"Been on it for a month, and I don’t think I can continue this medication. it must be too strong for me because it makes me feel like I’m dreaming, and makes my body feel so so strange and numb. Kind of like when your legs fall asleep, but all over and for hours and hours! I think it’s helped my anxiety, but I can’t stand feeling numb!! Also makes my head so foggy I felt like I was drugged all day today."

"I'm only in my second week of the Rexulti, but feeling terrible. Hot flashes, dizziness, blurred vision, weight gain, bloating, shortness of breath, and suicidal thoughts. My depression feels much worse! I'm kind of at the end of my rope because I've tried everything else, even MAOI's. But I'm definitely going to have to get off of this med. :("

"The Doctor gave me 14 day trial and after second day I felt change. I went from dark place, hearing voices and other issues. To almost being the women I was 3 years ago. I'm HAPPY AGAIN and with that been said I'm motivated and I stopped sleeping long hours out of day. Depression disorder is such hard thing to overcome. And finally now I feel courage to move on. The only problem I've is my out of pocket cost $250. And at moment I do not have money resources. I lost my job over 2 years and had accident year ago in which I'm still recovering. I'm saving every penny to buy month supply."

"If I'm being honest, it's done nothing for me except get me physically addicted to the drug itself. I have BPD + Depression At $10 a pill I'm pretty upset. Now I have to deal with the EXTREME (take note anyone thinking about this drug) withdrawal symptoms whilst dealing with my already moody, miserable symptoms of BPD and Depression. Avoid it at all costs, it's nothing but a money grab."

"I am a 60-year-old female. I have been on Prozac for OCD at 60 mg for over 20 years. The last 2 1/2 years I’ve been filled with anxiety and dread. I was taking an Ativan nearly every day just to get rid of the pit in my stomach that I would wake up with. I would struggle all day to try to keep the anxiety away. To help me deal with some of the anxiousness I was started on .25 mg of Rexulti To give my Prozac some help. After about four days I didn’t need Ativan anymore. So far so good, two weeks in and am pleasantly surprised. It is easy to get up in the morning, I usually have a couple of projects going during the day and even went for a walk today. I was spending a lot of time in the recliner watching television, feeling like I didn’t have any motivation. I was scared to take this medication, with all the side effects listed. Glad I got over that. I feel like my old self! OCD is not cured, Of course, but anxiety and depression are a Lot better!"

"I've been on Rexulti for four months now and I'm up from 142 lbs to 170 lbs. this weight sucks!!! I've never been this big! Unfortunately it's done exactly what I needed it to as far as my mental health goes. I'm seeing my doctor today and will be discussing alternate medications."

"I have been on this medication for about 4 months now. Having been through literally double digits on trying medications I was reluctant and didn't have high hopes. My diagnosis is BPD and BP1. The combination along with BP1 being treatment resistant I had low hope in actually finding something that worked. Within the first week of taking Rexulti it felt that mental clouds began to part and I could start to see the sun coming through. Skip ahead a few months later and I am living virtually depression and anxiety free along with minimal manic episodes. I started at 0.5 mg for a week and I now take 1mg daily. This medication was a literal life saver and also the reason I no longer self harm. Only side note/side effect I have had is some weight gain and some tremors when I first wake up in the morning. Otherwise no other issues."

"Don’t fall for the savings coupon! They covered the cost for the first three 1-month supplies, but now they want $570 for it. I can’t afford that. And next month I was told it will be over $900 because I haven’t met my $9,100 deductible yet. Now I’ll have to go off it without being properly titrated down. This is dangerous! I called the number for Rexulti and they made it clear that they couldn’t care less. Such reckless and uncaring behavior from a pharmaceutical company. If you can afford such an expensive Rx, then it may help you. I think it might’ve helped me a bit. I guess I’ll find out for sure when I go off of it. I just feel very deceived and screwed over by the manufacturer. I hope you find what works for you."

"Was on 0.5 mg Rexulti for 3 months as an add-on to Mirtazapine for depression. It massively increased my anxiety and caused tremendous restlessness - I couldn’t sit still or concentrate. Have tapered off over a 30 day period and am finally feeling calmer. This medication was just released in the past few years, I feel like it hadn’t been evaluated sufficiently prior."

"I am presently trying to recover my mind after feeling depressed for about 6 months. I have been taking Pristique for years, and my doc added Rexulti a week ago. I must admit it is SLOW going, writing this is exhausting. I see a psychiatrist that I like and admire, I have severe depression on both sides of the family. I've had episodes of depression in the past, neither this intense nor long and I'm scared. I have vowed not to harm myself, to my husband and children, who top my gratitude list, but I'm dancing as fast as I can."

