"I started taking 2, then 5, and now 7. Since June 2023! It is now October! I lost 37 lbs since! The only side effects are diarrhea for the first or second day, and dry mouth! I totally have no appetite and when I do try to eat the food, it tastes funny or I can only eat like two spoons of whatever meal is on the plate. I'm now getting my 10 then 15! I can't imagine how much more weight I will lose with the 10 and 15 in a four-month span. This medicine is totally incredible. My A1c in June was 9.6 and in September my A1c was down to 7.2. I've used Ozempic prior to Mounjaro and only lost 8 pounds on the Ozempic while taking it for two years! Yay Mounjaro"

"I don't care about the shame this drug gets in the media. This medication has changed my life. Not only can I finally lose weight at a reasonable rate/level of effort, I genuinely enjoy exercising because I have the energy. I no longer see exercise as a price I have to pay to lose weight (and then not even lose weight anyway). My appetite has also plummeted. I have to remind myself to eat. There are occasional 'breakthrough' cravings, so I'll let myself have a treat, but after taking one or two bites I can't fathom eating it anymore. I don't know the exact rate that I've lost weight, but I've been on the drug for 4 or 5 months now and have lost about 30 lbs (went from 210 to 180). This is with casual effort where I exercise when I'm up for it (usually 3-4x/week for 45 min). I do not count calories, just eat intuitively. Taking this medication does not make you weak, lazy, or wanting an easy way out (I've heard it all). If offered this medication, please just give it a try!"

"I have been taking Mounjaro for 6 months and have lost 30 lbs. My insurance company was approving the use of Mounjaro for weight loss up until 7/1/23. Now they will not approve this medicine. We knew this was coming, and my doctor was able to move the distance between dose increases to two weeks, so I have leftover lower doses. Thus, once I finish my current cache of 15 mg doses, I will be able to gradually reduce the amount I am taking. The only side effects I have had are an increase in preexisting constipation and some morning vomiting for 4 days in the week I went from 12.5 mg to 15 mg. I am waiting anxiously for the FDA to approve Mounjaro for weight loss. Once I was at 15 mg dosing, my rate of weight loss and ability to control my appetite seriously increased. I want to be able to stay on 15 mg. I fear going back to the way I used to be. At the end of the dosage reduction, I will go on Wegovy. I have taken Saxenda in the past, so I know it just will not work as well as Mounjaro."

"Started Mounjaro 5 months ago. Starting weight was 168. Had gained 30 lbs through several rounds of IVF. At 41 years old, the weight would not come off. Fast forward now 42, I consulted my Dr. and was prescribed Mounjaro. First 2 weeks mild nausea at lunchtime. So switched from a protein bar to banana. Stopped the nausea. Had a weird dislike for coffee, which I love. That never went away while taking Mounjaro. I ate very clean, chicken and veggies for dinner. Small plate, completely full. Increased my dosage slowly month to month and incorporated different foods. Only twice I had a very bad stomach reaction: ice cream and pizza. Do not recommend. As of today, I have been off Mounjaro for 2.5 weeks. Still losing weight! Down 44 lbs, feel great. Bloodwork is perfect. And this has forever changed my life for the better. Miracle drug! Healthier, happier, and hoping one day it is approved for weight-loss."

"I have lost an average of 1.7 lbs a week since I started 14 weeks ago—or 25 lbs. The day or two after I go up a dose, I just drink juice because my stomach is upset. I might take an ondansetron. I have thrown up a few times but mostly it's just like indigestion and gag reflex more than a more intense sort of throwing up. It's hard—I'm not going to lie. I just stay in bed and eat pudding. I don't have energy to do anything. But I'm going to get through it. Only a few more months."

"I have lost 45 lbs. with Tirzepatide. I dieted down from 265 to 215 on my own. Started Tirzepatide at 215 lbs in April, continued my dieting and exercise and titrated up to 15 MG. 5 months later I am now at a goal weight of 170 lbs. There are side effects but they are diminishing as my body has learned to tolerate the drug. I no longer feel uncontrollable hunger... for the first time in my life I have experienced satiety."

"Immediately my appetite decreased. I am in my early 70s, always had to watch my weight but was never obese. I just could not lose weight then Monjaro, the miracle drug, came into my life. I’ve been taking this for nine months and I have lost 40 pounds. That is such a miracle for me. I have been on 7.5 for months. They say don’t overeat because it will make you sick, but I don’t know how it’s possible to overeat when I had to force myself to eat. I was a little nauseous in the beginning, but I have learned not to have too much fat or sugar in my diet. The first couple of days after the injection, I feel like a new person. I look like a different person. I am so very grateful for this drug. I heard about it through a friend of my daughter. I say God bless that friend every day!"

