Rinvoq (upadacitinib) "My lab results are good. My level of fatigue did not change, but seems to work as good as Enbrel, Humira, and Actemra. They all worked well up until 3 years, and then they stopped. Coming up on the 3-year mark with Rinvoq."

Rinvoq (upadacitinib) "Rinvoq has been the only medicine that has helped, minus steroids, in my 3-year battle with severe RA. It has come with its fair share of side effects, with the most prominent one being dizziness and vertigo spells lasting long periods of time daily. Mild cases of heart discomfort and acne. It's hard to weigh in if it's worth it, as it's the only medication, minus steroids, as mentioned before, that has worked. I've tried just about all besides one more, so it's alarming that I'm on my last two options, so I'm continuing for now."

Rinvoq (upadacitinib) "Rinvoq was a lifesaver for me, but not without side effects including sinus infections, yeast infections, nausea, and most bizarre tooth rot below the gumline. I experienced such needed symptom relief with Rinvoq, I believe it sent me into remission."

Rinvoq (upadacitinib) "I diagnosed RA almost 7 years back. I went through Methotrexate, Arava, Enbrel, Actemra, and finally Rinvoq. It's a recent start, and initial doses feel amazing, reduction in pain and swelling. However, I am observing disturbance in sleep, very few sleep hours. I don't know if it's normal at the start of the medicine. Please share your experiences on the sleep matter. God bless you and heal you from any pain."

Rinvoq (upadacitinib) "I have been taking Rinvoq, and I have gained 18 pounds in four months. It’s helped my RA, okay, but I do have big flares once a month. I tapered the drug down to one every other day myself. I am so depressed too. I have never been so big in my life. I am not liking this drug but don’t want to go on steroids again, I was on them for 7 years. I have tried all the RA drugs."

Rinvoq (upadacitinib) "I only started about a month and a half ago. Initially, I felt very well but now am having some side effects. I'm not sure if they are all related to Rinvoq. Since last week, I've developed nausea and feel a bit off and fatigued. I just feel generally unwell. I had some night sweats for a few days but that is gone now."

Rinvoq (upadacitinib) "I was diagnosed 40 years ago and have tried so many different meds. After 3 months on Rinvoq, I started to feel better. More energy and very little swelling. It's now been 9 months, and I feel like before. It's just barely keeping symptoms at bay. How I wish for a medicine that helps me in the long run! I haven't had any side effects like others, so I am thankful for that."

Rinvoq (upadacitinib) "I have been using Rinvoq for 3 years now, and it has been my miracle drug. I have had no side effects from it. 2 years prior to taking it, I could not work, and my husband had to help me get out of bed and help me to get dressed. I was in a lot of pain. My rheumatologist had me on other drugs such as methotrexate, sulfasalazine, and etanercept that did not work for me. I am so happy that I have my life back. Of course, I still like to sleep a lot, but I am 62 years old, and I think this plays a factor in it too. You will know when you have found the right drug for your RA when you get no side effects from it, as I have found by taking Rinvoq."

Rinvoq (upadacitinib) "I have had rheumatoid arthritis since 2019, and in the last six months, I could not get it fully under control. I was prescribed Rinvoq and have been taking it for 5 days, and I have really felt the difference for the better. The swelling is definitely reducing. I have also found wearing arthritis compression gloves helps me to sleep better at night."

Rinvoq (upadacitinib) "Stopped flares in hands. No real problems with managing lifestyle. Taking 15 mg daily for the last 2 years, but have gained 8 kg. Have many of the aforementioned side effects, but that might just be old age."

Rinvoq (upadacitinib) "I have been on Rinvoq for two months and it has been a life-changing medication for me. No longer have flares in my wrists, thumbs, and hands. I can actually use my hands to pick up a full glass of water, cook, and open things. Have more energy and less stiffness. Life is different on Rinvoq and I hope it stays that way. Downside is some acne, dry mouth, and dry eyes - something I can deal with because the upside is so great. So far none of the serious side effects."

Rinvoq (upadacitinib) "This medication has personally been life-changing for me… I tried every other (cheap) “gold standard” RA med over several years and suffered every side effect imaginable. Humira injections worked for about 11 months until it provoked horrible, painful pustular psoriasis blisters on my hands and feet. My rheumatologist switched me to Rinvoq. AbbVie gave it to me for free for the first 2-3 years under their patient assistance program. Now, with the 2025 U.S. Medicare cap of $2k annually, I pay $167 a month. This med continues to work well to keep my symptoms 80-90% controlled with no obvious or debilitating side effects. I’m grateful."

Rinvoq (upadacitinib) "I have had RA for over 20 years. I have been through all kinds of medications: Enbrel, Humira, Actemra, methotrexate, Arava, etc., until they put me on Rinvoq. At first, it was very good, I never had side effects, it reduced my pain and inflammation. I have been taking 15 mg/day for over four years, but about two years ago I started having middle ear problems that have been increasing. At this point, I can't even get over the urinary tract infection, and I am experiencing very severe vertigo. I was diagnosed with Meniere's syndrome, but I have discovered that if I stop taking Rinvoq, I don't get dizzy. I have already suffered a bad fall due to vertigo, and I think I'm going to have to stop taking it."

