"Both my Mother and husband developed C. diff. after taking Cipro for a urinary infection. Both were over 65 and both had hospital stays after taking that drug. My husband had only taken it for 5 days out of the 10 prescribed. I will never take it."

"Cipro is great! I feel relief after an hour of taking it but I also take Cranberry pills on the first couple doses to help with flushing... Pain is minimal after the first dose along with frequency."

"I had to take Cipro for UTI since I had mild to moderate reactions to Macrobid or Bactrim. Will not take again even if it did clear the UTI and I could not take my Crestor or Ibuprofen during the 3-day course and had a mild 'swelling' feeling in the back of the throat which was relieved by Zyrtec. Tell MD of all allergies before taking."
