Please I need some help. I am only 21 and i cant really understand whats happening. almost every single one of my teeth is decaying and bad. my gums and teeth hurt daily. It's like I can feel them decaying away and it seriously HURTS! I live on my own and I don't have the money to go to a dentist. just to look at me is $150-300 and I don't have money like that at all. I haven't really been to the dentist since i was like 12. My parents just stopped taking me. No insurance I guess. I have Aflac through my employer and it's not enough to help. My teeth just continue to rot away no matter what I do. I've also never had any teeth removed ever and my wisdom teeth have mostly all come in. My whole jaw has been realigned. I look like a different person than before. I also sometimes get a really nasty taste and pus from the back of my teeth. It is quite unpleasing. My tongue sometimes gets big red bumps that hurt too. They last only a few days though then go away. I just wonder is there any way at all that I can find someone who will work on my teeth for either cheap or let me make payments or something. Maybe a chance for students to learn? Trust me I've got a lot going on in there and I am sure it could be a great lesson or something for a college professor or something. Is there something out there to help people like me that cant afford dental work. I just want to know what it's like to not be in pain every day and not have people think I am a crack head or something. My teeth disgust me and I am sure others too. I have seen this happen to people but not this young. Please let me know if there is anything out there.

Hey. I have had tooth decay problems for quite some time now. It started with one tooth when I was sixteen or seventeen and eventually as the years passed it started to become more rapid. I've turned twenty-two not that long ago and my five front row teeth are barely holding up. One fell out as the result. I know, I should have went to the dentist once finding out this problem, but it's a bit complicated and I know the expense is my fault for prolonging it. We've had a hard time financially and cannot find dental insurance that can help us cover a good amount of the cost. It's contributing on interfering my life to the point I cannot go out. I have been checked by a dentist and the cost is so much only for my teeth to be in worse condition...
I am 24 and my teeth are falling apart. I have had some of my teeth extracted because i do not have the money to save my teeth. MY pain is so bad that i am taking ibuprofen, Noproxem Sodium (Aleve), and aspirin all at once every 6-8 hours just to deal with the pain. Please i need help.
Hello, I need some help on my teeth. I'm not really sure how to get the ball rolling with my teeth as it all costs so much. All my teeth are either broken, infected and I'm even missing 2 of my front teeth. It's putting my confidence down a hell of a lot, I'm always crying about my teeth and I won't even smile in public because I'm so paranoid about them so I think it's about time I done something about it. I am very scared of the dentist so would be good if I could be put to sleep or something so I don't feel the pain. My ideal situation is to have all my teeth taken out and then all new implants put in with the smile design so that I can be happy with my smile. Is there any information or ideas you could give me so that I could do this please? Many thanks Lauran.
My friend has similar case as you he smoked too much and his teeth became so weak that they started falling at first he was embarassed all the time but he went not to clinic but a place he found a person giving away presentation cards at the mall. The card said they can make crowns gold silver etc. Even realistic be bought the gold ones and he call went in they took his teeth plate one week later he went and put the teeth in now he is happy. Find online or mall somewhere they have to be near you
How much did that cost him? As I'm only 19, I work full time but I'm not on a lot of money so it's hard really? I don't think I can live like this anymore?
I never had a cavity until 3years ago when I stopped absorbing food because I had 35lbs of water weight I Had no idea until I lost 75% of my hair and 3 back teeth fell out. The dentist said they were ALL rotten on the inside. Now they are yellow I have 1 1/2 bottom back teeth. All 4 k9 teeth have rotted outside and look like ground beef. I don't smile any more or laugh. My disability doesn't pay enough to afford to have them fixed. They said first would have to have the broken and severely rotted ones removed the specialist said 9 teeth and quoted several thousand dollars. Then because I have 2 sets of roots so another specialist said 5 root canals quoted several dollars. All that has to be done before any fillings, bridges, cosmetic and whitening can be done. It is SO painful I can barely eat. I wish I could have a free teeth makeover done I miss living with a constant smile, my husband said he misses my perma-grin. It has made me very depressed!
