Diclegis (doxylamine / pyridoxine) for Nausea/Vomiting of Pregnancy "I am 7 weeks pregnant, my midwife gave me samples of Diclegis 5 days ago. Previous to trying them, I had nonstop nausea, vomiting, weakness, truly just felt like death! Day 1 of Diclegis, I was able to wake up, be semi-functional enough to where I was able to get ready for work pretty comfortably, but by mid-morning, all the symptoms came back. On day 3, I added 2 pills at night, 1 in the morning, and 1 in the afternoon, and I can tell you it is a miracle drug! It does take a few days to start working at its full capacity, but after the first few days, you feel almost back to normal! I would recommend this to anyone and everyone!"

Diclegis (doxylamine / pyridoxine) for Nausea/Vomiting of Pregnancy "This is my third pregnancy. My previous pregnancies, I had horrible nausea and vomiting. Took Zofran from the time I found out I was pregnant until the day I gave birth. With this pregnancy, however, Zofran wasn't working for nothing!!! Got prescribed Diclegis and took 1 at night (last night), made me very sleepy. Woke up and felt a million times better, though. I haven't felt like this in months! I finally feel normal! This is a lifesaver, my copay was $50, but it was worth every dollar! It's now 8:30 PM the next day, and I still feel pretty good off last night's pill. It did put me out like a light, but reading other reviews, the drowsiness shouldn't last long."

Diclegis (doxylamine / pyridoxine) for Nausea/Vomiting of Pregnancy "My first trimester of pregnancy has been entirely brutal. Nausea from the time I woke up until I fell asleep, and sometimes even waking up to vomit. Many days I vomited 4-5 times a day. This medicine is not a “cure-all,” but it has helped me immensely. The drowsiness in the mornings is difficult, but it was way less severe than my nausea. This medication has made me feel slightly human again. Many of my other terrible symptoms remain, but my nausea is under much better control with this drug."

Diclegis (doxylamine / pyridoxine) for Nausea/Vomiting of Pregnancy "I started Diclegis a few weeks ago for nausea. I'm now 11 weeks along and have had no sickness. It does cause drowsiness, so I only take 1 at night. Also, dry mouth for me, but it's worth not getting sick, especially if you have long work shifts."

Diclegis (doxylamine / pyridoxine) for Nausea/Vomiting of Pregnancy "Extremely fatigued. Used as directed during week 7, and getting out of bed was a struggle. Slept all day and went to bed early... 6-7 PM early. This is my first pregnancy, so I thought it's probably 1st trimester fatigue. Stopped using the next day and decided to 'stick it out' without Diclegis. I'm 17 weeks today and had really bad nausea, vomiting every 30 mins this AM and thought, OK, let me give this medicine another shot, I'm desperate... Same deal, nausea/vomiting is gone... because I'm tranquilized! It works, but I may be too sensitive for its drowsiness effects. Not for me."

Diclegis (doxylamine / pyridoxine) for Nausea/Vomiting of Pregnancy "I was given vitamin B6 and Unisom, which ended up making me more sick because I hated the smell of my own saliva after taking them. Then, the worst medicine on the planet called metoclopramide “Reglan,” which doesn’t work at all. Finally, after I lost 4 kg while constantly throwing up, my doc decided to put me on Diclegis, and ladies, don’t read negative comments, give it a try and you will forget nausea. They say it takes 5-7 hours to start kicking in, but for me, it took 4 hours. After those final four hours, I felt light and happy again. I am back in the kitchen, back on my feet, eating healthy fruits and vegetables. I couldn’t resist the smell of onion frying or baking bread with Reglan and other meds, but now I don’t even feel the smell of onion or biryanis being cooked constantly in the house... love him or her, whoever invented this formula."

Diclegis (doxylamine / pyridoxine) for Nausea/Vomiting of Pregnancy "I wouldn't suggest taking Diclegis again. The first time I tried it, I had heartburn that I haven't experienced in this pregnancy, and my heart raced uncontrollably bad that I felt like I was dying. I followed the instructions that they gave me, and I threw it up 30 minutes after taking it. I'm afraid that it can harm the baby. I'm not taking it anymore. Never want to feel like that again. I have a terrible headache now. Worst experience ever."

