For Vaginal Yeast Infection "Skip this product. I’ve had 2 vaginal yeast infections before from taking antibiotics, and AZO Yeast Plus has always worked for me. Well, my pharmacy was out, and they didn’t have Monistat, so I grabbed Tioconazole 1 Day. I did my nightly routine, and right before bed, I inserted the medication (around 10:30 PM). Instantly, I felt burning that wasn’t there before. I brushed it off and went to bed. I woke up at 3:03 AM with the worst pain in and out of my vagina. It felt like a shard of glass was stuck in my vagina, preventing me from sitting up correctly. I went to the bathroom after forcing myself up, and I felt okay to lay back down. I woke up this morning at 7 AM, and my vagina is literally swollen. This was my first time ever using this product, but I will never buy it again."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "DO NOT USE! Although if you are reading this, I suspect you already have and are now currently experiencing the raging fire from hell in your vagina, accompanied by the painful swelling replicated only by pushing a tiny human out of your vagina. I bought the Monistat brand at full price, so I wasn’t going for the cheap stuff. I didn’t look up reviews first because who would think such a volatile product would exist? I inserted the medication at 11 PM, within minutes I felt the burning, but I left it in and took some sleeping medication, hoping to wake with a bit less discomfort than I’d had the last few days. I WAS SO WRONG! Seriously, I had a child WRECK my vagina during birth, and this pain and swelling are comparable to that. All I can say is that the medication dang well better work because I’m currently sitting in a bath of baking soda and had to cancel all plans for today. RUN. If you were smart enough to look up reviews first."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "If you’re like me and used this product before reading the reviews, just know, you may also like to ready an ice pack and an anti-inflammatory of some kind! I’m about 6 hours in and I’m pretty sure there is a tiny flamethrower inside the applicator. I read the instructions and it clearly states that remaining product can be applied to the outer parts, but unless you’re into pain, don’t do that. My lady bits started throbbing from the pain and now they have been renamed my no-no place!! It’s swollen and itchy and 12x worse than when I began this horrid road to recovery. I have faith in my who-ha that she will bounce back, but of all the beatings she’s taken over the years, this one’s got to be the worst few hours in her history."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "Inserted this just before bed last night, and when I woke up, my vagina was swollen up to twice its normal size - it literally looked and felt similar to the way it did when I gave birth to my daughter! I could barely walk or stand, and I actually have little red raw spots that I am now convinced are little burns. I used hydrocortisone to combat the horrible symptoms Tioconazole gave me, but I am still feeling really awful. I will NEVER buy this ever again."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "If you’re reading this, chances are you're already having an adverse reaction to this medication. I inserted it at 9 PM and woke up at 2 AM with intense pain, swelling, and itching. I didn’t see any comments with advice on managing this, so I thought I would post what I did. I took a dose of Benadryl, ibuprofen, and put a pillow between my legs to keep them apart. By 9 AM, the pain was gone, and I believe my yeast infection symptoms went with it. So in the end, I guess it worked, but it was so not worth it."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "Let me tell you this stuff is not for the weak! My hot pocket was on fire about 30-45 mins after I inserted that devil stick in me. I really think it made me worse because now it hurts to even put my underwear on. Definitely going with the 3-day cream next time. I've never felt a burn and itch so bad in my life. My hot pocket is literally swollen. Also, the medicine ran out of me like ginger ale and Alka-Seltzer's had got together in there and had a party."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "Soooo, one day I happened to get a yeast infection and decided to go to Dollar General and try the brand “Tioconazole” because that was the only brand they had, and I usually get clotrimazole. Anyways, on the box it says it's best to insert it right before bed, and that is what I did. I woke up around 2 AM to a swollen, burning sensation. I ran to the bathroom (mind you, I could barely walk, it was so uncomfortable) only to find out my vagina was swollen shut! Please do not use this product! It's best to use clotrimazole! I regret not going to an actual pharmacy. Never again."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "Today I noticed some creamy discharge with white specs that appeared yeasty to me by the eye. So I bought this 1-day tioconazole. Shortly after, literally maybe 5-10 minutes after insertion, I felt some itching and a warmer feeling inside my vagina. THEN and only then did I read the reviews. Everyone is saying they have lots of burning, itching, and swollen lady parts. I really hope that doesn’t happen to me, seeing as though I wasn’t all the way sure of the symptom I noticed earlier in the day. Not sure if I should go push this medication out over the toilet like everyone says. But I am afraid I’ll wake up with a swollen vagina like the others. I’ll update soon..."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I applied it around 1 AM, and although I hadn’t experienced any burning before, I immediately felt sharp and severe burning for around 15 minutes. I awoke at 5:30 to a toned-down burning and enormous labia, painfully swollen, 4x their normal size. I’m going to wait it out and hopefully not go to the doctor/ER, but I may have to if the swelling doesn’t go down. I can’t even walk normally. This is an awful product, and I would not take it again."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "Well, as the others, I tried the 1-day Tioconazole, and my goodness! Why did I do that? My vagina is swollen, itchy, and pain, pain, and more pain! I was not prepared for this. Right now, I am currently laying in bed with my legs up in the air."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I had a horrible infection-itching, burning, swelling. So I picked up Monistat 1 at the drugstore and inserted it as soon as I came home. The cooling wipes that come with it are a lifesaver. After about 8 hours, I felt a fairly large discharge-assuming that the medicine needs to escape somehow. I felt much less itchy the next day, and my swelling went down 100%. However, I am on day 3, and while my painful/uncomfortable infection symptoms have completely subsided, I am still discharging quite a bit (well, a LOT actually). I'm hoping this is normal, but I may see a doctor if this persists tomorrow."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "Well, I was kind of skeptical about using the product because of some of the bad reviews. I decided to give it a try anyway, and I did not experience any of those symptoms. I inserted it last night after showering. No burning, no swelling, and barely itching. I woke up the next morning, and still no bad symptoms. Everything is coming out just fine to me. I use the off-brand kind too, by the way."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "Worst thing I ever used in my life. DO NOT USE. I’ve always done the 3-day. Never this. Didn’t read reviews and SO wish I did. I had some white clumpy discharge and very mild itching. So wanted to just knock it out and got this. Worst mistake of my life. I had some burning, nothing too crazy, then some itching, really irritating more than even before. Then I woke up and my vagina is swollen and just blah. So horrible. And it had to be because of this. Because it was not swollen, itching, or burning prior. I’m so mad I did this. Save yourself, ladies. Please don’t use."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "Never again!!! Only 2nd yeast infection ever, so I thought I'd give Monistat 1 a try. Holy moly, I have never felt such intense burning, itching, and swelling. Finally took a shower to wash away what I could, then had to use an ice pack. Up all night, so painful! They need to repackage with labeling and visuals of flames shooting from the nether region!!!"