Im 21 as well with the same problem i get mad fun of all the time getting called names because of my teeth are bad I cant smile the pain is unbearable my teeth just keep decaying away and hurt all the time. Keeps me up all night I cant even eat most times or get any sleep my teeth disgust me they are gross my parents stopped taking me to the dentist at 12 and they just kept decaying I dont have dental issuance is there any place that will do payments for low cost to get my whole mouth done could you tell me what you had found to help you with your mouth ? Id greatly appreciate it
Come to Australia I know its far but teeth falling out randomly n look like hollow marrow bone makes me puke every day god thank codeine
I am 22 years old and in the exact same boat. No matter how much I brush my teeth, they still decay really easily. I had a $200 dentist bill to pay and now just a week later my teeth are making me stay up all night as I'm in agony. I have a feeling that one of my teeth may be dead. There is no way I can afford another dentist bill, but infection may spread if I don't get it fixed really soon. I know that infection from teeth can spread to your brain. I have been rinsing my teeth with salt water everyday just to avoid infection but that's all I can do. I'm going to talk to my dentist tomorrow but I am going away for a week so won't be able to get an appointment until the week after that. When I was seventeen I had lots of decay because I was stupid and young and hadn't been looking after my teeth properly.
However, the dentist that I had at that stage did not treat all of the decay that I had so that once I turned 18 (and had to start paying for my dentist bill in this country) he would get more money. I think that is why my mouth is the way it is today. I have been taking such good care of it for years. Yet still, every two weeks or so I have agonizing pain that torments me and I cannot afford to go to the dentist time and time again. I have no way to borrow money as I'm already in debt due to student loans and there is absolutely nothing I can do but hope that if I get an infection that it doesn't spread to my brain. I am absolutely just venting now. But there is nothing more I can do. It distracted me from my pain for half a second. I'm honestly tempted to get all my teeth pulled and have fake ones, but that will probably be just as expensive and idk, it also seems quite embarrassing :/ I really don't know why I am stuck with such porus and horrible teeth when there are people that I know that haven't brushed their teeth since they were really young :/ and they have no problems (Still don't know how they can live with the furry feeling though!).
I have the same problem i am not financial stable i dont how how it will be cause my teeth are going worse what can i do to have healthy teeth am scared
I know exactly how you feel, 21 when I have a mouth full of rotting teeth. I have two young little boys and it only started happening in between the pregnancies, youngest being six months old and eldest being 2 and a half, I brush my teeth regularly but they are just fading away really quickly too the point where I wake up most mornings with a bit of tooth on my toungue. I don't have the money too go pay for all this and I'm extremely scared of dentists is there any places that can do general anesthesia or iv sedation for dental work being health care and Medicare covered or bulk bill?
And now noone will hire me bc i can't talk without showin my teeth much less smile to earn a job and it i now hve been jobless for three yrs struggling bad
I work for a production company in new york and we are working on a new series that will feature dental makeovers. I am currently looking for participants (thats how I came across this thread) I would love to talk to you and see if you are the right fit. (Just so you know, there will be ZERO monetary contribution required. Just in case you think this is a scam.) Hope to hear from you soon.
I will try to send you my contact information privately.

I don't so drugs I never have I am a smoker both my parents have bad teeth my dad just got a heap of implants put in from Bali and they look amazing I'm so jealous but I'm glad it's happened for him he's teeth got really bad after chemotherapy

I wish someone would help me. I need extensive work you mouth and I have no money. I haven't smiled in years and all I want to do is take a family photo with my six girls and my wife. Please pray that someone can cover a smile I do desperately need. Thank you all.
