For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I'm 5'9 and I weigh about 245. I have been on diethylpropion for about 4 days now. I've noticed a big difference. I lost about 5 pounds and I'm still losing. I forget to eat throughout the day. I eat once a day, but I drink fluids a lot, mainly water and sometimes sweet drinks. The taste of food is disgusting to me now, as I have to force myself to eat. The first night, I was unable to sleep, but now I'm getting used to it. Incredible amount of energy throughout the day and crashing at night. Side effects I've experienced include nervousness, anxiety, dizziness. It's still amazing! A miracle pill, after your body gets used to it, side effects are minimal. I hope to lose +50 pounds. I would recommend it to anyone who has trouble losing weight."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "At first, I was really nervous to take a pill to help me lose weight, but that was because I was assuming a lot about it. The first day, I was a little jittery, like I had just had a cup of coffee or a Red Bull, but it went away after a couple of hours. Then, the second day, I felt a difference in my bowel movement times. That same day, I did sit-ups, and I felt like I had to run to the bathroom. Other than that, I have literally had zero desire to eat and feel great on this thing! It's only been 3 days, and I've lost 4 lbs already. Again, I also run in the mornings and have been forcing myself to eat something because the will to eat is nonexistent. When you do eat, I have been turning away chocolate cookies and cakes, which is rare for me! DEFINITELY RECOMMEND!"

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I am completely satisfied with this medication. I had a few side effects the first 4 days (a bit jittery, headache, insomnia, constipation), but all but the constipation has passed. I have been on this for 3 weeks today and am down 11.4 pounds. I am thrilled with it as I had tried Phentermine and had terrible side effects and had to quit. I am on about a 900 to 1000 calorie daily diet, drinking lots more water and walking daily. It gives me a good energy...I want to be up and doing things, but not like hyperactivity. It's been a great experience so far."

Diethylpropion for Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I started Tenuate in mid-March, and now I am down 40 lbs. I use Tenuate along with a low-calorie diet and moderate exercise. I just reached one of my first goals, which was to be under 200 lbs. That was a big step for me. I haven't been this small since my first pregnancy back in 1995. I still have a long way to go, but I am very happy with the outcome thus far. I usually skip the Tenuate on the weekends because I tend not to eat breakfast on weekends. If I don't eat an hour or so after taking the pill in the mornings, I get a little jittery. I would recommend this to anyone looking to lose big numbers. I weigh in with my doctor once a month, and she monitors my blood pressure, etc. I couldn't be happier."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I have been on Diethylpropion for exactly one month now. When I was originally prescribed Diethylpropion, I was a little disappointed because I have heard such great things about Phentermine. The doctor explained why Diethylpropion was more suited for me because of my anxiety issues. The first few days of taking it, I did have elevated anxiety, but that ceased after about day 3. My starting weight was 230 lbs, 5'7", and exactly one month later, I am at 214. I keep my calorie content under 900 and lift a half hour of weights every other day and use the elliptical every once in a while. I have a desk job, so I do not get any exercise at work. My goal weight is 170 lbs by May, so I'm 1/4 of the way there!"

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I've been taking the med for two weeks and five days. In my first week, the side effects were anxiety and sweating. I didn't have dry mouth, but I do now. The second day, I felt depressed, the third day, I was anxious. Then I had mid-cycle bleeding from then on for about four days and was kind of tired, but I also wasn't well, and I have had the contraceptive implant fitted recently, so I wasn't really worried about the odd bleeding as I felt fine in myself. At the end of week one, I had lost 13 lbs, in my second week, I lost 4 lbs, so still a decent loss. I haven't exercised as I've been mad busy, but I will when it becomes hard to lose more weight, then I'll step it up with the exercise. :) It's a 10/10 for me so far, just listen to your body, you know your body best."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I have been on diethylpropion 25 mg three times a day for almost a month and have not lost any weight at all. I do exercise 5 days a week, so I figured I would see some fluctuations on the scale, but nothing. My appetite has not been suppressed at all with this medication; I actually feel like I am hungrier, if that makes any sense. The only positive about this medication is that it does not give me the jittery, teeth grinding, up-all-night feelings like phentermine gave me."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "Completely satisfied with this prescribed medication. The medication truly redirects your eating habits for the greater good. Minor side effects are dry mouth, anxiety, and constipation and will subside by drinking water. I've been on this prescribed medication since May 2017 and am down 20 pounds. Great results so far!"

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I was only 162 pounds at 5'5" when my doctor put me on diethylpropion. I have anxiety really bad, so she thought this was the best pill. I'm on 75 mg once a day. I take it at 10 a.m. From day one, it instantly stopped my appetite almost completely. I almost have to force myself to eat, and it's very small amounts. In 3 days, I've lost 6 pounds. I have anxiety, insomnia, and severe dry mouth. I drink tons of water. I can barely sleep at all, and when I'm awake, I feel kind of trapped on the couch. Sort of frozen from nervousness. I don't feel like I have a ton of energy, but my appetite is definitely gone. My blood pressure has gone up, and my heart rate has elevated considerably. The anxiety kicks in about 2-3 hours after taking it and subsides around 8-9 hours after taking it. So, the anxiety is gone by bedtime, but the insomnia is still there. Each day seems a little better though. I'm going to stick with it as long as none of the side effects worsen or any new ones arise."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I used Diethylpropion (Tenuate DOSPAN 75 mg) on and off for many years until it was withdrawn from the market after some 50 years of safe use, following serious adverse reactions (pulmonary hypertension) with similar anti-obesity agents, particularly Fen-Phen (a fenfluramine and phentermine combination therapy). Diethylpropion has a rapid onset similar to Dexamphetamine, but its relatively short duration of action doesn’t cause any significant insomnia issues. I personally found Diethylpropion very effective and more acceptable than Phentermine (Duromine) or Ethylamphetamine (Apetinil), which both caused me anxiety and a ‘jaded’ feeling. If still marketed in your jurisdiction, I’d recommend Diethylpropion as an acceptable, convenient (one 75 mg SR tablet on rising), effective anti-obesity medication, which is largely free of unpleasant side effects."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I have been taking this medication for approximately 5 weeks. Along with smaller portions, better food choices, and increased exercise, I have lost 19 pounds. It seems to be working well. I don't know if it's the medication or the exercise, but I have experienced some jitteriness, overstimulation, insomnia, and menstrual upset. The worst effect would have to be the taste. I definitely get the dryness, unpleasant taste, but it's nothing that extra water and some mouthwash can't fix. Overall, I am EXTREMELY satisfied with this medication and would recommend it."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "The weight loss clinic gave me 75 mg, which I break into 3 and take 1/3 a day. I don't take it until around 10:30 a.m., and it works pretty well but starts making me jittery and anxious around 4 or 5 p.m. I am extra sensitive to medication and need very little. The problem is I drink wine to get rid of the jitters and then start eating in the evening. The first time I used it, I lost 19 pounds. This time I lost about 5 and lost my motivation. I only need to lose about 10 pounds at this point but am stuck. I run, so I get plenty of exercise."