Rinvoq (upadacitinib) "I still have flare-ups, however, the day-to-day pain and swelling are greatly reduced! I get very exhausted after several hours, but still much better than without Rinvoq. Thank you Advie for making it affordable… Without the drug, I would be completely disabled."

Rinvoq (upadacitinib) "I was on methotrexate for many years, but I was getting tired of the nausea and losing my hair. So I was changed to many other medications that did not work. I was afraid I had to go back to methotrexate, but fortunately, Rinvoq started working within the first week. I have been on it for four months. I have had COVID three times within this period, slight headaches, and a cough every night and morning. I mentioned it to my doctor and said it’s not a common side effect, but that we can change medication. I am getting tired of the cough, but I don’t want to suffer with RA pain. Besides that, I am feeling really good, my hair is back, and I don’t get nauseous."

Rinvoq (upadacitinib) "I had severe RA, had tried Methotrexate, Leflunomide, and corticosteroids and thus developed poor liver values. Since 2021, I have been taking Rinvoq, and after a few weeks, I was almost pain-free, can do sports again (just not extreme), work, and can participate in life again. I get a bit tired faster, but that's still okay. The pain I have now is arthritis in the hip. My quality of life has increased enormously."

Rinvoq (upadacitinib) "I have been on medication now for over 2 months. It started to work within 3 days. Side effects include nausea and feeling tired all the time. After a month on Rinvoq, I have gotten used to the side effects. I am on week 9 and starting to have other side effects, not sure if it is from the medication. These include sleep problems, my left knee suddenly swelling up and hurting, and my hips starting to hurt again."

Rinvoq (upadacitinib) "I find it alleviates my joint pain. I do suffer from muscle cramps on my right arm, pain in my left side (rib area) and stiffness, pain in the left side of my neck and pins and needles in my left arm. I also get very fatigued from time to time. I also suffer from symptoms of a UTI on and off."

Rinvoq (upadacitinib) "I too started Rinvoq about 6 months ago and at first it worked wonders. It still works really well, but now I take low dose prednisone when I have a flare-up (maybe twice a month). In the last few months, I've noticed that my scalp has become very sensitive, if not downright painful - it feels just like cystic acne that I had as a young woman. After reading these reviews, I'm realizing acne is a side effect and I 'fortunately' see one other person with this issue on their scalp as well. I realize these reviews aren't an answer, but at least it's a relief that there are others with this issue. On a side note, this Rx was a royal pain to get authorized by my insurance. I was supposed to go on Xeljanz (sp?), but they declined it and made me do this one first. Fortunately, the Rinvoq pharmaceutical offered a discount and I qualified for it."

Rinvoq (upadacitinib) "I have been on Rinvoq for 1 month. I had my labs drawn today and my results of my CBC are alarming! Low WBC, RBC, Platelets and more. I'm stopping this med and calling my Dr first thing in the morning."

Rinvoq (upadacitinib) "I have RA, Sjögren's, and fibromyalgia. I am almost always in severe pain everywhere, and my hair is falling out. Since I began taking Rinvoq, I am about 75% out of pain. No awful flares anymore! The only thing that isn't getting better is my liver enzymes are extremely high. I hope my doctors can get this under control soon, the numbers are what someone would have with liver disease."

"Prior to being diagnosed with RA, I was extremely active. I was a personal trainer and then a flight attendant. I was diagnosed with RA after it hit me like a freight train, rendering me bedridden and in pain at 26 for months. After 6 different medications that either I didn’t tolerate or didn’t work well, my rheumatologist put me on Rinvoq. The initial adjustment period to the drug took about 2 months, where I was nauseous after I took it. After that, it’s like I was pre-diagnosis. I’m able to lift weights in the gym, hike, travel, and live my life. I don’t follow a diet other than mostly healthy/fast food. The medication controls my RA and has prevented a flare for years now. The only time I did flare was after an issue with insurance, and I was without the drug for a month. The same cycle happened again after starting back-nausea in the AM after I took it. My friends and family know about my dx, but beyond that you would never guess I have RA thanks to Rinvoq."

"I was on Humira, but it wasn’t lasting two weeks. My rheum wanted to try another injectable, but my insurance wouldn’t cover it until I failed this class of meds. This is the worst my RA has ever been! This seems to do worse than nothing! I have a bunch of edema in my feet and ankles now, too, not to mention what is in my knuckles. I can barely open a door handle by myself now, and I am only 40."

Rinvoq (upadacitinib) "I had a good start with Rinvoq, but ended up in acute care with double pneumonia six weeks in. Since then, I have had vertigo and constant headaches. It’s now six months into my treatment, my vertigo is getting worse, and I wake up every day with another spot on my face or neck. I had perfect skin before and am way too old for acne."