Is this show a reality? Did it ever take off? I would be indebted forever to have help
I know and understand how you all feel. I had a tooth pulled when I was in high school in the 1970's and a couple of cavities filled. Then in the 1980's had a wisdom tooth pulled and a root canal. Then did not ever go back after that. The dentist hurt me cut the inside of my mouth he slipped with one of his tools, then also gave me a blood clot in my vein. So said I would never go back. Then last year I had one tooth that needed to be pulled it broke in half. So they pulled it and said you should come back and get your teeth cleaned, so I did, they made me do it in two visits, top one day and then bottom next visit. Then they took all of my dental benefits and also sent me a bill for over $600.00. Cleanings are supposed to be free to us with our insurance. Then after those two visits I now have three teeth with tooth decay and half of each one rotted out, then I also have holes in every molar. I just do not get how they can do this to people.
I can hardly eat things, chewing is very difficult, I am in constant pain in my mouth, I am diabetic and I have to eat. I have not been able to find a dentist that will help me. We are very poor, can not afford to pay a dentist, I work at an elementary school during lunch time doing yard duty to supervise children during lunch and recess. So I work 1 hour a day, the kids make fun of me because of my teeth. I have tried to get a different job but you have to smile, and when I do you can see my bad teeth and no job because of it.
There has to be someone out there willing to help people like us, in this situation. I need surgery for a torn tendon by my ankle. It they will not do,it because of my teeth, so it is very hard to do my job.
What things did u find out that have helpe Please help me. I'm 28 and been goin through this since i was 16 so i know u can imaginewhat i have been through . And I'm really sad anyone else has been through this. i have four kids ages are five thrpugh ten noone will keep me at a job bc i cant smile enk
Imagine 2000 years ago pleoples teeth wouldnt rot away because there was no alot refine sugar or refined carbohydrates artificial flavor. I have a cavity in one of my molars rotting away. What i did was stopped eating sugars which sugars and carbohydrates are the most hard on your teeth bacteria just keeps feeding of it. No breed no rice no fruit vegetables just steamed no donuts etc you get the point what i do is oil pulling with sesame oil and coconut oil.whi ch gets rid the debris in you teeth and bacteria has almost nothing to keep feeding of it. In the morning and before i go to sleep i do oil pulling. I do not use flouride mouthwash its has artificial flavors which bacteria feeds of it aftwrwards. I use 24 hours freah breath flouride free mouth wash and for toothpaste i use coconut oil mix with tea tree oil.tea tree oil is really good and strong agains bacteria.
Baking soda wow amazing against bacteria but bad for teeth if used alot i use it once a week.every time i eat i clean my teeth because every debris that gets stuck in my teeth bacteria will feed since i go to work and eat lunch there and cannot brush my teeth i can take oil to do oil pulling or just water and watch my teeth for trapped debris. I learned all this online and pretty much it works. I did this because my mouth wash wasnt strong enough to combat bad breath and tooth decay and always getting toothache and i feel better
Hey,
I am so sorry you are experiencing this problem. I have similar issues, although like other posters, not quite to the same extent.
Many dental care providers require A) a credit cheque (to ensure you are reliable in paying bills) and B) a down payment, before allowing for a payment plan. But there are ways around it.
I was scrimping and saving to pay for dental expenses, and often neglected essential work because I couldn't afford to pay. However, I decided to start calling around to several dental offices until I found one in my area that handles low-income people on a regular basis. I DID find one, and although my initial appointment cost approximately $350, after that, they became more lenient and worked with me so ensure I received quality dental care at prices I could afford (in the form of a payment plan).
Unfortunately, there will always be some sort of cost out of pocket to you if you do not have dental insurance. But don't be afraid to call around for a dentist willing to help you and who will meet your needs both orally and financially. There ARE dentists out there willing to help, you just have to call and find them.
Another option is to call around and find out if there are any dental programs in your area that you can take advantage of. Any way to lower the total cost to you is beneficial.
Sorry I couldn't help more.
I know what you're going thru. I am 20 & my teeth started literally "rotting away" when my mother passed away 2 years ago. I always took excellent care of my teeth and I couldn't understand why this was happened to me all of a sudden. My dentist told me most (if not all) of the decay was caused from stress, excessive dry mouth, low iron, & low vitamin D. I am now trying to find a dentist that will possibly do extractions on all of my teeth, I really don't want to get dentures or anything like that but it seems like that is going to be the only permanent solution to my problem. Some dentists wanted to do fillings and porcelain veneers but I chose not to do that because that would only be a temporary solution. I hope you got the help and information that you needed!
