Subutex (buprenorphine) "It helped me to get clean and lead a productive life but I’ve been dependent on buprenorphine for twice as long as I was hooked on pain pills. I’m finally trying to come off of it after 6 long years and if I had known how hard it is to come off of it I would’ve never taken this route. I’m thankful that it helped me to lead a “normal” life but the withdrawals are so much more intense than opioids. If doctors would prescribe this medicine short term and at a low dosage it would be a perfect solution but typically they put you on the highest dose possible and suggest you stay on it for a long time. It’s really sad and it makes me angry that doctors prescribe this to people the way they do. If you need help getting off heroin or pain pills, I would recommend taking this medicine for a short time and it will work wonders! But any longer and you’ll just be trading one expensive addiction for another."

Subutex (buprenorphine) "I been on subs for ten years now, was the only way to stop 16 years of addiction on heroin without relapsing but this drug is  harder to get clean from compared to heroin. I tried for one week and was hell never never been in so much pain, my bones hurt so much felt like ants running in my blood the sweat the shivering no sleep at all. It is hell 10 times worst then heroin. If u start take subs take it only for a couple-weeks after that u can’t stop taking it. I’m reducing it now to 4 ml a day I want stop taking it as I been told the long taking of subs not good for your health. All the best for all"

Subutex (buprenorphine) "After taking pain relievers everyday for years, I would be taking them just to avoid withdrawal, I literally woke up everyday with withdrawal and even if I wanted to stop I couldn’t because I was so afraid of withdrawal. I was prescribed Subutex 8mg twice a day. I was so scared it wouldn’t work or would have bad side effects but I finally did it, I woke up with withdrawal as usual and even though I was nervous and scared I took the Subutex and it worked!! Totally stopped my withdrawal completely within a few minutes, the same or even better than if I had taken a Percocet. This is literally a miracle drug I am still amazed how well it works, absolutely zero withdrawal and absolutely zero bad side effects. I know how scared you are about going through withdrawal but with this unbelievable drug Subutex you can stop taking painkillers with no withdrawal it’s really amazing I hope this helps someone one day"

Subutex (buprenorphine) "I have been on Subutex for a couple of years after 25 years methadone maintenance. It was a godsend. I strongly recommend it for opiate addiction. It was also helping with severe pain due to severe osteoarthritis but not a lot. I stopped taking it at 0.4 mg two weeks ago and, apart from fatigue, am absolutely fine. It was my own idea to detox. Feeling mentally positive. Hope this helps."

Subutex (buprenorphine) "Suboxone/Subutex has saved my life. After five years of opiate addiction, this medicine has set me free. I feel contempt with life and normal, for once. Buprenorphine is truly a miracle and life saver. If you want to get clean, and you can find a doctor that truly wants to help you and understands addiction, there's nothing standing in your way. It is expensive without insurance, but it is worth it. I take 16mg of the Suboxone films a day, and I have not had a craving since I started taking them. If you want to get clean, this is the best way to begin that process."

Subutex (buprenorphine) "Subutex saved my life. I had been opioid dependent for 7 years. From one 5mg a day to 100mg just not to feel sick. I've been on 8mg to 16mg subutex for 5 months..and although I still crave occasionally I'm not pill seeking or dope sick. I know eventually I will need to come off subutex and I'm ok with that. My life no longer revolves around my next pill or whatever available if no pills. I hate that life."

Sublocade (buprenorphine) "Been a Suboxone patient for 11 years after 5 yrs of pain pill dependence. It has been a Godsend and gave me my life back. But I’m tired of the strips. Been stable on one 8/2 mg strip per day for the entire 11 years but some months running out early because for some reason they don’t seem to be effective every day of the month. Tired of suffering when those maths occurred and lately they’ve been occurring more frequently. Changed Dr’s because my didn’t dispense Sublocade. Got my 1st dose yesterday and it’s now been about 36 hrs and I feel great! 0 withdrawal symptoms. Only side-effect is some mild head pressure, wouldn’t call it’s a headache. The shot itself really burned while being injected. About 30 sec worth and I was glad when it ended but 0 complications at the injection site. I will let everyone know after 1 month but for now I’m so glad I gave this a try."

