For Premenstrual Dysphoric Disorder "Nikki was the first form of birth control I have ever taken to make my period symptoms better and I can say I absolutely recommend this medication. My acne has got so much better, I get compliments on how clear my skin is all the time now. Also, I have no symptoms from my period now where before Nikki I was throwing up and passing out. Strongly recommend this for anyone who experiences the same symptoms!"

For Premenstrual Dysphoric Disorder "I really loved this pill. It seems to get poor reviews online, but it worked wonders for me. It's effect on PMDD helped me manage my appetite surges, cramps, mood swings, migraines, and muscle aches around my menstrual cycle, which were specifically the reasons I started taking this pill. I did not experience side effects, except breast tenderness in the early months."

For Birth Control "I began Nikki after my Paragard IUD had to be removed because it shifted positions. I wasn't comfortable going back to an IUD after that. I also wanted something to help my (moderate) acne. Once I started Nikki, my acne cleared up within the first pack. I took the pill religiously at the same time and my doctor thinks that this helped with the benefits. I noticed my body hair grew less thick. My periods last a day and a half with moderate bleeding at worst. I've also had minimal cramping. I did gain ~7 lbs around my butt and lower tummy which hasn't gone away. I also noticed that my sex drive is decreased. The reason that I'm changing is because my IBS symptoms became severe. I looked into it and research suggests that Drospirenone can cause/worsen IBS. I think overall Nikki was great, but wasn't the perfect fit for me."

For Birth Control "I've taken Yaz since 2006 and I had body issues. They switched to gianvi and still no issues. Now they switched to Nikki and I've gained 10+ pounds in 2 months! I feel so bloated and crappy. I also have migraines. I've asked the pharmacy about it because I thought I was losing my mind and found out many others are having the same problem."

For Acne "I’ve been on Nikki for 6 1/2 months now. Don’t get discouraged if you read about someone having bad side effects after being on the pill for a week, give the pill time to adjust to your body first. I’ve always been acne prone but in Fall of 2020 I started getting severe cystic acne along my neck, jawline, and cheeks. The cysts on my neck were new so I knew something was wrong internally and did some research and tried Nikki. I didn’t experience any nausea, mood swings, or weight gain :) The first 2 months I saw no change in my skin. By the end of month 3 I started seeing improvements and the cysts on my neck were gone. The amount I was breaking out was less, but I was no where near clear in month 3 like a lot of people reported. Now I’m 1 week into month 7 and I don’t have 1 bump on my face! I still don’t feel I can say I have CLEAR skin yet because I have a lot of work that needs to be done with scaring and hyperpigmentation however I feel healthier and my face is smooth!"

For Birth Control "I had the worst mood swings with this pill, always felt on edge and depressed. As well as it kept me bloated, no weight gain but I couldn’t lose weight with diet & exercise. I lost 5 lbs within the first week of switching pills."

For Acne "I have been on Nikki for about 10 months. I switched from Sprintec, because that was making me moody and depressed. I used to suffer with cystic acne and this cleared my acne miraculously, as well as my moodiness. However, I'm worried it made me gain weight. Has that happened to anyone else?"

For Birth Control "I went on Nikki for bad PMS symptoms, acne, and birth control in general. My moods were very stable, my skin was clear, and ultimately I had a great experience on it. No PMS either! Only symptom was that my libido was somewhat lower, and I switched to lo loestrin for that for a few months, but I’m about to switch back because I liked this pill a lot better!"

For Birth Control "Okay, ladies. Although I know hormones react differently with everyone I was surprised by all the bad reviews on this pill. I didn’t have any side effects on Nikki other than slight nausea the first week or so. Other than that everything has been PERFECT no breakouts, no pregnancy, no long term nausea (which I have suffered with on other pills). Plus I get it sent in the mail and it’s super convenient and affordable."

For Acne "I’ve been on this Nikki pill for 11 months and it completely cleared my hormonal acne around my jawline. My oil production has decreased as well. No nausea or headaches, the only side effect for me is that my sex drive is non existent. Such a love hate relationship with Nikki..."