Diclegis (doxylamine / pyridoxine) for Nausea/Vomiting of Pregnancy "Third pregnancy, and Zofran wasn't cutting it for me. Midwife prescribed Diclegis - felt insanely better the next morning nausea-wise, but was super fatigued. If you miss a dose, it will rock your world. For the first few days, it knocked me out all night and made me feel sleepy all morning. Now I seem to be experiencing the insomnia/nightmares side effects, and it's not fun. I'm hoping in a couple of weeks I can wean off of it because I generally feel better a couple of weeks into the second trimester. Definitely think the nausea aid is worth the side effects, though - guess it all depends on how bad your nausea/vomiting is - and if this works for you!"

Diclegis (doxylamine / pyridoxine) for Nausea/Vomiting of Pregnancy "At 10-25 weeks, my nausea never let up. When I say nausea, I actually mean vomiting. Every other day, I knew my meals were not going to end well. I expected this during the first trimester, but upon approaching my third trimester, I knew something had to give. I don't expect any drug to work tremendously during the first trimester. Since nausea/vomiting is supposed to 'return' during the third trimester, I decided to try this as the baby is now more developed. It worked wonderfully; I have been on it for one week and can now eat with confidence! I still have some mild, although less, heartburn. This is the only reason I rated 9/10. It would truly be a miracle drug if it could get rid of the heartburn I developed during pregnancy too!"

Bonjesta (doxylamine / pyridoxine) for Nausea/Vomiting of Pregnancy "I was started on Bonjesta early in my pregnancy to prevent all-day nausea and vomiting. This medication was extremely effective for me. I didn't get dizzy or sleepy. I wasn't gaining any weight because of extreme vomiting until I started this med."

Diclegis (doxylamine / pyridoxine) for Nausea/Vomiting of Pregnancy "I hate this drug! I feel exhausted all the time on it, and it does not help at all! My doctor told me I can no longer take Zofran during the first trimester due to a study that said there might be issues, so she put me on Diclegis first. I have tried it for 2 weeks and am absolutely miserable! I am still throwing up and have nausea all day and night. I have always had horrible morning sickness and was hoping this would work. Sadly, it does not, all it does is make me want to sleep all day long! To make things worse, even with my insurance covering most of the cost, it still costs over $80.00 for a month’s supply. That is crazy!"

Diclegis (doxylamine / pyridoxine) for Nausea/Vomiting of Pregnancy "This was a miracle medicine for me. I had extremely high hormone levels during my pregnancy, and the vomiting and nausea were unbearable. I lost 10 lbs in three weeks and could not even walk. My doctor prescribed Diclegis, and within an hour or two of taking my first dose, I was able to get out of bed. Within a day, I was able to eat and function as a mother for my other two children. The only side effect I've had is fatigue. I absolutely recommend this drug to everyone."

Diclegis (doxylamine / pyridoxine) for Nausea/Vomiting of Pregnancy "As a pregnant, working mom of a toddler, this medicine is my enemy. I would rather feel the nausea than feel like I can't lift my head off the pillow. I have taken just one before bed a few nights in the last week, and each time I do, I feel like I have the worst hangover the next day. I can't function. I don't recommend it to anyone unless they have their entire pregnancy to hibernate."

Diclegis (doxylamine / pyridoxine) for Nausea/Vomiting of Pregnancy "I'm pregnant with twins, and after 6 weeks, I started having severe nausea, and at 10 weeks, the vomiting came along. My doctor prescribed Diclegis. It works, the only downfall is the aftertaste. I have this horribly bitter taste in my mouth. I don't even know which is better: the nausea or the bitter taste."

Diclegis (doxylamine / pyridoxine) for Nausea/Vomiting of Pregnancy "I have been on Diclegis since 6 weeks. I am now at 12 weeks with baby number 3. Both my other pregnancies, I was on Zofran for horrible nausea. I was taking 2 pills at night, but it just made me so tired and not able to function, and with a 3 and 2-year-old, that was not worth it. I cut down to 1 pill at night. I feel a lot better, but some days I do take Zofran as well, so I can function."

Diclegis (doxylamine / pyridoxine) for Nausea/Vomiting of Pregnancy "I have all-day sickness. I started taking it around 9 weeks, after 24 hours of straight vomiting, and when I woke the next day, I was able to keep something down. Initially, I was sleepy, but I started taking 1 pill every 6-8 hours, and I usually have no sleepiness issues, and I'm able to eat throughout the day. I'm 16 weeks and still on it because without it, I still have times/days when I feel sick. When I forget to take a dose is when it doesn't work - I think each person will need to figure out the best times to take it."

Diclegis (doxylamine / pyridoxine) for Nausea/Vomiting of Pregnancy "I first took it and felt great for about 5 days. However, slowly I started feeling sick again. Now I'm back to throwing up twice a day and can't eat hardly anything. I don't know if it would be worse with the medication, so I keep taking it."