Subutex (buprenorphine) "I am a recovered IV heroin user. I have tried many other treatment options, and the only one that worked is Subutex. I have been on it for about 5 years now and have very slowly decreased my dosage from 16mg daily (2 pills) down to a very small fraction of 1 pill (probably only 1mg daily). So, I will soon be free from this medicine as well. I highly recommend this option to anybody that wants to quit using opiates. As the posters have said, you actually have to want to stop using, and create a strong desire within yourself to get clean, and keep a positive attitude and belief in yourself that you can do this, even if you have failed before. Be strong and you will get through the very mild bad part, which is only for a week or two."

Subutex (buprenorphine) "i would like to say to anyone that really wants to quit abusing opiates that Subutex saved my life. I've been abusing prescription pain medicines for 5 yrs. I began taking Suboxone then after about a year switched over to Subutex because it cost less. Today I have no cravings and live a very normal life. At least I will not go to jail on a felony drug charge if I'm caught with them and I'm taking them under doctors supervision. I thank GOD and my wife for standing by me through all this. I've come a long way."

Sublocade (buprenorphine) "I’ve been on suboxone films for 10 years and it did save my life. A lot of Dr’s and people have NO clue what they’re talking because Suboxone doesn’t get you high at all and you can’t compare it to methadone but switched to Sublocade shot and so far love it. I don’t have to remember to take it and no ups and downs. AAA plus for this med"

Sublocade (buprenorphine) "There is NO naloxone in this med for anyone wondering or saying there is. Sublocade has buprenorphine ONLY. I was on strips for 2 years before, technically, being forced to go to the shot due to other people in my area diverting their meds. I have never diverted my medication, but was told if I wanted to do maintenance, I would have to switch and I was happy to because I don't divert my meds and could care less how it is administered. I have nothing but good things to say about it. Don't have to worry about traveling with it or the box falling apart in your purse or bag, theft or any other problems that arise if you currently take the pills or strips. I'd recommend this to anyone wanting to do maintenance if your insurance covers it."

Subutex (buprenorphine) "I am 59 years old and after an accident about 11 years ago I was put on 10/325 Percocets till my surgery. I had a very active life (big job, friends, parties etc) and started to abuse the Percocets by taking too many a day. I also used to do a lot of Cocaine but always had it under control. A complete different story with the Percocets. Once I figured out that I was addicted I was put on Suboxone and then Subutex. A few years ago I tried to get off and it was a nightmare and I failed. I am now on a Maintenance dose of 8mg and pretty much know that I will be on it till they put the lid on me. Bottom line is you are trading one addiction for another without getting high. That's the ugly truth!"

Subutex (buprenorphine) "I have tried suboxen and methadone but subutex is by far the best! It saved my life. I was addicted to H for about 10 years and I got a doctor to prescribe me subutex and watch me close. Along with weekly drug tests. And I have been the most clean ever on 10 years. I can walk with my head held high now. Feels real good to be normal again!"

Subutex (buprenorphine) "Don’t take subs for longer than a few weeks. Make sure you get down to about .25 mg before you kick. Have been on subs for 10 years. It only did it ruin my stomach. Ruin my ability to sleep. But it did this under the supervision and of a doctor. This drug is not meant for long term use. I have got down to .25 mg but bc I have been on for 10 years the withdrawal was terrible. Worse than any opiate withdrawal. 13 days into it and I still can’t sleep. Can’t move because my body is so fatigued and the chills and body aches remain. Don’t take this medication longer than it takes to detox. It will ruin your life."

Sublocade (buprenorphine) "I just got the sublocade shot 3 hours ago and while I feel a little loopy. I just wanted to get some support as I am freaking out knowing that I can never use again. Being an addict for over thirty years and getting the shot at 5 months sober, I am just wondering what the sublocade community is like as I have read all the reviews before I went in. I guess I will have more to say about it when I have more then three hours of it in my system."

