Carisoprodol for Muscle Spasm "I have suffered from many ailments in the past few years, one of which was sliding on black ice while working, hitting my neck and back on a metal step to my bucket truck. The muscle spasms I get are just awful...muscles twisting and foot looks deformed when it happens. Soma is the only medication that gives any kind of relief. I take it sparingly as not to become dependent upon it. It does make you drowsy, but I would rather be somewhat drowsy than be in that horrible pain."

Carisoprodol for Muscle Spasm "I suffered major injuries in a motorcycle wreck. Was in and out of a coma for 6 months. Doctor was able to save my leg, took a year before I could walk again. The muscle spasms were nonstop, as well as the pain. Went through 10 years of testing before I was placed on a drug treatment program that actually worked, felt like a lab rat. Have been on Soma and Tylenol/Acetaminophen for now 30 years. It keeps my pain and muscle spasms at a level I can tolerate and take care of myself."

For Muscle Spasm "Morons who come here warning 'Beware or you'll OD if you take with benzos' is why we reliable, zero issue, chronic pain patients can't get our required med dosage! Because you're an irresponsible idiot who keeps taking too many drugs repeatedly and OD'ing, don't give meds a bad rap! Ask someone to please help dispense your meds! I take 3 mg Xanax, 4-30 mg oxycodone split every 4 hrs. & 3 Soma daily. (Was on 4 recommended dose & just cut back, thanks to abusers!) Now suffering through the night, as they last just 3 hours! Prescribed Buspar for sleep, but it doesn't equal 1 extra Soma I had. ONLY muscle relaxer that relieves 6 herniated discs, sciatica, osteoarthritis, and migraines. I've been on meds 30 years with no issues! People like this guy we can thank for harsher guidelines and our never-ending suffering. Unfairly stereotyped due to loser stupidity! So take your warnings elsewhere before you ruin it for the rest of us old folks who just want to sleep and function pain-free until we die!"

For Muscle Spasm "In 1990 with DDD of L4, L5, and C3. I have a lot of sciatic pain, neck and back spasms. My ortho put me on Soma 350 2x/day. I had 2 disc fusions done (L5 and C3). I had to start going to P.M. in 1998, they put me on Morphine Sulfate 30 mg ER 2x/day and Soma 2x/day. Since 2008 I've been disabled, my body has been like a domino effect. I have osteoarthritis throughout my body, DDD, fibromyalgia, and nephropathy all extremities so bad that I've been on the same meds, except both were 3x/day since 2011 up until less than 2 months ago. I had to change P.M. Dr, and this Dr is trying to kill me with a med called 'Embeda.' It has naltrexone hydrochloride in it!!! DO NOT TAKE until you read all about it!! Along with no more Soma or any muscle relaxant."

For Muscle Spasm "Yes, Carisoprodol is the best relaxant I've ever had. Two weeks after cervical spine surgery, a rear-end collision (I was a belted passenger) damaged another nerve in my neck (and arm) plus my lumbar spine. I have been taking up to four a day for eight years now. When I first began taking it, I felt woozy and sleepy, so I cut it in half. Once my body got used to it, I was able to take the whole tablet plus 20 mg of oxycodone, which gave me much better relief from severe pain and spasms. The only withdrawal I've had was more pain and spasms when I forgot to take it."

For Muscle Spasm "I have been taking Soma for 7 years now. It is a long time, I know, but if it wasn't for it, I wouldn't have my life back somewhat. I have a neurological pain disease that tells my mind that past injuries still hurt, which causes pain and muscle spasms. This medication actually helps more than my pain medications."