Went to the pharmacy and thought, why not get the one day, super strength. WOW! What a mistake! Burning, throbbing pain, as well as swelling. Sleeping impossible. The next day, I was useless and trying to get this poison out of me in the shower. DO NOT USE THIS PRODUCT!"

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I've used the Monistat-3 the last time I had this problem. I had relief the next day. I think the 1-day pack must not agree with me. I woke up feeling worse than last night. I'm so swelled that I'm a little nervous. I'm going to give it a couple of hours to get better and go from there. I'm sticking to the 3-day treatment."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "NO. Do not take this, ladies! Unless you want burning, itching, swollen lady parts, that is. I applied this as I laid down to sleep, just like I would with Monistat 7, but immediately felt the fires of hell erupting inside and out of the last place any sane person would pick to feel it. Finally got to sleep after splashing with cold water and laying down naked from the waist down, only to feel more (less intense) burning when I woke up again at 1:15 in the morning. If it's too late for you, the best remedy seems to be a cool bath. Heaven help us all. If it's not too late for you, JUST SAY NO. This drug should NOT be on the shelves! Really, FDA??!"

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I purchased the Rite Aid brand 1-day Tioconazole after the Diflucan treatment failed. I'm so glad I did. The day after I applied the medicine, I only experienced a little bit of swelling and burning, which was totally tolerable. After 2 days, the itching had stopped, and all symptoms were gone after 3 days. This will be my go-to OTC med from now on if I ever need to use it again!"