"This medication has given me my life back. I have been on the diet and workout train for the last 24 years, but nothing worked to lose a significant amount of weight. I did take one medication that worked temporarily years ago but left me feeling like trash, and once I was finished, the weight came back and then some. I have lost 90 lbs on Mounjaro over the last 14 months. Yes, my eating did improve because it quieted the food noise. I no longer starve myself throughout the day and then binge. Mounjaro has truly changed my life. I was giving up hope and falling into depression because nothing worked, and I didn't want to risk my life with surgery. Thank you to the makers of this medication. You have no idea how you are changing people with weight loss struggles. It's so much bigger than stop eating and working out more. I wish people would understand, and I wish insurance would approve this for weight loss. So many people are struggling. I never got real sick, sometimes a little nausea the day after."

"I have had great success with Mounjaro and experienced very few side effects. The injection site gets an itchy welt, but that isn't troublesome. It initially caused constipation, but that cleared up as soon as I started taking a stool softener at night. I no longer have food cravings for sugary treats, and I feel full much longer and am able to avoid overeating. I lost 45 lbs in 6 months, which was 25% of my body weight. I am using it with diet and exercise for the best results."

"In the beginning, I couldn’t bend over to tie my shoes without having to take a break to breathe, or go through my 8-hour shift on my feet without having knee and ankle pain to the point of tears. I couldn’t wait until I was able to sit down and not get up but just to turn around and do it again. Injecting myself with very simple and easy steps to follow. I had very few side effects, only an occasional loose stool or nauseous sensation once in a while. My starting weight was 248 pounds and I am now 160 pounds. This has been a huge impact on my physical health. I'm able to walk and move throughout my day without having pain from the extra weight and stress on my joints."

"I now have been taking Mounjaro for 8 months. At first, the side effects are a bit severe, and it is difficult, to say the least, but good things come to those who keep going. I have now lost 65 lbs. I started at a very athletic 385, and now I am 320. The only real issue has been the medicine not always being readily available. I had to go a month without it, and my body and mindset just kind of stayed the same and gained no weight back. Every time you go up a dose, the side effects come back, i.e., burping, nausea, chronic fatigue, but it is better than being heavy and less healthy. For those who read these things, this is my first review ever, but I think this drug is worth it."

"I started Mounjaro on July 21st. After 6 weeks I am down 22.4 lbs, 201.8-179.4. I'm on the second week of my 5mg shots and I feel great. Minor side effects but since I'm eating better as far as food choices I'm not feeling as many side effects as the labels suggests, about the only continuous effect is the dry mouth, other than that I'm certainly glad for the shots doing what years of diet and exercise have not achieved. My initial assessment was that I'd be on Mounjaro up to 15mg, but based on my weight loss and lowered A1C into the low 6's, I will probably max out at 7.5 or 10 and go from weekly to twice monthly until I can wean myself off and keep myself at a healthy weight and A1C."

"I am just starting week 5. I started on 5mg, so today was my first 7.5. Last month, I lost exactly 20 pounds. I started at 222 and now I'm at 202 after 1 month. I get bad constipation, but nothing Dulcolax liquid can't fix. I drink 2 protein shakes a day, a handful of chicken, and some days I replace chicken with fruits and low-fat cottage cheese. I drink lots of water and have 1 coffee with only milk once a week. I can't wait until this time next month. It's definitely a game changer. I haven't been that active, but today I will start going to the gym 5 days a week. I will update next month."

"I highly recommend this drug. I have lost about 30 pounds in about 15 weeks. I had trouble losing weight my entire life, but this drug has been amazing. I don't lose weight as fast as I thought I would, given the media hype, but am very satisfied at 2 lbs/week without trying that hard. You just don't eat as much without even thinking about it. Even in weeks where I thought I ate too much, I lost a pound, so go for it. I have no side effects yet, but I am just beginning the 10 mg dose next week. My doctor has been step staring me from 2.5 to 5 to 7.5 every month. Cholesterol, blood pressure, and blood sugar/A1C are all down noticeably."

"I started at 0.25 dose with mild symptoms - tired, some gas. In the first 4 weeks, I lost 20 lbs, from 240 to 220. I bumped up to 0.50 to start the 4th week (I'm saving a dose of 0.25 to wean off later when I stop). The 5th week (the second week at 0.50), I'm having some diarrhea, though I did eat more bread today. I've found that if I avoid carbs, sugar, and only eat a very small meal (total 1 cup of food), I have no symptoms. I eat 2 small meals each day without hunger. The first few weeks, the medicine really stopped my food thoughts. But they are back slightly. One amazing thing so far: I have lipodema, where I accumulate a high amount of fat deposits in my lower legs and ankles. When I've lost weight before, or I've been at this weight, my ankles and calves are still exceptionally large. On Mounjaro, I've even lost weight there! It's wild for me to see smaller ankles & calves. I'm a 5'7 female and my normal weight is typically 200. I will be happy at 180."

"As far as weight loss, it is slow but steady. I have lost 34 pounds in 6 months. As I increase the dosage, the diarrhea and stomach cramps have increased. They were usually one to two days a week, now they seem to be constant. I am torn because the results are so good. I am now on a 7.5 dosage."