Subutex (buprenorphine) "I am currently on Subutex and have been for almost 2 years. Like many others have said it is a great medicine to be on if you really want to quit your habits. It can be a long process for some and for others it may take not long at all. Some people use it for pain management. But I myself have done good on this medicine. It's been such a long road for me like I'm sure it has for the rest of you. I am now finally getting down to such a low amount and soon should be free from Subutex. I know my addiction will always be there but with the right help I can stay clean!"

Subutex (buprenorphine) "I have been taking pills since 1997 started with Vicodin and graduated to heroin, roxicodone and Oxycontin. Been to prison twice because of my addiction. Came home stayed clean a year then started again. In August 2010 I was eating 100 30mg roxis a day. It's hard to believe but true. I went to a doctor and he put me on Subutex 4 a day down to 1/4 a day in a 5 day period. Felt okay but little chilly, cold. This is a miracle medicine for anyone who is using. Please try it."

Sublocade (buprenorphine) "I went from suboxone strips to the 300 shot and it was an adjustment at first, but great after my body adjusted (no need to take strips daily etc). However, after getting the 300 shot for 4 months I switched down to the 100 shot last week. Withdrawals started yesterday, worse today. Anyone know how long until I feel normal on the 100 shot? My experiences have otherwise been exactly the same as everyone else on here so I’m figuring it’s pretty standard. Any help is appreciated, thank you!"

Subutex (buprenorphine) "I have been addicted to heroin for 5 years and opioid pain pills for 26 years. Now since starting and continuing the Subutex now for a little over 6 month's I really feel like with the care I receive from my doctor, medicine, intake meetings, and my counsellor that I'm headed in the right direction for the first time in years. Thank you all for your comments as well because you all are one of the big factors to me starting Subutex in the first place. I can honestly say hey I know how y'all feel!!! God bless you all keep your heads held high cause you're worth it!!"

Sublocade (buprenorphine) "I was extremely excited to try the Sublocade shot for several reason, for one I had heard A LOT of really good reviews on Tik Tok from creators who had tried it and were or seemed to be very successful and happy with it. And for two I have been on Suboxone strips for at least 15 years or more for pain pill addiction, and I had heard that if you wanted to get off Suboxone that this was the best and easiest way to do it without so much sickness. So I finally talked to my doctor about it and finally got my insurance to approve it, and I was so excited to get my first injection. I did really well the first 5-7 days I felt great, with no withdrawals I was excited that I had made the decision to get the injection, but that quickly changed for me after week 1!!! After week 1 I began to fall into a deep dark depression as well as anxiety and crying spells an NO motivation! I would be ok one hour and literally not ok the next hpur like I was on a roller coaster! Long story short, for me I wish I had never got it!!"

Subutex (buprenorphine) "I started the Suboxone program about 1 year ago but, I'm now currently taking Subutex. The reason I've been put on Subutex is due to a work related injury and with Suboxone one cannot take any opiates due to the blocker and I need the Subutex because I'll be having surgery soon. Long story short....I WOULD RECOMMEND A SUBOXONE TREATMENT PROGRAM TO ANYONE-YOU DON'T HAVE THOSE "CRAVINGS" YOU ONCE HAD! IF YOU ARE WILLING TO STOP "USING" THIS IS THE BEST PROGRAM AVAILABLE. IN MY OPINION GIVE THE PROGRAM A TRY AND FINALLY YOU WILL FEEL NORMAL AGAIN- IT'S AMAZING HOW WONDERFUL YOU FEEL KNOWING YOU ARE CLEAN AND MOST IMPORTANTLY YOU ARE FINALLY BACK TO YOUR OLD SELF AGAIN."

Sublocade (buprenorphine) "This medication is lifesaving. Unfortunately, the process for actually receiving the medication is extremely devastating. Getting this medication, for my husband, required MONTHS of spending HOURS a day on the phone with insurance companies, specialty pharmacies and various financial aid programs. Each party involved came with their own set of specific guidelines, human error, delays and issues. This medication could eliminate the opiate epidemic. To receive this life saving medication, a person requires an advocate who is able and willing to dedicate months of their life towards getting a medication. Interesting how easily opiates are prescribed yet treatment for the repercussions are nearly impossible. Lives would be saved if this medication were more accessible."
