"I have had two doses of Fasenra now, same side effects as most people: fever, headache, and flu symptoms for the first day. After that, I felt great and could actually get on and do things. It's really good for me. It only lasts 3 weeks, and I start to feel breathless again and can feel when my eosinophils (eso) is getting high again. I am due my third one next week and ready for it now. I am getting a lot of aches in my body and cramps. I've never had these before taking this, so I know it is a side effect for me. Really painful feet, too, but I'm not sure if this is related. This has worked wonders for me and to stop the steroids is fantastic. I am not a drug user, even paracetamol I hate to take, so I was very reluctant to take this but have tried every medication they have now and no change for me. I am still supposed to take my other meds, but to be honest, I haven't as I feel this is working well and lowering my count for the first time in three years."

"Switched to this med from an IV med. Fasenra is not working as well and I am experiencing a very fast heart rate. Hoping I can get my doctor to switch me back. However, I do prefer injections to the IV."

"I had my injection of Fasenra on the 24th of March. After suffering for four years, with very high eosinophils, I was wheezing almost all the time and was on prednisone every week or so. I am feeling at least 70% better, not taking any steroids, took my Ventolin and Symbicort only 3 times since the injection. My wheezing is cured by 80-90%. I was lethargic on the first day of my injection and am feeling constipated for the last week or so, don't know if it is the side effect of Fasenra. Overall, I hope that I would be completely normal within a month or two."

"I used Fasenra for 4 doses. I developed a horrible rash that lasted for almost 3 weeks. I was in and out of the ER with all the usual treatments, which worked for an hour or two, and the rash returned. I was subsequently medevacked to a larger city and intubated for over 3 days. I told my pulmonologist it was this drug, and he said there have been no reported cases. I was told by the Fasenra pharmacist (at the company) who also said the same thing. The only thing that changed was the administration of Fasenra. I would not recommend the medication. It does seem that there are more side effects listed, including rashes. I should have waited five more years."

"On 19-10-2021, my wife took the second dose of Fasenra after the dose on the date of 26-10-2021. She is having very bad pain in her chest, low hypertension, giddiness, and low energy. Before Fasenra, she was not having any symptoms."

"I started Fasenra almost 12 months ago in December 2020. Before that, I had several ER visits and was hospitalized all in three months and was wheezing for one full year nonstop every single day. Was unable to breathe or climb a stair or walk a few steps. I was on ten medications including steroids and a nebulizer, and after Fasenra, the wheezing is gone. But what is bothering me is the excessive sweating and heavy head/lethargy or excessive fatigue. I can get out of bed for only 6 hours per 24 hours. The rest of the time I feel lethargic/heavy head. So I’m totally confused. When I remember the wheezing, Fasenra is a blessing, but when I think of the condition I’m in, I have no way of finding if it’s a side effect of Fasenra or the AstraZeneca corona vaccine or what. Will need more time to figure things out. But I do recommend Fasenra for nonstop wheezing. I wish others could comment on their fatigue and energy levels."

"I have been taking Fasenra for a year and a half. I suffered from terrible asthma, having multiple attacks a day and through the night, was always wheezing, and was constantly on prednisone. The first dose of Fasenra made me tired and achy. I had hives on the bottom of my feet for a week or two after every shot for the first 6 to 8 months, but I decided to continue. They went away and I haven’t had an asthma attack since the first week after the first shot. Stopped taking steroids and Singulair. I highly recommend it."

"I have no asthma for the first time in 45 years. I no longer take any other kind of asthma medicine. It is a wonderful medicine. I go to a clinic to have the injections once every other month now. No pain, very easy. I no longer use an inhaled steroidal medicine, which I'm very happy about. Thank you for this."