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "They should really put a warning on the label of this medication. Used it at bedtime, woke up at 1 a.m. with a burning itching that was not relieved by any method. Completely miserable. I do not know why so many women react this way, but there should be a significant warning placed on the label. I'm going to reach out to the FDA. Beware of this medication. Hopefully, you read this before use, not after. There's nothing that's been able to relieve the inflammation, pain, and itching. I'd rather have a yeast infection for the rest of my life than have to feel this way."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "It has been 3 years since I tried this product. Somehow I had forgotten how horrible it is! I used the Monistat 1 Day ovule at 4 PM for a standard yeast infection, wanted to stop it before it was full-blown. By midnight, my vag was on fire, and by 2 AM, my labia was so swollen it was hard to walk without pain! I used this 38 hours ago, and I'm still in pain! This product is poison! Do not use if you value your health and sanity! Nightmare! Shame on the partner companies (Prestige Brands Holdings, Inc., the makers of MONISTAT®, and Vertical Pharmaceuticals, LLC) that make so much money off a known severe symptom-causing product. All female executives that have a hand in marketing and promoting this product need a sample dose of the fire ovule!"

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I guess our bodies do react differently. I was in excruciating pain with the swelling, the itching, and the burning from this yeast infection caused by antibiotics that I needed something fast! My husband bought me the Monistat 1 (first yeast, we weren't sure what to use). But this was the perfect treatment. Used it at night, right after a shower, and I felt so much comfort the morning after. I gotta say I was very surprised! I'm very satisfied with this product, well worth the $15. Do read the instructions. I used the cream applicator and (not that I want to, but) I would use it again. Fast relief for me. Thank you, Monistat!"

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "To be clear, my review is for the ovule, not the applicator. The ovule should be banished back to the hell from which it came. The ovule contains 1,200 mg of the antifungal; compared to 300 mg for the 1-day applicator, 200 mg for the 3-day, and 100 mg for the 7-day. Whoever had the bright idea to up the acceptable dosage 4-12 times deserves to be shot. If you take this product, your vagina will burn with the fire of a thousand suns and leave you trying to cool everything down with ice cubes and either running to the gyno or crying in your bathroom while trying to scrape out this horrible, horrible product from your now swollen, raw vagina. You will not, as advertised, be working, because it's hard to work when your vag is molten. DO NOT BUY!!"

The next time I had a bowel movement, the evil egg started to ooze out. My vagina has swollen AT LEAST twice its size. I feel like I'm being chemically burned. Goopy, which is fine - who cares... but the BURN AND THE SWELLING. I feel like this is worse than my YI. I just finished rocking back and forth naked, on all fours, on my bathroom floor. Prepare yourselves, ladies."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I've used Monistat 7 and 3 before. Never had any intense pain or swelling after applying them. But really, who has time for that, especially when there is a fancy 1-day application? Remember, if it sounds too good to be true, it probably is. Don't get me wrong, it works, you'll just be battling the fires of hell in your vagina most of the day. I used the 1-day last night, and all was good. I went to bed and slept for 5 peaceful hours. The pain actually woke me up: intense burning and really swollen. Took a bath and felt a little better. About 1 hour later, intense pain and the little bottle of devil's cream they give you sucks. I researched home remedies for burning and found that applying yogurt helps. Desperate and in agony, I found myself spooning yogurt on my lady parts. It did bring relief, but only for a bit. Swollen and burning, I decided to try ice. Get a bowl of ice and find somewhere to lay down and relax, you are going to need to be relaxed for this. I gradually iced it. At first, the only thing I could do was remind myself to breathe. Honestly, it sucks, but it feels really good when you go numb. It was absolutely worth the first 5 minutes. I noticed my swelling go down and my pain eased significantly. Monistat 1 is very effective, but it depends if you want a fire vagina for part of the day. I'm still torn if I'll ever use it again. It did make me feel much better, but there are a couple of hours of intense pain after applying."