For Acne "I'm finishing my third pack of Nikki and have FINALLY cleared up my inflammatory/cystic acne. So glad to have been suggested this prescription by my Dermatologist. I've not had any other side effects from this medication other than occasional light-headedness, typically only when taken on an empty stomach."

For Birth Control "I liked how clear this pill Nikki made my skin, but that was really the only positive. I experienced headaches, very heavy periods with bad cramping, and bleeding between periods (at times as heavy as a normal period!) I thought maybe my body needed time to adjust, but after 8 months of feeling like I was bleeding all the time and always in pain, I switched birth control. I love how clear my skin was, but it's not worth it."

For Acne "I have had a great time with Nikki! I had severe pimple face and after 3 months of use, I barely had any pimples at all. After my second month of use, I had spotting for about 2-3 weeks but nothing severe. I have not gained or lost weight (however take in account that I am naturally very skinny and have a fast metabolism). I would and have recommended this birth control."

For Acne "I have been on Nikki for a month and just finished the first pack. My acne has went to how it was last summer but I think my body is still getting used to it, but I am a teenager and the only thing it did for me was gave me a slight stomach ache in the first week a couple times. Also I haven't had my period for two months! When I was supposed to have it, I had bad cramps, but no blood. I will post an update when I finish the second pack."

For Birth Control "I’ve been taking this for probably 8 months from NuRx and I’m finally making the much needed switch. I had my daughter about 2 years ago and thought my increasingly crippling depression and NO SEX drive was just because of stress, then I talk to my doctor who said that’s very common with this birth control and she doesn’t even like to prescribe it because of this! I will say my periods have never been so regular but it is really frustrating if I don’t take it at the same exact time every day I’ll end up having ANOTHER week long period. But based on other reviews I’m glad I finally decided to do some research. Every body is different so maybe this will work great for someone else but definitely not me!"

For Birth Control "I have my tubes tied and I suffer from PPMD and PTLS. I went back on birth control after not taking any for 4 years because I wanted not only extra protection from pregnancy, but to get my period symptoms under control. I told my doctor that I used to take Yazmin, so she recommended Nikki this time around. About 3 days in I started breaking out in pimples in places I normally don’t get them, like on my forehead and around my nose... (I only get acne on my jawline right before starting my period) I am now 3 weeks in and am suffering from HORRIBLE depression, so much that I am suicidal at this point. My sex drive has been non existent and for the life of me I can’t get wet. This BC has caused a huge strain on my mental health and relationship. I’m only 3 weeks into taking Nikki, but I am going to stop taking it right now, not another pill down the hatch. Terrible and wouldn’t recommend."

For Acne "Nikki birth control has been the only thing that has actually cleared my acne and I have gone through SO much to try to cure my acne. It is the only birth control that has worked for me as well, since years ago my favorite was discontinued. It makes my periods shorter, I only spot when I skip my period by taking the next pack, and like I said it IMMEDIATELY cleared up my skin. It makes me so happy I feel so good about myself I have no mood swings and get this, it actually increased my sex drive! EVERY other pill I have been on has made me dry, this one literally does the opposite. I am 21 and I am finally comfortable with my birth control!"

For Birth Control "I was on this pill for over 6 months, and it was so strange. Birth control is tricky, you don't always know what are symptoms of the birth control or what are natural body occurrences, keep that in mind. However, while on this pill, the only symptom I could recall having was spotting non stop. After the 4 month mark, it didn't stop. It wasn't that big of a deal but I stopped having sex because of it and had to wear panty liners all day every day. While I was on it, I went to a really dark place mentally - To the point where life was not worth it. I suffer from various mental illnesses so I thought nothing of it, until I went to the OBGYN to change my BC (because of the constant spotting), got off Nikki and literally felt the weight lift off of my shoulders. I felt like an entirely different person. Glad I got off of it, not for me."

