than 24 hours, my diarrhea had stopped and the pain was gone. I feel strictly following the FODMAP diet along with Viberzi did the trick. I've been taking Viberzi for a month and a half. I had one bout of severe diarrhea when I ate a biscuit, and boy did I feel the pain. It took 24 hours for it to stop. I'm one of those people who just can't eat gluten."

For Irritable Bowel Syndrome with Diarrhea "I got Viberzi and took 2 pills a day, 75 mg. I took them for 2 weeks and had to stop. I couldn't have a bowel movement. I woke up one Sunday morning at 4 a.m., and my stomach felt like a volcano. Finally, I had a bowel movement, and it felt like I lost 20 pounds. It didn't work for me because you cannot go that long without a bowel movement. I got this medicine for IBS and diarrhea. It stopped the diarrhea and stopped all bowel movements. I literally thought I was going to die because my stomach was hurting so bad. I was hoping this medicine would work, but it didn't."

For Irritable Bowel Syndrome with Diarrhea "So far, completely normal bowel movements (1 a day!!) Had one IBS episode one day in the 2 months since I've been on Viberzi. Usually get some stomach pain right before the next dose (the end of the previous dose) and right after taking a dose. Nothing too terrible. Highly recommended!"

For Irritable Bowel Syndrome with Diarrhea "Have short bowel with IBD over 10 years. Tried this medication and felt like a hat was crushing my head the first day, then followed by increasingly worse headache bordering on migraines. Pain in my stomach was only surpassed by the pain in my back just under the ribcage, probably liver location. Nauseated constantly too. Hate this ridiculously expensive medication."

For Irritable Bowel Syndrome with Diarrhea "I've been dealing with IBS for several years, to the point where it has taken over my life; virtually homebound. Started trying the FODMAP diet, which my doctor hasn't even heard of, and I was gaining some control over my IBS. Then he gave me some samples of both Viberzi and Creon. The first day I tried both meds, I was a constipated, drugged, crying my eyes out, basket case. It stopped my bowel movements altogether. No BM the first day; stomach felt bloated and tight, and I was in a stupor. The Creon severely exacerbated my depression. Second day, I took 1/2 a pill of Viberzi only and had a really sedated feeling and slept the day away. Not as much belly pain. Thinking about taking 1/4 at bedtime."

For Irritable Bowel Syndrome with Diarrhea "I've dealt with IBS-D for 25 years. Recently, I decided to give Viberzi a try. I took it for three days. It did reduce the amount of BMs in the first two days. From the beginning, I felt dizzy, drowsy, stomach pain, nausea, and had coughing spells. On day three, I experienced all of the above with a serious attack of BMs, couldn't stop going. The side effects trumped any benefit. The TV commercials were promising, but it just didn't work for me!!"

For Irritable Bowel Syndrome with Diarrhea "I took Viberzi for 2 days, and it shut my GI tract down completely. I had horrible stomach pain and could barely eat for 48 hours after I took the last pill. It took me over a week to be back to my normal with IBS. It was horrible."

For Irritable Bowel Syndrome with Diarrhea "I've been on this medicine since July '17. The first few months it was a godsend. My initial week on the meds though... lots of bloating, nausea, and sleepiness. My doc explained I was experiencing the bloating because my stomach and system weren’t used to having that much food stay in my body for that long. (I'd have diarrhea after just about every meal, and that was with taking an antispasmodic medicine.) Zantac helped, and after a while, the bloating and nausea subsided, and the drug started to work well! Then too well, so we dropped it down to 100 mg 1x a day from 2x... then it wasn’t well enough, so now I’m on 75 mg 2x a day. Getting more stomach pain and nausea after taking the pills than I used to, so might need to change it if it continues."