"I’ve been on Fasenra for approximately 3-4 years, switched from Nucala. While on Nucala, before every dose, I started developing joint pain, albeit my asthma was starting to improve. Since switching to Fasenra, my asthma improved dramatically, but the amount of pain in my joints leading up to my next dose has become unbearable. Being only 24 (let alone experiencing this at any age), being unable to move from my bed at times due to the pain feels so diminishing. Since starting Fasenra, my hair also thinned, and I’ve suffered menstrual issues that align with my Fasenra dosing. As my lung function has improved and I’ve not had any asthma exacerbations for quite some time, I am seeking to be taken off the injections. My specialist team has ignored every appointment about how much I’ve been suffering with the side effects, but I’m tired of being shut down about it. The quicker I’m off this now, the better."

"I have my 1st dose of Fasenra 5 days ago on March 26th, 2021. I went to my pulmonologist, and she administered the sample on me. I really hope it will work. After 2 years of suffering with very high numbers of eosinophils, I've been two or three times in the hospital due to asthma attacks. All my organs started to be affected by the eosinophilia I have. I have been on Dupixent and Nucala. Both of them helped me lower the numbers, but made me so sick. I will share with you my side effects from Fasenra. I got a headache and slight dizziness; muscle spasms and pain, which almost are gone; chest tightness and throat pain. The only thing that is bothering me currently a lot is the mouth sore. It appeared after the second day. I had that with all of my previous biological injections, but did not expect it after Fasenra. I was not able to find that side effect listed for it. Also, I did not see it in the review here. I truly would appreciate it if someone who got it after the injection would share with me."

"Age 64...family history of asthma....asthma events have increased and worsened over the last 10 years and was hospitalized in 2023. Testing identified eosinophilic asthma this year and I changed medication to Trelegy and Fasenra injections. My life has changed for the better. No ongoing chest infections (was getting one every 2-3 months) with multiple antibiotics and prednisolone. The one sinus infection I have had was milder and although it went to my chest, it didn't create bronchospasm with thick, hard-to-shift phlegm. Can't believe how much the combo of Trelegy puffer and Fasenra injection has changed my lung function for the better .....and no side effects from either medication. The injection was administered at Specialist rooms for the first 3 times to assess side effects, but now my husband administers at home every 8 weeks. Easy pen-style injection"

"It’s made a massive difference to my asthma. I have been having Benralizamub for just over a year and have not needed to receive emergency care or hospital inpatient care for that time. I have only had 2 exacerbations with chest infections which needed Prednisolone. I have taken so much Prednisolone prior to the prescribing of my injections that I have developed diabetes. I am so grateful to be able to breathe well and not need my rescue inhaler, nebulizer or 999 service anywhere near as much. I do have chronic fatigue, but don’t know if it’s related to my injections. It’s easy to self-inject and I keep my supply in my fridge and the reminder on Alexa and in my diary. I live in the UK (NHS provides all medical care) and my medicine is delivered to my home, no cost to myself, from the clinic in the city."

"At least 3 years of constant asthma suffocation. Fasenra worked immediately. I was ecstatic. Took 4th dose with a Pneumovax. Bad shoulder pain from Pneumovax. In September, it was mostly better when I took the Fasenra 4th dose in November. Suddenly, my right shoulder was killing me. Then the ligaments in my thumbs are strumming/popping. I'm having joint pain and stiffness, and even though I'm not doing anything strenuous, my right rotator cuff is torn, and the bicep tendon has separated from the bone. I'm looking at surgery. I've never had muscle pain or arthritis before. The trigger was the Pneumovax taken at the same time, but in different arms. I'm a BSN RN and I'm sure of it. I will die without the Fasenra. I hope there's a way to fix this. Dec 2023. I'll update if possible. Efficacy - 10/10. Side effects -"

"I absolutely love Fasenra. I was diagnosed with e-asthma in 2018 and have been taking Fasenra for just over 5 years now. After the first year, I was able to stop using my daily inhaler completely. Everything used to trigger my asthma, now it's just smoke inhalation (from fires). I went from using my rescue albuterol almost daily to using it - maybe - twice a year. The only side effect I have experienced was a headache right after taking the injection and the headaches stopped occurring after the first year. For the past 3 years, I have been using the auto-injector instead of going into an office. 2 years ago, I switched from 8 weeks to 6 weeks because it wasn't really lasting the full 8 weeks to begin with. This was confirmed with eosinophil levels slowly rising in blood work. Fasenra has been an absolute life saver. My family used to send me to urgent care at least once a month for severe asthma attacks and now I am free. I can actually breathe when I run and exercise!"

