For Major Depressive Disorder "This drug was a lifesaver, literally if you know what I mean. Six months on Prozac (20 mg) after depression's sudden onset was a disaster with trembling, brain fog, chest-pounding anxiety, an eye floater, and gastrointestinal issues. Auvelity started to improve my mood within three days and got better once Prozac was out of the system over about a month. The early side effects were some weird tired feeling in my legs that went away after a few weeks. There is some mild shakiness a few times a day. Today, I tentatively feel like a normal person again and almost like who I was before the depression's onset after about 10 weeks of 1 tablet per day. Going to 2 gave me some anxiety, it seems 1 tablet is good enough for me. There is some fatigue associated with the drug, but it is mild and not every day. I was lucky to get prescribed Auvelity."

For Major Depressive Disorder "I've struggled with depression since I was 19—I'm now 32. After contracting COVID in late 2021, my depression became seemingly untreatable. I tried several different medications, but they were either ineffective or made things worse. I was on the verge of starting ketamine treatment when my doctor mentioned Auvelity as a possible alternative. Since I had previously been on Wellbutrin, we weren’t sure if insurance would cover it—but thankfully, it does, and I’m only paying $10 a month. I’ve been on Auvelity for just one month, and oh my goodness—it’s been a lifesaver. At first, I felt foggy, had memory issues, and experienced a strange dryness I can’t quite explain. But after about three weeks, the benefits kicked in. I finally feel like myself again—like I did before COVID. Hope is not lost after all!"

"I only started taking Auvelity yesterday for treatment-resistant depression. Currently going through TMS now, trying to avoid Spravato. Don’t like the feeling of being disassociated, my doctor said give it a week, but I just feel flat, yucky, like I’m just here. My coordination is off and very irritable, it’s weird to explain. You feel loopy but not euphoric. I finally just got off Lamictal. I take Seroquel to sleep, and now one Auvelity. I have my Ativan for anxiety but haven’t needed it. Been diagnosed with PTSD, GAD, and TRD. I’m going to see how it goes. I’ve been on everything in 22 years and nothing has worked. Will check in again in a few weeks."
