I was recently diagnosed with bile reflux and prescribed carafate. Has any one had a positive experience with carafate as a form of treatment with the same illness. If so how did it take?

My doctor recently prescribed Carafate again. The remaining bottle I have from 2013 states that it should be used by 03/13/04. It is now June 2. This is a very expensive medication and, if this date is arbitrary, I would prefer to finish this bottle before reordering.

Carafate - Taking omeprazole and sucralfate .. how is the best way to take these meds to be most?

Can I take Carafate and Protonix at the same time? I take Protonix 40mg twice daily and Carafate four times daily. Do I have to wait between taking these two medications?

Can Carafate make you blotted and gain weight?

When is it the best time to take carafate..1 hour before meals or at bedtime?

I take it 3 times a day.

Will carafate (sucralfate) show up on a drug screening? Is it addicting?