I know exactly what your going through. I am 26 years old and I have a lot of dental problems too. I have two children and ever since then, my teeth break just eating a banana. Recently one of my front teeth broke right down the center. Unfortunately I am unable to find any clinic or school that will help me. I am so disgusted by my teeth that I won't even look in the mirror. I have asthma and was told that years, and I mean years, 24 to be exact of high doses of antibiotics and extremely high doses of oral and inhaled steroids have done this to my teeth. I don't have the money to fix my teeth as I have two children to take care of. But I found something that has been a blessing to me for over two months now until my savings builds up. It's called IMAKO teeth. I wear them every. Please look into them and try them. No one would ever know they were fake. They look so real.
If you are a smoker please get the white instead of natural and get the stain sealer. The natural stains very easy and turns yellow. . ONLY BUY FROM THEIR WEBSITE! Not from amazon. But I know what your going through. I have tooth pain every day, and because of it, insomnia so bad. I wish you the best of luck. I will keep you in my prayers as we are both so young. Please feel free to contact me with any questions. Much love.

That would be nice mine are bad it just started the last year or 2 and i can't afford to go to a dentist
I completely understand where you are coming from. I went to the dentist regularly until age 15, and then I just didn't go anymore.. I guess due to insurance as well. Until the time I was 18 I never had any problems with my teeth. But now I feel pain, lots of it, nightly. It was, at one point, so bad that I had to cry myself to sleep.. and sometimes never even got to go to sleep. Some home remedies that I used to get rid of the pain included putting wet tobacco on the painful area, taking an airplane bottle of brandy and letting the liquid sit there until the pain subsided, or using a hot wet rag on the spot. I even thought I was going to overdose on aspirin trying to make the pain go away.
My predicament went a little something like this: When I turned 18 one of my top front teeth chipped and I got a temporary fix for it. There I was thinking that my whole ordeal was over.. little did I know it was just the beginning of a HUGE problem. After that, within the next 2 years my teeth started to get multiple cavities, on the inside, the bottom, and on the sides of my teeth. So I spent $4,000 getting 4 teeth reconstructed by my old dentist. This reconstruction didn't last more than a year and a half. He told me when I went to have this done that there were other teeth that he would not be able to fix. So, my grandparents recommended to me a dental clinic in South Carolina. The place is called Sexton Dental Clinic in Florence, SC. I went down there because I was having problems with some of my back teeth at the top. Unfortunately, they told me that if they pulled any of my teeth that they would have to pull all of them. As much as I hated the idea of being 24 years old and not having any of my natural teeth, I had to take the plunge. I got my entire top row of teeth pulled and dentures made all within the same day. I truly hated it.. there are no words to describe how I felt being so young and feeling so old. But I knew that I could no longer deal with the pain... it's a constant throbbing that just never stops. My total cost for extractions, as well as the denture was around $300, very good compared to a regular dentist office. I hope this helps.. and again, I'm truly sorry for your situation... and I completely understand where you are coming from with this. Hope you get it fixed soon.
Hey Samantha, I am in the same boat as yourself. I'm only 24 and practically my entire mouth is rotting and now matter how much I take care of them and practice good oral hygiene they still keep decaying to the point where a little bit of pressure is all it takes to take pieces off. Majority and broken to the gum line or pulled. My most recent was a front tooth directly next to my two larger front teeth.
So I know how it feels to not be able to smile, ever and have that constant worry about showing your teeth at all. Dental is ridiculously priced and most don't even cover existing conditions.
I bought a discount card from Dentalplans.com and it is called Careington Care 5000 Series Dental Plan. And that surely helps with the pricing. It only cost $90 some total to get an x-ray and an extraction. So you may want to look into that. Also there are dental clinics that do have payment plans and in house insurance. So your best bet is to do a lot of research until you can find such places. And especially check out the dental discount I told you about, it really helps.
Let me know how everything is going and I wish you luck,