For Birth Control "I was switched from Gianvi birth control to Nikki (generics of each other same hormones, same dose) by my prescription plan. I wish I had done research prior to taking it. Nikki was the worst birth control experience I've ever had. Only two weeks in I experienced severe IBS and stomach pain. My anxiety went through the roof and I became extremely depressed with no appetite, fatigue, poor focus and no motivation. My breaking point was when the medication began inducing panic attacks, which I had never experienced before. Ultimately I made the decision to stop taking this birth control and after a week I'm beginning to feel like my old self. I would not recommend this birth control to anyone. Please be cautious when switching to generic medications, just because it is in the same active ingredients does not mean the formula will work the same for everybody"

For Premenstrual Dysphoric Disorder "1st time using birth control and I’m taking it for PMDD & heavy/painful periods. About to finish my 1st pack. I was scared when I first started the pill - lack of emotions, no focus, irritability, a bit of stomach upset. Mood was the worst- I was swinging high and low & felt like I was on a roller coaster. I already struggle with depression/anxiety, so the birth control was worsening my mental health. HOWEVER- I think my body has adjusted to it now & I’m feeling a lot better. My mood is stable & I feel like my focus is back. Been spotting brown & it’s beginning to turn into blood now, but pretty light. I’ve had minor cramping but it’s nothing compared to before. It’s crazy to have my period so light & not painful. Giving the 3 month trial period a chance to make sure this is a good med for me. All I can recommend for other people is to give it a chance. You can always get off it if you need to...don’t judge the pill based on negative symptoms you have in the first few weeks."

For Acne "I have been on this birth control for a little over a month. It has cleared up my acne a lot. If I forget to take a pill that night, I take it right away the next morning and I don't have any breakthrough bleeding. I feel like my moods have calmed down a little but I do get upset kind of easily after starting this pill. I also have noticed barely any weight gain but my breasts became fuller after starting this pill."

For Birth Control "If I could give this a zero and wipe the pill off the earth FOREVER I would. I was on Yaz until March, I had an issue with my insurance, and got switched to Nikki. I already have anxiety and depression, all of which were completely under control at the time I switched to Nikki. The first few months were fine with no side effects. About 6 months ago my attitude took an insane turn, my anxiety and depression had reached levels I could not handle anymore. I kept putting it off thinking I was finally just at my breaking point. And now, exactly 1 and half months ago I have not stopped bleeding/spotting. Seriously, not even for one day has it stopped. The past 6 months I've gained near 10 pounds because I can NOT stop eating, the hunger cravings will not go away. I finally looked up all the reviews I possibly could and I'm now seeing how many people are saying the same thing happened to them."

For Birth Control "I was super worried about starting this pill due to all of the negative feedback here, but it’s not bad at all. I used to be on Gianvi, but was put on Nikki due to insurance reasons and my doctor assured me it should be the same exact experience. I’ve been on Nikki for 2 weeks and haven’t had any negative side effects, except for feeling nauseous a couple of times, and feeling super hungry in the middle of the night a few times. No breakouts or weight gain."

For Birth Control "Let me just start by saying I was terrified to start this pill based on all the reviews. I was previously on "mylan" (generic yaz at my pharmacy) then had to switch to a mail-order due to corporate greed. I am happy to report that I have had absolutely no issues with this medicine. My acne is still under control, I don't (and didn't) have an nausea, no weight gain, nothing!! I take this at 8pm religiously and it works great. Be aware if you were not on a birth control previously, I did have some initial side effects with the start of Mylan brand (bloat, heartburn, mild nausea) but that is expected when going on a birth control for the first time. After the initial adjustment period (1 to 2 months) it was smooth sailing and then the switch to Nikki (my 3rd month) it was like I never changed birth control pills."

For Birth Control "Only 3 DAYS in on Nikki and am having acne like I have never experienced in my life. My face has never been this bad. I have never had acne in my life and my face looks like it blew up. I am exhausted. Multiple naps a day exhausted. Can’t get out of bed exhausted. I’m sure it works for multiple people but I’m incredibly unhappy. At this rate I won’t even need birth control my face looks so bad it’s its own birth control "
