Carisoprodol for Muscle Spasm "Soma has been the only spasm medicine that is affordable, improving my quality of life after three back surgeries. Some of the side effects from other medicines, like Flexeril, have left me tired all the time and with a feeling of irritability. But my doctor has recently told me she will soon stop prescribing it. I am looking for affordable alternatives now."

For Muscle Spasm "Motorcycle accident nearly killed me. Many compound fractures, nothing repaired. Have ribs, collarbone, other bones that stick out, hurt. All I got at the hospital was a morphine pump and a bed. At the mercy of doctors and the government, I've been on carisoprodol for 16 years and never had a desire to take more than 2 a day. Makes me tired, so I take one before dinner and at bedtime. It really helps with pain, especially with a narcotic. Why do some reviewing it talk about taking too much? You're not supposed to take more than prescribed of any medicine, so why go there? It's people like these that have made it hard to get this drug."

For Muscle Spasm "Although it often makes me extremely tired, I have definitely benefited from using it. I no longer struggle with my muscle spasms as bad as before. It has given me a great deal of relief. I am prescribed Soma for RLS (restless leg syndrome), RA (rheumatoid arthritis), and muscle spasms. I am pregnant at the moment, and my Dr. has allowed me to continue taking this medication."

Carisoprodol for Muscle Spasm "I went on this medication as a daytime option for bad muscle spasms/pain. I’m a single mom who can’t afford to be conked out from meds and care for my son. I had tried some stronger meds that made me too tired during the day. So my doctor put me on this after I asked for something to take that wouldn’t make me sleepy. Although it didn’t make me tired, it also did very little to help with my severe muscle spasms. I really can’t say I noticed much improvement from it."

For Muscle Spasm "I have herniated disks L5 and between C3 and C4. I got a prescription for carisoprodol and painkillers. Kept the carisoprodol for a while because I didn't use it. Had a recent spasm in my neck and used two 10 mg pills over one day. I was able to really see the effects of just these two pills because I was taking no other drugs at this time. Effects: The next day, muscle spasm has subsided significantly. Didn't take more. Side effects: lethargy. Took an hour nap and it wasn't enough. I never nap. Went to bed early, got up late. Breathing was labored upon waking. Slight headache in the morning, a bit drowsy, slightly dizzy, and unenthusiastic about life."

Carisoprodol for Muscle Spasm "Did not work at all for my neck spasms. It made me feel tired and dizzy with no pain relief at all."
