Definitely get to the dentist as soon as you can, when you see them ask about hexachloride mouth wash it helps speed healing and can help with the pain. Avoid acidic foods as well as very hot and cold and spicy food. Go with soft food like mashed potatoes and soup. Hope you get to feeling better soon.
Hello Leonardiii
Sounds to me like you have the beginning stages of periodontal disease. Another name for it is periodontitis.
After gingivitis the gum tissue starts to break down and pulls away from your teeth, thus creating pockets where bacteria can now store.
It's best to have Periodontal disease cared for by a Periodontist.
Periodontist's work on getting rid of infected soars, receding gums and they also specialize in dental implants.
Unfortunately, the reason why your gums are sore is do to the late stages of gingivitis.
Your best bet is to make an appointment with your general dentist. The dentist will give you a step-by-step plan on restoring your teeth & gums.
Hopefully, you have caught your gingivitis early and either your dentist or a periodontist can come up with a treatment plan.
Best of luck!

Hi Leo
How did you make out with your dental appointment?
Did the dentist refer you to a dental specialist or is he going to help heal your soars & gums?
I'm interested in the details if you feel like sharing them.
Be well!