Diclegis (doxylamine / pyridoxine) for Nausea/Vomiting "After horrible all-day nausea (no vomiting), I was prescribed Diclegis by my doctor. It felt like a miracle drug. I was able to enjoy life again and not be bedridden from severe nausea. I remember looking the drug up online before I got it, and I hesitated to try it based on reviews - DON'T. It works differently for everyone. I tried every natural remedy. This was the only thing that made the biggest difference - I would still feel some nausea towards the end of the day, but it was a night-and-day difference from before. I was not drowsy, as I feared on this drug, and I've been able to wean off it (took 4 a day, then just 2 every evening) after 13 weeks. STOP reading reviews and just try it."

Diclegis (doxylamine / pyridoxine) for Nausea/Vomiting of Pregnancy "OMG. This drug is saving my life! I found out that I am 6 weeks pregnant on May 2nd. I have not held anything food down since the past 2 weeks. 3-6 times per day throwing up. I went to visit my Ob/Gyn yesterday, and she gave me Diclegis to try. I am in heaven, high as hell (drowsy), but for the first day, I have not thrown up and my food is staying down. Pregnant with twins is not easy. Can't afford to lose too much weight. Everyone doesn't or won't have the same reaction, but I would highly recommend this drug. Precaution, take it at night only."

Diclegis (doxylamine / pyridoxine) for Nausea/Vomiting of Pregnancy "I had extreme nausea, couldn't keep water down, much less any kind of food. I tried 4 different medications before the Diclegis. Only one of those 4 worked, but I felt so drugged, and I was slurring my words. I'm extremely tired with the Diclegis, but I can keep some food and water down. I'm taking 2 at night, 1 in the morning, and 1 at noon. My house is messy a lot, and my 2-year-old sometimes wears pajamas all day because I'm so tired. It's not a perfect medicine, but it's better than not being able to walk across the room without almost fainting and going to the ER once a week for IV fluids and nutrition."

Diclegis (doxylamine / pyridoxine) for Nausea/Vomiting of Pregnancy "I started out taking 2 nightly, but this medicine seemed to make me so tired I could barely function. I am now taking just 1 a night, and even though I still feel a little nausea, it's not all day, and my vomiting has gone away for the most part. It wasn't expensive for me. My insurance did not cover this drug, but I only had to pay $40 for 60 pills. It's a small price to pay for me right now!"

Diclegis (doxylamine / pyridoxine) for Nausea/Vomiting of Pregnancy "My morning sickness started around 6 weeks, and by week 7, I was vomiting up to 40 times a day and ended up in the hospital due to dehydration. I was given Zofran through an IV, but the minute it wore off, I would be sick again. I was going to the hospital every 3 days for the IV and Zofran, then I started on Diclegis, and my world got better. I was still vomiting, but that went down to 2-3 times a day, which was bearable. I didn't notice any other side effects. I was able to return to work and remained on Diclegis for the next 4 months."

Diclegis (doxylamine / pyridoxine) for Nausea/Vomiting of Pregnancy "Best medication ever! I started taking it at 9 weeks after losing 10 lbs. I'm on my 17 wks and tried to stop it for one day to limit the use, but the nausea is still going. So I guess I'll keep using this medication because it's the only thing that seems to help. 100% with only 2 tablets at night."

Diclegis (doxylamine / pyridoxine) for Nausea/Vomiting of Pregnancy "I have hyperemesis gravidarum. This is my third pregnancy and third time having it. My doctor gave me Diclegis. I will say it has helped with the vomiting 90%. I only throw up when I get out of bed in the morning. I am able to eat food again without throwing it up seconds later. The downsides that I have noticed are the severe drowsiness and upset stomach at night. My stomach turns all night and makes it hard for me to get comfortable. The drowsiness... Well, I don't wake up until around 10 or 11 a.m. And then I'm back in bed around 3 and sleep until 6 or 7 p.m. And then back to sleep around 10 p.m. I pretty much traded the vomiting for drowsiness. I can't get anything done around my house and hate being in bed nearly all day."

Diclegis (doxylamine / pyridoxine) for Nausea/Vomiting of Pregnancy "Diclegis is by far the best medicine for morning sickness. I suffered with all my pregnancies (Hyperemesis Gravidarum), which is severe morning sickness. With this pregnancy, I was prescribed Diclegis, which works wonders. Not even drowsy! No nausea or vomiting. I love this medicine, it is a lifesaver and works great and is completely safe. Glad the FDA put it back on the market."