"Absolutely horrible experience. My psychiatrist gave me a free two-week sample of 0.5mg Rexulti pills. Since I began taking them I have been EXTREMELY irritable, stressed, and unable to calm down. I’m throwing the rest of them in the trash, hopefully these symptoms will go away soon."

"Dear God, save me from this drug.I took this for 2-3 months, violently sick 2 my stomach daily. My doc tried a variety of antidiarrea pills to no avail; I lived in the bathroom. I worked to d/c thru a slow taper, causing the worst drug w/d I've ever encountered. Going from 2mg to 1mg I threw up IN my car TWICE, & walked around w/intense nausea. I had to taper at a 1/4 mg after that, sick throughout. I eventually got off-a near wk ago, & bc of its lovely 91 hr 1/2 life I'm still stuck in the bathroom. I wake up nightly, rushing to the bathroom. It's lightening-up but "better" has never been such a relative word. I guess a decrease from 20+ trips without warning to 7-8 times with a "manageable" 15 minute daytime warning is an improvement, but it's not quality of life. No prior major stomach issues, just this nasty pill that's caused a complete life interruption. At the very start of a stomach issue I'd advise tapering off, there is no drug known to man that can control Rexulti's effects on your GI track."

"I have been on Rexulti 1mg for 11 days now. I feel it is helping. I do not yet feel “good” or “great”, but I feel a little more alive and glad to be alive. So for that I give it a rating of 7 for now. Only time will tell if it will make a bigger different in the next couple weeks. I am also on 150mg of Venlafaxine as well."

"I’ve been taking the 14 day trial pack of REXULTI woman’s on the 9th night, I had the worst most vivid nightmare I’ve had in years. I also was unable to stay asleep for more than 1 hour at a time. I also felt several other side effects that are inconvenient. I do not recommend this if you have severe anxiety as it only works for a short period of time before stopping."

"I was on Abilify for almost ten years, but, as well as it worked, I could not stop gaining weight because I was always starving. My psychiatrist suggested Rexulti, and my weight gain has stopped without a change in diet or exercise. I take Rexulti for psychotic depression, and it keeps me stable and fully functional. I take 2mg a day at night, because it is sedating. Highly recommended for anyone who wants an alternative to Abilify."

"This medication has been a lifesaver for me. Rexulti works really well for my depression. The only side effect that I do not like is feeling fatigued throughout the day but I’m on stimulants to help combat that. I highly recommend it!"

"This has changed my life. I was severely depressed and anxious for an entire year. I couldn’t do anything. I was a shell of myself just going through the motions. This changed my life in just 3 days. I have now been on it for 5 months along with paroxetine and it has seriously given me my life back. Definitely a 10/10."

"On 2.0 mg Rexulti and it’s working great for my rapid cycling bipolar! Some weight gain, but if I take it before bed I don’t notice the hunger. Starting to cook, clean and just be a normal person again. No more angry outbursts. Have been on many antidepressants which didn’t work or the side effects were awful (bleeding problems or breathing issues). So far so good with this medication but only 1 month in, I hope it keeps working!"

"I was put on this medication to help with the fatigue I’ve been experiencing for close to 2 years. I was taking it in conjunction with Cipralex (20 mg) which I’ve been on for 8 years. I was taking 0.5 mg of Rexulti for the past 3 months and my energy levels were great. Unfortunately it made me gain 20 pounds in that time. My appetite was out of control... seriously, I was eating out like 4-5 times per week and binging at night. Insane. I just went off of it close to 2 weeks ago and after 2 days my appetite went back to normal. I just can’t be on antipsychotics."

"I have cyclothymia which is a mild cousin of bipolar. I was in the deepest darkest depression where the state police forced me to the hospital for a psych evaluation. I was suicidal. The mood swings were horrendous and I was ruining my life and everyone's life around me. Until Rexulti tied with Lexapro. When I say life changing and life saving, I mean it. I'm alive because Rexulti. Can't be without it!"

"Took the lowest dose for Rexulti for 3 days. By day 3 I knew something was really wrong. I couldn’t remember the day (1st time in my life), felt confused, weak (I’m an athlete), and couldn’t get out of bed. Thank God I stopped, as soon as my girlfriend and I noticed the same side effects. 3 days later I still feel lingering effects and feel obligated to warn others. Only try this as a last resort and make sure someone is with you 24 by 7."

"Rexulti has been a life changer! I'm on 1mg. I know that's not a lot, but it's worked so well for me. Way less depressed mood than usual. I have Bipolar Type II. This was an add on to Trileptal and it's really been amazing for me. Would definitely recommend to others :)"