"Fasenra helped reduce the amount of asthma flares. Also, when I had flares, they didn't last as long as before Fasenra. I stopped the medication due to severe pain all over my body. I have taken Fasenra for almost a year. I wish I didn't have to stop it, but there's no other explanation for this pain."

"I have severe asthma. By last Christmas, I had 2 shots of Fasenra. The positive is that it made my life better. The negative is I will run a high fever every 3 days in the beginning, and it decreases to every 2 weeks. With this fever, I have horrendous body pain and am wheelchair-bound. I don't like it, but will have to stop it because this is not a life."

"It has been a life-changing experience. I had been having multiple ER visits per year due to asthma attacks that were neither prevented by the montelukast and Incruse Ellipta, nor controlled by the rescue inhaler. Last year, I was in hospital for a week with a blood oxygen saturation that would not rise above 90%, at the end of which my regular pulmonologist prescribed Fasenra, and the patient advocate in her office assisted me with the AZ&Me co-pay waiver program to allow me to afford the drug. That was about 16 months ago, and I have not had a single severe asthma episode since beginning the treatment."

"I just started taking Fasenra in June 2021. I have really bad acting up asthma and sinus. It's crazy. My next shot is July 27, and I pray it does for me like it does for y'all, because so far I don't see any changes. Smh. Thanks for listening."

"Fasenra manages my eosinophils very well. I still have occasional bouts, but the severe chest pain/tightness is gone. For me, the only side effect is generalized muscle and joint pain. Unfortunately, it is fairly severe."

"Fasenra has changed my life. In my 20s, I was an endurance athlete (running & triathlon), however, in my late 20s/early 30s, I had to stop due to worsening asthma. I am almost 40 and have been on Fasenra for about 1.5 years... I am now participating in these events again! I was able to cut my Advair dosage down from 500/50 twice a day to 100/50 once a day. I will say that I wish I could take the Fasenra every six weeks rather than every eight, as I can feel a reduction in efficiency starting at six weeks and do need my rescue inhaler more often for those two weeks before my next dose."

"This drug has been a miracle in my care. I had been hospitalized for severe bronchial spasms and pneumonia the third time last year. My number of attacks has gone from multiple to one since last year, my ability to maintain oxygen levels is great. I do get a headache, but the effects are worth the side effect. I am able to walk long periods and feel generally more energetic. Thank you."

"Fasenra has been life changing. I had struggled with bronchitis-type symptoms for 15 years nonstop. I found a specialist who treated me with Fasenra, and from that point on, my quality of life has changed. Truly remarkable."

"I took my first dose about 3 weeks ago, and the medicine really has made my asthma almost non-existent. I started having side effects of swollen lips and numbness in my lips 8 days in, I've been through a round of prednisone and hoping the side effects wear off soon. Great medicine, and I can smell for the first time in years, but the side effects were terrible for me."

"I have had 3 doses of Fasenra, and the results on my lung function were amazing. I had high blood oxygen, high exertion capacity - it was a miracle. I then had a transient ischemic attack (TIA) - (a known Fasenra potential side effect) which has symptoms very much like having a stroke. It passed, but was scary. I sought medical attention by going to an emergency room, and all the imaging of my brain showed no bleeding, e.g., no stroke. I spoke to my pulmonologist about the episode, and he prescribed some blood work to find out what my body is doing. Not sure if I will stay on Fasenra."
